he's got a particular role about only signing players from the united kingdom, I believe. Even more amazing that he's accomplished what he has, but I do wonder if he'll be able to compete at the top of the BPL with that restriction.

Challenging the Champions
SpoilerApril 2015
Liverpool 0 - 2 Hertha, Champions League Quarter Final
SpoilerKovacic 79', Ramos 89'
A great result for Hertha in their first Champions League quarter final ever. The Berliners faced the English giants Liverpool and they got two away goals from the legendary Anfield. The first 70 minutes were full of beautiful football, including many passing combinations, good shots, great saves and nice tackles. Then in the 79th minute came the dark moment for Liverpool's keeper Simon Mignolet. Hertha's Divock Origi closed down on him when he had the ball. Mignolet tried to clear the ball but it hit Origi and bounced straight to Kovacic. The Croatian midfielder didn't miss and put the ball to the net. Ten minutes later Ramos finished a counter attack from the left. Hertha got two away goals and it looked like they were going to the semi finals.
Hertha 1 - 0 Eintracht Frankfurt
Schulz 38'
Hertha 1 - 1 Liverpool (3-1 agg.), Champions League Quarter Finals
Blind 42'
L. Alberto 70'
An okay match which ended in the Berliners progressing in the Champions League. They started the scoreline when Daley Blind joined the attack. Valentin Stocker found the Dutch man with a through pass. The defenders were closing on Blind who decided to shoot from outside the box and the ball found it's way to the top left corner. The Hertha fans were chanting "Next year is yours" and "You'll never win it again". In the 70th minute Luis Alberto managed to equalize after a long ball which surprised the defence but it didn't mean anything. The Blau-Weiss were through to their first ever Champions League semi final! The players and the fans were full of joy and shouting and singing after the final whistle.
Kaiserslautern 0 - 1 Hertha
Drmic 57'
Hertha 4 - 1 Hannover
Meyer 24', Kovacic 29', Stocker 63', Depay 81'
Pric 55'
Hertha Berlin Secure the Bundesliga Title!
After the final whistle of the game against Hannover the sold out Olympiastadion exploded. About twenty thousand fans invaded the pitch to celebrate with the players who were crying, singing, jumping, chanting and doing all the other things winners do. The 70,000 Berliners who were watching the game were cheering and chanting and singing from their lungs. The players and the fans celebrated together as a giant group their spectacular achievement. The team got promoted only two years ago and it already won the title! Stocker and Ramos carried Ganchev on their shoulders, the players formed a ring and they started throwing the young manager up and down while chanting his name. When Valentin Stocker, the captain, lifted the shield-trophy-thing the fans who were there till the end sang their clubs anthem.
"I can't believe this just happened! I have to be dreaming! I can't describe this! This is the best football related moment of my life!" said 49 years old Christoph Rundhagen, a livelong Hertha supporter.
Hertha 2 - 1 Inter Milan, Champions League Semi Finals
Ramos 19', Lasogga 20'
Ranocchia 51'
FC Barcelona 0 - 2 Real Madrid, Champions League Semi Finals
A great game for Hertha right after they won their third Bundesliga title over 70 years after the last one! The Berliners played well and they scored the first goal when Adrian Ramos cut in from the left and he shot the pall to the top right corner. Only minute later Pierre-Michel Lasogga stole the ball from the Italians right after kick off. The strong striker ran through the pitch and none of the defenders did anything. Lasogga unleashed a mighty shot from the box's edge. The keeper got a touch but the ball found its way to the net anyway. Hertha dominated the game going to half time. In the 51st minute Inter got a free kick which Jonathan crossed in. Thomas Kraft came out of his goal to grab the ball but he ran past it and Ranocchia headed the ball in easily. Hetha won the game but Inter got an important away goal.
Bayern Munich 2 - 1 Hertha
Götze 26', Lahm 52'
Depay 75'
Inter Milan 0 - 1 Hertha (1-3 agg), Champions League Semi Final
Stocker 62'
Real Madrid 2 - 1 FC Barcelona (4-1 agg), Champions League Semi Final
Hertha are through to their first ever European final! What a run it has been for the Berliners! They have won all of their games in the Champions League except for just two. The game at San Siro was really tough for both teams and it looked like it would end as a goalless draw. But then Valentin Stocker received the ball on the right. The captain cut in, got past a centre back by stepovers and then he shot a powerful shot to the bottom left corner to guarantee Hertha's place in the final. The Swiss man ran to celebrate with his manager and all the players jumped on top of him. Kraft made some nice saves to keep his clean sheet and the referee blew his whistle. It was reported that over half a million citizens of Berlin ran on the streets to celebrate after Ganchev's side advanced to the final. Many players and Ganchev himself shred tears of joy after their childhood dream of being in the Champions League final was fulfilled. The next day Real Madrid beat Barcelona at home and Los Blancos got to their second CL final in two years.
"We are ready, no matter what team it is! Bring it on!" commentend the really happy manager.

