Re: Official FUT 15 Discussion Thread

I am really starting to like my team. Just bought Theo Walcott and Mathieu Debuchy for pretty reasonable prices. Debuchy scored the winner in the first match I used him in, a 1-0 victory. So I like him! Haha

Here's my squad as it stands: http://www.futhead.com/15/squads/7606834/

Speed on the wings with Walcott and Lavezzi. I was surprised how cheap Higuain was, too.

Gerrard and Lallana are solid up the middle.

I've been thinking about finding another EPL striker to upgrade from Crouch, but I love his height. He has scored quite a few headed goals for me. So maybe I'll roll with him for a while longer.

Re: Official FUT 15 Discussion Thread

So, I recently sold off all my players and was able to get around 270K coins. I just wasn't happy with any of my squads and wanted to find the "right" formation for me, so I spent that money on a bunch of medium priced teams, and I've found that the 4-3-3 (1) and 4-3-3 (5) are the formations I play best in. Here are those squads!

      Squad 1 -- PSG/Brazil/Sneijder Hybrid
      Formation: 4-3-3 (1)
Join the biggest FIFA Ultimate Team Community on the internet - Create Squads, Search the Database, and find FIFA 23 (and historical) stats.

      Notes:
      • This is my best scoring team so far. In 5 games, Cavani has 8 (including 2 hat tricks), Lavezzi has 1, Lucas has 5, Sneijder has 2, Coutinho has 2. That's 18 goals in 5 games!
      • Cavani;he has all the stats you want, he is a clinical finisher from anywhere within 20 yards of goal, and he wins a ton of headers. The only issue with him is that he does love coming back on defense, which is good when your opponent is passing it around your half. The only thing is this can get him out of position when you are attacking. Not a big problem, but noticeable a few times each game.I cannot believe he is less than 10K coins.
      • Lavezzi hasn't scored a lot of goals for me (he had a ton of goals in my Argentina squad), but he has set up most of my scoring by making that killer pass to Cavani or Lucas, or by getting down the wing and holding the ball up while my midfield gets into attacking position.
      • Lucas has been a surprise. Whenever I played against him, everyone just tried to abuse his pace on the wings, but I have found him most effective when I have the ball in midfield and can pick out a ground pass to him as he is pressing the back line. His finishing is pretty stout in the box, where he has scored a killer volley into the top of the net for me. He has also picked up a good share of goals by using his pace to beat out the defenders when the goalkeeper coughs up a rebound.
      • Sneijder is playmaking machine. He has the most assists on my team and just feels so good to use. His longshots are sick, as seen by him scoring a 35+ yard attempt into the top right corner of the goal. He has also been surprisingly decent in defense.
      • Coutinho is a fun CAM to use. He has great dribbling and pace, so he glides with the ball. Although he lacks shooting ability, I have noticed that he will make a lot of killer runs into the box. If you can feed him the ball at the right time, he doesn't have issues finishing. Really nice player.
      • Felipe Melo is the bruiser this team needs in the middle. He easily has the most tackles every game, but he isn't just a defender. He has good creative stats that really help out when you are playing possession. He is always a good option to pass to, as he can launch long passes to your wingers with ease, creating a ton of width.
      • Motta and Rafael have been decent fullbacks, but nothing special. They have done their job, but I'm thinking I will try some other Brazil players in these spots.
      • Santana and Miranda are a great defensive pair. They have great pace and height, so they rarely concede on crosses. The only thing that gives them trouble from time to time are lobbed through balls. Without the best defending stats, they can sometimes whiff on clearances, allowing the other team a scoring opportunity.
      • Julio Cesar has been OK. Luckily this team doesn't concede a lot of shots, so he has had a few clean sheets or 1 goal games. He has let in a couple soft goals, but in this game, what goalie doesn't?

      Star Players:
      1. Cavani -- Best ST I have used.
      2. Lucas -- Great all around RW
      3. Sneijder -- Great creative force in the midfield. I think he would do wonders in his natural CAM role.

