They already said they wouldn't be fixing CM with this patch.

It looks like all the general gameplay issues are mostly good changes. Especially the GK things. Only one I'm really bothered by is the further nerfing of the secondary contain. I like the move towards manual controls but the AI teammates have been dumbed down just a bit to much. I need to know that they will at least be in the proper position for me to switch to them so I can be effective.

When is this patch dropping? I didn't see a date and there is no update available on my PS4.

Yeah I don’t understand this:

Reduced the effectiveness of Contain and Secondary Contain, by making the following changes:

Players that are being controlled by Contain or Secondary Contain will no longer sprint to catch up to the player they are trying to defend.

Players that are being controlled by Contain will now take longer to react to the ball carrier’s movements.

Secondary Contain already functioned in this manner.

The wording confuses me a little and tbh, they made secondary contain even worse for offline or better for FUT players to help further the gap.

No patch update, no roster update. On the fence about this game. May be looking to PES.

Players that are being controlled by Contain or Secondary Contain will no longer sprint to catch up to the player they are trying to defend.

Not running back in defense, you get benched IRL for this especially when you're not an attacking player.

A big part of modern soccer was killed by EA's FIFA 20: negative pressure R.I.P.

Thanks for posting that Chris.

Both look equally horrible. Sprinting to contain [emoji2363]. It should be a jog or hell, analog sprint.

Not sure if they will ever fix the defense. It's this way on purpose because competitive/Esports players complained because guys were having the CPU do all the defending for them before. As usual online players break the game just so they can "win," and the rest of us deal with the consequences.

Patch arrived on PS4 tonight.

AND there's a squad update available as well!

UCL and Euro League groups are also up to date now... friggin finally.
