Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Here to a Lugo update, it is a nervous time for Lugo's manager because not many goals have been met. We are still in contention for a Euro place but we need to basically win out. We have 8 matches remaining. We are sitting 9th seven point from 6th. I really hope they keep me for one more season as I have got some good talent ready to be promoted after May update. We are finally getting back healthy as well. My two strikers just returned and my CMs over the middle are coming back now too. Right now I have one match left in March, 5 on tap for April, and two in May. So I will let you all know how it turns out.Currently playing: (In order of Most Time)

How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
December 2019 - Season 7
FIFA '14 (PS3)
Capital One Cup - Quarter Final
Swansea City 1 - 2 AFC Wimbledon
SWA: Rasulo 12'
WIM: Harvey 25' 53'
Swansea struck first but they weren't able to hold off a Wimbledon B team that has seen many changes this season. This is no longer the B team that was walking over their opponents like they should be the first team. No. The defending cup champions were extremely close to being eliminated from the Capital One Cup with Tom Eaves still struggling to find his form and Max Clayton running his heart out with no direction. Luckily, the captain and club veteran Tyler Harvey stepped up and gave his team the ticket to the Capital One Cup semifinal where they await an opponent to be decided between Arsenal, Tottenham, and West Bromwich Albion.
AFC Wimbledon 1 - 1 Newcastle United
WIM: Jacob Murphy 50'
NEW: Zivkovic 85'
Newcastle United, who have improved significantly this season, defended really well and were able to escape Kingsmeadow with a draw. Wimbledon outshot and truly outplayed their opponent, but in the end Adam Cowie, who was hardly challenged all game, was unable to keep a clean sheet.
Champions League - Group Stage
PSV Eindhoven - AFC Wimbledon
*AS Roma defeated AEK Athens 3-1. Wimbledon NEEDED a win over the Dutch. Anything less than 3 points would leave the Dons out of the Champions League.
SpoilerPSV Eindhoven 0 - 1 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Josh Murphy 68'
We thought they'd never score but they've done it! Wimbledon have passed to the next round of the competition from a tight group stage. Despite the importance of this match, Chavez was forced to field the B team. Instead of the 4-4-2 Diamond Wide that the B team has been playing, Chavez fielded a 4-2-3-1 Wide with Tom Eaves being left on the bench and Max Clayton playing as the lone striker. The match went back-and-forth but the PSV goalkeeper Tytoń was a Titan in front of his net and was blocking shots left and right. The only goal of the night was only scored after two rebounded shots. Third time was a charm for Wimbledon as the ball finally managed to get past Tytoń and into the net. PSV had the Wimbledon fans off their seats the entire time, praying that Christophe Brown kept a clean sheet. The Wimbledon youth graduate held his composure and, with help from his posts in several occasions, stopped PSV from scoring and allowed his team to keep fighting in the cup.
Manchester City 1 - 1 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Thompson 45'
MCI: Benteke 90'
Once again Adam Cowie blows his clean sheet in the final minutes of the match. Wimbledon played much better than the Citizens but a last minute header from Benteke was all City needed to take two points away from Wimbledon. I can't remember the last time Manchester City managed to get any points from Wimbledon actually. City's goalkeeper Begovic was vital in this match, as he won the Man of The Match award thanks to 12 impressive saves that in the end motivated his teammates to push forward and equalize the match. We can see why Begovic has left England goalkeeper Joe Hart on the bench this season.
QPR 1 - 2 AFC Wimbledon
QPR: Traoré 41'
WIM: James 44' Paterson 90'
An absolutely terrible match from Wimbledon. The players looked clumsy and were very slow for some reason. Perhaps the rain had something to do with it. Nevertheless, a terrible match. Relegation zone QPR made Wimbledon work tonight and were very close to taking an important point this week, but unfortunately Callum Paterson was able to score a last minute header to give Wimbledon the lead.
AFC Wimbledon 1 - 1 Sunderland
WIM: Thompson 42'
SUN: Walter 71'
Another bad match for Wimbledon where they truly struggle to score more than one goal, while their defense struggles to keep a clean sheet.
Barclay's Premier League Table
1. AFC Wimbledon - 43 points
2. Manchester City - 39 points
3. Manchester United - 39 points
4. Chelsea - 39 points
5. Everton - 34 points
----------
6. Newcastle United - 31 points
8. Liverpool - 29 points

