I think it will be a tough road because they lost their 3 best players IMO. With Courtois going back to Chelsea, selling Diego Costa to Chelsea, and they lost the other Diego to a Turkish club if I remember correctly.

They replaced Costa with Mandzukic, and they also bought two excellent attacking players in Alessio Cerci and Antoine Griezmann. They've retained three of their four title-winning defenders, as well as their most important players in Koke and Gabi, and they have enough cash to splurge on a world-class left back and goalkeeper. It's an excellent choice, bit easy actually IMO.

As much as I am enjoying my MUFC career i am finding that it is becoming too easy and I want some sort of a challenge! So I am going to put it on hold and come back to it later. For now I am going to do either a Swansea, Leicester or Crystal Palace career but I want you guys to decide! The reason I am finding it easy is because i am always winning and i just bought players like Gotzë. I will check results tomorrow (Australia Time)

                      FIFA 15

                      September 2014

Preview: West Brom to face Oldham in opening cup tie

One month into Indi Blue's reign, the opening three league games have yielded six points, giving West Brom supporters a tinge of hope that the days of battling relegation could possibly be a thing of the past. Megabucks Chelsea they may not be, but it seems that Indi's confidence has rubbed off on the squad, giving West Brom and its fans a sense of stability.

Now, the Baggies travel north to face Oldham Athletic in the third round of this year's Capital One Cup, and they will be wary. Oldham sit comfortably in third position in their division, and not without reason. Star forward Dominic Poleon is in excellent form, having netted several times for the Latics thus far, including four strikes in previous rounds of this tournament.

For West Brom, it is likely that Indi will field a mixture of youth and experience. Kemar Roofe is in line to make his competitive debut with the first team, while on-loan defender Nathan Ake has been confirmed to line up beside Craig Dawson in the back four. Among the other players finding game time this week is Saido Berahino, who wins his first start of the season.

With the Baggies defence as penetrable as it has been, one might fancy Oldham to come away winners. While it's likely that a clean sheet isn't on the cards for the visitors, there is little doubt that their firepower up top will be enough to secure progression to round four.

                      COC: Oldham 3-5 West Brom

As predicted, it rained goals in the northwest of England when Oldham hosted West Brom in the Capital One Cup. Stephane Sessegnon opened the scoring, and Kemar Roofe was brought down in the box soon after. Chris Brunt dispatched the spot kick with ease, before Saido Berahino latched onto a through ball and made it 3-0 before halftime. After the break, Jonathan Forte capitalised on a mistake from Boaz Myhill to net for the hosts, but the visitors went 4-1 up when Sessegnon beat three men and curled a shot in from the edge of the box. In-form striker Dominic Poleon scored twice for the hosts between minutes 70 and 80, giving them hope, before Brunt scored a second from distance to seal the win.

Indi: We played quite well today, given the fact that some of these lads are playing their first games of the season. Plenty of work left in defense, but we can't expect things to change overnight. I'm just glad we have the firepower to outscore our opponents at this time.

                      EPL: West Brom 2-3 Burnley

West Brom returned to league action following an exciting win over Oldham in the league cup, but they continued their poor home form with a loss to newly-promoted Burnley. Two goals from Sam Vokes put the visitors 2-0 up within 15 minutes, before Chris Brunt pulled one back for the Baggies. Lukas Jutkiewicz latched onto a cross from Kieran Trippier to make it 3-1 to the visitors shortly after the break, and a goal from Brown Ideye was not enough to stop West Brom from succumbing to yet another home league defeat.

Indi: I really don't know what to say. It's like the pressure of playing at home and making our fans happy is too much for us to handle. I can't pinpoint where we really went wrong, so perhaps Burnley were simply better and more motivated than we were. Credit to them, they didn't stop even when they were 3-1 up, but our defending finally clicked in the last 30.

                      EPL: Tottenham 2-6 West Brom

Virtually everyone expected West Brom to roll over and die after the shock loss to Burnley, but they responded in fine form, humiliating Spurs at their own ground. A brace from Stephane Sessegnon, as well as goals from Brown Ideye and Chris Brunt, saw the Baggies go into the break 4-0 up. Silvestre Varela came on in the second half to score the vistors' fifth, before Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado scored within minutes of each other. Ideye managed a second goal in injury time to take his season total to five goals.

Indi: You always want to respond to a loss with a win, but I never imagined that we'd be able to win like this at White Hart Lane. Honestly, I feel quite bad for the Spurs supporters; nobody likes to see their team concede six. We did well today and should keep this momentum.

Morrison to miss October with ankle sprain

James Morrison has been ruled out of all of West Brom's fixtures in October after picking up a sprained ankle in the dying minutes of their 6-2 win at Tottenham. The Scotland international has proven to be a vital component in the Baggies midfield, will miss key games against Liverpool and Manchester United, and will likely return against Leicester City.

