Yeah, I feel ya. I also was unhappy about his transfer and I felt bad for Liverpool. But hey, that's football. And of course the El Clasico has to be right after his ban ends... damn.

That's cool, hopefully Madrid wins. And I was wondering what team do you support? Chico supports Guadalajara, I support RM and Hertha, but how about you? I also don't know Texie's club.

well, being from Venezuela I support Caracas F.C. Of course we haven't won anything significant ever, reflective of Venezuela's soccer history. I grew up watching a lot of Argentinian league soccer and I'm a big Boca Juniors fan. Right now I root for Tijuana in Mexico but that's only because the coach and arguably the best Venezuelan player of all times (Juan Arango) are there right now.

Spain = Barca
Italy = Inter


Other than that I don't really have favorite teams in other leagues. I'll root for wherever Venezuelan players go and hope they don't go to RM or Juventus.

BERISHA SIGNS EXTENSION, ROAR FALL IN MANAGER'S DEBUT

Brisbane -- Besart Berisha is staying in Brisbane. After a few weeks of contemplation from the Albanian striker, he has decided to sign his contract extension to remain a part of Brisbane Roar. The extension is reportedly for 2 years, $1200/wk. While many in the club see the signing as good news, there are rumours that the relationship between Berisha and his manager have soured. The manager did not comment when asked at the post-match press conference after his debut, where Brisbane Roar fell to Melbourne Heart 1-0.

Melbourne keeper Andrew Redmayne played one of the best games of his career, managing the clean sheet against a dangerous offensive opponent. Play was physical, and the official was fine to let the sides play rough. Brisbane winger Thomas Broich was injured on a terrible challenge that the official missed, although it wasn't serious. The match stayed scoreless until stoppage time, when a controversial penalty was called just outside the box against centre back Jade North. On the resulting free kick, midfielder Orlando Engelaar crossed it perfectly to centre back Rob Wielaert, who attempted to head it in. Brisbane keeper Michael Theo tried to punch the attempt out, but the momentum of the ball caused it to bounce up, and looped in for the winning goal. Seconds later, the official signaled full time.

Brisbane players were emotional after losing the manager's debut, but Willoughby shrugged it off in the presser. "It's just a match. One match doesn't make this season, and one match won't break this season. Melbourne came to play, we pressured, but their keeper was playing out of his mind today. Any other day, and some of those shots find the back of their net. But it is what it is, and we have to get ready to go back to Brisbane and play our best against Newcastle."

Vs. Sampdoria, 2-1: A key victory that saw Biglia score twice and win Man of the Match.

Lazio Goals:
5' Biglia: A goal from the left side that night the right crossbar and bounced in. The goalie had no chance.
55' Biglia: He grabbed the ball just outside the box and rocketed it past the goalie.

Sampdoria Goals:
45' Setsu: I attempted to clear the ball out of the box but it hit off Setsu, who ran to the center of the box and shot it into the corner of the net.

Vs. Parma, 3-2: After I made an amazing comeback they scored a heartbreaking goal to win.

A really good and deserved result against a top team. Hertha played well, creating lots of chances. They got the lead with a header by Lasogga who was unmarked. Schieber equalized later and it looked like Hertha were going to lose two points. But then the super sub Enner Valencia scored in the last minutes after a wonderful counter attack.

A tough game for Hertha. They had many shots but couldn't score them. Twente got three chances and they scored thankfully only two. Once again Hertha showed how dangerous they are on the counter in their 3-1-goal. The Berliners got a great beginning to their European journey. But it's still worse than Wimbledon's. Ganchev has stated that he's thinking about resigning because of "doing worse than a Championship side".

Good afternoon, Mr Ganchev, and congratulations on becoming first.

Thank you! I told you we would be at the top. And after beating Dortmund and Bayern 5 out of 6 times during this year-and-a-half, I can say that we deserve to be there. Hertha are the best team in Germany at the moment.


Aren't you too confident? How about the lose against Hannover?

They got really, really lucky. Did you watch the game? Our players weren't themselves! Someone had replaced my squad. But that result woke us up and we bounced back beautifully against Kaiserslautern.


Is it true that FC Barcelona and the Italian national team offered you a job?

Yes, it is true. But I didn't even think about accepting it. I will never manage a team like Barcelona, full of actors and animals. As for the Italian job, I haven't any intentions of taking an international job. I'm fully focused on Hertha and I want to work with my players every day, face to face.


Will you move to a bigger club after this season?

Isn't Hertha a big club? If it isn't, what classifies as a big club? I will not move to any clubs any time soon. I'm 100% focused on my job here in Berlin.


What do you think about your two Champions League games?

They were marvellous! We played really good football in both matches and we will continue to do so. I'm only disappointed in our result against Twente, it's a lot worse than the newly-promoted Wimbledon's. But right now going to the semi-finals seems realistic. But we need to stay calm and do our best.


