Having little time to post sucks, now chico thinks I dont know he faced Barca in the Champions, didn't I at least give your update a thumbs up?

And indi I considered Brighton but wasn't sure about you repeating that so I went with Leeds instead.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Leeds seems like a good one, though Derby are pretty much on the same level. Leeds have a much better defence, though Derby's midfield and attack are quite spectacular for their division. That combination of Johnny Russell and Will Hughes could be deadly on the left. I think whichever club I choose, I'll have a British-only transfer policy.

On another note, I really wish Football League clubs could get Premier League font, numbers and patches when they make it to the top. Kills the realism a bit when you bring York City to the PL but still have your League 2 badges and numbers.

I thought I was the only that thought that But thats fifa for you

I would like to see Leeds and with that crazy Italian taking over and then losing the rights to Leeds by the Football League. Knowing you, you could easily make an awesome storyline with that.

However, A lot of the better players with good potential from Leeds are foreigners and if you want all British Transfer Policy that will be your downfall.

Also they did get a new manager at the start of this season where Derby didn't so Leeds could be more "realistic" to an extent

Personally I would love to see a Leeds Career Mode on this thread so I give Leeds the vote

Leeds it is, then. I'm going away to spend Christmas with the in-laws, then I have a busy schedule up until January, so first post will probably only be next year.

EDIT: Not to brag but I've been here since the start of this thread. And I would never of guess that it would make 800 pages. Awesome work guys. I have so many memories (Indi's very in depth career modes, Chico's persuding everyone to hate MK Dons, **** them, all the road to glories as well). I hope everyone and even more will stick around and who knows we could make 2000 before the end of next year.

I know what you mean man. Back when I was 16 my first job was at McDonald's and I hated getting called in to work all the time. If you want to be on their good side you have to go though. Every time I felt my phone vibrate I didn't even want to look especially when I was about to go out.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Hey guys,i'm new here, first of all sorry if my english is not the best. I'm from Brazil and i support Corinthians & Liverpool, but i like many others teams around the world.
I've been reading your posts and you guys motivated me to start a career and try something like this (playing many season & updating my facts here).
I started so many carrers already but never kept them for a long time, the most long i did on FIFA15 was with IFK Norrkoping from Sweden. I'm planning now to start with one of this teams, hopefully i'll play many seasons

                CD Nacional - 700,000 Euros
                CS Maritimo - 600,000 Euros
                Penafiel - 100,000 Euros
                -----------------------

Some of the teams i have already started before:
Tranmere Rovers - Played 1 season, promoted to League 1 through playoffs
IFK Norrkopping - Played 1 season, finished 5th 2 points behing the 3rd (Europa League Spot)
                Club Brugge KV...
                FC Utretcht...
                RCD Espanyol...
                Parma...

Playing now with Rangers, 2nd in the league 3 points behing Celtic.
I'm enjoying with Rangers, but i want to start a new one so i can begin posting from the start.

Any team suggestions will be welcome
Fav. Players: Quaresma, Ronaldinho & Steve G

Welcome to the thread! Hopefully you will enjoy it here! It's nice to see new guys here! Don't worry, your English is good.

I would go with a team you are familiar with and you like. Since the Brazilian league isn't in the game (thanks, EA) I would go with a South American or Portuguese team. I'm not familiar with those leagues but out of the teams you mentioned I would go with Maritimo.

I hope everyone and even more will stick around and who knows we could make 2000 before the end of next year.

Man, what an up and down start to the season! Some big wins, losses and 0-0 draws. There was a bit of everything mixed in there! lol. I'm sure you'll steady the ship though and get stronger throughout the season.

He immediately attacked and shifted the ball on to his left foot before striking a powerful ball past the keeper for the deciding goal.

                            Youth Academy

Carl Little (Northern Ireland) 16 years old 56-60 OVR 74-80 POT.
                            - Carl Little has stepped up for the youth team playing as a center back. The 16 year old hit his growth spurt that the youth doctors were expecting and now stands at 6'1" giving him a bright future in the center of the defense.

Jay Holmes (England) 15 years old 71-75 OVR 88-94 POT.
-Jay Holmes has the look of something special. His technical abilities are far beyond his age and enable him to be extremely effective in the CAM role of the midfield. He is no doubt one to keep an eye on moving forward.

Josh Meenan (Northern Ireland) 16 years old 58-62 OVR 72-78 POT.
                            - The young boy from Northern Ireland has natural talents at keeper, but his future will be determined on how much he grows over the coming years since he is standing only 5'7" at the moment. If he hits a growth spurt as expected, his future seems bright.

Xabi Rodriguez (Mexico) 15 years old 51-61 OVR 84-94 POT.
-Xabi at just 15 from Mexico already shows a lot of promise. His permanent position has not yet been determined, but his future appears to be in either the midfield or as a forward. Everyone will be keeping a close eye on his development.

Exeter City Player of the Month

                            James Wilson

While it wasn't his most dominating month ever played, it was the importance of the goals he scored that shines through. With two late game winners, including one against his old club, Manchester United, in the Capital One Cup, Wilson came up huge this month. He also continued to show off his new found passing ability.

                            Press Conference

Q: Not the most impressive of results this month, but you are still in contention for a playoff spot. Most expected this team to be fighting to avoid relegation rather than fighting for promotion. Are you happy with where you are right now?

A: Happy? I wouldn't say that. We were higher up and we dropped points, it is hard to be happy with that. I am proud of these players though to be going against expectations once again. I think we are a better team than we are currently showing and my focus will be to bring that out over the next few matches.

Q: Another thrilling performance has put you past Manchester United in the Capital One Cup to advance to the quarter finals. A high scoring affair ended in extra time with James Wilson scoring the winner against his old club. How big of a win was this for your squad?

