Capital One Cup
Coventry City 0 - Exeter City 3
EXE - Cummins 10', 45', Reid 47'
In Exeter's first cup tie under Bumosix they secured an easy win over Coventry City. Cummins was the star of the match as he found his way in front of the goal to slot two goals into the net. Reid all but secured the result as he scored his first goal of the season on a great breakaway opportunity down the right side.
Morecambe 1 - Exeter City 1
MOR - Redshaw 55'
EXE - Nicholls 13'
In Bumosix's first return to Morecambe since leaving the club on what most would call unfavorable terms at the end of last season he managed to take just one point away from the match. Mark Hughes and Ryan Williams both played against their old club as well. Alex Nicholls found the net from the left side of the goal to open scoring, but the victory was not to be won as Jack Redshaw equalized for Morecambe in the second half to secure a point for the home squad and ruin Bumosix's hopes of returning and conquering.
Exeter City 4 - Dagenham 1
EXE - Reid 15', Wilson 37', 49' (Pen), 81'
DAG - Porter 39'
Wilson Proved his quality with his first career hat trick. His parent Club Manchester United will surely be pleased to see the young striker excelling. Scoring opened up with Jamie Reid finding the back of the net on his first strike proving again why Bumosix trusts him on the wing. What followed next was Wilson's trio of goals that put the game away for good. Vrabbit's Daggenham managed to pull one back before it was over, but the result was never in doubt. After the match the two managers exchanged praises for each other and Vrabbit wished Bumosix the best with his new club.
Plymouth Argyle 0 - Exeter City 4
EXE - Cummins 12', 89', Reid 45', Nicholls 85'
Alex Nicholls terrorized Exeter's rivals in this Devon derby all match as he played a hand in all 4 goals. The scoring opened as Nicholls raced down the left side and crossed in for an easy tap in by Cummins. He next set up Jamie Reid on a cross that was headed home before knocking in one goal of his own. To wrap it all up he linked up with Cummins once again for the finish with a great set up on the break away.

Exeter City Player of the Month
James Wilson

With 8 goals in his first month with the club, Wilson separated himself from the pack and is the clear choice for the club's Player of the Month award.
Press Conference
Thank you all for coming. This has been quite an eventful month, and I hope that you all have enjoyed it as much as I have. From taking over, to having to return to play Morecambe so soon, it has been quite a ride. We even managed to fit a beat down of that other Devon team in the mix as well. I'd like to open the floor for questions now.
Q: Congratulations on your first month in charge of the club. What would you say was the highlight of your first month in charge?
A: There has certainly been a lot to choose from. I think I would go with the 4-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle though. I knew before even taking this job how much this derby means to Exeter City supporters. I may be new to the club, but I know what a rivalry means. It felt all the more better to win like that on their own pitch. Hopefully I can help to ensure that this rivalry will remain as one-sided in the future as well.
Q: You made your return to Morecambe in only your 3rd match in charge. What were your thoughts and emotions heading into that match? And was it disappointing to come out with only a draw?
A: The welcome I received from the supporters and from my old players certainly had me choked up at the start of the match, but I would be lying if I said I didn't want to come out with anything less than a win. We took an early lead, but we couldn't hold on to it as Jack Redshaw equalized it to ensure both clubs left with 1 point. Peter McGuigan came up to me after the match, but that man isn't worth my time.
Q: Legendary Exeter manager Poulka has recently come out and thrown his support behind you as manager for Exeter City. He believes that you are the right choice to lead this club back onto the path he had them on years ago. How much does having his support mean to you?
A: It's absolutely massive to have the support of such a legendary figure here. Everyone involved with Exeter knows who he is, and looks up to him. He led the club to some glory years, but after he left the shoes were too big to fill and the success was unable to be maintained. I will do my best to try to be worthy of being included in the same sentence as him for those around this club.
*If you all would like to see anything added, removed, or changed from this layout for updates please let me know. All feedback is welcome, I am trying to make as enjoyable of an update as possible for you all. One thing to note is that future updates will include the youth academy as soon as I sign my first prospect.
