I play Legendary with no sliders and yes, when the CPU wants to score, FC Cologne will play like Barca. And when the CPU wants to press it is very hard to keep possession, even with Bayern.

But since Legendary isn't any kind of simulation, I don't try to play like the real Bayern and have also changed my playing style. When I am in my own end I got ultra defense in my custom tactics. I don't switch back to attacking until I have the ball. I keep repeating this all game long. It works.

Also, while I do use Tactical Defending, it definitely sucks vs the CPU. It is really meant for head to head games. Legacy D gives you a much more even game, but you lose things like the push/pull which ads realism.

... and I say... Seriously, don't play on WC or legendary... unless you are a master world class FIFA player. If you aren't (I am not), you will get frustrated . On those difficult levels CPU just plays near perfect robotic boring gameplay.

The only solution I found out to get fun and challenging games was to go PRO and use sliders to improve CPU. CPU on PRO fells much more human-like and diverse and scores will be more realistic.

That could work, but I´m not interested in messing sliders this year. To be honest, it´s a 2 way thing, you fix some things, but mess others. Anyway, on Pro it might get a good balance because only thing I think Pro needs is a boost in CPU acceleration and sprint, wich are the aspects that are easier to exploit in default sliders.

anyone else who plays using BPL Teams experiencing the generic EA Intro music before it switches to the BPL Theme Music during the prematch walk out? I have the digital PS4 copy if that helps?

I'm sticking with PRO mode too.
However, the biggest issue of PRO mode is the structural weakness of the defense.
Very hard to fix it messing with sliders.... still trying an effective mix, especially in L-H-W, without success.

Well I was playing WC, semi assisted controls, but lately I´ve been uisng assisted pass and I think I can´t go back. I´m not bad at semi for passing, but I noticed that I can´t defend as good as in assisted. There´s some help on assisted, when you pass to a teammate ad he automatically moves to receive the pass, and I think that happens while defending too, I dunno, I feel my players are more responsive to loose balls etc... I was getting really tired of the ease that CPU has passing around while I can´t do it, so in order to make the game fair for me (realistic or not) I´m playing assisted passing. Funny thing, on decisive matches I still struggle, but don´t feel cheated as in semi, where sometimes my players can´t get a single pass completed when the CPU needs a goal.

I´m in my final stage of the league, and also managed to get to the semi finals of Europa League. No cheap games here, just had some luck with the oponents that I had to play with, rather weak teams. But today I played against FC Porto in the quarters, and on 1st match, they had a red card right at the begining. I won 1-2 in a very, very tight match. Second hand and I lost 0-1, so I went through to the semi´s where now I play Marseille!

On the League side, I´m really having trouble keeping my current 5th place, with 4 matches to go. What I mean is, the game will make it dificult on assisted, semi, manual whatever. Matches are easier to control, posession etc, but I still struggle to score or defend so this is definately my dficulty level. I play with semi shooting and crossing, manual lob pass and assisted passing and through ball.

Started a Portland Timbers manager mode. On professional default I enjoy the gameplay but its definitely too easy for me, never feel like I will lose, and I dont. Scoring is way too easy if you make safe passing decisions. Games are close because Im not playing competitly because I know I can score when I want and make boneheaded passes or give wide open lanes on defense being too aggressive. They never feel compettive though and I get so many more shots than the cpu.

Cruise through the preseason tourney. 3-2, 3-2, 4-2, 2-0, 2-1. Once the season starts: 3-1, 3-0, 3-1. Scoring 3 goals a game is a crazy rate so I decided to up it to Legendary because my friends in party were playing Halo on Legendary.

Next game I win 4-2 and haf the most fun with the game since the intial honeymoon. The CPU was smart but far from perfect. They actual made more passes that got intercepted it seemed like because they tried riskier passes. They scored in the very beginning of the game with a shot from dead center outside of the box because I dodnt close out with a defender. I thought it might be a long day but the sense of competition made me play more selective with my passes and smarter on defense. I end up scoring 4 times but the game was completely different. The last two goals came late because the CPU was in all out attack and i went ultra defensive counter attack and caught them on the counter. The next game was a home game and I drew 0-0. i am very impressed by tje way it plays on legendary default. I gree with OP that its hard but fair. You have to earn your goals and thats what I love. Regardless of your slill level thats what makes the game rewarding

I do what someone else said in this thread and constantly change my tactics depending on the score and who has possession. I will never leave it on attack if I dont have possession. My key is to have numbers behind the ball and on attack your team obiously is less inclined to be on your goal side of the ball.

I dont know much about soccer at all. Just statyed watching a couple years ago. I just I play like they play on TV. They dont just waste their energy chasing the ball around. They CONSTANTLY swap positions as someone steps forward someone else has to fall back. Watching the Man City game now and the thing that stands out is letting the dribbler come to you. You better be right if youre going to attack him and get the ball or else the attack is on. They always are more concerned with their positioning than making a tackle. The offense is the one the turs the ball over with a bad first touch or pass or decision that the defense takes advantage of.

Oh and to end my rant, do the drills! Use the trainer! The game is alottttt about the user input timing and distance and if you dont get that down the game will always feel unfair. Even passing feels like bs sometimes til I turn the trainer back on and when im aware of aiming where i want before I pass the passing mechanics seem perfect. Learn the tackling range and passing pressure. With the trainer on never let the cpu in your circle and the cant tackle the ball. Never try to pass through a defender, over or around or backwards.

I love the game on legendary tho!

Yes, my friends, you guys are right. Legendary its way better and I just tested it.

I've been playing on WC since Fifa10. Never actually gave legendary a serious run.

But today, after applying the slider changes that you guys mentioned here, it's almost like a new game.

I played 4 games:

Liverpool 1 x 1 Norwich
Man Utd 1 x 1 Liverpool
Aston Villa 0 x 2 Liverpool
Liverpool 3 x 1 Everton

All great matches and fair results.