      Squad 2 -- Spanish Isolationism
      Formation: 4-3-3 (1)
Join the biggest FIFA Ultimate Team Community on the internet - Create Squads, Search the Database, and find FIFA 23 (and historical) stats.

      Notes:
      • This team absolutely dominates possession. Everyone on the team can pass and dribble well, so if you know what you are doing, keeping the ball in the opponents 1/3rd of the pitch is very easy.
      • Jovetic is another wonderful single ST. Although he hasn't performed as well as Cavani, he is still a treat to play with. Whereas Cavani may be scoring a ton of goals, Jovetic sets up as much as he nets himself. He performs almost as a False 9 at times, but also have the ability to run past the defense and on into goal. One of the things I was impressed with the most was how great at finishing he is. He has scored some of the prettiest "outside of the foot shot" goals, both at the near post and across net.
      • Jesus Navas I thought was going to be my dream winger. Statwise he looks perfect - pace, crossing, passing, dribbling, etc. Perfect right! Well, he hasn't lived up to my expectations. Although he is fast, when he has the ball he can be caught by decent LBs. The only thing he has really excelled at has been crossing, where he setup a killer volley for Jovetic with a low cross, and an own goal with a low cross. Other than that, nothing special for me.
      • Oooh Santi Cazorla! Oooh Santi Cazorla! (sung to 7 Nation Army). Santi is SOOOOOOO GOOD! Don't let his pace scare you, he is easily the best LW I have used in-game. He can dribble around everyone, provides great linkup play in possession, and for some reason, he is always in the right position. I've scored every type of goal you can think of with him -- lobbed through ball over the defense, skilled dribbling along the goal line, finessed longshot from outside the box, tiki taki passing through the middle with Santi finishing it.
      • Cesc Fabregas has been OK for me. I was hoping that I was picking up a CM that would provide a ton of help on offense, but he gets way overshadowed by Cazorla on the left side of my formation. What I do like about Cesc is that he works hard defensively. When I need to defend, he always seems to perform well. not what I was expecting, so I will try out some other Spanish CM (like Bayern's Thiago), and see how that goes.
      • Busquets only costs 4.4K, but he is the best CDM I have used! He plays a lot better than his stats look, because his interceptions and positioning are so high. He is always in position to break up the opponents play in the middle of the pitch, and is another creative player to help me keep the ball. Just a joy to use!
      • Borja Valero is the biggest surprise on this team just after Santi. He is a dominant midfielder, has great passing, and an even better shot. I have not used another player that finds the back of the net from range better than Borja. I think he is the perfect CM from this formation.
      • Jose Enrique is a solid LB. He isn't the fastest, but when he is playing on the same side as Cazorla and Fabregas, he plays a lot quicker. He doesn't get forward very much, but I don't mind that since he provides great cover for the CBs. He has been burned one or two times, but usually he is in the right spot to make a play.
      • De Marcos is an incredible attacking RB. He has really helped my team retain possession on the wings, and since he is so fast, he can catch up to the fastest players in the game *cough*Reus*cough*.
      • (Inigo) Martinez is being used mainly for chemistry with Busquets, and because he is fast with good defending stats. I'll be completely honest here - he is a great CB, but he is also the weak link. He can play everything well, but he does mess up clearances occasionally, and that has cost me some goals.
      • I was a little hesitant to use (Javi) Martinez because he is so slow, but I am beginning to learn that overall stats matter the most for your CBs. On my Argentina team, Garay easily outplayed and covered lobbed through balls better than Rojo, even though Rojo is a ton faster. The same thing holds true with this team - Javi stops EVERYTHING. He is easily one of the best single CBs I have used in the game.
      • Diego Lopez has been solid in goal. He has made some amazing saves, especially when the opponent is very close in on goal. Solid, but I also like De Gea here.

