Since you love the 4-2-3-1 (2), I'll keep all my suggestions with that formation in mind.

I see you want to upgrade your BPL and Liga BBVA squads, but what is your goal? Is it to have specific players? To have the highest rated players in the league? To have a cost effective balanced squad? Figuring out your goal with each squad will be a tremendous help in figuring out where to go forward.

First and foremost, if you are trying to make coins, do not buy packs with coins! Statistically, you will always spend more coins on packs than you will get in return for the players, unless you get extremely lucky. The people you see on YouTube packing Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, etc. are using Fifa Points that they get from promoting Coin and Point selling websites. Long story short, the only way to consistently make money is to play games (using Fifa Catalog coin boosts) and buying low/selling higher on the transfer market.

With that out of the way, let's talk about your squads, starting with the BPL:

First, and this goes for every squad, make sure every player is on full chemistry. This is paramount because lower chem equals lower stats in-game. With that in mind, here are some ways I can see you building out your BPL squad. My goal here is to not necessarily give you all the best players, but instead to make the squad better, while keeping the overall cost of the team the same or lower. This gives you more funds to play the transfer market to get those high-end players. I will then put players on the bench that you can work towards to upgrade the squad.

Why it's better than your current squad?

• Full chem
• No more position changes (assuming Paulinho already has been).
• ST -- Lukaku is a better all around player than Welbeck, but worth the money. He can dribble, head it, muscle through people. Everything you need in a lone striker.
  Upgrade Target = Balotelli. Nothing to say. Balotelli is one of the best strikers in the game.
• CAM -- Jovetic is class, but we are going to sell him for Barkley so that you have more money, plus Barkley is a better CAM due to his dribbling and 5* weak foot. Barkley will just dominate the midfield and allow your wingers time to push forward for through balls, or he can just dribble around the defense and take a shot on net.
  Upgrade Target = Rooney. You said you wanted Rooney, so use Rooney as a CAM where he is perfect. Probably your lowest priority upgrade because Barkley is that good.
• LM -- Get rid of Oxlade-Chamberlain because he doesn't have full chem and pick up Arnautovic. What Arnautovic lacks in pace, he more than makes up for it in this shooting, passing, and dribbling. He can be used to feed crosses to Lukaku, blast long shot from outside the box with his dominate right foot, or even pick up the scraps in the box with his underrated finishing.
  Upgrade Target = Schurrle. 'Nough said.
• RM -- Aiden McGeady can be your new RM. He doesn't have the shooting or passing of Ben Arfa, but he has way more pace and the same 5 * skills.
  Upgrade Target = Jesus Navas. IMO the best RM in the BPL and maybe the game.
• CDM -- Keep Paulinho because it is class. Ditch Herrera because he is all pace (IMO) and get a better holding CDM in Sandro. He is quick, strong, and has high interceptions.
  Upgrade Target = Matic. Matic is a haus and should be in anyone's top BPL squad.
• LB/RB -- Honestly, you have some of the best BPL ones here. No need to touch them unless you absolutely have to have someone else for personal reasons.
• CB -- I say ditch Vertonghen. IMO he is way over priced for what you get. Instead pick up the cheap and pacey Onuoha. He is big and fast (the best defending stats in FUT...) and is one of the top CBs in the BPL.
  Upgrade Target -- No need. Onuoha is that good, but you can also go with Cahill from Chealsea for more strength. Either will do, really.
• GK -- I love Howard. I really do! I use him, but every time I go against De Gea I say to myself, "Damn, how did he stop that?!?!" IMO, De Gea is the best BPL GK.

Honestly, it looks damn good already. All you can really do is tweak some places and then save up money for Benzema, Modric, Ronaldo/Neymar, and Bale. However, you can tweak the team a little right now, and I think it will play better.

• RB -- You can put in De Marcos or Montoya for Arbeloa to get more production out of that position.
• CB -- I've used Pique before, and for me he was a disappointment. I would recommend Miranda for him.
• RCDM -- A better (cheap) alternative is Grzegorz Krychowiak, also from Sevilla FC. Dude is a big bruiser and will win a ton of headers in midfield, while also laying waste with his tackling. You could also add Khedira for more money, who will also perform well.
• LCDM -- Kroos is great, but might be better suited at CAM. (Only issue is that Cerci is an AMAZING CAM). When you can, place Modric at LCDM, as he has better pace and defending than Kroos. Also, Modric dominates the midfield. The best midfielder in the game IMO.

