Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

i've got a great Crystal Palace CM going that I want to continue to play each match on. I've started quite a few other CM's, but my attention wanders very easily. One that I'd really like to continue and work on is a Slask Wroclaw in Poland. It's the local team for where I teach during the summers. I'd also like to start one in Norway or the Netherlands.

Anyone have tips for sticking to a CM? Part of the problem is I teach so I have lessons to plan for, I'm taking classes at the moment, planning an English camp in Europe, and getting ready to move. With all that said, tips are welcome to sticking to it.
    Teams:

    NFL - Packers & Browns
    MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
    Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
    NHL - Wild

I've been start playing a CM with Fulham but i'm struggling so much with the new gameplay (5 games now). So so so bad defending from me so far. I already sold all the expensive players and i'm trying to put the 'great' homegrown talent on the pitch. A lot of great potential youngsters here like Roberts, Woodrow, Eisfeld, Dembele, Kacaniclik, Hutchinson and stuff.

If you play full manual on xbox 360, pls add me guys: TheNicolau15

Youth academy keeps me hooked. Waiting for a May update or waiting for a player to develop into the next star keeps me hooked and always looking forward to the next season.

Sweet we have a Sweden and a Switzerland now. Simppu will be the USSR Hahahaa :P

I wonder what a new user would think reading through all this. Like just a person on google looking up career mode tips, clicks on the link for this thread, and finds that this thread is on a weird, random, nonproductive, hilarious war

                  Ha Ho He

                  November 2017

                  Hertha BSC 3 - 0 Hamburger SV
                  Teichgräber 38', Stocker 54', 78'

                  Champions League
                  Hertha BSC 1 - 1 Arsenal FC
                  Suarez 33'
                  Bony 90'

The poor form of Hertha BSC in the Champions League continued in this draw with London's pride Arsenal. The Berliners got off to a good start when Luis Suarez was played through on goal. He shot the ball and it bounced off the post to the net. Arsenal then started attacking but they couldn't beat Hertha's defence. Then, in the last minute of the game, a long ball was whipped to Wilfried Bony. He headed the ball at the post and then he slotted the rebound in the bottom right corner to ruin the home side's night. The referee blew his whistle right after kickoff and Hertha had lost points again.

                  Eintracht Frankfurt 1 - 3 Hertha BSC
                  Saul 29' OG
                  Reus 32', Suarez 34', Götze 74'

                  DFB Pokal Round of 32
                  Nuremberg 0 - 2 Hertha BSC
                  Götze 26', Reus 66'

                  FC Kaiserslautern 0 - 2 Hertha BSC
                  Stocker 30', Ben Yedder 54'

                  Champions League
                  Hertha BSC 2 - 1 RSC Anderlecht
                  Suarez 43' pen, 56'
                  Mitrovic 29'

After two draws in a row Hertha really needed to win this game but unluckily for them the away team scored the first goal. A through pass was played to Mitrovic who then shot the ball to the right of the net. The Berliners then started attacking more and they got an equaliser few minutes before half time from the penalty spot. Suarez then got his brace thirteen minutes later from a counter attack.

                  League Table

                  1. Hertha BSC, 36 pts
                  2. Hannover 96, 29 pts
                  3. FC Schalke 04, 26 pts
                  4. Bayern München, 24 pts
                  5. Borussia Dortmund, 24 pts
                  6. Bayer Leverkusen, 21 pts
                  -----------------------------------------------------
                  16. Eintracht Frankfurt, 10 pts
                  17. FC Kaiserslautern, 10 pts
                  18. VfL Bochum, 4 pts

                  Player of the Month

                  Luis Suarez

This man picked up his second Player of the Month award in a row thanks to his great performances in all competitions. Suarez scored in every game he played and secured the important points many times. The 30-year-old has improved his game from last season and it's good to see him doing well.

No press conference this time because there would be only two questions.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

You do know who USSR fought against, right? The Nazis. And you do remember who won that war at the end, right? The USSR. If I were you I would surrender and join me. I shall show mercy to those who surrender peacefully. And by the way, you still haven't answered my question which was "have you seen The Devil's Advocate?".

To all of you who have not taken a side in the war yet, remember this old saying: visit Russia before Russia visits you. I would pick a side, the winners' side, and that happens to be my side. Or do you want to be Jamie's toys or Chico's slaves?

That would be pretty funny if someone was really happy about finding a career mode thread and then he reads through the last five pages and all he sees is fighting.

                        Wycombe Wanderers
                        FIFA 14
                        Season 1

                        January 2014

                        MATCHDAY 26 4/1
                        Wycombe 0-0 Hartlepool

                        Our Best: Marvin McCoy

1st against 4th in this and we had the home advantage, could we make it count? We started brightly when in the 10th minute a Morias header blasted off the crossbar. We squandered chances throughout the game and ended up with a 0-0 draw. We had 9 shots and 6 of them were on target.