      Star Players:
      • Oooh Santi Cazorla! Oooh Santi Cazorla! (Repeat x Infinity)
      • Javi Martinez
      • Boja Valero/Stevan Jovetic -- Tie here because they are both vital to this team.

      Squad 3 -- France False 9
      Formation: 4-3-3 (5)
Join the biggest FIFA Ultimate Team Community on the internet - Create Squads, Search the Database, and find FIFA 23 (and historical) stats.

      Notes:
      • This is the team that made me fall in love with the False 9, and it is all because of King Henry! He is immense! He is great at hold-up play (which you really need in this formation), but even better attacking. In 5 games, Henry has 9 goals. 9! Most of these are from lots of quick passing just outside of the box, and then Henry makes a class run at the defense and always gets the ball. It may look like he will come up short, but I kid you not, he always gets on the ball! Top that off with some of the best finishing in game (his stats lie a lot), and he is a perfect False 9.
      • Griezmann is an incredible LW. He has some of the best all round stats -- he can run fast, dribble well, shoot well, cross well, and make good attacking runs. Solid player, though maybe a bit overpriced at 7.8K.
      • Jeremy Menez is a big surprise of this team. As a non-rare player, you would think he wouldn't be as good as Griezmann, but you'd be wrong! I'm not going to say he is better, but he is just as good, and has more goals for me than Griezmann. He has just enough pace to get by people, and a deceptively good shot. I've found that he is most effective playing one-two passes off Henry or poaching goals when the goalie coughs up a rebound.
      • Remy Cabella is a great player. I've used him as a CAM and he did exceedingly well. He isn't as good as a CM, but he can still use his insane agility and dribbling to make high pressure players look like fools. Solid choice, but there may be better options.
      • Yohan Cabaye is another great player, and he does excel at CM. He hasn't contributed much to my attack besides being a player that I can possess the ball through, but I know form other teams I've used him in that he is deadly when he shoots from range. I haven't been able to get him the space he needs to launch a shot yet, but when I get more comfortable with the formation, I think this will start happening. I also like that he tends to hang back whenever Matuidi makes a forward run.
      • Blaise Matuidi is a certifiable beast. I was a little hesitant using a High/High workrate player at CDM, especially since the CDM in this formation tends to get forward a TON even with Low/High workrates, but I cannot have been more impressed. He is the best CDM I have used in the game, because he literally goes everywhere to make a tackle. His high attacking workrate has also proven useful, because he offers some great runs into the box when you are play possession. He hasn't scored any of these goals yet, but he has forced the goalkeeper to make a save twice, and hit the post twice (which one resulted in Menez poaching a goal). He is the uber cheap Ramires. Use him now!
      • Tremoulinas has been a very solid LB for me. He hasn't let me down defensively yet and has gotten into some good attacking positions. One of these times he was able to grab an assist when he fed a nice through ball to Henry, where he crushed it first time into the bottom corner of the net (goalkeeper had zero shot at saving it, much less reacting to it).
      • Abdoulay Konko is one of the best RBs I have used in the game. He can sometimes push too far forward, but he is a great crosser and dribbler when he does. I also love how powerful he is when defending. It makes it very easy to push someone off the ball. Highly recommend trying him over Debuchy if you need a France RB from a non-specific league.
      • I have to talk about Raphael Varane and Laurent Koscielny as a pair, because they are the best defensive pair in the game IMO. They are both big and fast defenders, who also don't lack any defensive stats. With this pair I have had 3 shutouts and 2 one-goal games in 5 games. because of this, I went 5-0 with the team. Koscielny can occasionally push too far up the pitch, but Konko, Varane, and Tremoulinas hang back to cover any counter attacks.
      • Ruffier is very solid goalkeeper, after all, he only conceded 2 goals in 5 games, but I think that is mainly a result of the defensive pair playing in front of him.