4. AEK Athens - 1 point (-11)
UCL Top Scorer
1. Bony (Valencia) - 6 Goals
*Six players tied for 2nd with 5 goals each
Notable Youth Academy Players
*No Changes
SpoilerBen McGovern - CDM (63-67, 88-94): Only 16 years old, the Northern Irish midfielder looks very promising. Ideally the club wants him to stay in the academy for one more year. Hopefully he doesn't demand a call up anytime soon.
Chris McGinn - CDM (66-70, 87-93): The 17 year old from Northern Ireland has finally chosen CDM as his position of choice. He's considered to be physically strong, but may not be promoted until next year.
Jamie Mannus - CDM (63-67, 82-88): This 17 year old from Northern Ireland has a bright future ahead of him. He stands at 6'5" and prefers playing as a defensive midfielder. Competition between him and Sean Archer in the U-17 is very close, with Mannus being more defensive minded. We expect great things from these two players.
Kyle Clarkson - LW (59-63, 80-86): Recently added to the academy so still being analyzed. The English winger is only 5'8" at age 15.
Mal Osborn - RB (58-62, 80-86): One of the only fullbacks in the U-17 that isn't defensive minded. The English winger is only 15 years old and can't be registered with the senior team until next season, but he's already one of the fastest players in the academy.
Sean Archer - CDM (65-69, 85-91): The 17 year old from Scotland is an incredible playmaker who prefers to stay in the defensive half and analyze the game from there. He's one of the most exciting players in the U-17 but he will not be registered with the senior squad until next season.
Steven Ross - CDM (63-67, 80-86): Defensive minded midfielder from Scotland. Recently turned 16 but won't be considered for promotion until next season.
Todd Zebroski - CDM (62-66, 80-86): 16 year old playmaker from England. Definitely one to keep an eye on but can't be promoted until next season.
Tyrone Kedwell - CM (56-60, 77-83): I'm not gonna lie I signed him immediately because of his last name - Kedwell. Could he become a club legend like Danny Kedwell? I sure hope he can live up to the name.
*Jamie Mannus has been promoted to senior squad after demanding to be promoted.
Headlines
Eaves: From Gornell's Successor To Possible Departure
This season has been hard on Wimbledon striker Tom Eaves, and many are confirming that the 6'5" giant has a foot outside of the club now going into the January transfer window. The club officials have not commented on anything regarding the suppose sale of Eaves, but my sources have informed me that they are in fact looking to bring in another striker this January. It is hard to say if this means Eaves will be leaving the club or if Chavez hopes to wake him up by bringing in some internal competition. Chavez is a manager who has favored having competition within his squad on the training ground, so the idea of Eaves staying with the club is not too far fetched.
So... We Meet Again
The draws for the Champions League Round of 16 have been completed, and AFC Wimbledon has drawn FC Porto as their rival this year. Memories of last year's Quarter Final were instantly played back in our heads when we saw the matchup announced. For those that may not remember, FC Porto was the team that eliminated AFC Wimbledon last year in the quarter final round. The Portuguese weren't able to defeat the Wombles, but thanks to the Away Goals Rule they moved on to the Semi Finals, sending Wimbledon back to England. Will Wimbledon be able to change the story this time around?
Ross Worner's Revenge
Ever since Ross Worner left Wimbledon, the Dons haven't had a reliable goalkeeper in front of the net. Worner won two Golden Gloves back to back (League 1 and League 2) finished in 2nd place for the FL Championship Golden Glove, and finished Wimbledon's first season in the Barclay's Premier League amongst the Top 3 goalkeepers in England. Worner would then be transferred to Norwich City, and youth graduate Christophe Brown took his place. Brown would later lose the starting spot to another youth graduate Adam Cowie, who then went on to become Scotland's #1 goalkeeper at just 19 years of age, with Brown also being called up to Scotland from time to time. Despite these accomplishments, the Scottish goalkeepers haven't been able to reach Worner's achievements. Six months into the season Cowie has only been able to record 3 clean sheets, and Brown has 4 clean sheets. Chavez takes pride in having youth players with the starting squad, but many are beginning to question why Chavez doesn't spend in the transfer windows when there isn't a goalkeeper over the age of 20 in the squad. Some have even gone a step further and linked Joe Hart, who is no longer a starter at Manchester City, with a move to AFC Wimbledon, but Chavez has never been one to sign household names.
That's all for now! Any comments are always appreciated.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Tex, nice to have you back! You were mentioned quite a few times while you were away, and we all hope you enjoy FIFA again, but I completely understand feeling jaded. Just to catch you up, I'm trying to bring Parma and Serie A back to relevance after giving them a new owner and stadium.
Speaking of which, I've played a couple of test games with the 5-2-1-2 formation, and I have to say that it's incredible. It seems defensive to play 5ATB, but I think the wide midfielders in the 3-5-2 aren't realistic in their movement. Converting their positions to wing backs in a 5-3-2 is much more efficient, especially when you instruct them to 'always overlap' via player instructions. Giving your CAM the 'free roam' option is also incredibly helpful as it allows him to pop up at the best of places. My current setup for the 5-2-1-2 with Parma needs a lot of changing because work rates are all over the place, but the sheer volume of the modifications means I will need to sell before I can buy.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Alright, I said yesterday that I would end the poll today and that's what I'm doing right now. Let's take a look at how the poll ended. It was pretty even the whole time but we have a winner.
As I expected the option 'Don't start a new career' finished last with zero votes. We have the League 2 career in third place with four votes but don't worry, that will be done after this career. In second place finished 'taking a job offer' with six votes which means that our winner is contestant number 2 AKA starting a new career with a new team. I have a couple options in mind and I want you to vote again!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Played a game last night, realized FIFA is much harder when you haven't played in a long time.
Lost 2-1 with the winning goal being a beautiful strike by my defender into our own goal. It was glorious.Comment

And because I want to make this post a little bit longer I'll give you an update on the poll. I know many of you haven't voted yet but I'll do it anyway. So, right now Southampton and Malaga are tied in first place with three votes each. Burnley and Aston Villa are in third and fourth with two votes and Hellas Verona, Villarreal and none of those teams are all tied with one vote. If the poll ends in a draw I will either make the decision myself or ask you to vote. Again. Thank you for voting!-Simppu12-

Could you give a step-by-step guide on how to upload pictures from the game here? I have been wondering that for a while now. I can't use fraps or anything like that because I'm on the PS4.