Hello, Mr. Ganchev, and congratulations on winning the Bundesliga title!
Thank you really much!
How did it feel winning it?
Absolutely spectacular! There are no words that I can use to describe the feeling! I'm really, really happy for my players who really deserve this trophy. They did every day all they could and now they got rewarded for it. To win the league with four games to go, that's pretty amazing!
Will the team continue playing well even though there isn't anything to play for in the three remaining games?
I am absolutely sure of it. The guys are real winners and they will play in every game as good as they can, no matter if it's a friendly of a grand final.
You mentioned finals. It's pretty spectacular to be challenging for the treble and playing in two finals in two weeks, isn't it?
You are right, it's amazing. We have been fighting this whole season and we are getting rewarded for it now. We still remember our cup defeat from last year and we will win it now for the fans. Our opponent Werder Bremen is having a bad season and I'm sure we'll win by at least two goals. As for the Champions League final, that's just... wow. That's all I can say. We knew we had a good team but when we saw our opponents which weren't favourites we realized we could go a long way in this competition. The other finalist, Real Madrid, is a great team who have really dangerous and amazing players. They are the clear favourites. But we will not park the buss. The team will play to win. The boys know how proud I am of them already and whatever happens, they are the true winners.
The transfer window is opening in a few months. Are there any transfer targets for you?
I will not name anyone specific, but we need squad depth and good reserves.
How is Hertha's youth academy project doing?
I won't lie, we haven't got anyone really promising yet. It's just a matter of time untill we'll get that one guy who's the new Gerd Müller or the new Van Basten.
Again, congratulations and good luck!
Thank you a lot.
Next update: May 2015. After it comes the season review and squad report.
Thank you for reading the post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback and suggestions will be appreciated!

After what I call 'A perfect Month' we have not just got back into promotion placing but are also lying in pole position. Best players so far are Jervis, Taylor, Barcham, Carson and Bradley. All five players are in top form and really proving why we should be back in league one next year. I though I would show you how well your teams are doing in the league, or how bad.
A slightly less difficult month in October but with a bitter end to it having been drawn away at Man City in the Capital one cup :/ Till next time!
Love your league table! Thanks for showing all of us where our teams are at! Texas what's going on man? Gotta get that team of yours in line. I know you're only 5 points away from me but 10th place looks a lot better than 21st
I've decided to do a Accrington Stanley career as well as continuing with Aston Villa. I started earlier and played a few competitive games and I love it!
Their starting budget was only €200k so unlike previous careers you've got to spend every penny WISELY.
Most of the money was put into the youth academy since there's no obvious weak spot in the team.
I have to say there's a big difference between playing in League 2 then the prem.
I will update on Stanley at the end of September.
Yes!! Welcome to the League 2 Brotherhood! Accrington were always very difficult to beat in cup matches. Best of luck!Last edited by _ChicoBass; 07-31-2014, 01:38 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
at Dagenham I'm shooting for players in the low 60's or even high 50's so long as the players have growth for improvement. I don't want any more Josh Scott's even if he's been amazing so far. I'm pretty much set everywhere for now but I do want to get one more striker - Clayton will do for now if Crewe accepts the loan offer.
At Alcorcon I'm shooting for players in the high 60's and low 70's with room to grow mostly focusing at striker although that seems to be covered now. I may also want to find the replacement for Navarro as I don't think he's progressing any more than where he's at.
Navarro is your right back, right? Maybe try to get DeAndre Yedlin? He's fast and he's got a good potential. He starts at 65-68 but I don't know how high his rating will be in the year you're in.-Simppu12-

