Okay, so I've narrowed down my options to one or two teams in each major European footballing nation:

England
Middlesbrough/Blackpool

France
Lille

Germany
Hamburg/Red Bull Leipzig

Italy
Fiorentina/Milan

Spain
Real Sociedad

Whichever one I choose, the aim is to eventually become the best in the country's top flight as well as in Europe, and there will be certain guidelines common to whichever club I pick.

- Of the 18 first team players in the starting lineup and on the bench, at least ten must be of the same nationality as the league, as should at least 50% of the entire squad.

- Reserve players must be promoted to the first team when they turn 23. Those who aren't good enough must be sold or loaned out.

- Each player will be assigned a buyout clause at the start of the career/upon being signed. Any offer higher than this figure must be accepted, and any offer lower in value must receive a counter-offer.

Tell me what you guys think!

I have a side CM with Hamburg and they have some real potential. I am in the early form of this CM as most of my time has been devoted to Lugo.

I think maybe Sociedad or either German team. Are Leipzig in the 2nd or 1st tier? If they are in 2nd I'd go with them just because I like lower league CMs lol. I like the idea of the buyout clause, makes it more realistic! Also the homegrown players will be fun, trying to win without all the big stars. I'd enjoy which ever one you decide to do though as your write ups are always very interesting! Good luck!

I am not a communist. I'm a free man who supports human rights and freedom unlike you. No, I did not abandon Rabbit and he never said that he wanted the war to end. He is the one who started it and now he's hiding from this. Of course I will go all in D-Day style because the people of this thread deserve freedom, safety and peace from the likes of you and Chico. I actually have not seen The Devil's Advocate. At least not the entire movie I've only seen bits of it.

And you did abandon Rabbit, you are incorrect, you were still on his side and then left because his views did not fit yours. He did not want the war to continue, he did kept his distance, analysing from the sidelines while you continued a full frontal assault, changing it from a mere war over MK Dons to a battle of communism vs capitalism, peace vs violence, Hertha vs Union and more importantly, your refusal to believe in the prophecy. It is true, written in the holy book of Career Mode that there shall be a war that tears the forum apart. Trying it out in Norway at Aalesunds FK. So far I've brought in on loan from the Premier League Adam Campbell (Newcastle - ST) and Cameron Brannagan (Liverpool - CAM). From the Bundesliga, Caleb Stanka (Freiburg - CDM). Currently in negotiations with Bard Finne from FC Kolne, Alfredo Morales from FC Ingolstadt, and Blair Turgott from West Ham. Hoping to make a few more moves with a few free agents along with the loans coming in. Can't wait to play a game with this team and the new additions. We'll see how long my interest holds with this team, though.

Does Norway participate in any European competition? Playing against the same teams year after year may lower your interest as the career progresses :/ aside from that, signings look good. Hopefully you can get Bard Finne on a permanent transfer since he's from Norway too
