    ROAR CO-CAPTAIN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
    9 September 2013

    Brisbane -- Brisbane Roar Left Back Shane Stefanutto has been calm under pressure his entire career. The co-captain has had ice in his veins as he has helped Brisbane Roar FC to hoist two A-League championships in the last three years. However, announcing the end of your career is, for many, more emotional than any time on the pitch. It would have been understandable for Stefanutto to break into tears at any time during his retirement announcement. However, he treated it with the same stoicism that has made him such a rock on the pitch. "Today I am announcing that I plan to retire at the end of this season. I have accomplished so much here in my time at Brisbane, and I have appreciated everything the club has done for me and my family. But, I'm not getting any younger. Matches are taking their toll on me and I'd rather be able to play with my kids on the beach without being in pain, so this will be my last."

    Stefanutto, 33, is the oldest player on the Brisbane roster. He is co-captain with Centre Back Matt Smith. Behind him is youngster Corey Brown, who looks to see significant time on the pitch in relief of Stefanutto. While there's a strong chance manager Mike Mulvey will target Left Backs closer to the Winter Transfer window, he hasn't commented on the need in recent statements. "Shane is a joy to coach. He's absolutely tremendous in defence and is a true leader by example. It will be a true loss to the A-League not to have a player of his calibre on the pitch anymore, but he's still here for the season, which is great news. We get to send him off right. With a championship."

          New changes afoot at Southend United
          Southend United announce the shock appointment of Surajreet9 as the head coach for the upcoming 2013/14 season. This is a surprise to many as Micky Adams from Port Vale was the favorite for the position. The chairman of Southend has come out in defense of his new manager. "Surajreet9 is a great manager. I would not have appointed him if I thought he had nothing to offer. He can be the next best thing and hopefully, he can lead us toward the promotion spots."

          Surajreet9 speaks

          "Hello everyone. I know many people have doubts over my ability to lead this wonderful club. Now I may not be able to dispel those doubts immediately but I will do so within the 2 months available to us before the season really starts getting underway. Signings have been made and will be announced shortly. The players I signed will play a big role in pushing us into the promotion spots. I will be playing a 5-3-2 with some tweaks added. This will all be revealed in the next press conference on Wednesday.Thank you."

          Transfers

          Marko Futács, Julian Garrero, Iliya Milanov and Luke James have signed for the Shrimpers. Surajreet9 clearly thought the free agents would make a huge impact for the club and they seem to be doing so, having impressed in training so far. Luke James was signed from Hartlepool for £200,000 and Lee Barnard. Surajreet9 had this to say about the 18 year old. "This lad has the potential to be the best striker this club has ever seen. The amount of talent in this youngster is unparalleled. I actually contacted AFC Wimbledon manager Chico_Bass to get his opinion on Luke and he spoke glowingly about him, leading me to sign him."

          Any feedback would be appreciated!

            Man I really appreciate the mention! Great signing I hope he develops well for you. He's had great progress with me but his play time was limited due to the level of competition. You're putting together a great squad, good news for all of us that wanted a Southend United career! Looking forward to the next update

It's great to be back and I look forward to starting this Career Mode. Oh and please leave some replies on the question as it would help a bunch.

              Haven't seen you around in forever great to see you back! I think you should just download latest and get the career going, and then just make the new moves Chelsea made in the 2014/2015 transfer window. However, if you decide to manually make the changes before beginning the career mode you're gonna have to make changes for everyone else too in order for it to be realistic.

              I've always liked the idea of a Chelsea career. Personally I would like to make it like a reviving Torres CM but that's just been an idea never done it. What will be your approach?

                BREAKING NEWS - Chavez Accepts

                Very important and surprising news coming from Wimbledon, Chavez has officially signed a contract to manage the Scotland national team! We take you to the press conference following the news leak.

                Press Conference

                Mr. Chavez, can I get a few words for HYFCMG?

                "Yes of course, uhhhh Chico is it?"

                Yes sir that's me! Alright so, you've been the manager at Wimbledon for the past 3 seasons but rejected several international offers including Wales, New Zealand, Ecuador, and Paraguay to name a few. What brought you to finally accept an international job while at the same time managing Wimbledon?