                      October 2014

Preview: Deadly month awaits seesaw Baggies

West Bromwich Albion face a difficult test in October with fixtures against Liverpool, Manchester United, and Everton coming one after another. They also play Crystal Palace, as well as Stoke City in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup. Given the up-and-down form over the past few months, supporters of the club will find themselves worrying.

Not many will fancy the Baggies against Liverpool and Manchester United, two of the form teams in the division. They ought to compete well against a struggling Everton side and pick up three points, but one can't be sure given the rickety home form they've endured thus far. The key for the Baggies will be the midfield pivot of Youssouf Mulumbu and Claudio Yacob, who has been given his chance following James Morrison's ankle injury. If these two can combine well and break up opposition play, West Brom have the skill and pace to break.

                      EPL: Liverpool 2-2 West Brom

Brown Ideye scored the opener for West Brom at Anfield, but Lucas Leiva managed to equalise just before the halftime whistle with a close-range effort. Soon after the break, Mario Balotelli slalomed through the West Brom defence like a hot knife through butter, and curled in an unstoppable shot. Ideye then equalised for the visitors, who managed to hold on for a crucial away point against a team that seems to be losing its early steam.

Indi: We did very well to come away with a draw against one of this division's top sides. Given the fact that Liverpool managed to dominate large portions of the game, we broke well and with purpose, and scored on two of those occasions. I'd like to see a bit more of today's urgency in our future games, especially from our midfield, who were excellent.

EPL: West Brom 1-2 Man. United

They say the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story, and it couldn't be truer than with this game. After holding on against wave after wave of United's attack, West Brom finally got the opening goal with 65 minutes gone when Brown Ideye latched onto a pinpoint cross from Chris Brunt, heading it past a helpless David de Gea. Unfortunately, a brace from one Robin van Persie was enough to secure a win for the away team. West Brom will feel aggrieved after the loss, especially since both goals were scored on the back of what ought to have been called as fouls on the Dutch forward, who seemed to play with immunity and impunity.

Indi: I don't know what to say. The referee obviously took the day off in the last 20 minutes, because there's no way that none of the officials spotted those fouls from their player. We fought tooth and nail today, and I think we have every right to feel like we've been let down by the administration. These things happen, we keep saying, but that doesn't make it okay.

                      Lescott out with ligament damage

West Brom were dealt a further blow following their defeat to Manchester United, as scans have ruled Joleon Lescott out for four months due to a tear in his medial collateral ligament. The Englishman went down after being tackled by Robin van Persie, who escaped punishment and scored on the back of the challenge, and Indi Blue was least pleased.

"It's a shame for Joleon," said the West Brom boss. "I can't believe that the officials missed such a blatant infraction, and it's been compounded by an injury that will take months off this lad's career. Joleon is a strong man, and he'll come back from this injury eager to return to this best form. The club will give him whatever support is required during recovery."

Meanwhile, his counterpart Louis van Gaal was typically ambivalent about the matter. "It's not a challenge that I happened to see, because I was more focused on making the most of having recovered possession in such a dangerous area. I'm quite sorry to hear that their player was injured, but it's a pity that they are trying to shift the blame to us and the referee."

                      EPL: West Brom 1-1 Everton

Yet again, West Brom will leave their own stadium feeling that there ought to have been a very different result. Romelu Lukaku was booked early in the game for a rash tackle on Chris Brunt, who made use of the following advantage to cut in and score past Tim Howard. The Belgian was booked a second time in the second half, when he made a similar lunge against Saido Berahino. Roberto Martinez answered by bringing on Samuel Eto'o and Gareth Barry, but there was a Lukaku-sized gap in the Everton back four. Howard saved shot after shot as Silvestre Varela and Berahino combined to outfox the Toffees defenders time and again. With 86 minutes gone, Craig Dawson was wrongly called for a foul in the box, when instead Samuel Eto'o ought to have been booked for simulation. Everton were given a penalty, and Leighton Baines duly scored. West Brom continue the search for a home win.

Indi: I really am at a loss for words. It's two games in a row now that poor officiating has cost us points, and you can't reasonably expect us to remain satisfied or keep quiet. We'll be filing an appeal with the FA, because we really did not deserve what happened today. To pour your hearts out on the pitch while it's pelting down a thunderstorm is not easy, but my boys were the real champions out there today. I hope our next game is a much fairer contest.

EPL: West Brom 2-1 Crystal Palace

The quest for a home win was finally achieved, with West Brom coming away with the points against a struggling Crystal Palace. Claudio Yacob repaid his manager's faith by scoring a tap-in, before Sebastien Pocognoli scored his first in a Baggies shirt to give his side the advantage. A last-gasp header by Brede Hangeland gave Palace a consolation, but it made no difference to the home side, whose faces were ones of pure relief at the final whistle.