      Star Players:
      • Thierry Henry! King Henry! I love using him as an Aresnal fan, and I am so glad he is still world class in this game. He is a great False 9 and even plays great at Striker, and with his new Inform card, I think will be a great Left Forward.
      • Rafael Varane/Laurent Koscielny -- Have to list them as a pair, especially since this team doesn't concede goals.
      • Blaise Matuidi -- Really, really, really good. 'Nough said.

How long does it take you to sell stuff? I know this is an open ended question, I just have a lot of stuff I am trying to sell but feel like it's mostly garbage and SLOWLY sells.

How do you determine your Buy Now price in comparison with what you list the player/item?

        Thanks, friend

          Easy.

          Go to www.futbin.com

It will show you the current lowest Buy It Now prices on the market, as well as a multiday timeline showing you the price fluctuations over the last few days.

Usually what I do is one of the following for cards I want to sell:

Low Contract Card (0 or 1 contract):
Sell it for just below the lowest BIN.

          7 Contract Card:
Sell it for a little higher than lowest BIN.

          High contract card:
Sell it for 400-500 more than lowest card.

That's all if you want to sell fast.

          -----------

If you want max profit, prepare to wait on it, but you can use the timeline from FUTBin to set your price. Example, look at the timeline Loic Remy on FUTBin. You will see that he bounces between 19,500 and 18,000. So I would list him at 19,500 for a few days to see if he sells.

That site is great. Can't believe how many awesome FUT sites there are!

Time for me to boast. I bought In form Aubameyang for 215,000 coins 3 weeks ago and just sold him for 400,000. Love it when investments work out!

I'm going to buy 4-5 IF Griezman cards on Tuesday. You guys think this is smart? He has a great position change with great striker stats. Messi, Suarez and Benzema are the only better strikers in the Spanish league if I'm not mistaken. He's also French which is one of the better nations for hybrids. If I can buy him for ~100k I think his price could rise back up to 150k.

Also, I bought an IF Antunes (left back from Spanish league) to flip for profit. However, when I try to move him from the transfer targets I keep getting an error that says the item could not be found. Anyone have this problem before? He was 13,000 coins and I can't even quick sell him for a moderate loss. Am I out of luck or can I contact someone at EA?

I had this happen quite often last year with players sticking on the transfer list or purchased and cant move them. contact ea , they may be able to help you quickly but I doubt it. it took them 6 or 7 months before they refunded me 300k for some cards that stuck.

I got real lucky with guessing on who would be included in TOTW 8. Picked up about 10 James Rodriguez for 43k last Saturday and sold all for about 50-51k on Wednesday. Picked up about 30 Griezmann's for 3k on Saturday and sold each for about 4k on Wednesday. Fun fun.

Muller had a hat trick. I guarantee he finds himself in TOTW 9.

I'm currently running with a Bundesliga squad. Here's how it looks:

                    GK: Neuer
                    RB: Pisczek
                    CB: Hummels
                    CB: Hoewedes
                    LB: Alaba
                    CDM: Lahm
                    CM: Schweinsteiger
                    LM: Reus
                    RM: Robben
                    ST: Gotze
                    ST: Lewandowski

                    It's a really fun team.

I'm jealous you were able to spend 215,000. I feel like all I have is garbage to sell (get like 350-500 coins/card) and earning 400-500 coins per match--takes forever to get anywhere.

I feel like I need to land one superstar card so as to get the ball rolling with the major coin spending/investing.

I just spent basically my entire bank (40,000) on 3 of his cards. Hope you're right

Good lord that team has everything. Why not Boatang at CB? Also how is Gotze at striker?

                            Mega packs are out there.......

I think I'm going to break down and buy a couple of them (using points not coins). Sad--I'd rather use MY coins ($$$) than 'in-game' coins LOL...

Yep the temptation is real. I had some great luck with 35k packs last year. BUT I'm resisting and trying to make a profit from the ridiculous amount of consumables on the market right now.

Decided to buy one of those jumbo packs and got Van Persie and a bunch of losers. Might just sell Persie and try my luck at a few more packs.
