Unfortunately, I've kind of lost interest in my Sunderland career having been away from it for so long. I booted it up today to see what my brother got up to while I was away, and he's in summer of season seven with a budget of £120 million having won trebles the two seasons prior. The kid left me a front three of Balotelli, Neymar and a glitched Tom Ince (88 OVR).

So I want to announce that I'm going to be doing a new career mode with Brighton & Hove Albion. Not only do their kits look sharp, but their stadium is mint. The Amex seats just over 30,000 but could probably be expanded to 40,000 seats without much hassle. In addition, Brighton isn't burdened with as much debt as some other English clubs. Last I checked, they have losses of about £15 million.

But what does that mean for my career mode? You all know I love realism and interesting angles, so here's the deal. Promotion to the EPL (and staying there) would significantly boost Brighton's attendance and matchday revenues. And what top-class footballer wouldn't want to live by the beach in a town with warm, sunny weather? I'm going to make sure that once the debt is paid off, the club evolves into one of England and Europe's finest footballing forces. How? You'll have to read to find out.

Ah, it's good to be back.
Hell yeah, you're back! I really missed you and your posts alot! And I can't wait for the series to start! I can already tell it'll be amazing.

And as for my Atletico career if someone is interested (probably not), I'm now in mid-January and I'm first in the league by 8 points. Barcelona is second and my love Real is third. I was first in my CL group, from which Zenit managed to continue as well. The worst thing was Turan wanting to leave and the board forcing the sale. He got sold for €19M, just €4M over his worth... and now I'm trying to get a replacement for him for max €33M. I've made bids on Reus, Draxler, Spurs' Eriksen, Thomas Müller, Willian and Schürrle. Who's the best and suggestions for someone else?

Cheers, buddy. Added you on PSN yesterday.

Always annoying when the board backstabs you like that. Bunch of nitwits. I like Reus best out of that list. Was Turan playing LM or LW for you? You might also want to have a look at Griezmann and El Shaarawy.

Good afternoon everybody, and welcome back to The Hawthorns for our opening day fixture against Manchester City.

It's been a very busy summer for everybody involved at the club. At the time of writing we've added Matteo Musacchio, Ben Davies, Sam Byram, Jordon Mutch, Ryo Miyaichi and Cedrick to the squad and I'd like to take the opportunity officially welcome them all to the club. We've done some very good work since reporting back and managed to avoid any injuries so I would consider it a very successful pre-season.

I'd also like to acknowledge and thank all those who have expressed their best wishes and luck for this season. As somebody well versed in the history of this football club I think we've been guilty of betraying our traditions in the last 18 months. Last season some of the games were notable for our caution and the sense of fear was pervasive. I'm of the belief that West Bromwich Albion,as tradition dictates, should be playing exhilarating, swashbuckling football, and that's exactly what we'll try and bring back this season.

I'd also like to mention the work being done in our academy. Despite losing three young players to larger clubs over the last two years, we still took four home grown players on our pre-season tour. The time and money invested in the academy is beginning to bear fruit and I expect a couple more of our graduates to be fairly regular features in the squad soon enough.

        West Brom 2 - 2 Manchester City
        Jovetic 18, Nasri 27, Berahino 51, Ryo 82

It looked like it could be a rout early on but we steadied the ship and slowly made inroads second half. Bradley Garmston started for the injured Ben Davies and used his devastating pace to get to the byline and cut back to Berahino for our first, while 17 year old debutant Gary Ritchie slipped a delicious through ball in for Ryo's late equaliser. As it happened we might have even won it at the death as Hart saved smartly from an Olsson header.

        West Brom 5-2 Spurs
        Dembele 15, Sessegnon 20, Paulinho 45, Brunt 49, Ryo 65, Berahino 68, 73

An absolutely ridiculous game. Once again we were slow starters and really struggled with Tottenham midfield's ability to run beyond the strikers. Second half was a master class in counter attacking football though. Berahino rightly won man of the match for his 2 goal and 1 assist performance but Ben Davies ran him close, he is an absolute machine and doesn't stop overlapping.

        Arsenal 1-2 West Brom
        Berahino 60, Ramsey 64, Mutch 87

Our style really does suit playing teams happy to come and attack us. Once again we created chaos on the counter, though there was more than a hint of luck about the late winner. Byram's cross was headed on to the post by Berahino, and the rebound bobbled in off Jordon Mutch who knew next to nothing about it!

