More often than not, I have trouble just getting into an online game on FUT. Regular online seasons is fine, but FUT seasons, it will take me like 10-15 attempts sometimes to get into a game.

that's weird. I normally find an opponent on the first try.

My NAT is on open and I lose connection EA servers randomly a lot. I notice it happens more when I'm using my Xbox on wifi than wired but it still seems to happen for reason at times. Doing single player too.

                The squad...

                http://www.futhead.com/15/squads/623460/
Being brand new, I would definitely suggest getting full chemistry on every player, and also trying a few formations to find what you like. With that in mind...

Do you want to use Walcott as a "Striker"?
Walcott's stats lend him to be a really good striker -- 82 Finishing, 79 Curve, Finesse Shot, Speed Dribbler, and Tries to Beat Offsides traits are really awesome for a striker. In order for this to work, Walcott will need to have his position changed from RM to RF, to get the most chemistry he can. These next squads all assume you want Walcott playing "upfront" and not as a winger.

                Squad 1: http://www.futhead.com/15/squads/5694690/
                Formation: 4-1-2-1-2 (2)
                Notes:
                • ST -- I've played Bony in this formation on one of my teams, and he really excels. He has the strength and passing to be a hold-up striker,so that you can have Walcott making runs for a lobbed through ball combination passes. He has an incredible shot and can finish anywhere in and around the box with his 80 Finishing, 84 Heading Accuracy, and 81 Long Shots. He is also deceptively quick, because that 73 Pace rating hides that he has 77 Sprint Speed in-game. Once Bony is up to speed, he has the pace and strength to out run/muscle most CBs in the game. I cannot recommend Bony enough!
                • CAM -- IMO, a CAM needs at least 4* weak foot, 4* skills, good dribbling, passing, long shots, and decent finishing; enter Adam Lallana. Lallana possesses all of these requirements with 5* weak foot, 4* skills, 83 dribbling, 79 passing, and 73 finishing. With his 5 * weak foot, he can easily feed balls to any place on the pitch that is open. If you enjoy using skills, he has the skill rating and dribbling to make CDMs and CBs look silly. He is just a very well rounded CAM and is super cheap.
                • LCM -- I decided to keep Henderson, because he looks like a well balanced midfielder that can support you offensively and defensively. With high/high workrates, he will help cover if the other midfielders are out of position. I think he will work well.
                • RCM --Dembele is my choice here. He is an extremely well rounded player. Every physical stat is at least 73+. He has all the skills needed for a CM that supports your attack. I think the most important stat for him is his 79 pace. With Lallana, Henderson, and Fernando, you really don't have a lot of pace in the midfield, and you can get eaten alive by a lot of FUT players. Dembele should help mitigate this risk.
                • CDM -- Keeping Fernando, because he plays like a beast.
                • LB/RB -- Keeping them the same, though if you wanted to splash some cash, you can pickup Moreno at LB and Walker at RB. Not necessarily needed IMO.
                • LCB -- I haven't used Per Mertesacker, but I imagine him being awesome in the air when he can sit back, but horrible on the counter attack. That's why I put Ashley Williams in. He is strong, fast, and good in the air. A decent all around CB.
                • RCB -- To pair with Williams, I am suggesting Younes Kaboul. He is very fast and will be your main deterrent to pace whores, but he is also big and good in the air. He's also a cheap beast!
                • GK -- Caballero is a really good GK for being only 79 rated. If you want to upgrade, I would save some money and get De Gea. He is so good.
                • Manager -- Make sure you use an BPL manager from England. This will raise Walcott's chem from 5 to 7.

                Squad 2: http://www.futhead.com/15/squads/5611290/
                Formation: 4-3-2-1

If you want to have more direct buildup on offense, and want to try something that is a pseudo "False 9" you can try this squad.

                Notes:
                • ST -- I have gone with Stevan Jovetic for your striker to act as the "False 9." What that means is he has enough passing to play the ball to Walcott and Jay Rodriguez as they cut in behind the defense for open looks on net.
                • LF -- The other change is moving Jay Rodriguez to LF. His high/low work rate will help him get into forward positions for passes from Jovetic or Walcott, or even long passes from the midfield. He also has really good finishing, which is the most important, because almost all his scoring chances will be in the box.

Didn't have any trouble connecting just now. Played a match online and won 5-2. Disconnected randomly right at the end, after the game had ended.

So it got counted as a 0-3 loss, and I lost one of the 3 games I loaned Franck Ribery for

Re: Official FUT 15 Discussion Thread

So done with playing online. Jesus.

edit: OK, I've settled down a bit, the last 3 games I've played a lot more reasonable squads, so maybe I just got unlucky with a bad string of those ultra-teams

Opened another gold pack and pulled Ezequiel Lavezzi! And I had a LW >> LM position card, so he fits right into my 4-1-2-1-2. And he scored a hat trick in the final game of my online season to help me stay up in my current division.

I also bought John Terry for 2,000 coins, and an Argentine LB, Ansaldi, to fit into my Argentinian left side (Ansaldi LB, Lavezzi LM, Cvitanich ST-L).

So, is it possible to get to 100 chemistry with 2 different nations? Like if I built and England/Argentina squad?

Indeed I checked it out. Thanks so much for the guidance.

I realize that there's much more that goes into player ratings other than just the 6 ratings on their cards.

I simply can not get my mind around how people have so many coins in FUT.

I earn approx 400-500 coins per game. Is this what everyone else averages too, or am I doing something wrong? I get excited when I get to 10,000 coins, and that's only happened once I believe. I'll NEVER be able to afford the 'studs' at this rate. Any advice is welcomed.

go to the ea catalog in the fut section use some coins boosts. they will give you a set boost per game for a limited time. ex 200 coins per match extra for 10 games.

I trade quite a bit to make coins. learn the market a bit and try to find some good deals. I bought some fifa points in the beginning of the game during early access and had some pack luck. since then I buy players low and sell for a small profit. sometimes you get lucky and find a player well below his buy it now normal price and can make 20-50k quickly.

one thing is to not buy packs with coins. its rare you will get a high priced player from packs. it normally ends in tears

I trade consumables pretty regularly. Really low risk and I make 200 coins on each. May not seem like a lot but multiply that by 50 on the transfer list and its 10,000 coins profit every 3-4 days.

I also buy in form cards the Sunday-Tuesday after they come out and wait for their prices to rise when they're out of packs. I did this a lot the first couple weeks the game was out.

Eventually, you can start buying more expensive in forms and get a larger profit. For example, I bought Aubameyang's in form card on Tuesday for 215,000 (PS4). His price is already around 255,000 within 3 days. I'm fairly confident that he will get to 300,000 in a month or so since Bundesliga lacks options at striker (Aubameyang's normal card is RM but his In form is a striker). All about investments.

Took me 2 FIFA's to understand a lot of this so don't think that it's just you.
