Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

    Pride of Berlin

    February 2016

VfL Stuttgart 1 - 3 Hertha BSC, DFB Pokal Quarter Final
    Stoch 23'
    Matic 73', Bale 105', 109'

Celtic 0 - 2 Hertha BSC, Champions League Round of 16
    Benteke 39', Bale 60'

    Hertha BSC 3 - 0 FC Augsburg
    Kovacic 41', Bale 52', Valencia 67'

    FC Kaiserslautern 1 - 1 Hertha BSC
    Zoller 78'
    Matic 4'

    March 2016

    Hertha BSC 2 - 0 VfL Wolfsburg
    Kovacic 87', Benteke 90' pen

Hertha, the league leaders faced fifth-placed Wolfsburg. Under Ganchev's command the two teams have become big rivals and their meetings are always full of emotions and passion. The Berliners' manager was still banned and he had to watch the game from the stands. The match wasn't easy and both teams had a lot of chances but the keepers were playing well. The first goal happened as late as in the 87th minute when Hugo Lloris in goal parried Benteke's shot. The ball landed right in Kovacic's foot and the young Croatian slotted the ball in under the keeper. Three minutes later Bale got tackled in the box and Benteke put a powerful shot to the net.

Hertha BSC 2 - 0 Celtic (4-0 agg), Champions League Round of 16
    Schär 13', Rojo 49'

    Borussia Möchengladbach 1 - 1 Hertha BSC
    Seferovic 82'
    Benteke 39'

Another game against another rival which ended in a draw. The game was one of the games where Hertha takes the lead and in the end the opponent equalises. Mönchengladbach gave Hertha a tough game and they managed to get a point with a late Seferovic equaliser. Christian Benteke opened the scoring from a corner and Haris Seferovic shot the ball to the net after getting past the defenders.

Eintracht Braunschweig 1 - 0 Hertha BSC, DFB Pokal Semi Final
    Zalazar 72'

A shocking result for the clear favourites in the cup and now they are out! Eintracht Braunschweig, a team from the second division of Germany, was able to reach the cup final after beating last year's champion in the semi finals. Hertha played a weak side for their standarts but it was meant to be enough to beat Braunschweig by at least two goals. The truth was different. Hertha's stars, featuring Gareth Bale, weren't able to break their opponent's defence. The only goal was scored by Zalazar from a header. Hertha pushed forwards but they weren't able to do anything. The game ended in dramatic fashion when Emre Can tried to cross a ball in from the right. The ball hit the defender's arm clearly and it should have been a penalty but the referee didn't do anything. Ganchev had another meltdown in his first game back from his ban and after a couple replays which showed the ball clearly hitting the defenders arm and wrist Ganchev ran to the referee, shouted some probably bad words at him and then the Bulgarian spit on the referee before pushing him. This ended in a ban which consists of the end of the season. Ganchev also received a penalty of €50,000.

Hertha BSC 2 - 0 Sevilla FC, Champions League Quarter Final
    Depay 30', Benteke 42'

    League Table

    1. Hertha BSC, 71 pts
    2. FC Bayern Munich, 60 pts
    3. Borussia Dortmund, 57 pts
    4. FC Schalke 04, 55 pts
    5. VfL Wolfsburg, 47 pts
    6. VfL Stuttgart, 47 pts
    ----------------------------------------
    16. 1899 Hoffenheim, 21 pts (playoff spot)
    17. FC Kaiserslautern, 15 pts
    18. SC Freiburg, 13 pts

    Press Conference

Good afternoon. You are still first in the league but the difference is now eleven points. What happened?

I want to clear out that I'm really happy with us leading the table by a big margin. Now, we haven't been at our best with our finishing and defending. We have been making a lot of mistakes which ended in late goals and in dropped points. It's important to keep the lead until the end and we are working on that in training.

You're also out of the cup. How did that happen?

To be honest, I have no idea. Our players are much better than Braunschweig's and we had eight more shots than they did. We just couldn't get past their football from the 19th century and all they needed was a marking error. Our performance was shameful! I maybe put out our second team but they are good players and some starters, like Bale and Stocker, were starting. I'll still congratulate them for having a wonderful cup run. But don't even mention the referee and his mistakes...

Speaking of the referee, that was your second meltdown in two months. What did you do?

What did I do? The proper question is what that son-of-a-bitch did. I saw the ball hitting the defender's arm from 40 meters away but the referee didn't from maybe five meters. Then he blew the whistle when Mateo (Kovacic) got to the ball. I was really angry at that idiot and he got what he deserved.

Shouldn't you start controlling your emotions better?

I'm sorry for being a human.

Alright, let's move on. You beat Sevilla in the Champions League and you're favourites for the second leg. Will you be able to reach the semi finals?

I hope so. It doesn't depend on me, it depends on the players. If they play well and if they don't fall asleep we will get a win. If they don't concentrate something else can happen. The tough part is that I'll miss the game because someone has his eyes in his *******.

