West Brom 0 - 2 Grimsby Town
GRI - Amang 35', 71'
MOTM: Amang
We've moved one step closer to the title with another solid win away from home. Amang was the man of the hour for this game and he got it started with Banton playing him up the middle and he easily beat the keeper on the right side of the goal. He then smashed another shot off the post before ultimately getting his brace by getting around the right side of the defense and finishing low past the keeper.

Grimsby Town 3 - 0 Middlesbrough
GRI - Vieira 13', Morris 59', Sacko 80'
MOTM: Sacko
This was huge, now was only need a single point from one of our last 2 games to secure the title. Those two games though are against Arsenal who is trying to make up ground, and Chelsea who is never an easy team to get any points off of. On this night though it was Vieira getting us started early with a fantastic shot from distance into the top left corner. The next didn't come until the second half, but it was Sacko crossing it in for Morris to get his head on it and power it inside the near post. The last goal was a result of a beautiful ball over the top from Hourihane and Sacko was able to control it and go in on goal for the quick finish to the far post.

Arsenal FC 1 - 1 Grimsby Town
ARS - Musa 60'
GRI - Amang 21'
MOTM: Bellerin
That does it! The fairy tale ending is complete and I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't have been there for the whole thing. We are the Premier League champions! We got on the board first with a great bit of movement that saw the ball go from Hourihane to Vieira and then to Amang as he went through on goal and he boldly finished right between the keeper's legs for the lead. Arsenal came roaring back trying to grab an equalizer and after a series of saves by Thomas, they finally found one after a giveaway from our defender and Sanchez played it straight to Musa and he finished it quickly on the near post. After that it was just a frantic attempt for us to keep our point and in the end we were able to get it done.

Grimsby Town 2 - 2 Chelsea FC
GRI - Amang 26', Hourihane 45' (PEN)
CHE - Bale 18', Gacinovic 45'
MOTM: Gacinovic
This game didn't matter, but it was our chance to celebrate in front of our supporters. Chelsea struck first with Bale getting space in the box to finish the ball first time past the keeper on the left side of the goal. It didn't take long for us to equalize though with Amang getting on to the end of Sacko's ball and tapping it in from in front of goal. We then took the lead with Adjapong sliding recklessly through Banton in the box and it was Hourihane that converted from the spot. That lasted for not even a minute though and Gacinovic scored with a stunning scissor kick off the volley that went off the right post and in. As I mentioned though the result didn't matter and we were just simply counting down the minute until we got to lift the trophy.

Manager Comments
Despite our stunning success this season, we did come up short in several areas of our season objectives. Obviously all was forgiven by the board as they were ecstatic with the results. Our youth objective was left unachieved, even though Callum Kelly played more than 50% of the games this season after being promoted to the senior squad last year, he actually joined our academy 2 seasons ago and didn't qualify for the objective. Our brand exposure objective was achieved and we managed to earn the £5,100,000 needed in the last month of the season. We failed miserably when it came to the financial objective, as we always seem to do, and our player salaries increased by 48% on the season, but it was clearly worth it to bring in players with the quality of Sacko, Hourihane, and Vieira. Domestically we obviously shattered the league goals set out for us, but we did come up short in the FA Cup after we crashed out early before even getting to the final 32. And last but not least our continental success was achieved when we reached the group stage, even if we didn't make it as far this year as we did the previous.
Next season poses a whole new set of challenges for us. Rather than being looked at as relegation fodder, we will be the defending champs and that will put a target on our back. On top of that, while we've dabbled in European play the past 2 seasons, we will now be in the Champions League against the biggest clubs in the world. We will have to adjust to the difficulty while trying to maintain our play in the Premier League as well. We have risen Grimsby to unfathomable heights, and I have no plans on stopping now.
