Settings Not Saving

Every time I start the game, my settings have all reset to Default. The game is acting like it is the first time I've started. I have to Accept the terms, pick a favorite team, etc. My Manager career is intact, but all settings, including sliders are reset to default.

I had this same problem with FIFA 23, and never got it resolved.

Any known fixes for this? Is everyone on PS5 having the same problem?

Only my settings reset, everything else stayed how I set it. The last time I played (which was last night) what I did was manually save my profile after redoing my settings. I am going to check today to see if they saved when I enter the game.

I restarted again and this time it was worse. All settings were reset AND the option to load my existing career was not there. Fortunately, I could load it from a recent save file.

Are you playing as a guest on your console? Rather than an actual profile? I have no issues so it can’t be the game.

It's a known thing going back to last year's game. No clue why.

I wish I could help, but I haven't seen that problem on my PS5.
Try one thing (maybe you've done it already): put the settings with the online ON, and then restart the game and do it with online OFF. After that, as I do it, you are not going to see that problem. But you have to do it both online ON and OFF. Tell me if it helped you please

Thanks for trying to help. I just did some testing. I turned on the PS5 and started the game after the update this morning. This time my sliders and camera settings were reset to default, but all other settings were intact.

I adjusted the camera and one of the slider settings, switched to a different game, then restarted FC24 OFFLINE. The settings were intact. Then I hit R3 to go ONLINE. Settings still intact.

I switched games, then restarted the game again, this time allowing it to start ONLINE. Settings still intact.

Is it possible starting the game one time OFFLINE fixed the problem? Do you always start the game OFFLINE every time?

Update: I just opened the game, did not connect to the EA Servers, and all my settings were reset to default. This is the same as last year for me.

But, am I the only one having this problem? If so, there must be something I'm not doing right.

Unless I want to download the latest squad update, yes I play always offline.

I don't know if this helps, but my settings always got reset last year when my controller would automatically turn off. No idea why.

I solved it by not having the controller automatically turn off.

You aren’t the only one. I had the issue every time I started the game last year. I just picked up this year’s version yesterday, and I’m having the same issue again.

So one thing I've found to work consistently (granted, I only play against the CPU in Kick Off) is when you get to the team management screen before starting the match, edit your settings there (assisted vs semi for example). They tend to stick then, versus adjusting them in the main menu.

I also shut down my PS when done. Never use rest mode, seems to work ok. Had a couple of occasions when my difficulty settings and user agreement needed doing again but my sliders had stuck.

I'm going to try the setting to prevent the controller from sleeping. That's one I haven't tried!

I rotate 3 controllers, and put them on a charger not connected to the PS5. I'll try setting them all that way.

Do you only use a single controller? How would you maintain a charge?
