Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
In my 3rd season with Birmingham City, won promotion to the Premier League through the Playoffs beating Brighton in the final, had literally no money after buying back Jack Butland so couldn't re - sign many players lost Nikola Zigic to Carlisle United on a free transfer, but signed Mateo Musacchio on a free from Villarreal and in the August transfer windows managed a straight swap deal Musacchio for Nathan Redmond to bring another old Bluenose back to the club.
Started off shocking in the Premier League lost first 3 games and went out in the League Cup to Man United but bounced back in my next game destroying local rivals Aston Villa 5-1. Then I went on a great won undefeated for ages and got myself in the top half. Finished the season strong and needed a win & Liverpool to drop points on the last day to get Champions League football down St. Andrews for the very first time in history.
I was winning 1-0 against QPR when news came through of Newcastle scoring against Liverpool to make it 2-1 and as quick as that report ended QPR equalised! Gutted I was, I went all out attack and managed to score the vital winner in injury time.
Start of my 3rd season and I'm flying won every game in the league & beat Club Brugge to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League in which I've been drawn with Barcelona, Lyon & Sporting Lisbon!
Never enjoyed a career mode so much as I have this one, I recommend signing Nahki Wells ST, Callum Harriott LM & Jordan Obita LB as they have transformed my team into title challengers!

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
well, I'm really thinking of doing a MM Dynasty write up (this share feature on PS4 will make this infinitely easier to do). I have no idea who I'd like to be. I just know I don't want to be in England and I want to build up the club.
Any particular club you all would like to follow? I've done Dynasty write ups with Crystal Palace and Hertha Berlin in the past.Chicago Bears
Oregon State Beavers
Portland Trail Blazers
San Francisco Giants
Chicago Blackhawks
MLS: Portland Timbers
EPL: Liverpool FCComment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Hello everyone, Ive been reading through this thread at work to keep me entertained lately and decided to start contributing.
I just picked up a ps4/fifa and am starting a new manager with Newcastle, but it drives me crazy not being able to edit my players.
Would anybody be willing to gift me the edit player reward? My psn is sthcntrlsamuraiComment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
I've never done a La Liga MM, so I'm going to try and bring up Tenerife.
Before I start I want to know if Barca B & Real Madrid Castilla can be promoted. If so (which I assume is the case) I'll replace with Racing de Santander & Albacete. It'd drive me up the wall if either of them were to get promoted.Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
I'm in year 2 with tottenham now. I'm in 3rd place at the start of the winter transfer window and also qualified 1st in my tough group (psg, basel, and zenit) for the rd of 16 for the champions league (got 4th in the prem league last year), but got knocked out of the league cup in the quarterfinals :P. I won the fa cup last year and also the europa league, made it to the league cup finals, and won the super cup at the start of this year. my lineup now is:
1st team
GK Lloris 85
RB Walker 80
CB Chiriches 80
CB Vertonghen 83
LB De Sciglio 84
CDM Sandro 82
RM Pogba 86
LM Eriksen 85
CAM Insigne 80
RW Lamela 83
LW El Shaarawy 83
Subs
GK Butland 73
CB Vidic 79
FB Shaw 75
CDM Capoue 79
CM Paulinho 81
CM Sigurdsson 79
W Bakkali 77
Key Reserves
CM Chadli 79
CB Aké 69
CM Falque 75
FB Naughton 75
W Ceballos 72
Right now, vertonghen and walker are actually injured, so shaw and vidic are starting with naughton and chadli taking spots on the bench.
