    Gameplay Assistance Settings

Am curious as to what Gameplay Assistance Settings the community is using. Do most folks keep all settings on default?

Tweak the sliders a bit and all manual. 10-15 minutes (mostly 10) and slow.

All manual. Only way to play.

I was hesitant to go all manual for a long time, but once I did it there was no going back. I'm super frustrated with any ai assistance now, it just feels unnatural and wrong.

I used to be all about full-manual, but then you reach the point where you can't find the right CPU difficulty level. Pretty sure no one plays full manual vs world class/superstar CPU and enjoys it. Unless you're messing with sliders, and I've no interest in going back down that bottomless pit to slider hell.

I typically go with semi-assisted on shooting, passing and crosses, and assisted on everything else.

Disagree. I play full manual World Class last year and Legendary most years before.

With no slider adjustments? Well, I'll tip my hat and say that you have way more skills and patience than I do.

Not slider adjustments to create any sort of advantage. Just slider adjustments to make both sides slower, or less accurate with passing.

Probably not more skilled, but I've been playing the series for quite a few years now and bashed my head against a wall like a madman insisting I play play on the higher difficulties+all manual.

It all kind of clicked in FIFA 12 for me. Once you "get" FIFA you can be effective on any level without manual being much of a factor. Timing, cpu patterns, and being careful not to force the ball too much and it's fine.

                    Yup, full manual as well.

To me you aren't playing the game if you use assisted settings, the game is playing for you. Especially the assisted shooting, that's just pressing the O/B button and hoping it goes in, no aiming, no power and such required, just press the shoot button once you have enough space.

I wouldn´t say I´m bad at Fifa, but I´m no expert as well. It all comes down to preference and the kind of challenge we want. I play in a mix of semi, with assisted through ball and manual long pass. This way, I risk more passes (its a mind thing), and can still mess them up. Also miss shots, so I feel it still requires a bit of concentration, and at the same time I enjoy the random factor that this offers. My passing stats are around the 70%-80%.

I do realize though that playing manual feels diferent and though it might feel better sometimes, its too much challenge for me, and I´m simply not into that, I just have more fun out of it the way I play. So, like I said, its all personal experience and preference. Best thing to do, try it yourself, try to get the hang of it and then decide wich one works best for you.

                        Re: Gameplay Assistance Settings

I would say with this game just go full manual but if you need assistance bump what you need to semi but the game seems more enjoyable on full manual I think...

but for me.. just with my play testing of last night playing full manual is easier than before in FIFA.. or maybe playing No support on PES has made it easier for me... I'm not really sure to be honest.

the passing is not that tough on full manual in FIFA as I remember in the past.. the shooting is the toughest but it doesn't seem long to get it down. I seem to have found it towards the end of my play time last night and that's without playing a lot of FIFA in my past

assisted shooting in FIFA is worst than basic shooting in PES. you will notice you will hit the post and cross bar a lot playing like that. You don't have much control over your Left stick... I only played one game with the default controls in FIFA and I hit the post or crossbars 6 times in that initial match... with everything on default after downloading the demo.. it was just silly

I would try full manual but on anything you think need assistance in switch to semi... to help you.

or just stick it out with full manual playing this demo over and over on Professional or World Class and by the time game releases you will be expert I would think. full manual doesn't seem that difficult to master as it was before in FIFA it seems like to me.

I've been playing full manual since 14. Before that I was always afraid to try it and always played with semi settings. But someone on here convinced me to try it, and I never looked back. I also have been playing 15 using the community sliders for the last two months on word class. And in the last couple weeks bumped up to legendary. But I've also stopped playing 15 since the 16 demo came out.

However, I some times like to goof off any kick the assistance back in and play on default sliders on world class or pro in a kick off game. Because some times its fun to just beat the cpu 8-0. Sometimes you need you that.

Yeah, sliders are necessary to tame the overall gameplay to make full-manual a fair fight. I just don't have the time or patience to test and tweak them.

No, I still believe all manual is a fair fight without slider adjustments. I make adjustments for the sake of what I would call aesthetic and authenticity purposes. But default, even sliders, WC or Legendary, I really don't feel at a disadvantage on all manual. Maybe I should post up a video of the demo or a game from 15 to show what I mean.
