Guys I'm sorry to say this but I'm just not enthused by my Lille career at the moment. I imagine its just cus the new fifa is out soon cus the career itself is great. Ive got a good squad with some insane players but there is still work to do. I just don't want to play it, but i dont want to leave the hard work that's gone into 5/6 seasons of playing.

My verdict is that im gonna try and sim ahead, applying for jobs from big teams that come up. Unfortunately, even though i have won the UCL, most of them say my credentials aren't good enough but hopefully i can find a new club and continue posting.

If not then i will stop posting for now and return in a few weeks when fifa 15 releases.

Thanks to those who enjoyed reading my updates (if u did?) and if i have some luck there may be another update later showing my new chapter in this awsum career.

The chances are i shall get bored again, but i don't wanna lose all this progress.

I think the activity here has died down a little bit in anticipation of FIFA 15 coming out. I'm actually having to do work now when I'm at work.... I'll never forgive you guys for this!

But I can't wait for 15 to come out so we can get this thread fired up again. Ever since we hit 500 pages it's been a lot quieter.

Ok so i applied for jobs all the way from October to June and didn't get 1 single accepted job. I wasn't asking crazy teams. I won the Ligue 1 title and even that didn't have an impact. I really want a premier league job and Man City, Everton and Arsenal were all miles off of their targets, but they all said no!! :'(

I have got the Ireland job atm though, and the squad is surprisingly good! Just need a club to match to reignite this career.

I will keep searching and just simming all the games, desperately hoping that i can have an offer accepted

Rabbit is still updating, he's just in Vegas like he said. That's basically everyone, Regens isn't updating, right? What happened to Indi's Hannover career? It's been a while since he started it.

So... just the original crew minus Indi is all that is left? By that I mean us four who have been posting for a while now... Chico's Guadalajara, Tex's Depor, Rabbit's Boca and Alcorcon and my Fulham one... it feels like that was years ago.

I know i've been inconsistent with my updates for a while now and that's because my problems with the internet. I'll try to get an update posted tomorrow.

By the way, last year I had a career going which ended in the release of the new FIFA. There's still hope!

For now no, but probably again soon. Trying to find time, as well as a second career. I still enjoy Torquay, but I need to find a second. Ajax... just.. ugh. When I do come back, I'll be posting Torquay and then find a second career. Once I'm SURE the second career can last, say, at least 3 seasons, I'll make posts on it. But I'll be EXTREMELY sure. Now touching on this. I hope I can be considered "One of the originals" for 15, but it may be a problem picking the game up for Next Gen around Christmas. Maybe not. We'll see. That's about all. Also, when I thought I was away from the neck spasms, I get a ruptured ear drum. It doesn't even hurt, just REALLY annoying. Well.. maybe it does start to hurt when it bleeds, but other than that... REALLY annoying. Luckily doesn't bother me when I play Madden, so don't think it'll bother me when I play FIFA. Gonna hit submit now before I accidentally hit tab and backspace again so it deletes this whole thing -_-

Lmfao, I think I came late 200's, not too sure. Obviously, some of you have been around since the beginning of this treasured forum with some tasty stories. Anyways, anyone happen to contact a forum mod yet to see if they can change the title to "How's your FIFA Career Mode Going? Cool Kid Club Only" ? I think the second part is necessary... we all know about those guys on the other forums. Actually I don't, and I have no idea what I'm rambling on about just in one of those moods right now lol

Btw everyone likes to mention my Deportivo career as one of the originals, but I doubt anyone remembers, I actually had a career before that.

Very short lived, only lasted 1 season, and then I realized it was turning into exactly what I don't like to see with just buying high potential players. Then I moved onto Deportivo and really enjoyed that one, but once I started having more success and too big of a budget I moved on from that. I think Morecambe is the right fit since it is such a huge endeavor to climb from League 2 all the way to where you start getting good budgets, so it gets you emotionally invested by that time to where you won't give up.

Anyway, it's a fun trivia question as to which career I had before Deportivo.

On a FIFA related note, looking for a second career right now. I'm really between the Bundesliga, possibly the BPL if I could find the right team, or move a team into one of the two. Or, a super league, which really I wish I could go back and not have my internet cut out when me and Jamie were doing one, because it really was a brilliant idea for more than one person to be working on the same sort of career mode at a time. Which brings me to my next conclusion. I wish EA would let us set up squads and send them out. And team arrangement, so the super league set up would be easier. But for squads, listen to this. I would love for us all to do a career mode with different teams. But the same idea behind the squads. International management. Can you imagine if we all took over international squads as our team squads and went from there? It would definitely have some flaws, but we could work it out. It's possible now, but it's waaaay too much to ask of everyone on this forum to move every single international player to a team, and make the full international team. FOR ABOUT 20 TEAMS. It's hard for me to get 5 done. Imagine a whole forum of 20. Anyways, another minor thing I wish I could change. Career mode is a wonderful thing. A couple minor tweaks, and it's amazing.
