Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Playing vs Barca (Alcorcon) winning 1-0 in the 70th minute, paused the game as I see the ball go out of bounds to bring in some subs and it freezes

And the reloaded game has rain

      Liga BBVA Standings

      2. FC Barcelona - 25pts
      3. Valencia CF - 24pts (12 GP)
      4. AD Alcorcon - 24pts
      5. Sevilla FC - 24pts (12 GP)
      6. Villareal CF - 22pts (12 GP)

      ...
      18. Real Zaragoza - 9pts
      19. Real Betis - 4pt
      20. Celta Vigo - 3pts

We continue to establish ourselves as a team to fear in La Liga. We went undefeated this month winning 3 of our 4 games with the only draw coming against Barca (luckily the replay played exactly as the previous game up until the moment it froze), which I'll take after losing to them twice last season. The game against Celta was the first time all season when I truly felt my team was clearly superior than the opponent. Salawu finally scored his first goal and added a second goal in the most recent game. Atletico was annoying since they were pressuring the ball all game long. In the game against Malaga it felt like we should be winning by more but we just weren't getting it done. As you can see Omar Gonzalez is back from injury and being his usual self (though some of his ratings did regress slightly while he was out, but he should bounce back from that). That means Carniello has moved to the bench where I'll be tracking his morale - if he becomes unhappy I might sell him this winter since he really should be starting somewhere and my CB's, when healthy, pretty much play every game. The friendlies were somewhat disappointing since I expected to win both (played the B team vs South Korea) and I may start simming some of those until Copa America comes around.

Besides all of that, I asked the board for $5 million in budget with the promise that I'd qualify for Europa league and they gave me a bit over $4 million. I've been using the GTN to search for some guys I might want to go after in pre-contract, specifically at LB where Traore has pretty much peaked and is actually starting to regress a bit. Right now I'm looking at Nicola Lancini from Brescia and Nacho from Rayo Vallecano although Lancini is 5 years younger and thus probably my preferred choice at this point. I just relocated the scouts to go to Portugal and England to see what else they find.

As far as the academy is concern our 5-star scout came back with his second report from Venezuela and we signed a couple of his suggestions. Here's the youth squad at the moment:

      - Andre Meirelles (CM, 65-69, 87-93): 17 Y/O from Brazil is a great prospect without who wouldn't have a role with the team at the moment. Likely to be promoted this season and listed for loan.
      - Adam Lee (CDM, 56-60, 73-79): 17 Y/O from England who will probably never play for the team, will soon be brought up and sold as he's not likely to progress much more in the academy.
      - Markus Goretzka (CB, 56-60, 73-79): 17 Y/O from Germany is probably on the same boat as Lee though there's a small chance he may stay in the academy for the rest of the season.
      - Lansana Afrani (LB, 62-66, 87-93): 16 Y/O from Cameroon would have a much quicker chance to make an immediate impact if he had the pace to play fullback. His ratings suggest he'll fit best at CB.
      - Kyle Buwalda (LW, 55-59 76-82): 16 Y/O from the Netherlands needs to stay in the academy all season, likely to be a loan candidate when promoted.
      - Jens Stevens (LM, 54-58, 73-79): The now 16 Y/O from Netherlands is still being developed.
      - Bart Gorter (CAM, 64-68, 86-92): 16 Y/O from Netherlands labeled as a playmaker is an exciting prospect.
      - Joey Hoesen (LW, 54-58, 71-75): 15 Y/O from Netherlands whose potential is lower than we anticipated.
      - Samuel Amodako (LM/LW, 53-57, 70-74): 16 Y/O from Cameroon is still being developed.
      - Jomar Mayat (LW 52-56, 72-76): 16 Y/O from Cameroon who we're hoping to develop as a striker.
      - Javier Marquez (CB, 43-55, 78-94): 16 Y/O from Venezuela has been better than anticipated so far and is already settled at a position.
      - Ivan Contreras (DEF/MID, 40-52, 68-92)*: 16 Y/O from Venezuela will be either a CB or CDM.
      - Victor Jimenez (DEF/MID, 37-49, 69-93)*: 15 Y/O from Venezuela has the makings of a CB, though we hope he'll grow a bit as he's only 5'11.
      * Denotes recent addition to the Y.A.

As mentioned in the last update Juan Morientes (CAM/CF, 69 OVR, has potential to be special) was promoted to the senior squad and he actually made his debut in our last game as a sub.