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Final April Update - Season 3
SpoilerAFC Wimbledon 1 - 2 Middlesbrough
WIM: Hanson 4'
MID: Graham 51' 60'
Wimbledon went ahead very early in the match with a great goal from late bloomer James Hanson. The club played brilliant football with a new 4-4-2 formation but failed to finish. 2 mistakes in less than 10 minutes were enough for Middlesbrough to change the match. This loss allowed QPR to be just 2 points away from AFC Wimbledon's auto promotion spot.
Europa League:
AFC Wimbledon 1 - 1 Zenit
WIM: Baldwin 86'
ZEN: Soloviev 90'
A very tense match at Kingsmeadow where the scoreline wasn't opened until the final 4 minutes of the match. Jack Baldwin came into the match as a substitute to help Wimbledon secure the 0-0 draw, but actually ended up scoring himself! The fan's celebration only lasted a few minutes though, as the Russians were able to tie the game in stoppage time. Meanwhile in Spain, Tottenham defeated Bilbao 1-0.
Peterborough 1 - 3 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Hewitt 4' James 31' 53'
PET: Payne 69'
A very easy win against the worse team in the division. Chavez's alternative lineup were able to secure the 3 points and keep the club's promotion dreams alive.
AFC Wimbledon 0 - 1 Fulham
FUL: Ruiz 12'
A very painful loss for Wimbledon. Fulham were able to grab an early goal when a long ball was played to ex-Benfica striker Lima inside the box. Wimbledon's Pell was able to force him to the edge of the box, but allowed him just enough space for him to turn around and pass the ball to the middle of the box where Ruiz was rushing in scored leaving Worner standing still at the goal line. This loss dropped Wimbledon to 3rd place for the first time in months, while QPR took the auto promotion spot in 2nd.
Europa League:
Zenit 3 - 1 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Hird 6'
ZEN: Witsel 26' Hulk PEN 39' Shatov 86'
The European dream is over as Wimbledon have bowed out of their first ever European tournament. Chavez was forced to play an alternative lineup due to fatigue, and it proved costly. 28 year old Sam Hird scored his 2nd European goal very early in the match giving the Wimbledon fans the illusion that they would see a huge upset. Unfortunately for them, the Russians played hard in their home turf and were able to eliminate the English side. No boos or jeers were heard in the stadium, only applause for Wimbledon. The Zenit players shook hands with the Dons after the match as well, recognizing the underdogs for the great tournament they had.
Leeds United 1 - 3 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Tafazolli 14' Gornell 51' Pell 90'
LEE: Morison 49'
Wimbledon needed a win and a QPR loss to the division's worst team Peterborough in order to get back to auto promotion. A draw would not suffice, as QPR have a better goal difference. The fans in the stadium were victims of mass mood swings as Tafazolli grabbed an early lead, but then Morison equalized meaning Wimbledon were out of definite promotion and would have to go through playoffs. Just 2 minute later, the club hero Terry Gornell appeared to give the club the lead again. Leeds were pushing to get a late goal but Wimbledon defender Harry Pell scored the 3rd in the final minutes to secure the win. Meanwhile at Peterborough, QPR only needed an easy victory or even a draw to secure their promotion to the BPL. In one of the biggest upsets of the year, Peterborough went ahead 1-0 in the first half and actually held them off achieving barely their 3rd win of the season!!
AFC Wimbledon have been promoted to the BPL for the first time since their founding in 2002!
FL Championship League Table (W/D/L)
1. Fulham - 106 points (32/10/4)
2. AFC Wimbledon - 91 points (27/10/9)
3. QPR - 89 points (25/14/7)
4. Wigan Athletic - 85 points (24/13/9)
5. Reading - 84 points (24/12/10)
6. Bolton - 80 points (21/17/8)
--------------------
22. Barnsley - 30 points (6/12/28)
23. Bristol City - 23 points (5/8/33)
24. Peterborough - 18 points (3/9/34)