Yes, this is amazing! Thanks for the tips. I haven't been to the forum in a long time, so I completely forgot about this post. Just wanted to let you know that your advice wasn't wasted.

As far as my BPL squad goes, I had Balotelli up top, but he was just so disappointing to me. I got rid of him and saved up for Sturridge, who always runs at the right time and puts up goals for me. I just have a man crush on Jovetic, but I can let him go for Barkley. I also have no problem trying out the players you have suggested for the rest of the BPL.

As far as my BBVA team goes, I saved enough to get Benzema, and I would REALLY like to have Bale, Messi and or Neymar, but I'm hitting roadblocks with buying and selling cards. I very much suck as this. I try using the mass bidding method, but I'm not sure which cards are worth purchasing and selling. I only have 22k, so I'm not sure which player or consumable should i invest in and sell.

I purchased a bunch of Jovetics, Taarabts and Nastaics for sell. They all used to sell like hot cakes, but Jovetic price has gone from like 3000 to like 1500, no one buys Taarabts anymore, and I'm not sure what's going down with Nastaic. I still have quite a few of these cards left over, and I got discouraged when I saw the price drop. I'm willing to take any tips from anyone.

So, I'm kinda in limbo right now.... Just looking to see what I should do and how I should move forward with making coins.

Its pretty solid so far, but still no match for those who have Bale, Messi, Neymar etc on their team. Any suggestions on how to improve upon it? Maybe a way to link Neuer to the team as well? Or should I sell Neuer, get Courtois and use the extra coins to improve the rest of my team?

I like to play a fast paced counter attacking game and keep the play in the air a lot, playing off of headers. I'm gonna try to get Ramires to replace Tiote at CDM but after that I'm not sure who I should aim for.

I would sell neuer and buy courtois. courtois is just as good as neuer in game and is about 130k less (xbox). I would keep costa or benteke but pair one of them with a pacier striker like vargas or sturridge.


I would buy cahill or koscielny with mangala to give you a better defensive pairing. matic at cdm is an absolute monster especially considering his price. ramires at rcm over mcgeady gives you another all around midfielder which helps in the 4-1-2-1-2(2). plus ramires is the best player to defend the opponents who try and score from the kickoff all the time.


I would also swap out sagna for either coleman (everton rb) or walker (Tottenham rb). this will give you a bit more pace on the outside to help defend fast wingers.

I have Koscielny and really like him. I can also attest to Matic being a beast at CDM. Ramires has a high attack workrate and is all over the place (not really worth the investment IMO). Fernando (Manchester City CDM) is who else I use at CDM.

Also for CAM, I was advised to check out Remy Cabella (Newcastle) and he is incredible to play with.

Lastly, I would make the GK swap you referenced. Courtois is awesome and def worth getting AND extra coins.

Thanks for the advice. I just bought Walker with coins that I already had. Waiting on Neuer to sell then I'll get Courtois and use the extra coins to buy Ramires but as a replacement for Tiote and also get Sturridge to replace Bentkee. My team should be pretty deadly then and at that point I'll probably be able to just save coins to get the top class players.

I wouldn't use ramires as my lone cdm in that formation. he has high/high work rates and is a box to box midfielder better suited for a cm role. he can leave you exposed on the counter attack since he pushes up the pitch during the attack.

I wouldn't use ramires as my lone cdm in that formation. he has high/high work rates and is a box to box midfielder better suited for a cm role. he can leave you exposed on the counter attack since he pushes up the pitch during the attack.

Hmm, well most of the time it seems like I am getting paced down the middle on counter attacks and Tiote just isn't able to keep up and steal the ball back so I was hoping Ramires would be able to fix that problem. I feel like using Matic would just make my problem worse. But if Ramires is pushing too high that may be a problem as well. I'll probably just buy Ramires and if it turns out to be a problem I can just resell him.