And that's it for this update. Real just lost their week 12 matchup vs Real Sociedad which means we have a chance to pass them in the standings, though it's unlikely we'll be able to take the top spot as Barcelona hosts Celta and they're likely to win. Just 3 league games in November, one of them against Real Madrid, plus our first Copa del Rey game of the season against Real Murcia (there are also 2 friendlies which will likely be summed).

Do you guys think I can keep this up?

Yeah the Barca game was funny. They played so badly but so did I :/ I don't have that spark to create a piece of magic like o have done at previous clubs. Winning at Castilla was great, and it is pretty cool how we're both in la liga, and virtually right next to each other in the table.

Sorry you can't see the stuff. Could you see it before when it was red? Just thought id mix it up thats all

I have never been to that disneyland, The only Disneyland ive been to is in Paris because its about one day of driving, I think the difference is that our Disneyland is more build towards the shows and stuff, The rides in america are better right?

For the first games I was the starter, hope it continues, but with Giroud, Dzeko, and me, I doubt it'll continue. I was called up to England for the two games against Northern Ireland and Turkey, but was in the reserves for the Northern Ireland one. In the second, we're running a 4-4-2 with me and Rooney up front.

                Press Conference

Q: Another unbeaten month for you and you closed the gap to 2nd a little more while still having that game in hand. You have to be happy with how your team has been playing lately. Do you think you will be able to carry this on down the final two months of the season?

A: We are currently playing the best football this team has played since I came on to manage this club. I think it is more than just a streak, this is what we are truly capable of playing at consistently. Things are finally starting to come together right, and I have no doubt that this form can continue through the end of the season.

Q: You are now through to the quarter finals of the F.A. cup with a win over Sunderland. You have drawn Norwich as your next opponent. Is this a game you believe you should win?

A: We have played several quality opponents in these competitions before and we have put in many great performances. Norwich may not be seen as a big name to many people, but they are still a Premier League team and that is something you can't overlook. We will go in and try to play our attacking style of football, and if we can dictate the game I feel that we have a great chance to move on to the semis.

Q: Since you are sitting in third only a few points behind second, it looks like you will either earn automatic promotion, or will have a chance through the playoffs. Is this team ready for Premier League play?

A: I think these players are excited about the idea of the Premier League, and while I try to keep the focus on the current situation, I would be lying if I said the players don't think about it. They are all eager to prove that they belong in the greatest league in the world. I hope that we keep our focus and play our game so that they get that chance.

Report: Nottingham Forest to Announce their New Manager

                  June 21st
After the resignation of Billy Davis on the 17 of May. The East Midlands club have been rumoured to have found a new manager. Sky Sources understand that Forest have approached promising young manager Jake Gaspar of Australia who was recently the Chelsea's under 21 coach. After winning the youth FA Cup Gaspar was looked at by many clubs in the country and in Europe. After the FA Cup win he stated that he would like to be a team manager causing many clubs to be interested. Moving to London when he was 20 he has been moving up the ranks of many clubs including Millwall, Brentford, and Chelsea. Chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi has organised a press conference later today and Sky believe that this is announce the new manager. Al-Hasawi rumoured to have force the resignation of Davis after they disagreed on where the club was heading caused a lot of stir at the City Ground.

Breaking from Nottingham at the City Ground

Fawaz Al-Hasawi: Hello welcome to this press conference. Today we a proud to announce our new manager Jake Gaspar.

                  Myself: Hello everyone.

Sky: So how do you feel to be the new Forest Manager?

Myself: It's a dream. Since I have been 16 and when my playing career was up due to injuries I always wanted to manage a major club. I risked everything at home in Australia and moved to London to pursue my dream and I am really happy to be at this successful club

BBC: You just mention this is a successful club. What success will you bring to the club.

Myself: I want to do what Brian Clough did. Win Trophies! This club has had not had much success in recent history and I want to change this.

Nottingham Post: The team have signed 9 players already. Thoughts?

Myself: I made the decision for most of these signings. 4 of these players we signed as free agents and they have a lot to prove. the other 5 I think are great additions to the club and I think we can push for promotion with them. However, I think we need a few more.

Sky: Finally we here that the their is a vanacy in the captain spot. Who will be your captain?

