Hi all,


I haven't played FIFA in a number of years and the franchise mode/career mode which ever it is called now days is what I played exclusively. Anyway I have a pretty silly question.


If I select say, Portsmouth (I'm an Aussie and back in the day Kewell and Viduka were playing there) or any other team from a low division, is it possible to turn them into a team that can compete in the PL? Revenue wise and the like.

The answer is yes. The ease and time it takes to get there depend on your playing skill and difficulty level settings, as well as the use of financial buyouts and other "tricks" to make it easier.

With Rangers back in the SPL, I think I'll use Hearts and try to build a legitimate Edinburgh challenger to the Glasgow domination.

What team has a great home atmosphere but isn't a quick fix to build into a Champions League winner? I was thinking Ajax but I am open to suggestions.

I'm going to pick the lowest rated team in FL2 after the first roster update and make my manager be from England as opposed to the US so I can use the manager item and become England's manager. Being a US manager for the first 3 seasons is a bit boring cause it's mostly friendlies that I can sim. Also with recent news and the fact lower tier teams should be mostly England players will make it realistic.

Has anyone ever used River Plate or Boca Juniors? I like the idea of starting there but I think I'd miss Euro/Champions Cup. Do they have anything like that for American teams in the game?

There is a "Copa LatAm" which is supposed to the Copa Libertadores, which is South America's equivalent of the Champions League (there's also an UEL-like league in South America but as of '16 that one wasn't in the game). I would expect the Copa LatAm to continue to be in the game but can't confirm though.

I'm playing as Sheffield Wednesday on legendary level. It's hard. I suspect I
L be sacked at the end of the season.

I just started a Youth Squad Legends career with Leyton Orient in English League 2. I typically sim the first two seasons so that I don't need to use any real life players but my only objective is domestic success and winning the league title. There's no way my regenerated free agent players and youth academy guys at 50 overall can do that. I plan to do and backup save and then sim through to see how long it takes for me to get fired.

for a true challenge pick Morecambe since they will also have a very low budget.

I go with lowest overall and if there is a tie lowest budget. So even if I use a cheat like the financial takeover it's still a challenge since I always go after low overall but high potential in RTG

I hope our forum continues to be as active as the Nba and Madden forums. But I love this discussion and topic. And I haven't started my manager mode just because I haven't found a team that has grab me yet. I'm all about restoring glory and just need a good storyline so I can start and finish a manager mode. I'm looking for a team that was historic but fallen on tough times. I as wanted to end my career in the bpl with the team I support Arsenal. I'm not sure were I want to start I'm learn towards Italy Seris A/B or I'm thinking Spain so I can give Barcelona and Madrid a run for the money. Do you have any suggestions on teams and any suggestions on manger mode to make it fun realistic and interesting like house rules.

Teams I'm considering

A.C. Milan- Everyone knows the history can try to bring them back to complete with Juve, Inter, Napoli. Bring in a young talent to build around
Throw out some suggestions for me fella's I appreciate it
