Good work. This might help me get through a grueling couple of months of the off season in Europe.
Glad to see that I have fans backing! Considering we are still in the top 4 and in a decent position to get out of our group, I can't believe that the board we being so stingy about a couple of defeats. I'm really excited about this season, and can't wait to get to January to get that CL group stage money and try to make a couple dealings! Let me know what the fans think I should do in terms of a January signing, where do we need to strengthen?

          2018-19 Season

After an unexpected treble winning season for Viking FK, the club was looking to repeat. The additions of Mane, Frey, Reyes, and Fuentes coming in on free transfers looked to strengthen the club. During the summer transfer window GK Bonilla was sold to Koln for $4,000,000 after being replaced by Rigoni, and club prospect Espen Nilsen (73 OVR) on the depth chart. Arokoyo was sold to Aston Villa for $4,500,000 and. Igboun was sold to Southampton for $8,000,000 after demanding transfers. Leading Tippeligaen scorer Ajaujo was sold for $9,500,000 to LOSC Lille in an offer Martin could not refuse. Filip Helander (74 OVR) was purchased from Malmo $8,500,000 to help replace Arokoyo. 21 year old ST Herrera Perez (71 OVR) was signed as a free agent. Late in the transfer window, Bruma was sold to Roma on a $24,500,000 transfer fee, and Finne was sold to Dynamo Moscow for $20,000,000 which stifled Martin’s offensive force from the previous season.

In the Super Cup, Viking defeated Juventus 3-1 in extra time after Mane scored twice to be named Man of the Match (de Lanlay was injured and did not play in the Super Cup). The reigning Champions League victors were placed in Group G featuring Roma, Marseille, and Celtic. Viking topped the group with 16 points, Roma finished second with 11 points. Marseille was relegated to Europa League play by beating Celtic for third in the group by a single point. Viking were dominant in the league, however Rosenborg kept just a few points back with both teams having just one loss between the two clubs by the Christmas break. In Euro 20 qualifying, Norway got out to a terrible start losing 3 out of 4 games to start the campaign. Before turning it around.

In the winter transfer window longtime Viking captain Joackim Jorgensen was sold to Sunderland for $1,600,000 as he was replaced by Fuentes as a starter. Cuero was sold to Stade de Reims for $1,800,000, and Kvirkvelia was sold to PSV in a deal that brought in Jeffery Bruma (76 OVR). Mohamed Elyounoussi (71 OVR) was bought from Celta Vigo for $3,800,000 after needing to outbid several other clubs. Several players were brought in on loan to offer help in support of the Champions League campaign including Frick (71 OVR) from Bayern Munich, Anderson (71 OVR) from Borussia Dortmund, and D’Haene (73 OVR) from Barcelona. LM Skannes from SK Brann, and CB Dyrestam from Aalesunds were signed on a free transfer for next season.

Rosenborg could not keep up with Viking as Viking FK easily won the Tippeligaen finishing with 84 points, and no losses. Rosenborg finished with 66 points, well clear of third place Molde. Chima Chukwa of Molde won the scoring title with a total of 21 goals, Frey finished second with 16. Norway currently sit second in their Euro 20 qualifying group behind Germany, and 4 points ahead of Portugal, Russia, and Turkey. In the Champions League, Viking defeated Juventus 2-1 on aggregate to advance to the quarterfinals. Viking was paired with Bayern Munich which was won by Viking 5-3 on aggregate in a very even, back and forth affair. In the Semifinals, Viking was defeated 3-2 on aggregate to Barcelona, which held the balance of the play and won on 2 goals by Messi. Viking did not play their best football in these games and the players now have to wonder what could have been for the rest of their lives. Real Madrid defeated Manchester City 2-2 on away goals to set up an El Classico Champions League Final. Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 2-1 to win the Champions League! Viking’s de Lanlay would be crowned Player of the Competition on the Champions League. Liverpool would defeat Premier League Champions Arsenal in the Europa League Final by a 2-1 score line. Viking would complete the double and defeat FK Haugesund 2-1 in extra time to win the Norwegian Cup (why does every cup final need to end in extra time?). Martin was named Manager of the Season, and thus end a successful season for the Norwegian powerhouse Viking FK.

