Re: Strict offsides calls - and EA's stance on this

Ya, handballs are crazy. I have them fully on right now, and ya, they are coded to impart an advantage how the CPU sees fit. It's been that way for a while now, but on the bright side, at least I can watch a replay and see the ball clearly making physical contact with the player's arm, not like before where it was a maybe/maybe-not situation.

The offside runs are so dumb ... nevermind when you have the patience to hold off the extra fraction of a second so you don't get an offside call, the player who was attempting the run bails on the idea, and starts jogging aimlessly in the stupidest direction.

Oh wow this. Some of those line on top of the line offside calls it would at least be cool to see the forward trying desperately trying to get back.

Or even on the basic ones like you wrote if as soon as the pass wasn't played to the player offside there should be a recognition and accompanying hustle to get back onside.

And then of course the smartest play of all with deep threaten attacks. To see a forward step off the end line to take himself out of jeopardy.

That last one I will leave for PES.

I think you guys are missing another problem with the off sides calls and that is the back line pushing up with esp type timing before your pass gets kicked.

Not to get side tracked but I feel like next gen fifa 14 gameplay has regressed backwards slightly compared to last gen and pc. Only talking about gameplay though.
