Re: Transfer Network | Tips
Sigh, LOL.
I'm at work so can't check--but does scouting players on the GTN give you their workrates?
I am finding WR to be extremely critical in how I play--as I struggled in first CM game w/ Chelsea against Burnley (lol, drew 1-1).Arsenal | New York YankeesComment

Re: Transfer Network | Tips
Saw someone posted this house rule in the Manager Mode thread
"1.I am not going to use the GTN and instead use sofifa.com in the 1st couple of seasons. I don't know enough about all the small leagues and sifting through all the GTN emails gives me a headache and really takes a lot of time. To offset the use of sofifa I can only sign players from the smaller leagues (ie no one from la liga, epl, series a ect ect)."
I like this, and think I will apply same/similar methods. I am still going to use the GTN, just not completely rely on it.Arsenal | New York YankeesComment

Re: Transfer Network | Tips
Sofifa is considered cheating in the literal sense, as it shows ratings and the highest rating a guy can develop to, with no consequence attached. But I say who cares? It's your game, scout however the hell you want.
I use both the GTN & Sofifa.Comment

Re: Transfer Network | Tips
This is what I was thinking too, lol.
I also am thinking of 'trading' Diego Costa and Aguero in my Chelsea CM because I absolutely can not stand Costa and really like Aguero. I battle with the 'realism' issue--but again, it's my CM--who caresArsenal | New York YankeesComment

Re: Transfer Network | Tips
Just an FYI you are going to have to give up more than Costa to get Aguero back in return. I have a manager mode where I am playing as Arsenal and I just wanted to get Kurt Zouma on loan for the full season. And Chelsea said no because they are rivals. I was pissed yet impressed at the same time because I needed a CB but I was impressed that type of stuff was in the coding.Comment

Re: Transfer Network | Tips
I usually for the first season and the next summer transfer window go online and see what are the transfer rumors are for all positions, research them maybe throw in a few guys I like and know are gonna help me. But after that its a free for all, but since im not familiar with all the players since there are 1000s compared to 300 in nba I do go to Sofifa just to see what's out there.
And I dont see it as cheating, I mean the gtn and scouting in this game is horrendous compared to a real life scout. I see this as using your sources.Last edited by NightRaven3; 11-25-2014, 12:50 AM.Comment

Re: Transfer Network | Tips
I don't know if I agree that it is cheating. I can relate to NFL scouting far better for my example--but when scouting prospects for the NFL, it is fair to estimate one's potential.
We don't KNOW that Andrew Luck will ultimately be better than Johnny Manziel--but we could argue that their expected potential would be significantly different. I think that using sofifa just helps in that regard as well--whereas we have no other way of knowing one's potential in the game.

Re: Transfer Network | Tips
BTW, re: Johnny Football--I am oh so glad to see him falling flat on his face--as I expected. Way to go Browns--2 first round picks and you waste yet another one on a QB that will never pan out.
Par for the course.Arsenal | New York YankeesComment