        Obsevations and musings
A pretty sensational start all told! Although we do look liable to ship a few goals over the duration, I was hoping that the 2 in it 4-2-3-1 would compensate for gung-ho full backs but the jury is still out on that one.

I also suspect we're going to find it arduous on occasion against the weaker teams who will sit back more. We're built to counter attack really, I'm not sure we have players cute or creative enough to unlock a deep, determined defence or two banks of four.

I've narrowed down my list of LM's. Who do you think would be the best fit in this squad?

          Felipe Anderson

          Adem Ljajic

          Giacomo Bonaventura

          Julian Draxler

          Marco Reus

          Antoine Griezmann

          Jese Rodriguez

          Julian Draxler!!!
          Beast!!

You can call me obsessed but I highly recommend Julian Draxler... Good pace, 4 star skills, 5 star weak foot, good technical stats and seriously OP long shots with both feet... Highly recommended
Then (in order) would be Reus, Willian, Müller, Eriksen and Schürrle

Turan was playing LM in the 4-4-2 holding.

Also, thanks for the suggestions, guys! Now I'm trying to decide if I want Reus for €33m or Draxler for €16.5m. There's a huge difference in the price, but I feel like Reus would be better. He's faster, higher overall and better at basically everything except crossing. He's also a better attacker. But Draxler is a lot cheaper, and his important stats are like 4 worse than Reus'. Hmm... I'll probably get Reus. Thanks for the help!

                  PSV

                  August

We finished August and the Transfer window sitting 7th with 1 win, 2 draws and 0 loses.

                  Results

Roda JC 0-1 PSV - Eredivise
                  (Depay 30')

We started the match promising and capitalised when Arias swung in a high cross into Depay for the nice header. In the 60th minute Bruma gave away a penalty, Zoet who had been playing out of his skin saved the penalty resulting us getting the 3 points.

PSV 2-2 FC Twente - Eredivise
                  (Bakkali 39', Clasie 68')
                  (Castaignos 43', 70')

FC Twente started on fire, attacking and attacking. However, a brilliant counter gave Bakkali a one on one with the keeper and gave us the lead. The lead didn't last long when a long shot was parried by Zoet giving Castaignos the easy tap in. We attacked Twente in the second half and were reward with a deflected pass from Arias going to Clasie who fired from range hitting the top corner of the net. But again, the lead didn't last long with a cross in from the wing gave Castaignos a diving header for his second.

                  Ajax 3-3 PSV - Eredivise
(de Jong PEN 25', Schøne 43' Danilo Dias 45+4')
                  (Maher 18', Bakkali 52', Locadia 59')

What a game this was. We started on fire attacking Ajax. a corner whipped in from Wijnaldum gave Bruma the header that dropped to Maher for the easy finish. Ajax won a penalty when Bruma (again) handled it. Zoet dived the right way but could do nothing about it, the ball hit the post rolled across the line hit the other post and went in. A brilliant cross from the wing gave Schøne the header to take the lead. The half went from bad to worst for us when de Jong chipped the ball over to Danilo Dias who threaded the ball under Zoet to make it 3-1 with the final kick of the half. I made two changes taking off Maher and Narsingh for Schaars and Locadia (who came back from injury). The subs worked a treat with Schaars passing it to Depay who threaded the ball to Bakkali. 7 minutes later, my other substitute scored after a long shot was pushed out by the keeper that fell to Locadia for the easy tap in and to complete our comeback.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

I currently have two careers going:
                    1) Boyaca Chico in the second season and currently in group stage of Latin America Cup. Leading the group stage 9 to 7 over Corinthians. Corinthian handed my butt to me on a 2-4 loss.

                    2) West Ham just started with them two games into the season. Going to be a blast of a season.

I can really tell a difference between playing in these two different leagues.
Currently playing: (In order of Most Time)
CFB 25 Dynasties Mississippi St, Minnesota, UNC, Missouri, Pitt
                    Forza Motorsport
                    Star Wars Outlaws

Holy **** it is done! La Decima is here! What an amazing game it was! I couldn't believe it when vice-captain fantastic Ramos scored that header! I was in tears! But a lot of respect to Atleti.