Transfers in (no order I can't remember, season 2 transactions have an asterisk):
De sciglio, shaw, butland, aké*, bakkali*, vidic (free)*, el shaarawy*, insigne, pogba*, bonilla (a 69 overall gk), damião
Transfers out
Rose, Lennon, Dawson*, soldado*, townsend*, dembele*, livermore*, damião*, gomes, archer (released)
El shaarawy for $40mil has been the buy of the century. 16 goals in 15 league games so far (!!!!) and was in 8.3 form at one point. De sciglio has been a great buy too, and he's gone from a 77 to an 84 in just a year and change. pogba costed a lot ($60 mil), but he's been good too. bakkali, butland, and shaw are developing nicely too and all three play better than their overall ratings. i'm thinking about selling insigne soon because he's not playing well and I think it might be better if I put eriksen in his spot in the lineup which would allow paulinho to get off the bench. I kind of regret selling dawson because my center backs have all had injuries or suspensions at some point and i'm running thin. trying to also get ake out on a loan and buy some more cb depth this january. are there any young cb's i should target? also, are their any good young cf/cam players (someone who can play a false 9ish position) i can get at a reasonable price? insigne isn't cutting it, and eriksen isn't quite a false 9 type player.Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
In Year 4 with Real Madrid so far everything has been great! There has been big changes but Real Madrid continues to succeed. Cristiano Ronaldo ended up leaving because he was homesick so we sold him and added Neymar to the squad. Then Gareth Bale took over and was outstanding but he wanted out eventually then I brought in Eden Hazard.
Starting Lineup:
ST: Neymar 90
CAM: Isco 89
LM: Eden Hazard 88
RM: Lucas 89
LDM: Luka Modric 87
RDM: Paul Pogba 85
LB: Marcelo 86
LCB: Sergio Ramos 88
RCB: Raphael Varane 87
RB: Marquinhos 80
GK: Thibaut Courtois 84
Key Subs and Reserves
Kofi Afenynu ST 80 (great potential)
Jorge Prestes CDM 72 (great potential)
Javier Azevedo RW 72 (great potential)
Carlos Figuiera LW 72 (great potential)
Angel Di Maria RM 87
Carlos Casemiro CM 83
Sami Khedira CDM 83Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Started as the Manager of Tottenham Hot Spurs (in honor of fathers day, thats my dads team fav team). First year was a bit of a struggle..trying to setting on a solid combo of both formation and starting 11/rotational players... ended up finishing 6th or 7th that first year.
But then came the offseason...i made some MAJOR moves... got a alot of the guys i wanted... Marcos Ruess (Ger), Hulk (Brazil) to name a few.. after it was all said and done, i sold players for a total of 102 mil, and spent 108 mil bolstering up my roster... and i paid off. Year 2 saw me take the Spurs to the top of the BPL!!!!
Year 3 has been a success thus far...had to add a solid back up GK because of injury, to my current back up. Added a couple solid role players to bring in off the bench...
heres my starting 11 for my next match:
GK- H. Lloris 86 (Good form)
RB- K. Walker 81 (good form)
RCB- C. Chiriches 80 (ok form)
LCB- J. Vertonghen 82 (good form)
LB- B. Assou-Ekotto 78 (excellent form)
RM- A. Townsend 78 (ok form)
RCM- E. Capoue 80 (ok form)
CM- T. Carroll 81 (bad form)
LCM- Paulinho 82 (good form)
LM- M. Ruess (excellent form)
ST- Soldado (good form)
Subs-
RB- Deandre Yedlin 76 (OK form)
LB- D Rose 74 (ok form)
CAM- M. Dembele 81 (ok form)
LM- Iago Falque 77 (ok form)
ST- Jozy Altidore 78 (good form)
GK- J. Ruddy 78 (ok form)
LB- K Naughton (awful form)
Reserves-
GK- J. Archer 59 (injured)
RM- R Fredericks 66
ST- J Obika 67
RW- Hulk 86 (injured)
CB- B Khumalo 65
CF- H Kane 77
As you can see...ive made a lot of changes over the nearly 3 yrs ive been here.
Currently, Tottenham is in 2nd in the BPL behind man u..crazy part is ive only let in 9 goals in league play thus far
Top 5 in BPL-
1) Manchester United- 52 pts
2) Tottenham- 47 pts
3) Liverpool- 43 pts
4) Chelsea- 39 pts
5) Newcastle Utd- 35 pts
Im in the semi's of the Capital 1 cup.. beat Liverpool in PK, play Blackburn next.Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
So after winning the A-League championship with my hometown Melbourne Victory in Australia, I decided to apply for the Peterborough United job in my 2nd season in the FL Championship who were struggling and sitting in 23rd of our table.
