Thank goodness for Tapatalk. I only go to the actual website when I have to (typing lengthy reports for my boxing "Dynasty") and every time I can't finish and get away from there fast enough.

yea i'm seeing the same banana republican add which takes up the majority of my screen. Even when I close it out it comes right back.

Full screen adds on mobile. Have to swipe all the way up just to close it, then scroll back down to what I was reading. Doesn’t pop up until a few seconds after I open a thread or while posting. Really frustrating.

These ads have made the site unreadable. It’s too bad because I used to like it here. Now I’m getting a Days Inn ad that takes up my whole screen and won’t go away. Adios.

These ads take up the whole darn page on mobile—can’t even click any browser page buttons.

That’s fine. From now on I’ll use an ad blocker.

I have no inherent problem with ads, but it would be nice if the site was functional. In the interest of perestroika and glasnost, when this is fixed I’ll disable my blocker.

When you have issues w/ ads on mobile are you all referring to the TapaTalk OS mobile app or just browsing on mobile in general? I tried in both and haven't seen the full page ad. Might have been for a limited time or something.

The more details the better so I can relay the message. It's not as easy as it used to be and I could just disable them as the complaints came in. There is a process that takes place to get them removed now and if I don't have all the details, it makes things even more difficult to remove. Screenshots would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

For me I am simply using Safari, no other apps. I have not tried viewing the site in Desktop mode though.


One other detail: when I get the full page ads, they scroll with you (or more accurately, lay over the screen so that your scrolling happens underneath the ad), if I leave and come back (like pressing back and then clicking on the same thread), the same ad appears. I have to delete cookies or disappear for a while to make it not show up.

Other than the same ad remaining, it does appear random when these things occur.

With the ad blocker it’s fine, but I’d rather not do that if it hurts site revenue.

I saw that ad and it doidn't happen to me. Could you try the Google Chrome browser or FireFox and see if it does the same thing?

I'm on Android Google chrome and it happens almost every other page.

On some they cover the whole forum page and wants me to click for vacation.

I just want to add to the conversation as a Tapatalk user. While I do get the full page ads, it let's me scroll past them. So I'm hoping the issue is isolated to browsers so that a potential fix is easier.