                "The challenge that Scotland offered me. I'm a man that really enjoys taking on huge obstacles and in most cases being an "underdog." This challenge is huge as we have the Euro Cup right around the corner, and I believe Scotland have the potential to prove people wrong."

                How will this impact AFC Wimbledon?

                "Very positively. For example, Wimbledon have an incredible fan base which has been growing spectacularly over the years. We have a great following in England and in Wales. I'm sure that with this opportunity we can begin expanding into Scotland as well. After all, our goal is to show the world that the UK has massive talent, but some teams rather play with foreign players rather than open the door for the youth in our country. Not us, and I can think of no better way to show Europe that the UK has great footballers, than by showing Scotland's talent."

                Why do you think the rest of the UK countries, Scotland in this case, has failed to impress internationally?

                "With all due respect to the previous manager, I think the best players weren't being called up."

                Would you have made changes to the team selection had you been contacted before?

                "The players I have here on my list are great Scottish players. They deserve to be considered for the national team without a doubt. However, I think there are players that were left out such as Ryan Jack and Ross McCormack who could have really contributed to this team."

                Now that we're talking about the players, what kind of formation will we be seeing? At Wimbledon you've favored the 4-1-4-1 and occasionally a traditional 4-4-2. Last season you used a 5-4-1. Scotland has been working with a 4-2-3-1 under the previous management. Will you adapt to what these footballers have been working on for this tournament or will you have them adapt to you?

                "I have never played with a 4-2-3-1 myself, but I am not completely unfamiliar with it. Our first match is in just 16 days against Spain. I would have preferred having a few preparation matches beforehand so that the team could learn my playing style, but unfortunately that is a luxury I do not have. I have to work with the squad list that was already submitted to UEFA by the previous management staff, so I might make a few tweaks to the style of play but I don't have enough time for the players to completely adapt to my style."

                Okay, last question. What are your long term plans with Scotland?

                "My contract length is only until the end of the tournament. We have a very important season coming up for AFC Wimbledon, so I feel I may not be able to give Scotland the attention they deserve."

                  I know, in the few weeks I was away so much happened. I've got a lot of catching up to do. I've decided to play using the most recently updated squads and just buy the players later on. I think I will hold on to Torres and try and turn him into the striker he once was. Hopefully that can happen. I also want to centre the career mode around Chelsea's massive amount of quality youth players and get rid of the older players and bring in the loanees we currently have. I going to have a play around today and hopefully the first post will be up either today or tomorrow.

                    Bad news guys...I've been playing through the first few matches of my Roar career...simmed the friendlies....

                    ...and all my centre backs got injured. Jade North, broken tibia. Matt Smith, broken collarbone. James Donachie, torn ACL. Ugh.

                    I now don't have enough players to continue the career.

                    So that's the bad news. Or the good news, depending on what you thought of my Roar career(s).

                    The good news is, I'm going to press on with a VfB Stuttgart career in it's stead. Also, if I suck at World Class, as least this one can have some interesting storylines.

                    So for those of you wanting to see Roar FC win a 3rd championship (just like IRL), sorry.

                    For those who didn't like my careers, good news! Sorta.

                      AFC Wimbledon - Season 3

                      June 2016

                      Scotland 2 - 0 Spain
                      SCO: Mackay-Steven 45' Didac (OG) 50'
                      The tournament opener for Scotland under new boss Chavez saw perhaps the biggest upset of the European Championship. Scotland got their first shot on goal in the 45th minute which resulted in the goal. 5 minutes after the second half kicked off, Spain goalkeeper Aitor parried a shot which hit nearby defender Didac and the ball went into his own net. Diego Costa looked very disconnected from the rest of the team, and often sent passes to areas far from his teammates. Chavez started off the match with Scotland's usual 4-2-3-1, but changed to his custom 4-1-4-1 at halftime. Scotland played much better after the formation change.