Press Conference
Mr. Chavez over here! ChicoBass from HYFCMG. First of all congratulations on another successful season and the club's first ever promotion to the BPL! How do you feel?
"Just like the players and all of the fans: ecstatic! As soon as we took the lead at Leeds the second time I turned around and asked for an update on the Peterborough match. I couldn't believe what I was hearing when they told me. Hats off to Peterborough for shooting to end the season on a victory despite being relegated. Best of luck in League 1. Hopefully the people in charge over there can figure out how to run the club again and bring them back to the Champ. next season."
Tough loss at Zenit. Do you regret fielding an alternative squad?
"No. We needed to give the league priority because of how close it was getting at the top of the table. No regrets and no hard feelings towards the players that saw action that day. They did the best they could and we're very close to upsetting Zenit."
You only needed 1 more goal and you would have passed to the finals on away goals. Does it frustrate you that you had close to an hour to get it but the team failed to do so?
"Well that's easier said than done. Yes we only needed one more goal, but we're talking about one of Russia's best AT Russia. To be honest there were times I thought we could've actually gone on and won the tournament, but I'm still very satisfied with this team that were able to handle the pressure and make it this far. They say that nobody remembers the semifinals, but this is a team that I'm sure nobody could forget."
Could you give us a little peek on how you will prepare for the BPL?
"You know, right now we're actually not thinking about that. We're thinking about the upcoming FA Cup final against Tottenham."
Right, right. I apologize. How do you feel going into the club's and your own first ever FA Cup final?
A little nervous to be honest. This is Tottenham's 3rd cup final of this season alone so we know this will be a very difficult side to break. They lost the Capital One final to Chelsea, they have this final against us, and they also have the opportunity to win back-to-back Europa League titles this year as they face Zenit in the finals there. We're up against a tough side, but finally we have a couple weeks to rest and we're used to playing as the underdogs. It empowers us more than bring us down."
Very well Mr. Chavez. Thank you, and again congratulations.
Thanks for reading!

Q: What started out as a promising month had a rough ending to it. How do you feel about the results for this month?
A: It was a little disappointing to drop the last 2 matches in the way that we did as well as drawing the match before those. As you can see, we are only 3 points out of a promotion playoff spot and dropping those points could come back to haunt us. But overall I think that we are going to keep improving and the results will turn in our favor more often as we move forward in the season.
Q: We saw that you experimented with a new 5-3-2 formation against Chesterfield that resulted in a 0-0 draw. Is this a formation that you will go back to at times or was it a one time thing?
A: As you can see, with the 5 man back line the defense was stout, but as of right now our personnel isn't exactly what fits that formation the best as far as the attack goes. However, I do think that this will be a formation you will see us use multiple times throughout the season when we hope to take a point from tough matches on the road. But, as for now our main formation will remain the 4-1-4-1.
Q: You continue to advance in the J. Paint Trophy. While it is a competition that consists of only lower league teams, it still must be good motivation to be competing in another competition. Do you take these matches serious, or do you maintain your focus on league play?
A: Obviously league play is what is most important, but we still take pride in all cup performances, even if it is only lower league teams competing. I came to this club with the intention to win trophies and the players are aligned with that vision as well. Anything we compete in we want to win. If we continue to do well in this competition our eyes will definitely be on that trophy waiting at the end.
That's where he ended the season due to the MCL injury. He's the undisputed starter at CAM. I'm getting offers upwards of $40 million for him from clubs like Bayern, Napoli, and others in this transfer window and I'm still rejecting everyone like a conceited little blonde hot girl in high school.
Hi guys,
I've decided to stop with my FC Porto career mode, as I'm seeing that there are so many unlicensed teams in Portugal, near the half of them. I knew a pair, but I don't feel nice playing with more unlicensed teams, and in some cases with a different name (Club Marítimo is C. Funchal, for example). I played Serie A once and with promotions and relegations you can have 2 or 3 maximum, but it's Serie A...and not 6 or 7 of 16.
So I'm gonna start with a team in a complete licensed league. I have 3 options in mind (any more options are accepted). Here they are with pros and cons:Spoiler
Sporting Gijón (Liga Adelante, 2nd Spanish league)
Pros:
It's my team, I'm a member of the club since I was a child, the team of my city. The team I support.
It would be nice to return them to Liga BBVA, and try to put the team in Europe in the future.
Cons:
Don't like so much playing in a league without the possibility of relegation, that means that if you don't have possibilities of promotion and you're lost in mid-table you relax (at least me) cause you know nothing happens. So finally you sim most of the matches.
I've played with them in every edition of the game, so I feel like doing the same again, and I'm scared about getting bored.
I'm not sure really what level I would reach. The worst thing of this game is winning and having an invicible team in a few seasons, at least for me. For this, I have personal rules to make it real, as not signing a pre-contract player with a value more than the 20% of my team starting budget (except more than 33 y/o players), and only a pre-contract player each season.
Athletic Bilbao (Liga BBVA, 1st Spanish league)
Pros:
Their philosophy in real life makes it an extraordinary challenge, as you can only sign Basque players (for them, this includes Navarra and Frech Basque country) or formed in a Basque team. So you have a very limited market and you need to improve your youth team and promote young players permanently to, at least, maintain the team's level.
The domination of Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain, trying to stop it with a competitive team.
I have a bit of sympathy for the city and team, they reflect pure football, without foreign players, working with youth teams too. The best Sporting Gijón era was more or less with that philosophy, with only 2 or 3 foreing players and with lots of young players in the fist team formed in Sporting Academy (which became very famous in Spain).
Cons:
Although it would be difficult to have an invincible team, It could happen or maybe I could "feel" it. The squad of Athletic for 2013-14 it's really nice to start. It's probably the only disadvantage I see in this career.
I would like to play with a team with a real stadium in the game. It's not a very important point for me, but I like it most.
Hamburger SV (Bundesliga)
Pros:
Trying to improve the team, which is near relegation in the last seasons IRL, and reach a good level to beat Bayern and Dormund, and dominate Bundesliga for years.
Real stadium.
Good history, so seeing Hamburger at the top of the league or winning an international cup is not unreal.
I like Bundesliga, the stadiums, the atmosphere, the level of the teams (you can win or lose with any team). And the season doesn't last too long, as the German Cup has only a match each round, and 34 league matches.
Cons:
Again, if I'm gonna have a superteam or not. For this, I'm now thinking on another personal rule, in which you have to leave your team if you win everything in two consecutive seasons, or not signing any player in two consecutive seasons (only from your youth team). If you leave, you must apply for a lower level team.
So, they're my options. I need some help, and what's your opinion!vrabbit