Myself: Danny Collins stood down at the end of last season and I fully support his decision. He'll still be a strong leader within the group. I have appointed Chris Cohen as our captain. He is the longest serving player in the squad and shows great leadership qualities. Andy (Ried), Kelvin (Wilson) aswell as Danny will be in our leadership squad.

Myself: Thats all the time I have today. Again thanks for coming.

                  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I got bored of FIFA 15 so I'm deciding to finish FIFA 14 career mode with Nottingham Forest

Q: The unbeaten streak ended, but you have officially moved into 2nd in hopes of earning automatic promotion. With 8 league games left to play over the last month, will you be able to hold onto this position?

A: The last few months we had been closing that gap a little bit at a time, and now we have pushed it to a 4 point difference in our favor. I have no doubts that we can keep this up for 1 more month. Anything else would be a massive disappointment.

Q: Congratulations on beating Norwich and advancing to the semi-finals in the F.A. Cup. You have drawn the London giants, Arsenal. What do you think your chances are against a club that is constantly fighting at the top of the Premier League?

A: Arsenal is certainly no club to be taken lightly. To win it will take our best performance, combined with a little luck, but it isn't impossible. We will prepare hard for this match and we will be ready once we step on the pitch.

Q: After a relatively injury free season, a major one has finally hit. George Humphreys will miss the rest of the season with a broken ankle. That leaves you a little short at the 10, what are your plans to adjust to his absence?

A: Humphreys going down is very unfortunate. He was a young player having a great season and he was developing as a player every game. Tom Lawrence will see the most time at the 10 now, with other players such as Raul Pessao or Nadir Ciftci capable of playing minutes there as well.

Morecambe F.C. Downs Arsenal to Advance to F.A. Cup Final

Morecambe came into the match against the heavy favorites, Arsenal, with something to prove. And prove they did. In a thrilling 2-1 victory over Arsenal they have now earned themselves a place in the F.A. Cup Final. Things looked to be started off on the wrong foot as Theo Walcott opened the scoring for Arsenal and everyone assumed more was to come. However, Morecambe was able to regroup and earned the equalizer with star man Nadir Ciftci's goal. The teams looked to be evenly matched from there out, until Michael Ngoo found himself with the ball in position to score. He slotted the ball past the keeper and moved his team into the final with the 2-1 victory.

Morecambe will be facing Liverpool in the final after they beat Aston Villa to advance. This is an exciting result for Morecambe as it has now guaranteed that they will be playing European football for the first time in club history as Liverpool are currently sitting 3rd in the premier league. This could be a dream season for Morecambe if they can complete their promotion push. A club that only 4 years ago was in the bottom tier of the English Football League, now has a chance to be playing in the Premier League as well as the Europa League.

With a chance to still accomplish more this season, we will see how manager, Tex Bumosix, leads his club through the last few matches of the season. Will there be another trophy to add? Will they be a Premier League club next season? These questions are only a matter of weeks away from being answered.

Hmm. It's gotten quiet. I may have to make some noise. So, as you know I've starting Welcoming Welbeck. That probably won't work. When you have to sim 7/8 games, it's not pretty. I'll find another player to do, it may take some time. Torquay seems dead, don't really want to do it all that much, maybe a RTG is more for FIFA 15, which, I won't get till NG, so I have some time. I haven't seen Moose in a while, so maybe West Ham is an option. Another option is a West Brom. Sort of a lower PL team that has some pieces to work with. Maybe even a decent amount of money I can make some signings like West Ham has. I'll have some time to think about this while football is on, not gonna lie, a bit of a dud for SNF, CHI v SF. Chicago's defense isn't good this year, but anyways, that's completely off topic, even the wrong sport lmfao. I'll give you the striker I plan to bring in... MOOOOOOOOOOOORAAAAATAAAAAA. Yeah. Lol. Not too many people use him that I know, and that'll be the theme for this career. Try to use players that aren't majoritized. Is that a word? Don't think so. Starting a trend. Morata possible striker pair with Carroll if its West Ham, maybe play him with wingers if West Brom, or another team, have to find out. Stay tuned.

Morata is a beast. I had him for a season in my Deportivo career and he has a great all around game. Surprised that not many prople get him cause he turns in to a pretty damn good player. Definitely a good striker for you to build around. Looking forward to it!

