With a disappointing World Cup behind me, it's on to preseason with Genoa. I easily had a half-dozen players leaving and returning due to loan expiry, so lots of menu time to take stock of my squad. First up, Gilardino announces he's retiring after the season, making a first-team striker even more of a priority. I also need some CB depth, but fortunately not a starter, since youth-teamer Alberto Milani came in at 73ovr! I could use cover for both wingbacks, but I'm going to try playing Cofie & Bertolacci there during preseason. Both are high/high workers with decent physical stats, so I think they can cover.

I signed Eder from SC Braga for €12m to lead the line; he's big & athletic, although his finishing could use some work. CB/LB Jelle Van Damme joined from Standard Liege for only €500k and out-of-favor complainer Marchese. Unfortunately, Van Damme apparently regressed significantly since I scouted in the spring (now 68ovr). Real Madrid has LM Denis Cheryshev transfer listed and I had a few lowball bids rejected. I think I can get him for around €2m, but I'm not sure it's the best use of my remaining resources. I'd be under €1m in funds with about €20k in wages if I sign him. I'm leaning towards no, possibly opting for a second 3* scout at €1.2m, and hoping injuries don't strike.

I moved out Floro Flores (loan returnee) and have Francesco Lodi listed. He has a fantastic left foot, but isn't mobile enough to play as a holding MF in my system. Although I may play a little more 3-4-1-2 this year, that CAM spot is where Ziyech will get his PT since Stoch, Fetfatzidis, and Promes will get most of the time when playing 3-4-2-1. Lodi's market value is €2.3m, but I'm trying to get his form up to eek another million or so out of a potential sale.

My objectives for the upcoming season are reaching the round of 16 in the Coppa Nazionale and qualifying for the Euro League (5th place or higher). I'm not worried about the first one, but that league goal is a real stretch. And for some reason, France reportedly wants me to manage the national team.

Ok so I had to get this off my chest. In my first manager mode in 14 I go with QPR - a pretty common choice. I pick up some great young players and youth talent. I'm coasting...buying, selling, winning...Season 1: Win the championship and gain automatic promotion. The young talent is budding. The new transfers are thriving. Season 2: We lose. A lot. But we stay out of relegation. That's a win. More new talent comes via a pretty nice transfer budget increase in season 3. Things are looking up at QPR. Most of the talent is now all 75 and above. Caesar is back in goal mopping up and Andros Townsed is leading the way at 81 overall in midfield. The squad is defying expectations and hovering around mid-table. Midway through the season it's sitting in 9th place. Not bad for a team only in it's second year back from the scrub leagues. Then - while were knocking our way up the table - the most beautiful thing happens! I'm fired. Wait, what? Fired? I just took this team back to PL, avoided relegation, and have you sitting in 9th freaking place! Fired. Hell no I quit! Fifa 14 is now somewhere on the street below likely crushed many times over by passing cars. My window was open when I threw it....Guess I showed EA...take that. My 60 dollars is now in pieces on South Elm.

I've had that happen to me too. But its because you are not completing all the goals. I am assuming they wanted you to make a quarter final of a cup or two and to finish high table (top 6) and you were so far back in points that you couldn't? That is what happened to me. I just picked another team.

I do wish you could turn off being fired though. Once you make a really powerful team they expect you to win EVERY competition. It's ridiculous.

They also need to fix the transfer budget issue. "Oh, you made it up to the Premier League! Awesome, here is a £2mil transfer budget, We expect a mid table finish"

Agreed, it should be an option like it is in all other sports games. And yeah the budget stuff hopefully is fixed in 15. That and the switching job budget bug. Where if you are a small team and transfer to a big club you old budget comes over with you. Those both need to be fixed.

So found an old back up save of my Peterborough United career!, starting my 2nd season with the team. perfect!!!

Once again struggling in the FL championship after being promoted from League1, We're currently sitting in the relegation zone, So i have to turn things around very quickly, I'm still a few weeks away from the January transfer window and i don't have alot of funds to play with unless someone sells for big money!...I would like to bring in a good striker on loan for the rest of this season

I've invested heavily in scouting bringing in Chris Surman a 3✮ scout to help really narrow down attribute points and help me make better choices, I've also brought in the 3✮ Sweedish youth scout Jakob Thorbjornss, I had to invest my limited transfer funds wisely so instead of spending big and sending him to Brazil,Spain,Italy or Argentina i took the cheaper option and set him up in Japan for 6 months...I have him currently monitoring 15 year old Hiroya Takishida who has a 69-93 potential, I'm hoping he shoots up a little bit more as he is listed as 5"1, But if i have located the a future star in Takishida this cheap scouting request has paid off big time, although none of the other prospects have looked good!.