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
For Dagenham I'm thinking about Danny Kedwell who did well for Chico. Valmir Berisha of Roma should be a good player too. He's 61 ovr with 78 potential but he might be too expensive. The English Jordi Hiwula, the French Maxwel Cornet, the English Ryan Seager, the Chilean Jorge Guajardo and the Colombian Oswal Alvarez look nice. You can always check Sofifa.com for players you like.
Navarro is your right back, right? Maybe try to get DeAndre Yedlin? He's fast and he's got a good potential. He starts at 65-68 but I don't know how high his rating will be in the year you're in.vrabbit

SpoilerChallenging the Champions
April 2015
Liverpool 0 - 2 Hertha, Champions League Quarter Final
Kovacic 79', Ramos 89'

Press Conference
Congratulations! No more Bayern and Borussia up top, the Bundesliga belongs to Berlin now! Good luck against RM. Inter are very difficult to break tactically, so if you got past them I'm sure you can give Madrid a run for their money.
That's right, and we're staying that waymy next goal is to prove that it can be done. Bilbao have survived in La Liga with their philosophy and won championships, and Guadalajara has done it since 1906 and became the most successful club in Mexico. Granted, they've taken a fall these past few seasons and their philosophy was questioned, but they stayed true to their colors and are moving back to the top of the table now
I think this policy will only make the Premier more challengingComment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
wow, that sucks that Lazio fired you. Bitch move. Nobody seems to do a French League CM so you could try that. I like Lyon and Marseille there, Monaco too although that's not much of a challenge. You could roll with Nantes too (I believe Bedoya plays there)vrabbit

Wow dude. I can't believe I forgot to mention Danny Kedwell!! Thanks uhhh... Sim... Uhhh... Pu? Is that how it's pronounced? Sim-pooh? Sim-Pew? Right right Simppu there you go.
Danny Kedwell is an excellent choice if you're looking for a strong target man. League 1 top scorer with me and scored on top teams like Liverpool. If only he was younger. His wage will be higher than Clayton's, I think it's $1000. Both players are completely different so whichever fits what you're looking for!Comment

Sucks so bad. I would have taken a job in Italy and showed them up. You have the USA job so I thought you would've stayed in this CM. You had really turned it around going into the end, sucks you couldn't find that form earlier. Good luck on your new challenge!Comment

I'll do my best against Real Madrid. It will be tough to play against Ronaldo and Bale but we can do it. It would be amazing to win the treble.
Keep that policy going for at least a few years more. It makes the series more interesting and probably more fun for you. I at least enjoying transfers when I did a Bilbao career once.
I have a question for you guys. If I manage to win the treble should I leave Hertha? Or should I stay? And if I don't win the treble should I stay?-Simppu12-