                      Scotland 1 - 2 France
                      FRA: Mangala 19' Ben Yedder 45'
                      SCO: Fleck 45'
                      Once again Scotland scored right before halftime but this time it wasn't enough as France responded instantly after. France dominated the match and prevented Scotland from creating danger. In this match, Chavez started off with his own 4-1-4-1 but changed to 4-2-3-1 as France had perfectly studied his playing style and kept him at bay. Meanwhile, Greece clinched another tournament upset by defeating Spain 1-0. With these results, the #2 spot in the group would be decided in the final match between Scotland and Greece, both with 3 points but Scotland with the goal difference in their favor.

                      Greece 1 - 1 Scotland
                      GRE: Maniatis 17'
                      SCO: Fletcher 45'
                      An outstanding match between two teams battling for the spot to go to the tournament quarterfinals. Greece scored first and were completely on top of the Scottish. Scotland played counter attacking football due to Greece's possession dominance, and again were able to score right before halftime. Fletcher, playing his first game in the tournament after Russell was benched for underperforming at striker, scored the Scot's only goal which might be enough to secure a starting spot. Greece fought back hard and were close to scoring and eliminating Scotland on several occasions. Chavez was frantic at the sidelines shouting directions as the Greek players continues to expose holes in his team. Luckily, after 5 added minutes by the referee, Scotland held the draw and passed the group stage!