Newly-promoted Wimbledon's? Are you talking about the midtable-ish League 2 side?

In what has come as a shocking move, Tex Bumosix has completed his first signing since taking over Morecambe FC, and it's a triple raid of Sporting KC's group of young players. Alright, well, I am going to try to rewrite the post and hope in works this time. If it does work, I am sorry for no pictures, I will start using them after I get 5 posts under my belt, because I think that may have been the problem. SO, with that being said, here goes. I want to start a career mode that I can stick with for a while. I have 3 teams and would like suggestions to what one to use below.


1. L.A. Galaxy - A rather old team, you look at their strikers, Keane and Donovan, sounds nice until you hear 32 and 30. So who do you look at behind them? Marcelo Sarvas? 30. Juninho? Maybe, but you still need to fill that ST position. What you do to fill it is to be discovered...


EDIT: LA Galaxy only has 2 subs, and with an old team, they are bound for injury. This team is destined to forfeit some games, which is an extra added road bump.


2. NY Red Bulls - Their main man. Thierry Henry. 35. Then who? Bradley Wright-Phillips is a very nice 27 year old striker, and could possible be your option. Other than that there may be a few hidden gems in the team, but you'd have to pluck them out.


3. Seattle Sounders - Probably the youngest of the teams. Up front you have the main man for the stars and stripes Clint Dempsey up front. Behind him you have Obafemi Martins, a very fast striker from Nigeria who can flat out run. You also have some other studs behind them but quite frankly this is the third time I am writing this and Im not sure if OS will hate on me again so I'll leave it at that.


So you may be wondering, what's the point of taking potentially the three best teams in the MLS? That doesn't seem like much fun? Well, the most voted team will no longer play in the MLS. They will go to the most voted league. With that there are three leagues I present to you.


1. Barclays Premier League - The most balanced of the leagues for sure. The objective of all the leagues is the same. I don't think we will win right away, but if we can it would be nice. The hope is to stay up in the league. This league would definitely be tough to win, but it is possible.


2. Ligue 1 - The goal and hope is the same in this league as in the Barclays Premier League. However in this league we are hoping to overtake the likes of PSG and AS Monaco. The motto: Destroy and concur.


3. BundesLiga - With the BundesLiga, still the same goal/hope but we want to overtake or concur Borrussia Dortmund and FC Bayern. In the BundesLiga there are definitely some side teams that could present us problems like Bayer Leverkusen. In the end, all three of these leagues are tough.


Well, that may wrap up my first post, or I may need to write it another ten times for OS to accept it, I guess we'll see. If you guys can reply and leave suggestions of which team out of the three above I should use and what league out of the three above I should use, and maybe even an explanation, that would be great. My vote is for Sounders, but rather than the EPL, I suggest you move to the Football League 2 and work your way up to the top flight. Add some restrictions to make things more challenging i.e. you can only sign academy players until you reach the Championship, or no signings that cost more than a million pounds.

I'd say be the Sounders if you want any chance of competing right away and I love their kits so my vote is Sounders.

Also I'm one of those people who just cannot stick with a career for a long time. I actually started a Newcastle career a while back on here but it didn't last long. I also am not mutch for writeups but I could post a season recap on my Inter Milan career I've got going if anyone wants to read it. Thanks and good luck with whoever you choose TheRealDeal!

Can't figure it out. I know Kempin and Ellis were the 1st and 2nd players to sign a homegrown contract with KC, and they have both been loaned out to Oklahoma City now, but Medranda throws me off. I'm sorry I can't figure it out :'(

I don't think Lazio would need a rule since they're pretty much a top of the table team in Italy. Then again I don't know much about the Serie A. Do you personally follow the club? Do you know of any policies they have IRL?

Seattle 2 - 0 Bristol Rovers
Comments : My RM Marco Pappa scored twice in this game, a great statement to keep him in the squad.
2nd Game [Capital One Cup]
Hartlepool 1 - 3 Seattle
Comments : Marco Pappa is such a stud. The dude had a goal and then two assists. I didn't know he had 4 star skills until that game. I also cant believe Dempsey has 5 star skills.
3rd Game: Seattle: 2 - 0 Hartlepool
Comments: I couldn't believe it when I saw I was playing them twice in a row. But anyways, this was a good, solid game for us. Martins led us off with his blazing speed for a quick goal, and then right after we scored off of a corner courtesy of Osvaldo Alonso. Their goalie was amazing. I put on 15 shots and only two managed to go in. Although I happened to hit the bar a lot :/

Great results. Good to see you agreed to place them in League 2 rather than the Prem. If you ever decide to narrate your career in a 3rd person point of view, it would be cool if you talk about your restrictions as restrictions the FA placed on you for being a foreign club that was invited to join the league.

Who did you take out of the League 2 when you swapped Seattle in?