                        MATCHDAY 27 7/1
                        Wycombe 0-0 Chesterfield

                        Our Best: Anthony Stewart

3 days later and it's a top of the table clash with Chesterfield at home. We are both tied for points, on 52, with Chesterfield ahead on goal difference. Again we couldn't convert our chances as we had 7 shots and 5 of them on target. Another 0-0 draw at home.

                        FA CUP ROUND 3 11/1
                        West Brom 1-1 Wycombe
                        N.Anelka (71')
                        J.Pittman (90’)

                        Our Best: Bard Finne

A trip to BPL giants West Brom in the FA Cup was up next on the calendar for us on the back of a disappointing home draw last time out against Chesterfield. Needing to up our performance we started well when 20 minutes in Finne played Craig in. He was taken down just as he was about to pull the trigger and award a penalty. Finne stepped up but the keeper stopped it with his legs. Anelka hit the post in the 36th minute to give us a warning before half time. Score remained 0-0 until half time. We had more chances 4(3) to 4(1) but again failed to convert them. Anelka broke the deadlock in the 71st minute with a header from a free kick out wide. Things looked bleak and we were heading out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round before Pittman met Morias' cross in the 90th minute to force a replay.

                        MATCHDAY 28 18/1
                        Wycombe 1-0 Rochdale
                        S.Craig (82’)

Man of the Match: Sam Wood

Things were dull until Valencia got his debut off the bench and with his first few touches he got an assist! He crossed to Craig who had peeled away to the penalty spot and struck a volley into the bottom left corner for his 11th goal in all competitions. We remain unbeaten at home in the League.

Gael Bigirimana suffered a bruised shoulder and is expected to be out for 5 days.

FA CUP ROUND 3 REPLAY 22/1
Wycombe 0-0 West Brom (3-4) PENS

Man of the Match: Marvin McCoy

West Brom came to us this time and again it was a very tight affair. 63 minutes in Craig played a good one two with Valencia but the keeper got down well. Angol had a decent saved in the 73rd minute but again it was saved. West Brom started to turn the screw but we held out and Extra Time was needed. The visitors continued to pile on the pressure but couldn't break our defence. Penalties it was to be. West Brom emerged victorious on a 3-4 scoreline. We were devastated but took pride in the fact that we had pushed a BPL team 210 minutes and penalties.

                        MATCHDAY 29 25/1
                        York City 0-0 Wycombe

                        Our Best: Lee Harrison

Finne missed an open goal in the 45th minute after Morias' shot rebounded off the keeper. What looked an easy game on paper turned out to be a difficult game. We had chances from Morias (2) and Cowan-Hall in the last 10 minutes but it ended in a 0-0 draw. Fortunately Chesterfield also drew so we stay joint top.

                        MATCHDAY 30 28/1
                        Wycombe 2-1 S****horpe Utd
                        G.Bigirimana (3’)
                        J.Wootton (34’)
                        L.Valencia (38’)

Man of the Match: Paris Cowan-Hall

1st versus 5th in this one with us having home advantage. There were debuts for Rodrigo in goal and Sarmov in midfield. Bigirimana also returned from injury. In our first attack Cowan-Hall got the ball on the wing. He got to the end line and cut inside the box giving a little delicate cross to Bigirimana who took the ball on his chest and volleyed it first time past the keeper. His first goal for the club came in the 3rd minute. 30 minutes later a stupid clearance off the end line put the ball back into the 6 yard box where a scramble led to it being put in by Wootton. An excellent reply from Valencia 4 minutes on put us back in the driving seat. Craig slid a ball through to Valencia who coolly put in under the keeper. In the second half Craig hit the post twice between the 50th and 60th minutes. Chesterfield drew with Mansfield so we're now 2 points clear at the top.

                        League: Dagenham AWAY 15/2
                        League: Morecambe HOME 18/2
                        League: Mansfield Town AWAY 25/2

February seems an easier month with only 3 games against teams in the bottom half of the table.
I haven't had much to spend on the Youth Academy yet. ( I think I have a 1* 1* Scout ) Hopefully will get more to spend on it later on.

This should've been up yesterday but the Ireland match was on!

Any feedback is appreciated! Hope you enjoy it!

Sad to announce that I've lost interest in my West Brom career. Too much redoing the transfer window has killed my interest, so I will be starting a new job from the 2014/15 season.

Oh sad to hear that. It was a really interesting career you had going. Any idea of who you will decide to take on yet?

I was wondering that too as I would like to do a Exeter City CM! I have already written the introduction to it so now I'm just waiting on Tex to say if it's fine to post about my Exeter City CM.
