Regarding the issue I presented: I've played Roma with the default tactic and it remains, so has nothing to do with custom tactics. That's a code issue like it was bursting.

Anyone was able to get CPU slowing build-up. I just see "pass forward" and "running/dribbling forward" with few backwards/sideways passing. Custom tactics are doing almost nothing in this regard.

If tactics don't help than sliders are the only hope, and I want to keep this thread clear of slider discussions, because we all know that's a deep black hole to go into.

I agree. It's a shame (EA) that all your great and hard work with these tactics have so little impact (in my opinion) on the gameplay.

Although, keep going. I suggest after BPL is done to start with the Champions League teams.

Same. The minimum for these is to change how teams play tactically, not change how well core gameplay works.

I'm still seeing a difference in how teams play, so I'm happy!

I am finding the tactics make a significant impact on the gameplay. I find that by altering the tactics and formations that the teams play more like their real life counter parts.

I do agree that something is wrong with Roma. Once Salah gets the ball he just runs straight forward no matter what. I am going to put a different player in that position and see if it continues. One other thing is that the CF always runs back to the middle/center of the pitch and rarely stays forward in position for crosses. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

All and all I am really enjoying FIFA much more with the tactics and formations. Once I get my sliders perfect to my liking this game will be fantastic.

One other thing is that the CF always runs back to the middle/center of the pitch and rarely stays forward in position for crosses. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Changing the positioning from "free form" to "organized" is definitely going to solve it. I'll actually change it in the tactics. Thanks for pointing it out.

Changes in formations and players instructions add some variety to games. But tactics, I wish they were more noticeable on the gameplay. But that's just me...

Got another game in with these, vs Leicester who have very extreme settings. Didn't kill the game at all.

One thing to maybe look at is the Defensive Aggression. I'm beginning to feel this is the key setting for foul count. Watford (higher aggression) fouled me plenty, Leicester fouled me 0 times and only had 11 tackles, which is shockingly low for FIFA.

My question is, do you feel Aggression is pivotal to how the team plays? With a low pressure setting I think that will still keep teams in that counter behind the ball type defense, but I think aggression needs to be 50+ for most teams...

This is a very good observation. I am going to test this tonight. Teams with Low aggression/pressure vs teams with higher aggression/pressure. Want to see if it does make a significant impact on fouls within the game.

@Krebstar Taking a look at West Ham, imo they need higher aggression, crossing, and shooting, as they play aggressively, they take a lot of shots, and the attempt crosses often.

The usual good observation from a slider tester I can't speak for Krebstar, but unless it has, as ricardodc would call it, "undesired secondary effects", the aggression should go up.

Let me know what you find. To me the tackle numbers told the story. Leicester were a wall of defenders around the box, but they rarely put in the tackle. Boy were they tough to break down though, felt very similar to what you'll see on a Saturday/Sunday in the EPL.

Curious to see if that's pressure, aggression or a combo of both!

These are so sweet though, I'd love to have some sort of write up with basic guidelines for team style, I think someone else mentioned that. It'd be very helpful for the non league/UCL match ups in my season.