Your gonna get some stick for even a slight thought of letting cresswell go. Not only has he been pretty solid there for you, he plays both ways well and is a FK specialist. He also creates some decent chances and can get the ball in to a Carroll or wickham.
Wickham just needs to get into a grove, but if you were to pick up a ST, Jese rodriguez? Great pace, ive always been able to finish with him, he can play the wings as well as up front. You could run a 2 ST lineup with Jese and Carroll, one for the through balls behind the back line, the other for the air attack. Also, I think he would be more affordable than a benteke who is hot and cold at times.

                    Bristol City, English Premier League
                    End Year 4

Our objective was the board was to avoid relegation. Very happy with our finish. 12 points clear of the relegation zone.

Chelsea and Man City were tied at the top of the table, with Chelsea winning the title on goal difference.

It was a fun season! Nice to finish strong, winning 4 of our last 7 games, including wins against Arsenal and Liverpool.

                    Fixtures

                    @ Swansea, 2-1 W
                    vs. Aston Villa, 2-1 W
                    vs. Man City, 0-3 L
                    @ Arsenal, 2-1 W
                    vs. West Ham, 1-1 D
                    vs. Liverpool, 2-1 W
                    @ Spurs, 0-2 L

Kieran Agard once again led the way in scoring for the team, for the 4th year in a row. Although, I think this might be his last year. He is getting older, approaching 30, and I have a young CF/ST who is poised to take his place. Agard is rated 73, and this young player from my Academy is now 19, and is rated 71. He probably won't be a world class striker, but should develop into a decent player, I plan on featuring him mainly at striker next season.

Jamie Winfield (RM) and Danny Raglan (CDM), both from my Academy, are looking like they might develop into fantastic EPL players. Both are just entering their 20's and are rated 76 and 78, respectively. I was happy that Winfield's goal totals saw an uptick this year, even playing against tougher competition in the EPL.

                    Offseason

                    TRANSFERS OUT
                    Luke Freeman --> Stoke City - $4,500,000
Loaned out 4 young players as well

No transfers in yet, the board gave me $14,000,000 to play with, though. Plus $3,000,000 from Freeman's sale. So I have 17 mil. I really think I might just stand pat right now, and splash on someone in the January window, when I can better identify what I need to take the next step.

My expectation from the Board is a mid table finish.

Some highlights from the end of the year:

                    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7K_FnFzISdU?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

That tying goal against Arsenal might be my favorite goal of the season. Winfield showing off some of his skill, and then Saunders, my huge CM, just hammering it home with authority.

Here's the formation I'm going with to start the season.

ST: Hanley (71 OVR, England, age 18)

LM: Basso (73 OVR, Italy, age 22)
CM: Saunders (72 OVR, England, age 23)
CM: Morris (74 OVR, England, age 21)
RM: Winfield (76 OVR, England, age 20)

CDM: Raglan (78 OVR, England, age 20)

LB: Little (69 OVR, USA, age 19)
CB: Maguire (78 OVR, England, age 27)
CB: Reid (79 OVR, England, age 31)
RB: Fielhaber (68 OVR, Italy, age 26)

GK: Napoles (70 OVR, Spain, age 21)

I'm guessing I'm the youngest team in the league. If not, probably pretty close!

Fair enough! Yeah, I definitely would love to keep him as long as he says that he wants to stay! He's having a bit of a down year so far besides that one heroic FK goal that he scored so I definitely think this issue has been weighing on his mind, so hopefully he can commit his future, clear his head, and stay at the club.

Jese is an interesting option, I would love to try him out on 15, so I will definitely give him a thought. He would definitely offer something different in a 2 striker lineup, so I will have to scout him and make sure that he can play as a striker and that could be a possibility! Thanks for the suggestion!

Oh he can play there! lol, its funny, i had him out wide when I brought him in to Liverpool and he would end up in the box heading gols...Idk if it was my timing or he just found a way onto the ball, but he can score from play well. Idk if he would be the best option up front alone if your looking to head gols in, but using a guy who can get behind the D and another striker in the air worked well for me when I played a 4-4-2 with liverpool. If you have a solo guy up front, he obviously would play well on the wings, he does a decent job of getting the ball into the box...Either way, I dont think he was an expensive pick up, so there really isnt much to lose. But that all depends on your negotiation.

If you have a solo guy up front, he obviously would play well on the wings, he does a decent job of getting the ball into the box...Either way, I dont think he was an expensive pick up, so there really isnt much to lose. But that all depends on your negotiation.
True, as he is down the pecking order at Real I could potentially wrangle him away at a reasonable price so I will definitely throw him on the shortlist and at least have a pop at him!