The board are looking to avoid relegation and it has been a very tough job given my knowledge of FIFA and the game of Football, After a few games I made a move and added some much needed pace along our wings and brought in Ben Halloran for the season and I sold our 26 year old striker Lee Tomlin(66) who was valued at $700,000 to Valenciennes FC for $1,355,000 and even tho it was a large offer Tomlin he was having a great season and paired up well with our up and coming prospect Britt Assombalonga (22yo,65+1 ovrl) and he has ben very hard to replace as Tomlin's experience could have kept me from facing the depths of relegation...
Currently the Table is
POINTS
1 Sunderland 88
2 Bolton 78
3 Crystal Palace 74
4 Hull City 71
5 Wolverhampton67
6 Burnley 67
7 Brighton 64
8 Derby County 64
9 Leicester City 64
10 Blackburn 61
11 Noot'm Forest 56
12 Watford 54
13 Blackpool 52
14 Sheffield Wed 50
15 Huddersfield 50
16 Ipswitch Town 46
17 Middlesborough46
18 Leds United 45
19 Birmingham 44
20 Millwall 41
21 Doncaster 38
22 Peterborough 33
23 Bristol City 26
24 Bournmouth 17
Sunderland have been extremely dominant with Emmanuele Giaccherini leading the goals with 19 this season with Bolton closing in on Sunderland towards the end of this season also noting that they are very keen to buy Giaccherini aswell as Real Betis showing interest with Sunderland stating "No Chance".
With 6 games to go against for Peterborough (Leeds, Huddersfield, Birmingham, Nott'm Forest, Sunderland, & Doncaster) As Manager my back is against the wall in this final stretch of our season as the board has E-mailed me their disappointment, and the fans are very displeased....I am placing my faith in Assombalonga to get us over the line!.Last edited by Matty Aqua; 06-16-2014, 06:15 AM.Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
started a new campaign...a bit tougher..
Grabbed Portsmouth from the FL2 league..
1st year...finished 2nd in FL2, got promoted to FL1. In both the 2nd and 3rd seasons...made the playoff for the final promotion spot in FL1... and lost both. Currently in year 4, im sitting 5th in the standings. Just grabbed a speedy striker from West Ham...hopefully he can get me some more goals.
Being at Portsmouth is brutal...ive got like 3 mil in transfer money... but haven't had more than like 17k to spend on wages in any year... its killing me that I cant grab a player that will be a big time difference maker. lol
Until I can get enough to upgrade my midfield more, ive pretty much had to stay in a 5-4-1 Diamond, since defence is my strength.Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
What is up with the new updated rosters? All players seems to have the generic black and white looking shoes (club teams). I would like to start a Manager Mode but would rather not manually edit all of the cleats myself.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the properly updates squads?
Thank you.MLB: Texas Rangers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Alright, so I play as Newport County and have brought them up from football league two all the way up to Barclays PL. Mid-way through my first season in the PL I started to receive some international offers, but I really wanted to get an offer from the US national team. So I decided that instead of waiting awhile to get an offer I took a short cut and bought the international manager thing from the catalogue (because I wanted a whole year with the Us team before the World Cup 2018). Unfortunately I completely forgot I put my managers nationality as Honduran, instead of American. Now this is where the problem arises, ever since then I played a whole season in the PL with a 4 and a half star team and have not received any offers from any country's at all. It blew because it caused me not to be able to play the 2018 World Cup with any team. Now I'm in the 2nd transfer window of my 2nd season since that moment I tried the international management thing, and I still do not have any offers from any country's at all! Has anybody else had this problem? I even tried creating another CM to see if I would get the international manger perk and nothing came up. Does this mean I will never get to lead any international team to glory!? At this point I don't care if New Zealand is the only country to offer me a contract I just want to play some International matches! Someone please helpComment