                            Press Conference

Q: Congratulations on a great season and earning promotion to the Premier League. It is truly a remarkable story of what you have been able to accomplish since taking over at this club. What are your feelings about this wonder season?

A: It is absolutely amazing to see what this group of players has accomplished. I came to this club just 4 years ago and accepted my first head manager position. No one could have ever guessed it would have turned into this. I have all the appreciation in the world for all of the players who have put the hard work into getting this club here. I told the players to celebrate this accomplishment, and to reflect on how much they have accomplished over the past few seasons. The real work starts now, and we need to show that we belong in the greatest league in the world.

Q: In one of the most thrilling F.A. Cup finals in recent history, you were able to defeat heavy favorites Liverpool with a 120th minute goal. How were you able to defy the odds and take home your first major trophy for Morecambe F.C.?

A: That game had to have taken a couple years off of my life. Liverpool are a great club and their quality became apparent early on as they took the lead in the first half. We went into halftime on our heels, but I told the players that they earned their spot in this final, and that they belonged here. We just needed to show everyone else that this was our stage too. The second half we were able to fight with Liverpool blow for blow and eventually force extra time with a goal. The goal from Gyau left me speechless. It reminded me of Cristian Restrepo's goal in the J. Paint Trophy final a couple years ago where he won it in the 120th minute. The players have stepped up and shined in big moments, and I am truly blessed to be the manager here.

Q: With the win in the F.A. Cup final you have qualified this club for European football for the first time ever. This is a huge accomplishment, but it will also add fixtures to your schedule while having to deal with the Premier League now as well. Do you think Morecambe will be able to handle these challenged this next season?

A: It is a great accomplishment to play in Europe next season. The players are certainly excited to prove themselves on such a big stage. It will be a huge challenge to balance a Premier League fixture schedule combined with a European schedule, but it is a challenge that I look forward to, and hope that it will be one that I will have to deal with for years to come.

                                Squad Review

                                Starting XI

GK: Thomas Kraft, 27 Years Old, 81 Ovr, 9/10
27 clean sheets in 45 games

Fifty per cent of the starting players who were in the team before Ganchev took over. The German keeper has been Hertha's number one for many years now and it looks like he won't lose that position. Hertha's vice-captain is quick off the mark, his positioning is good and his reflexes are great. That combined with a good defence lead to him getting a clean sheet in about every two games. Made a few non-crucial mistakes but his saves overshine them. Will keep his spot.

RB: Sebastian Jung, 26 Years Old, 80 Ovr, 7/10
                                1 assist in 41 games

Hertha's first choice right back isn't a player who shines much. Jung is often caught off-position and he has difficulties with catching up with fast wingers. The German is alright defensively and bad offensively. Needs to add more assists to his name. Future unsure.

CB: Matthias Ginter, 22 Years Old, 82 Ovr, 9/10
2 goals and 4 assists in 40 games

Hertha is a strong team defensively and Matthias Ginter is part of the reason. He's got average pace but it doesn't matter because of his positioning and heading. The young German is strong and good in the air and his partnership with Fabian Schär is really important. Scored a few, as well. Won't lose his spot.

CB: Fabian Schär, 24 Years Old, 84 Ovr, 10/10
4 goals and 1 assist in 39 games

Fabian Schär is in the eyes of many the most important defender of the team. The Swiss international has shined since joining from Basel and he won't stop that any time soon. At only 24 years of age, Schär read the game amazingly and he defends really well. He's fast, strong, good tackler and good in the air, basically the perfect centre back. It could be seen that Hertha struggled defensively always, when the Swiss star wasn't on the field. Keeping his spot.

LB: Marcos Rojo, 26 Years Old, 81 Ovr, 7.5/10
                                5 goals in 43 games

This Argentine centreback-converted-to-leftback had a controversial season. He started the season well after a succesful spell when he joined. After that he became sloppy and inconsistent. He tackled poorly, he marked badly and his lack of pace was in an important role against some teams. He also wasn't confincing offensively. Hopefully he'll improve. Future insecure.

CDM: Nemanja Matic, 27 Years Old, 82 Ovr, 9/10
                                2 goals in 16 games

Ganchev's winter signing did everything he was meant to do: improve the defence. The Serbian midfielder had an important role as the only holding player and he did his job greatly. He tackled, intercepted, passed and moved greatly. He also scored two important goals. Only negative is that he slightly lacks pace but he hasn't needed it. Will keep his spot.