A: I couldn't be happier for James to have been the one to end the match like that. I knew how important this match was to him, especially after we were knocked out last year in such a close fashion when he couldn't get on to the score sheet. He had a year to think about this moment, and he came up big at the right moment. This win gives us a real chance to go all the way, but we know that the draw won't get any easier going forward.

Q: On the international side, your run for World Cup Qualifying is going well. You have extended your points lead on your group with a draw against Wales and a unexpected win over Italy. How important was the win in that last one?

A: Most placed Italy as the favorites for the group once the draws were established. It is huge to get a win over them and to also be sitting with the points lead we have as well. It is also easy to lose that lead very quickly so we intend to stay focused and continue to field our best lineups each match and won't rest until we have officially qualified.

What's Next for the battling Perth Glory
West Australian Newspaper, May 23rd 2014

10 years ago Perth Glory celebrated winning the final National Soccer League grand final hoping to bring a healty foundation into the ""New Hyundai A-League"". However 10 years on and the small club from Western Australia still haven't found that success from the NSL with their trophy drought continuing after finishing third last on the table in a season that saw the former manager Alister Edwards and the players including former captain Jacob Burns having huge disagrements over the managers playing his sons more than the Captain causing his tenure to end abuptly. Also big name signings in William Gallas and Shane Smeltz failed to impress on what should of been a promising season after making the finals in the 2012/13 season. Englishman Kenny Lowe came in a caretaker role but results didn't improve with Lowe stepping down to head of scouting. With no manager key players retiring in Burns, McGarry and Dodd, Key marquee signings in Smeltz and Gallas leaving and goal keeper Danny Vukovic future uncertain could we see the ugly side of the purple team in the West. We saw some promising signs at the end of last seasons with key January signings in Rostyn Griffiths and Nebojša Marinković showing that they can fill the void leaving players left.

Reports around tell us that Glory have signed young Perth SC head coach Jake Gaspar as manager after guiding them from second last to grand finalists in a season. We also hear reports that 33 year old Perth born ex-Socceroo Richard Garcia is near joining after leaving Minnesota United in the MLS. We also have reports that ex-Irish and Premier League striker Andy Keogh is in talks with the Glory after being released by london club Millwall. Keogh has been capped by his national side 30 times scoring twice including a goal against World Champions Germany.

                              More will come later.

Young Jake Gaspar offically hired as Glory Coach
West Australian Newspaper, June 1st 2014

As we reported earlier last month Jake Gaspar was in talks with Perth Glory. We can today, confirm Gaspar as Manager of the Perth Glory. We can say that he was hired on the 7th of May but Glory asked to keep it confidential in which the A-League argeed too as long as the other clubs knew. Conditions in which Glory accepted. The Clause also said that his job had to be open to the public by June 12th. Today a press conference was held to confirm the mangerial change where Owner Tony Sage and CEO Jason Brewer were there. However, Gaspar wasn't! Sage said he had personal issues and could not attend. He also said that Gaspar is not going to have a press conference until the A-League launch on the 12th of October due to the team having pre season in Europe in late June and all of July lasting 6 weeks, but is open to discussion about how the team is progressing. As well as the Brewer and Sage were the 5 signings that Glory have made. We also reported earlier last month that Richard Garcia and Andy Keogh were about to sign for the club they were their with their shirt numbers in 11 and 9 respectivly Keogh wearing the number that has been previously worn by Smeltz and Robbie Fowler. Also there was Dutchman Youssouf Hersi who prevoiusly played for last years runner ups Western Sydney Wanderers who will be wearing number 7 and Socceroo Internatonals Dino Đulbić and Mitch Nichols who will wear number 6 and 17 respectivly.

Today we get our first press conference with new Glory Manager Jake Gaspar

Q: Hello, How are you finding your new job?
A: G'Day, I'm loving it at the moment, It's a new challenge and I'm looking forward to it.

Q: How was your time in Europe with the team?
A: It was great, The team and I got to know each other and the team bonded really well, it was a great experience for everyone and think we can build on this experience

Q: You played 3 friendlies against quality opposition in Wigan, Uni. de Chile and Fc K'lautern losing against Wigan and de Chile but beating FCK who do you think that went?
A: We played some teams that are on the same level or higher than us and besides the wigan game where we lost 4-0 we played really well I thought.

                              Q: Your signings, thoughts?
A: they are good signings I wouldn't of bought them if I didn't think they were good. Silly Question!

Q: Hersi picked up an injury is he going to be okay for the opener against the Jets?
[/B]A:[/B] We will see how he is then make the desision, he had a bumpy pre-season with the injury but should be good.

Q: What are your goals this season?
A: To win! If we don't want to win why are playing then. Did you ask the signings question... Well thats another bad question. Think you should think before asking. tut tut tut!

Q: What are your long term goals for yourself? Would you like to manage in Europe or the Americas? your only 35 yo have plenty of time.
A: I grew up in Perth and watched the Glory every week. I love the Glory and want to make them succeed into what they were in the NSL days. but hey, If a job offer pops up that tempts me. Who knows. It's not like I will decline an offer from Liverpool hahaha.

Q; Finally, a lot of people judge you and the Glory when you were appointed saying he has no experience and that your too young, thoughts?
A: Judge me and the club at the end of the season. I was hired and I'm going to do th best job I can. You Jorno's need to waste your time on better things than judging people. Thanks guys.

Great month! Huge win over Derby which actually surprised me because Derby have a pretty good squad. Then that win against United was phenomenal to come from behind in the final minutes of the match and with a goal from Wilson to top it off. Youth academy is looking real good. Shame that the calendar is still forcing you to sim matches but at least your team still managed to win even without you. You're not considering resigning from Northern Ireland because of that are you?
