I'd say it's a safe bet we'll see gameplay in the near future. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there's usually unofficial gameplay videos that start popping up by early/mid July. Early demo type gameplay footage.

Edit: just looked at some threads from last summer and it looks like there were a couple of gameplay videos as early as mid June. So I'd say we'll see something sooner rather than later.

Early gameplay videos won't tell us a lot, because the people who get early access always play the arcade-y style, with constant one-touch forward passes and sprinting lol. It's an annual tradition.

Yes, exactly. Waiting for a User v CPU one, but even then that's not usually enough, unless something is really glaring. In that very brief video, I do not see anything alarming. I notice that the outside backs are not as tucked in like FIFA 16 1.05 was, so that's a good sign. They were actually staying goal-side quite well. There is a bit of space between the midfield, but that of course can come down to settings, etc. Looking forward to more videos!

Honestly I wouldn't have noticed that this is '17 and not '16.

Of course the resolution is pretty bad and I'm not judging but I thought with the engine-change they had to re-do all of the animations and we'd see a completely new animation style in FIFA 17.

I'm not complaining, since I like the animations in 16, but I'm really surprised.

Still looks like a lot of legacy code inputted, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I do see the defensive line still is a separate entity from the other spaces on the pitch, but not as bad as it was in FIFA 15.

I'm assuming this was on normal speed as well, and of course with player vs player is always going to be fast. Love the penalty kick no-meter though...not sure about the camera angle on the free kicks though.

Anyone at E3, can you confirm if sliders are in the game? Thanks.

I'm loving the ball physics, and the more physical nature of the players. I can tell the difference in the graphics already. If this is XB1, I really can't wait to see the PC graphics! Great share, Matt!

I liked how loose the ball seemed and how sloppy some of the passes were, even on what was probably assisted settings.

Really liked the trajectory of the cross the PSG player sent in.

Also liked the reaction of Cavani when he was fouled early in the video. It looked very Cavani'esque

I do wish for all non-bookable offenses the ability to take it quickly would be an option.

Always hard to judge positioning and pace in user v user games because it's usually all-out attack from the whistle.

There was one pass where it appeared to come off the outside of the players foot, and had spin on it. It drifted away from the player waiting to receive it. I hope to see the ball be a lot more free. It's like the old engine they had to make a random mistake show up to have the ball not be a perfect A-B deal. I think that's why I hate rain games so much in 16. It was just a "it's raining, so your guys will fumble every pass, and look like total scrubs on the ball, even though they are 89 rated players." Dry games were the other way, everything is perfect, too perfect. To see a loose pass on a dry pitch gives me hope they have worked on this.

Man, really does not look much different, in spite of the Frostbite engine. Looks like this is going to be a year all about little tweaks (penalties, etc) and Alex Hunter (which will probably only be good for one or two playthroughs).

Disappointed about Goal Kicks. I don't believe it will be the same boring animation and same disperse and passive positioning of the field players.
