I have definitely seen more fouls after the patch though.
Shielding is much more effective this year in drawing fouls. The CPU aggression is the notable change post-patch but referees still need to be adjusted to be giving obvious fouls IMO, we should definitely see more than we’re still seeing with the increased CPU aggression.

I’m still finding it hard to foul opponents whilst standing, which is a referee issue.

No one else finding default gameplay on NG crappie now? When game released game was fine for me and challenging in good way. Now it's like cpu even on WC on steroids. Making crazy shots , pressing and stealing ball all the time, blocking passes and shots all the time, no Matter the team.

Not played for a week or so, switched on today and continued my league 2 career with Wrexham.

Wtf have they done? I’m 3 points clear at the top on Legendary with the OF sliders. Just played 23rd placed Swindon Town and lost 1-4. They had 9 men from the 23rd minute and ended with 65% possession. Their keeper saved anything and everything I snuck by the laser sighted telescopic block and interception mechanism and only a goalmouth scramble eventually stumbled over the line by a running winger actually made it in. It’s insane. Not one of my players makes any attempt to defend, at all, unless I’m controlling them; once I switch the player switched from goes dead and the player switched 2 takes a few moments to come to life. Meanwhile Swindon Town are zinging it about, first time pass and move, incredible flicks and tricks and no look passes through the lines asunder. Honestly I think they’d win the CL based on this showing. Mental.

Yeah, the game is really open again. Can't say I have these issues when attacking but yeah, even on WC keeping clean sheets is a challenge. On WC I dominate possession every single game but the CPU is so lethal compared to how the rest of their play is. Sometimes I swear they have the CPU hitting timed finishing shots on the regular lol

WC is a bit too easy for me and I'm back to Legendary but my word you cannot afford to make a single mistake in defense.

How does World Class compare to Legendary? Currently sitting top of the Bundesliga 1st season with Bayer Leverkusen after 8 games on WC. Just beat Bayern Munich 3-1 at home. Struggled at home vs Dortmund though because they press like hell, got a 1-1 draw with a very lucky bounce off my defender's foot. This is with no signings as I disable the first window.

Well it's certainly easier. WC to me feels very well balanced in terms of error, though some CPU attacking is too OP (mainly shooting). But there's more human-like error in WC that you don't see higher up as much. And it's a much more chill experience, where on Legendary or Ultimate, it feels like one tiny mistake can lead to you conceding. It's too punishing IMO. And I just don't like the experience of defending.

Issue is that WC is way too easy for me in attacking play. It's actually quite fun because I've time to do be a bit more fancy than usual, but I'll dominate possession every game and rarely score fewer than 3. Legendary or Ultimate is the right challenge for me when it comes to attacking, but at least at default I've no idea how we're meant to keep clean sheets. I've seen people go undefeated on Ultimate while keeping a number of cleansheets, so I know it's possible, but my word the CPU is so lethal.

This is at default though. I haven't played with sliders since the most recent patch (I will soon), but my guess is it wouldn't take much to get Legendary to be playing more fair. I don't know about Ultimate. Might be the first time since Ultimate was released that I stick with Legendary.

Thanks. I might give it a go if I go on a long winning run then.

Forget default, tried Matt's os community WC , 8 min, shorter half setup. Amazing!!

Oh, no doubt, I'll use sliders for sure. I just like to settle on a difficulty level first, otherwise I start making adjustments for things that I just need to improve at. Like, I really needed to adjust how I defend this year and just in the last day I've felt comfortable again with Legendary and now I gotta figure out if Ultimate is viable for me this year.

Hey mate. So I've now moved up to Legendary on FUMA, is it just me or are the goalkeepers gods compared to World Class? Especially being on FUMA, I have to be on it shooting wise to score, I need to really aim accurately to beat the keeper. I don't mind this but I beat Ferencvaros last night with Leverkusen 2-1 and I had around 24 shots Their keeper saved over 10 shots minimum, must have been closer to 15 as most were on target.

I then beat Frankfurt 3-0 which I was really pleased about, great defensive performance from my players and yeah it's way more stressful than World Class lol but even more rewarding when you win. You have to really concentrate hard not to concede! Hopefully I can keep getting results, but World Class was becoming too easy as I was beating the likes of RB Leipzig 0-5 with the default Leverkusen squad which shouldn't be happening. I also beat Hertha Berlin 0-6 on WC.