Indi: It feels like a big weight has been lifted off our shoulders. We shouldn't have taken this long to win at home, but all that matters is we've got the momentum on our side now. You could tell the fans were thrilled, the way they roared at the final whistle. I've never heard a stadium that loud since Manchester United won the Champions League in 1999.

                      COC: West Brom 2-1 Stoke

It seems momentum truly is with the Baggies, as they ran off with a routine win over Stoke to make the final 16 of the league cup. Despite loanee Victor Moses opening for the visitors, the hosts showed great strength of character, bouncing back with second-half goals by Silvestre Varela and Brown Ideye. West Brom now face Crystal Palace in a round of 16 tie.

Indi: It's pleasing to win at home twice. I don't want to keep talking about how it ought to have been four in a row. Holding on to the past will only stop you from enjoying the present and preparing for the future, which is what we need to do now that we've progressed.

Indi Blue presser full of positivity

When a manager's team finally clicks, you notice striking changes in his behaviour and expressions. West Brom have finally picked up their first home wins of the season, and Indi Blue was quite chirpy at a recent press conference, where he spoke on a number of topics, ranging from tactics and injuries to silverware and the future. Below are some excerpts.

You must be pleased with how the season is going.

How could I not be? We sit in the top half of the table with 14 points from 9 games, Brown Ideye is the league's top scorer with 8 goals, and we've progressed to the final 16 of the Capital One Cup while avoiding a draw against a team like Chelsea or Manchester City.

You've gone back to your 4-2-3-1. Was the diamond midfield a one-off then?

It's definitely an option, but we haven't seen the need for it. Having a two-man pivot allows us to break up play earlier and more accurately, counter-attack with more ferocity, and see out periods of opposition attack without too much worry about our back line breaking apart.

Victor Anichebe has found chances rare this season. Any reason for that?

Victor is a model professional. He trains very well, looks after himself in terms of diet and exercise, and he's never once complained about a lack of playing time. The thing is, Brown Ideye is in such good form that I can't realistically place him on the bench. Even in the games where he hasn't scored, his movement and passing have been excellent. He is so much deeper as a player than people give him credit for. And then there's Saido Berahino, who has three goals in five substitute appearances so far. Unfortunately for Victor, he's going to have to wait for a chance, until one of these two is unable to play or does poorly.

Is there a possibility of him leaving the club?

Honestly, I don't see it happening, but we won't stand in the way if he decides he wants to.

You already beat Crystal Palace once. Do you fancy your chances for a second win?

I would be lying if I said 'no', but that doesn't mean we're going to expect a stroll in the park. Cup games are notoriously difficult, especially once you get to this stage. We'll be giving Palace the respect they deserve, and there's no chance of us losing due to complacence.

What about your chances of winning the trophy outright?

It'd be amazing to grab silverware in my first campaign as a manager, but I'm realistic. Even if we beat Palace, we need to get through two more rounds before we even have a 50% shot at the cup, at which point we'll probably be up against one of the best teams in England. Let's not forget that this team is a work in progress, so any titles are a bonus for us.

Joleon Lescott is out until at least mid-January. Do you reckon you can hold on?

We should be fine. Craig Dawson and Nathan Ake are capable at this level, as they've shown in the past two games. If they're not up to the mark, Claudio Yacob is an adept centre half when he's asked to be, so we have options should we need to exercise them.

Speaking of Joleon, you won two home games once he got injured. Is this a reason?

I doubt it. We beat Tottenham by a big margin with him in the side, and he also played a major part in our only clean sheet of the season. Joleon was brought in because of several factors, not least of which is his non-reliance on pace as a component of his game.

Any plans for the transfer window?

As mentioned earlier, I have no plans to release any of my players unless they ask me to do so. I don't want to make any further comment on this subject at the moment, thank you.

Ironically, I'm only doing this because I'm kind of bored of just listing the scorers. Match reports seem more interesting to me, plus I like to bring something new to each of my careers.

I'm thinking the posts are a bit long, so I'm going to be changing the format a bit. I'll list the scorers, but limit myself to 80-word match reports like Ceefax used to do. That way, people who just want the details without reading it all can do that, and people who do read it won't need to spend so much time.

Disappointing defeat in a 50 - 50 game with impressive display from Ben Arfa. After a great start Stoke were rocked by an early injury to Diouf who is now out for 2 months

A strong performance from the B team and a good goal by Campbell on his debut.

                              Overview
A decent start to the campaign with some great home form and new signings Stones, Manu Trigueros, Cork and Unal starting well for the team.
Poor away form needs to be improved so work on tactics is needed.
Looks like I have the makings of a striker injury crisis with both Diouf and Unal injured for my next few games so its up to Campbell to step up to the plate.
Also rocked by the news that Begovic wants to leave in January. With Butland out on loan fingers crossed I can hang on to him.