                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                      European Championship - Group D
                      1. France - 9 points (+7)
                      2. *Scotland* - 4 points (+1)
                      3. Greece - 4 points (-2)
                      4. Spain - 0 points (-6)
                      Scotland will now face powerhouse team Germany in the cup quarterfinals. Chavez fielded a 4-3-3 holding last match, and might repeat the same lineup for this match. Germany, along with France, have the most goals so far this tournament with 8 in 3 matches.
                      Spain is the only team in the tournament that was not able to score a single goal.
                        Portsmouth 2013-2014 season
                        With such an amazing month prier to this one there is a lot of expectation for Portsmouth to perform;
                        Man City 1-2 Portsmouth
                        Drennen 74'
                        Racon 82'
                        By far the best game of this month. I decided to go full out defense and played a 5-4-1 and hoped on the counter. Man City had 69% posestion yet they were unable to react quick enough and defend while Portsmouth were on the counter attack. This will be forever remembered as one of the greatest Portsmouth wins ever.
                          July 2016
                          Germany 1 - 0 Scotland
                          GER: Reus 90'
                          Scotland did not deserve to lose this match. Simple as that. This was Scotland's best match under Chavez, clearly displaying his style of play and great chemistry between each other. Unfortunately, Manuel Neuer played an outstanding match as usual which gave him the Man of The Match award. Steven Fletcher went through Germany's defense like water and bombarded Neuer's goal, but if the ball didn't go off target Neuer blocked out, no matter what. It looked like the match was going to extra times, until Reus found broke his mark and shot a low ball to Marshall's goal which he wasn't able to get to. The shot had no power, but the low placement made it impossible for the keeper to reach and gave Germany the lead with no time for Scotland to be able to stage a comeback. The referee blew the final whistle shortly after.
                          This match marks the end of Chavez's involvement with the Scottish national team. Scotland will try to keep him to take Scotland through the World Cup Qualifiers, but according to recent statements Chavez has no intention of remaining with the Scotland national team.
                          Well, there it is. My first international job. Hope you enjoyed it. I was positive I could defeat Germany by the way the match was going but this is football. My next update will be the start of Season 4 with AFC Wimbledon. Finally! thanks for reading!
                            Scotland 2 - 0 Spain
                            SCO: Mackay-Steven 45' Didac (OG) 50'
                            The tournament opener for Scotland under new boss Chavez saw perhaps the biggest upset of the European Championship. Scotland got their first shot on goal in the 45th minute which resulted in the goal. 5 minutes after the second half kicked off, Spain goalkeeper Aitor parried a shot which hit nearby defender Didac and the ball went into his own net. Diego Costa looked very disconnected from the rest of the team, and often sent passes to areas far from his teammates. Chavez started off the match with Scotland's usual 4-2-3-1, but changed to his custom 4-1-4-1 at halftime. Scotland played much better after the formation change.
                            Scotland 1 - 2 France
                            FRA: Mangala 19' Ben Yedder 45'
                            SCO: Fleck 45'
                            Once again Scotland scored right before halftime but this time it wasn't enough as France responded instantly after. France dominated the match and prevented Scotland from creating danger. In this match, Chavez started off with his own 4-1-4-1 but changed to 4-2-3-1 as France had perfectly studied his playing style and kept him at bay. Meanwhile, Greece clinched another tournament upset by defeating Spain 1-0. With these results, the #2 spot in the group would be decided in the final match between Scotland and Greece, both with 3 points but Scotland with the goal difference in their favor.
                            Greece 1 - 1 Scotland
                            GRE: Maniatis 17'
                            SCO: Fletcher 45'
                            An outstanding match between two teams battling for the spot to go to the tournament quarterfinals. Greece scored first and were completely on top of the Scottish. Scotland played counter attacking football due to Greece's possession dominance, and again were able to score right before halftime. Fletcher, playing his first game in the tournament after Russell was benched for underperforming at striker, scored the Scot's only goal which might be enough to secure a starting spot. Greece fought back hard and were close to scoring and eliminating Scotland on several occasions. Chavez was frantic at the sidelines shouting directions as the Greek players continues to expose holes in his team. Luckily, after 5 added minutes by the referee, Scotland held the draw and passed the group stage!
                            European Championship - Group D
                            1. France - 9 points (+7)
                            2. *Scotland* - 4 points (+1)
                            3. Greece - 4 points (-2)
                            4. Spain - 0 points (-6)
                            Scotland will now face powerhouse team Germany in the cup quarterfinals. Chavez fielded a 4-3-3 holding last match, and might repeat the same lineup for this match. Germany, along with France, have the most goals so far this tournament with 8 in 3 matches.
                            Spain is the only team in the tournament that was not able to score a single goal.
                              Good performance with Scotland in the Euros. So close to making fairy-tale run too. Looking forward to more and I also have a feeling you may be focusing some youth scouting quite heavily in Scotland!
                                Summer signings: Drey Wright (60, LW) on loan, Tarsi (64, CM) on loan, Benning (59, LB) on loan
                                Summer departures: Just youngsters on loan
                                League 2:
                                Bristol Rovers 2-4 Cheltenham Town
                                It was a perfect start when Steve Elliot thumped home from a corner after just 4 minutes and things got even better when veteran striker Jamie Cureton finished a cross in from the left on his weak foot just 10 minutes later. However, my local rivals responded superbly and pulled a goal back in the 22nd minute through S. Clucas. They kept knocking all the way up until half time but I was able to hold out and take the advantage into the break. The 2nd half was a more dull affair at first, but when my other CB T. Brown got on the scoresheet, I had an unsurpassable 3-1 lead. I added a 4th through substitute Drey Wright who was also making his debut after signing on a season long loan. Rovers got a consolation but it was a perfect start for me, and proved that League 2 isn’t always packed full of drab affairs we might commonly associate with it.
                                Capital 1 Cup:
                                Southend United 1-0 Cheltenham Town
                                Dismal. Just Dismal. Never threatened and that’s that
                                League 2:
                                Cheltenham 2–1 Morecambe
                                Took the lead early but pegged back just after half time. Loan signing Tarsi with the 87th minute winner from 30 yards.
                                Wycombe 1-1 Cheltenham
                                Conceded late on to a controversial to drop the first league points of the campaign.
                                Cheltenham 0–0 Portsmouth
                                A dull home draw but not too disappointed given the calibre of the opposition
                                J. Paint Trophy:
                                Colchester 2–1 Cheltenham
                                My hopes of a cup run were once again diminished. To top It off, former West Ham ‘legend’ got the winner.
                                League 2:
                                Dagenham and Redbridge 1-1 Cheltenham
                                An end to end game ending in a deserved point for both sides. Had some great chances to win it though.
                                So after August the standings are:
                                1) Oxford 12 points
                                2) Plymouth 11 points
                                3) Northampton 11 points
                                4) Portsmouth 10 points
                                5) Cheltenham 9 points
                                6) Southend 9 points