RM: Gareth Bale, 26 Years Old, 91 Ovr, 8.5/10
8 goals and 4 assists in 19 games

Another winter signing who was signed with help from Eden Hazard. The Welsh superstar started his career in Berlin like a dream but after a month he started having a tough run in which he wasn't able to score. Bale is still fast, good at dribbling and he has a powerful shot. If he can reach the hights which followed his arrival he will be unstoppable. Won't lose his spot.

CM: Valentin Stocker, 27 Years Old, 84 Ovr, 8.5/10
5 goals and 6 assists in 46 games

The captain is another player who wasn't able to reach the glory of the previous season by getting only 5 goals and 6 assists in over 40 games. Those stats aren't great but the Swiss player was much more important than the stats show. He attacked a lot, created space, passed the ball well and he defended well. Won't get replaced.

CM: Mateo Kovacic, 22 Years Old, 85 Ovr, 8.5/10
14 goals and 12 assists in 44 games

Hertha's second attacking midfielder who also didn't have a great season. The midfielder improved a lot and his passing and dribbling was great but he didn't grab that much goals and assists. The young man still had a good season and he was an important piece of the puzzle. Really talented for his age. Will keep his spot.

LM: Memphis Depay, 22 Years Old, 79 Ovr, 8/10
8 goals and 3 assists in 39 games.

This season the Dutch winger improved a bit and he's still a good player, but he was missing something. Maybe it was the injury midseason or him losing the ball in the attacking third couple of times but he didn't have a great season. Hopefully we can fulfill his potential next season. Won't get replaced but might get benched.

ST: Christian Benteke, 25 Years Old, 85 Ovr, 8/10
8 goals and 4 assists in 19 games

The young Belgian star striker had an okay half a year. Pierre-Michel Lasogga's replacement played well and he got a goal in about every three games but the Belgian didn't look that good. Yes, he was strong, fast and great in the air but he felt sluggish. He dribbled badly and he wasn't able to get many attempts on goal. Won't get replaced.

                                Notable Substitutes

ST: Enner Valencia, 27 Years Old, 74 Ovr, 6.5/10
                                5 goals in 18 games

After a really succesful season as a supersub the Ecuadorian was unable to show his quality again. He didn't play that many games, though, but the striker still got a couple goals. Is unhappy and has requested to be transferred. Will get sold if a good offer comes in.

LW: Divock Origi, 21 Years Old, 80 Ovr, 7/10
5 goals and 6 assists in 37 games

This youngster had a chance to step up when Depay was injured and he failed in that. Basically all the Belgian did was run down the wing using his great pace and swing in a cross or a shot. Has potential in him and is young, a good sub. Won't get sold.

CAM: Maximilian Meyer, 20 Years Old, 78 Ovr, 6.5/10
2 goals and 1 assist in 22 games

The young German midfielder didn't get many chances this season and a lot of his appearances came as a late substitution. When he played he did well. He managed to get two goals and an assist. Fast and agile, good ball control. Won't get sold.

CB: Robin Knoche, 24 Years Old, 80 Ovr, 6/10
                                19 games

Our third-choice centre back. Didn't play that much. Got nineteen starts and wasn't that good but he'll stay on the bench. Won't lose his place. Probably.

CM: Ander Herrera, 26 Years Old, 83 Ovr, 7/10
3 goals and 4 assists in 22 games

Hertha's only Spaniard who was bought in the summer for squad depth. Herrera got most of his appearances as a substitute and he was good in those games but not as good as Kovacic and Stocker. Will continue to sit on the bench unless a good offer comes in.

ST: Josip Drmic, 23 Years Old, 80 Ovr, 6/10
8 goals and 2 assists in 11 games

Hertha's third-choice striker was the Swiss-Albanian Josip Drmic. The young attacker played 11 games and he scored in almost every one of them but 6 of his goals were from simulated games. He's got good stats but he doesn't play as good as he should. Will get sold for a good price.

CDM: Daley Blind, 26 Years Old, 5/10
1 goal and 2 assists in 24 games

Ganchev's starting defencive midfielder for the first half of the season because of lack of players for that position. The Dutch man was really poor. He lost the ball often, didn't pass well and he attacked way too much. Will get sold.

So yeah, that's the season. Thank you for reading it! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback and suggestions will be appreciated! Sorry for the delay.
