Re: FIFA 16 Trial Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Play For 10 Hours
it did happen in FIFA 15, especially noticeable in pro clubs. also if the shot assistance was turned on past semi.
true of finesse and outside foot shots, tended to happen more on shots right inside the 18. outside the 18 would require you to manually request a finesse or outside the foot, same for point blank shots.
if you play full manual shooting, it should make remove the "auto" use and require you to manually trigger the shot type. however in FIFA16 I did notice the the shot bar by default fills a bit slower than last year and the FIFA15 "money" low shot does look like a finesse shot but it is just a soft low aimed shot. if that makes sense.(it does in my head...)Comment

Oh yes, this game has the potential to be very good. It plays really well out of the box on WC with a default slider set. Can't wait to see what sliders will do!
Only complaint: 15k to do the FUT Draft seems a bit steep, unless they scatter Draft Tokens in packs, which if they did, would be genius.Comment

Re: FIFA 16 Trial Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Play For 10 Hours
So full confession, in the past I would never play with full manual controls. I never felt I was good enough to play it and enjoy the game that way. I played ALOT of FIFA 15 but it was all on Assisted or Semi controls.
Finally got home to play the trial and went ahead and put everything on Manual controls other than shooting which I put in Semi until I get the hang of aiming towards the net. My gawd this game opened up. I already loved the demo and couldn't wait to try it but something told me to give full manual a try. This game went from being a 10/10 for me to even better if that's possible.
I can see why alot of you guys on here are all about the full manual controls. A totally new game and I've set up some absolutely gorgeous plays and it was one of the most rewarding gameplay experiences ever, in any game. I feel I'm only limited by my imagination.
Edit: forgot to mention, absolutely nothing was touched as far as pace or speed or anything in the full game. Some have already said that, thought I'd throw my two cents in.

I played three games last night in career. And from that experience, no they didn't play the same. Real Madrid played fast on the wings and lots side switches. Roma was playing lots of long balls and crossing. Seattle Sounders were playing slow possession build up and only attacking down the middle.

I also forgot to mention in my earlier post. Plying the preseason and being able to make 7 subs is fantastic. Actually being able to test guys out and give them some time to see how they play early like that is great.

So far having played/simmed through about 2 months of a season in career mode, my biggest concern is player training. It's a refreshing addition being able to control what ratings your players see the most growth in, but I'm scared it will make players overpowered quickly. I've already got Danny Ings from a 76 to a 78, and a little over halfway to 79. It's insanely easy to progress players if you play all the training drills yourself each week. I've played the drills in maybe 3 of 8 weeks and players are still growing a bit quicker than I'd like. That being said, this is the only career mode I've started, so the results may very well be different in a separate career mode or even a couple months into my current one.
Overall I'm enjoying my 10 hour trial that will be ending by the end of the night, I'm sure.Comment

3/5 star scout is 1,908,000 and a 4/5 star scout is 2,340,000...since I'm using Liverpool, this is in sterling, not USD.

I saw the opposite on the training. I trained the same 5 guys, but all in different drills each week for a month. As in they each played a different drill each week, never the same one twice in a row. No one improved a full stat increase in that month. One player got real close, but his stat started half way filled in already. I think maybe it depends on the drill, what it increases and then the player. I didn't do any strikers. I only did mid and defensive players. And I was admittedly trying to round them out, not trying to focus on one stat to increase it. So maybe it can be abused if you just take a striker and pound his shooting over and over.
Better, the defenders stay in a better shape it seems like and the CPU make themselves more available as a viable passing option. There's not as many freakouts by the AI from what I've seen through about 3 matches. Though, there have definitely been a few moments where I have no idea what the CPU is doing, but I expected that on some level.Last edited by grizzlies317; 09-17-2015, 07:22 PM.Comment

Ya that is what I like about it. We have a very large range of control. And you could tune someone to fit into another position. They might not grow in OVR, but that doesn't matter. They gave us good control with it and its up to each person on how they want to use or abuse it.