The only bright spot is my Capitol One Cup run has been going fantastic so far!, I have been rotating my squad and playing the youngsters in the cup games, they have been impressive although they don't have high ratings, We defeated Crewe Alexandra 4-1, Mansfield Town 1-0, Birmingham City 2-1, and made it to the final 16 were we drew Blackburn Rovers. I played most of my starters and gave my 2 young future stars Adama (from Barcelona B) and recently aquired Gedion Zelalem (from Arsenal) the start, We got the hard fought victory over Blackburn 3-1 and move on to face Premier Leagues Leicester City in the quarter finals!...

FINAL 2015-16 Premier League Table

Won the Premier League for Stevie G! He decided to retire following the win. We also won the FA Cup.
The Champions League saw a Quarterfinals defeat to the hands of Chelsea. Willian somehow blasted a deep shot in the 119th minute of the second leg to see us lose 2-3 on agg.

I've played a few games in 2016-17 now. Sitting in October. Here is the Liverpool season breakdown thus far. (I'm planning on filling out the rest of the fixtures tonight)

Looking good so far! Sturridge went down for a month after the 5-0 win against Warszawa.

No big surprises on the table yet. Blackburn is doing a fine job in their first season back in the PL though, sitting in 11th.

I had this whole big write up about the end of the season yesterday, but before I posted we lost power. And I don't feel like writing it all back up and making all the tables and what have you. So a quick summary.

We (Bournemouth) finished 4th in the Championship (FL). Lost the playoff final for promotion to Wigan Athletic 2-1. So play in the Championship (FL) one more year. Also lost in the semis of the EURO League to Crystal Palace on aggregate 5-3. But some how managed to win the F.A. Cup final against Chelsea 3-2.

Then for the new season, since I have acquired so many good CMs I decided to switch from a 5-2-1-2, to a 4-3-1-2. I sold off some CB to prevent complaining about not playing so much and picked up a new CAM with the funds. Got a solid squad for the year, so getting promotion should be guaranteed this season. Probably put all effort into that and not really care too much about cup games. I put too much effort into the EURO League last season which cost us some league games.

Im my 4th season with Everton, teams I can challenge but never beat, because teams are stacked. Man City in EPL and in champions league Real Madrid. Got them in group play and been beat 3-1 in both matches. They have Ronaldo, Suarez, Bale, Modric, Marcelo, Di Maria, so on and so on. Luckily beat other 2 teams in group to grab 2nd and move on.

Side note: my striker Adam Campbell has turned into a star, tied a top EPL goal scorers. Also been developing US players: Gatt, Yedlin, Chandler, Brooks, Johnson, Aguedelo all get regular play time including starting 11.

So I was kinda playing with the youth system. I just brought up a guy that it had listed as a LB and a CB. He has 90 speed, 89 Acceleration, 79 finishing, 78 crossing, 87 short passing, 40 MARKING
PLEASE LET ME CHANGE HIS POSITION!
He's a 68 overall LB
his overall would be; 79 LW & a 78 as a ST. So annoying.

It would be nice to have that option.

But I would just play him in one of those positions. I've slowly realized that OVR and default position don't mean anything in this game. They do a little but for the most part they don't mean anything. I play guys that are CDMs as CB all the time. Because they are rated way higher in defensive stats than most CBs. I also plays CAMs or CMs some times as strikers if they have a high finishing and attack position stat. Or LM/RM as LB/RB.

Personally I would love finding a LB with those stats. I like using my LB/RBs as attackers. I send them forward a lot. Those are perfect stats for a LWB.

I've hit an odd bug. I can't sell anyone during the winter window. I have every player on my team listed. Guys that are in top form and should be attracting offers. No offers from anyone. Yet news stories about how all these teams want them. I can also apparently buy anyone right now for no money. I sent a low ball offer for Lewendowski for like 1 million and they accepted. I may need to reload an older save.

EDIT: reloaded an older save, simmed to the window and it was fine. Not sure what happened.