And then let's get back to my career. So the transfer window finished and I decided to buy Ashley Young for €30m because he's the best LM there ever will be. I also got Stewart Downing. Nah, just kiddin'. I bought Marco Reus for €30m as a replacement for Turan (as I already mentioned). After that I decided to replace the ageing Raul Garcia. I made an offer for Draxler for €2.5m and Garcia. Schalke accepted and now both Germans are in my team. When I think about it, I could've gotten Jese Rodriguez from Real Madrid, but Draxler is pretty good too. I'm now almost done with February. In the CL I got matched up against Bayern Munich. Surprisingly, I got a 2-1 away victory from the first leg. What a result! I also drew with Real Madrid and beat Barcelona. I'm first in the league by 5 points. Real Madrid are 2nd and Barca 3rd. I'm in the final of Copa del Rey after beating teams like Getafe and Bilbao.

And as for Reus and Draxler, neither one has been amazing. And neither one has grown at all. That's why I'm thinking about selling them if they do not start improving. Also, I need a goalkeeper for next season. Do I get Courtois permanently or do I go for someone else?

And this is my starting XI in a 4-4-2:

                        ---------------Courtois---------------
Juanfran -- Godin -- Miranda -- Filipe Luis
                        Koke --- M. Suarez -- Gabi --- Reus
                        ------- Diego Costa -- David Villa --------

From a neutral point of view I feel very bad for Atletico... Holds the lead for 93 minutes then throws it away. Sad.

Anyway Reus never seems to grow for me but is a beast and Draxler usually gets to around an 88 overall for me. Are you playing him consistently? And also try playing him at CAM by playing a 4-1-2-1-2 formation with Gabi or M.Suarez as your CDM and Draxler as the CAM.

I find Courtois pretty average on this game. Some times he is exceptionally good and some times he is horribly bad. I always sign David de Gea. Doesn't grow until the age of 24-25 but then he grows fast. Got him at 87 overall for me and an absolute monster. (25 years old).

Yeah, I agree. It was pretty sad... for them. But Simeone and Atletico still did really well.

And yes, I'm playing Draxler alot. I'm subbing him on pretty much every game and he's starting every few games. As for the 4-1-2-1-2, I could try it out.

And I totally agree with you about Courtois. Everyone always praises him on the game, but for me he's not consistent. He either plays amazingly or he's garbage. And De Gea is a pretty good suggestion. I'm thinking about Ter Stegen myself, since he has a year left on his contract in the summer.

                            Thanks for the suggestions!

What happened in the most important game against Barcelona?

Firstly, every game against them has been very important for us. As for the game, we did our best. We don't have Real's millions or Barcelona's midfield and attack, but we reached the final and fought till the last whistle. In my opinion The Cules got lucky with the winning goal. Joao (Miranda) and Diego (Godin) were out of position because of our corner and Neymar ended a nice counter attack. Weirdely, he didn't dive.

How about surprising everyone and reaching the CL final AND winning the league?

It feels amazing. I'm really happy, the boys are playing with a smile and they're enjoying playing for us. Ofcourse we train really hard and give 110% in every game. Luckily it pays off. And as for the league title, securing it with three games to go, that's just amazing. But we couldn't have celebrated it for long as we had two finals still to play. But still, it took us 9 years to get the title we'll remember for ever. And I promise, another one is coming really soon!

Do you consider Atletico as a one-year-wonder?

Absolutely not! Just look at what Diego Simeone did before joining the board staff! He won two European cups, the Super Cup against Chelsea, the league last year! Atletico de Madrid is a great club, but it's not noticed too often 'cause of Real Madrid. But I promise, we're on the top to stay!

"After a spectacular win over Real Madrid in the Champions League final, Atletico have finally won the cup after over 40 years of wait! Every Colchonero remembers the shock defeat last year. But now, the tears have turned into smiles. Many thank for the success Atleti's new manager Simeon Ganchev, who took over the club after the defeat in the CL final 2013. What a change has he made! From a defending and tackling machine to a possession holding and attacking monster, Atletico got what they deserved!", wrote Marca.

Now I have a budget of €60M and 300k wages. I need a striker, a goalkeeper and a centre back. And at least 80 ovr. Any suggestions?
