    Re: Gameplay Assistance Settings

As someone who isn't "good on the sticks", I have gone back and forth between manual/assisted over the years. Not ashamed to say, but I think I prefer assisted for passing as I just play better. Not against having manual in the game as an option, as options are always good, just wish ratings came into play more when using assisted.

Being able to make good passes should depend on ratings, even when using assisted. I think they do come into play sometimes, but perhaps not enough, just like in other aspects of the game.

I guess it's kind of like the camera options. Broadcast is really cool, and I have tried it, but it is hard to play well when using. I just like being able to see the whole pitch, as I have never been good with the radar (probably tied to being "poor on the sticks", ha). Perhaps assisted passing would help me be better using Broadcast, something to work on. Much props to those who can play all manual on Broadcast.

I do love manual shooting though, and definitely use that. For crossing, I use semi, as it can be a struggle for teams on a weekly basis, so couple with my subpar skills, seems to work ok.

there is nothing to be ashamed about to play with assisted controls in this game.. especially if you plan on playing online. If you play online and want to be competitive it's highly recommend to anyone to use Assisted controls. the best FIFA players in the world ALL use assisted controls. The only thing they will use semi or manual on is the lob pass set to manual and cross set to semi.. that's it

it just depends how you want to play the game... and the sliders.. camera angle, and difficulty all play in a part.

for example when people create slider sets.. all things are involved.. including controller settings.. button config... camera angle even.

sometimes people expect a slider set someone else designed to play exactly how it does for them but trust me... controller setup and camera angle actually make a difference of how looks and feel and plays to you.

I was playing with assisted controls last night and I was having fun with it still and even with game speed set at default for the women's game and I surprised I couldn't even beat Germany like that but yet when I used full manual and played on World Class slow game speed was able to win sometimes.. lol