I'll ask one more question about the league. What do you think about probably winning the league in back-to-back seasons?

Probably? We have five games left and they are against Hamburg, Leverkusen, Freiburg, Frankfurt and Bayern. It's impossible to drop over eleven points against those teams which means we'll win it. I'm absolutely sure about that.

Weren't you also sure about winning the cup?

Shut up and get out. The conference is over.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback and suggestions will be appreciated!

I agree. I have no idea what happened in that game. We were attacking, keeping possession and attacking more and then suddenly they scored. But the referee pissed me off the most by not giving us the penalty. It's so wierd because in some games the team plays well and in the next one the same players can't do anything right.

I so want to give away a result! I won't do it, though.

Ok here is a thought for the fantasy football thing. In my opinion it should be limited to just the 1 league (1 country dependent on how many people play) because I highly doubt that we are gonna have more than 20 players competing. Rather than each of us picking teams, why don't we do it on random.org to determine who gets who? That way its not done on a first come first serve basis, where the people away atm will be stuck with lower teams. At least randomly it would be fairer. I think it would also add more rivalry if it was 1 league and would be more fun in general. Games like Aston Villa vs Stoke would be more enjoyable cus ur actually playing against a friends team.

I'm sorry, I was sure I was going to forget someone. I should also appologize for a poor choice of words, I should have said something like "the older guys".

Why don't you start a fun career with let's say Liverpool and keep us updated? Or let's say with... I don't know. I understand if you're not feeling it, though.

Well I just realised I have French and History work to do. Someone, fly to England and kill me. I am going to start one that none of you will be interested in, yet you will still check out. Jk, hopefully you like it but it is one of those things that could swing either way.

So, here is the idea, I was thinking custom squads, and giving myself a sort of limit. So, let's say I'm Newcastle, (my most popular career by far on this forum), I have to have 7 English players, and 1 from each of the other home nations, (Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales). I then have to have at most 10 players from different nations around Europe. (eg. 1 Spanish, 1 French, 1 German etc.) Finally I have 5 more players from the different continents (eg. 1 South American, 1 North American, 1 African, 1 Asian and 1 Oceanian/Australian/Whatever it's called these days) That means I have a squad limit of 25 players, but as many under 21 year olds I would like, but also with limits. I can have 3 youth players (under 21 year olds) from each continent (eg. 1 Brazilan, Uruguayan and Argentinian, 1 Spaniard, French and German etc.) and at least 5 from the home nations. This will give me limits. I hope you guys enjoy, as this will be final career before FIFA 15

                  Also, NAME CHANGE. HUZZAH!

I call for us all to fly to a neutral location, Switzerland? We can then partay all night and put to the test our FIFA skills. I can put in 12 pence towards the flights!

Also in other news, I feel like I can share with you guys. I got an A in my GCSE Science Core a year early!!!!

For you Americans who don't know, GCSE's are important to go to college, which is important to go to university. Core is the first exam, and only top set students are allowed to do it. Now started my final year before college, which means a few less posts as lot's of revision.

I am adding another rule as well, this is to prevent me from going. OK, I'll take Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo etc.

I can only take one player from each team

Well, less of a rule, more of just a good will act

I'm offensive and I find this non-American... or the other way around. I also didn't know what GCSE's are! You racist pig! How dare you forget us representing other nations.... jk, jk. Don't you dare take that seriously!

Congratulations, dude! Keep up the good work, get A's from everything and get a place in a good college!

The grades are still confusing me little bit because here in Finland (that's right, a Bulgarian who lives in Finland) they're from 4 to 10. So, A+ is the best and after that comes A or...?

I'm also in my last year before college. Here we don't need to do CGSE's. We just finish ninth grade, choose five colleges by our liking and that's basically it. We just need to have high enough GPA (like the grades, it's from 4 to ten) to join certain colleges. The minimum GPA for college in the city I live in is about 7.2 and the college with the highest GPA requirement is about 9.2. Some colleges have tests which determine if you get a place. They count just the GPA of the core subjects.

So yeah, the more you know... I'll try to post an update tomorrow, I'm not sure about it, though. I need to finish the month first.

GCSE's work like this. If you get a U, it means upgradeable. That is just the worst you can get. F=Fail. E=Better than F but still a fail. D=Close to a pass but still not enough. C= Pass. B=Merit/Better. A=Awesome. A*= the best

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH this career is sooooooooo annoying. I've scouted some insane Irish players wanting to play with the, but no club will accept me! I almost want to get sacked so i will get offers. I essentially want a team in England, no matter what level. The only teams i would go abroad to are europa league standard but English teams are ideal cus it fits with Ireland. Ive tried for 2 seasons, October to June and no one has accepted. It is kinda fun just simmin and seeing if the squad ive assembled is any good though.

I see, I get it now. And in normal tests (non-GCSE's) there isn't U and you get through with an E? Or is it the same?

I'm not sure about that. We tend to sit exams using GCSE rules. It may be different when you get onto the much harder A-Levels in college
