I think there is a boost right after you score a goal but in real life clubs tend to concede after scoring.

Riz, Genoa is tough in FIFA. They have been a thorn in my side and I get tired of having to deal with Crespo. His body control/balance is tough to defend.

Cup action is much harder though.

They are tough. Crespo is ridiculous and when you add the "Cup boost" this team is dangerous.

No matter who I used out wide I could not get past their WB's Usually when a team has more physical WB I play Baptista out the because he has much better chance of getting by them than does Cerci/Guberti/Pizzaro/Taddei.

I also have a MAJOR problem handling Lazio. Maybe there is a Derby Boost", but they are very physical and tough to beat, but at least I don't feel like my games against them are as ridiculous as these Cup games.

The after goal momentum is definitely there and it's been there since FIFA 08 but, IMO it's overdone. We all know it's coming but, I hate having to adjust play style to a scripted piece of programming like that. The becomes a cheese fest at times because of it.

@Jistic....I honestly have no idea what the Loan/debt glitch is.

Wow. I dont know if this is a problem for alot of people, but my fifa LOVES to freeze in the middle, or even at the very end of a match. For my first 2 MM, one with Atalanta the other with Lazio, I would just try to replay the game with the same result, and if I couldnt win again, or score my goal with the same player, I would quit and replay it again. Of course, that took too long, and I ended up only playing 10-15 games in those MM, when I could have completed a whole season probably. So for my new MM, i just decided to play the game over, and whatever happened, happened. My current place of 14th in the table, should probably be closer to the 12th-10th range due to frozen games. As the season goes on, you get attached to your players, kinda strange, and when they play well, I am happy for them. I love Bullard, my 30yr old CM, and in my first match with Everton in the 4th round of the English Cup, we won on PK's after Bullard scored 2 goals, one of which was from outside the box, and it was truly one of my best and most realistic goals of all time. Of course, it freezes while loading, and I thought it got far enough so it would have saved it. Well, it didnt. I replayed that game, and lost 2-0. What cr*p.

This game has 2 many problems. I am playing Stoke for the 4th time now. Ive won every time or have been up. So up 2-0, and they score a goal off of a bad pass. Then, in classic Fifa 10 style, they hit a 30 yard FK, perfectly in the upper 90. Then in the 76th minute, I score off a nice lay off pass. 84th minute, my xbox starts clicking. I now know the end is coming, so I do a fake pass to change direction, and take a ridiculous shot from a good 35 yards out, on the side of the box. Guess what happens, Geovanni nails it. PERFECT. OFF THE LEFT BAR, SO MUCH CURL. I know it sounds fake, but im being 100% honest. Im gonna break this game in 2 soon.

So I finally went from a 1/2 to a full 1 star. I'm in my second season as Exeter City. I went total geek and copied all my players ratings in a spread sheet, then changed my formation and tactics to fit their talents. We moved to a 4-2-3-1 that's really boosted our scoring.

So we're currently mid season 4th in our table in League 2 and will be playing in the 3rd round of the F.A. Cup. Think we're gonna get crushed, but hey, at least it's a home game!

I need to do this thing with the spreadsheet. Geek? Definitely, but I need to do it.

Hopefully next year we'll able to read the entire team's ratings in landscape and then sort the individual columns to find out who the best defenders are, who the best crossers are, etc.

I just upset Barcelona 1-0 with my boys, HB Koge. I also tie with Udinese 0-0. I finished the preseason 2-1-1.

Sounds like a disc problem to me. Try locating your receipt and return it for another copy.

Had a great week. Signed our first Free agent. He's a 71 OVL Mid fielder (making him the best player on our team) and what's funny is I'm so used to playing with guys that are 45-60 overall that playing with him felt like driving a Mercedes.

I can't imagine what playing with a big time club would be like. I think I've had to concentrate on more fundamentals though by playing with a crappy team for over 100 games.

Anyway, his first game happened to coincide with our 3rd round matchup against QPR in the FA cup. They are a 3* club and were heavily favored. Well the gods smiled on us and we pulled the 2-1 upset. I swear they were so unlucky. They hit post after post and my keeper had his best game of the season. Now into the 4th round I'm seeing I'm running with teams like Man U and Arsenal.....so yeah I think this is the end of the road.

I started a 2nd MM today with Leeds United because I'd like to attempt to go ALL MANUAL.

First Friendly out of the blocks was against 2.5 Star Charlton Athletic. Lost 2-0 to a team that was clearly better and much more physical than Leeds. In the 2nd game I had a 0-0 draw against Cardiff City. We play Nurnburg next and then....Man City...which I'm sure will be a thrashing of epic proportions.

I added my 72 OVR Virtual Pro who is a LW/LM. He and Beckford could prove to be lethal down the road once I get the passing down. Right now I'm around 80% passing for the game. It will probably get worse when everyone eventually goes to bad form. We'll see how it goes as Leeds is one of the better teams in League 2.

I am still at Roma. 4th position in the table after 10 games. Lazio is next. Should be interesting.

I started a 2nd MM today with Leeds United because I'd like to attempt to go ALL MANUAL.

I decided last night to go all manual for season two (only had pass on semi anyways). However, I think I inadvertently borked my only save -- I know, I know -- because I edited my assigned formation in the main menu team management outside of MM. Now my starting RB & LB are placeholders -- or at least they were when I shut my system off in disgust last night -- and the game froze when I tried to enter the MM team management screen.

I was aware that editing an assigned formation could cause this problem with a squad file, but I did not know it could corrupt a MM save. I was leaning towards restarting on PS3 after the squad update anyways due to my freezing issues on 360, so I guess the decision is easy now. Too bad I have to send my only PS3 controller back due to a defective battery and won't be able to play PS3 for the better part of two weeks...

I checked my MM today and I was able to see my starting fullbacks in the team transfer list menu. So I started a game and to my surprise, they are there in the in-game team management screen. I was able to play the game.

However, if I try to access team management from the MM menu, the game locks up. I guess this at least gives me the option to continue this save if I choose to do so...

So I actually finished a full year in MM, using LA Galaxy and won the MLS Cup and was extremely disappointed that there was no celebration scene. Whats up with that? Kinda takes away some replay value. Do all that hard work for a whole year and then u get nothing. Pretty lame. Still love the game though.

The whole no trophy after the final has really bothered me for the past 3-4 years. They got it in the tournament games (had it in Euro 2008) but why not the regular Fifa series? I seen some pics of the upcoming World Cup game and they had it in too. But I bet it wont be in Fifa 11.

I played all 4 pre-season friendlies in my Leeds United MM with all Manual settings.

I eventually got better as I lost the first game, tied the second, lost the 3rd 1-0 to Nurnburg with only had 9 men, and in the finale I led Man City at the half 2-1, but was blitzed in the second half when they scored 4 goals.

I'm almost ready to go all Manual full time. The game is soooo much better. The biggest difference is that there are fewer "that's not where I wanted to pass it" moments that occur way too often with Semi/Assisted passing.

pretty much all video game celebrations suck though.
