Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Right guys i have some news to unveil...
As you may or may not recall, this month i was planning to buy an xbox one, and have therefore limited myself to a rather small project in terms of a career with tottenham. The plan was to get the one, start a career with a lower BPL team e.g. Southampton and work them up. Then i would do a league 2 career.
However, as of this past weekend, my car broke down. I mean properly and the cost is expected to be in excess of 500 pounds. As you can imagine this takes priority over the new xbox, so the one will have to wait potentially until christmas.
So what im gonna do is do a league 2 career right here right now on the 360 as its something i really wanna do looking at all the fun some of u guys seem to be having doing it.
I am yet to start the career, but have a couple of hours this evening to select the team and advance through. The first update may be out later, but if not tomorrow. Really pissed about the car but at least the big project can commence on the 360. The Surs career will still be kept as its good fun, but the league 2 career will take precedence.
Hope you guys enjoy!!Comment

I am excited to hear about your career for a league 2 team though. Can't wait to see which club you choose. Do you have a short list you are thinking over right now, or have you already chosen?Comment

Sorry to hear about your car, hope you can get it all sorted out without any added costs to what you are already expecting.

Good luck with the car. Car problems are always terrible but even worse when the money was initially intended for something else. Hope you can get it fixed with no further issues and in the meantime, really looking forward to seeing which League 2 team you chose!Comment

Not two M's*
That's really disrespectful! I always remember your name correctly *sniff* I can't take this anymore! It's S-I-M-P-P-U! Call me one more time Simmpu, I dare you, I double dare you.
In all seriousness, it doesn't really matter. I actually laughed to the Simba12, nicely done.
Don't know where I got the U's from thanks for correcting lol
Dude I'm sorry! Hahaha don't know why I've always mixed up the letters on your name. This makes me wonder, what do the two P's in your name mean anyway? Lol if you don't mind sharing of course.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
yeah Shrewsbury is my choice. They have a reasonable team with a few 60+ players that aren't too old. However their defence needs a lot of work which will make it a challenge at the same time. Can't wait to get to started and post the first update on here for you guys to look at!!

Looks like their keeper, Callum Burton, has tons of potential that could be a good player to put out on loan for a season or two, but could be great for you in the future.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Wow just looked at their squad, they have several players with really good potential for League 2. They have 6 players with 70+ potential compared to my Exeter team that started with 1, haha.

And you're right, Burton does look like a beast for the future. Update hopefully coming soon, including a couple of incredible signings in my eyesComment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
None of the letters in my username mean anything. 'Simppu' is my nickname which my dad always uses and I decided to use it when I registered to my first site. The '12' at the end is there because 'Simppu' was already taken. I added '1' at the end but it also was taken. Then I added a '2' and it wasn't taken. Since then the name has stuck with me.
Your question made me curious about the usernames and I want to ask all of you how you came up with your name/what is its origin story?-Simppu12-
Playing at the moment: FIFA 17

No problem, I don't really care but I just had to correct you. I wasn't able to resist the temptation.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
After just 3 weeks into his post as Shrewsburg, Micky Mellon has resigned for undisclosed reasons. It is widely speculated that the board were not willing to support further transfers that Mellon was keen on pushing through. Replacing him is novice Welshman Dean Wilson, who takes his managerial job in charge at New Meadow.
Shrewsbury transfer centre
Arrivals
Ben Gibson joins on a season long loan from Middlesborough. The England under 21 international is expected to feature consistently throughout the season, providing more than capable for the current centre backs.
Jake Bidwell has joined from Brentford on a season long loan deal. The young English left back is expected to slot right into the first team squad, creating strong competition within the squad.
Tommie Hoban has joined from Watford for a remarkable fee of just £45,000. The highly rated 20 year old from the Republic of Ireland joins to sure up an otherwise unstable back line. He is certain to add true defensive qualities to the role, captaining his country at under 19 level in the past whilst threatening a call up to the senior side. Many people have considered one of the deals of the summer in league 2.
The last and perhaps most incredible signing of the window for Shrewsbury is Jack Grealish, who joins on a season long loan from Aston Villa. The Republic of Ireland international has big things expected of him, and he is certain to add some flair to the Shrewsbury midfield.
Departures
Kaiman Anderson joins Crewe on a season long loan
Alex Fletcher joins Northampton on a season long loan
Josh Ginnelly joins Athlone on a season long loan
Callum Burton joins Morecambe on a season long loan
Niall Flint joins Swindon Town on a season long loan
David McAllister joins Exeter and well respected boss Tex Bumosix for £110,000
3 scouts bought and dispatched at New Meadow, sent on 9 month trips to South Korea, Japan and Australia searching for young talent.
Hope you guys enjoyed the in depth transfer window. Just about to play the first game of the season against Stevenage now so next update will be at the end of August which will probably be tomorrow eveningLast edited by Jwetson; 10-14-2014, 04:01 PM.Comment
