Congrats on the Fa cup! I do think tho that the penalty called for you was a tad harsh. If I could see it again, maybe Id change my mind but azpilicueta looked like he was trying to find his man and turned and your man was in the air and collided with him. But, your FA rant with the scheduling is now null and void!

Agreed on the penalty, it was more of a coming together and nothing malicious like an elbow or anything, but I'll take those friendly calls, especially against Chelsea! But thanks for the congrats and for watching!

Yea that penalty you got shouldn't have been one. And the one in the box later in the game, I may question. If I had a different angle during the replay I would be able to tell. But with the angle I was given it didn't look like one should have been given it was right after the edge of the box.

You're right about that one, it was an absolute golazo and he is super dangerous from free kicks. Honestly feels like he has 90+ for all of the free kick ratings, he is that dangerous. I'm hoping we can just stay the course, as I expect a regression at some point but if we can just stay in that top 4 then I will be ecstatic.

I know sometimes when a player has 70 overall on fk traits or mediocre stats, it almost feels better because you get the right power, not over doing the curve and easier to feel. Maybe its just mental but I use a ronaldo and you almost expect it to go in and maybe think hitting it subpar should still lead to a gol. Only regression can be by the manager...Dont let us fans start calling your name out the door. It CAN happen.

You can pull a brendan rodgers type move, use 3 solid CB's and have wing backs/mids cover the outside of the pitch. I feel thats more capable to do in fifa using 5 backs and having the wingbacks push up than having a 3 man back line and hoping your L/r mids come back. I always feel its better to have a solid defense than a potent offense. Esp when your not a "giant" club where fire power is at whim, Id rather not concede than to have to get into a slug fest. My .02 cents

That's pretty much the direction I was thinking that we would go. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jarvis on the right and left wings, respectively, have solid work rates and more than enough pace that I think they can do a solid manning the flanks and playing as basically advanced wing backs. Agreed on the fire power, especially because the opposition that we are coming up against post PSV isn't the toughest, so hopefully we can get the job done despite the circumstances.

If anyone is an Arsenal fan here they might appreciate this.

As always I set out to do a career with very little signings and just developing the players I have + finding youth players who resemble as close to as possible the interesting ones Arsenal already has but which are not in the game.

In March of 2020 my team is this:

                          GK Szczesny 87
                          RB Bellerín 79
                          CB Chambers 82
                          CB Gabriel 82
                          LB Gibbs 84
                          DM Schneiderlin 83
                          CM Ramsey 89
                          CAM Özil 90
                          LW Oxlade-Chamberlain 88
                          RW Gnabry 84
                          ST Sanogo 81 (Walcott 84)

                          On the bench I've got:
                          Ospina 84
Aden Sullivan 78 (Chris Willock clone...6'0 so maybe an inch or so taller than Willock will ever be, but otherwise looks like just him. He's 20 like Willock will more or less be in 2020 and he's 'An Exciting Prospect', think he had potential of 89 when I promoted him)
Wilshere 87 (he plays so many games that he's basically a starter)
                          Munir El Haddadi 78
                          Zelalem 81
                          Walcott 84
Armand Coulibaly 73 (Stephy Mavididi clone...only problem is he's from Ivory Coast not England--hard to find black players scouting in England, I've discarded so many promising prospects because they turned out to be white boys haha--but otherwise looks and plays just like him. Just turned 21)
                          Jonathan Tah 82
                          Welbeck 79
                          Debuchy 76
                          Koscielny 75

and...Alexis who's still a 91. But I've basically froze him out this season so to give time to other players, as at 31 there's no way I see him still being a top top player given how much he works and runs. I'll try to sell him/loan him at the end of the season but don't want him playing for a rival...if he were to stay with Arsenal until 2021 I imagine he'd go back and play in Argentina or Chile.

Then I've got some interesting youth products like

Jake Grimes 75 (21, Dan Crowley clone, potential around 85)
Connor Pollard 80 (massive prospect, but he doesn't really correspond to any Arsenal youth...when I first signed him I was hoping he'd have a Chris Willock skin tone because otherwise he corresponds nicely. Now I'm thinking perhaps Callum Slattery as he looks a bit like him and Arsenal have been linked with him?)
Michael Prus 63 (Kristian Bielik clone, but obviously much less farther along than Bielik will likely be in 2020...and a year younger than he will be)
Rafaell Lopez 63 (Emilio Martínez clone but sadly much further behind as GKs seem to develop late)
Kyle Symington 67 (Has the potential to be special, and looks like Reiss Nelson the new wonderkid for Arsenal. Only problem is he's 2 years younger than Reiss will be at that age and he's more of a b2b/CM profile it looks like than a tricky winger like Reiss, but as he looks like he's going to be a monster maybe I can develop him into that? Does playing players in a certain position change their development at all?)

Pretty happy with how it's turned out, I'd've liked to have developed someone to fill the Isaac Hayden or Stefan O'Connor role of young up-and-coming CB but wanting to have clones for Willock, Mavididi, Nelson, and Crowley I was always scouting 'technically gifted' or 'attacker' with my English scout, and using the Global Scouting Network I haven't found anyone that looks/profiles like them.

My problem now is going into next season I really need a LB as Gibbs is getting up there already and Debuchy is declining...I'm thinking Benjamin Mendy? Any other suggestions? Also thinking about swapping Jonathan Tah for an English CB like maybe John Stones or something, though I really wish I could've developed one of my own to be Calum Chambers' partner long-term.

In this episode, we try to take advantage of a bit easier stretch of schedule as we face bottom feeders Fulham and mid table Aston Villa in Premier League clashes.

Finished my first season as Roma. Basically played with their established roster, except for luring in Ashley Cole in the summer transfer window, and somehow getting Yanga-MBiwa on loan (I don't remember when that happened). Radja Nainngolan was my hands-down MVP, not prolific in the scoring column but owning the entire midfield sideline to sideline.

Despite a deep downturn from March on, I held onto 5th place so I qualify for the Europa league (which the board now wants me to win). I also made it to the Coppa Italia final, which I won 1-0 on a 90' miracle goal off a defenders face, that the gk was otherwise well positioned to save.

This offseason, I need to clear out some bottom of the roster deadwood, evaluate the kids and decide who to keep but loan out this year, and solve my goalkeeping logjam, which will probably require bringing in a top talent if I hope to make this year anything other than a transition year.

This post isn't as well done as a lot in this thread, but this is the first season in any sports game I've actually completed and I'm pretty pleased with the whole experience and I wanted to document it.

West Ham United - Episode #60: The Emirates is Ours!

In this episode, we face London rivals Arsenal at their home ground in a huge derby in the FA Cup Quarterfinal Replay before heading to Merseyside to take on Liverpool in a Premier League matchup. Can we make it back to Wembley for the second time this season?
