I'm managing Bulgaria, my home country and the home country of my manager character's father or mother. I would love to play in the world cup with them, especially after watching some videos from the 1994 world cup (when we were fourth after beating Germany).

I voted for you to stay, to see how the World Cup plays out. I would also like for you to list the player surprises. Like for instance a Ronaldo, Messi, Neuer are not playing for their respective countries. Obviously you would have to check for injuries first.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Some devastating news. We hosted my wife's nephew's birthday party, and the brats wanted to play FIFA, so I let them. I also said no careers, but of course, brats being brats, they didn't listen. I now have a bloody Atleti save, and my only Nantes file is the original save from day 1 of season 1. Man, I hate kids.
Okay. Do you guys want me to give Nantes another shot, or would you rather see a new career? New team would be a return to Nottingham Forest, or maybe another team. I'm open to suggestions.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
damn Indy that sucks, I think a new CM would be better at this point given that you had already had a long run at Nantes, starting from day 1 doesn't sound like something you'd be looking forward to. What about Ajax or PSV?
Simp, stay at ManU simply because of the Bulgaria-WC thing, I know that would keep me around.
I'm wondering if my next CM should be a globetrotter coach ...vrabbit

I wouldn't start a new Nantes career because it wouldn't feel the same and you could get annoyed thinking about how well you did in the lost save. I would go with... hmm... maybe another French club, Italian club or a Spanish one. I would love to see a Malaga career (which you have been thinking about a few times) but I would enjoy a return to Parma or another Italian team, too.-Simppu12-

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
@Jamie - Almost an unbeaten month until the very last match! Good to see you sitting just 2 points behind Chelsea in the table though, and at the top of your Champions League group. Also Gary Medel is a beast. I had him in my old Deportivo career and he is an outstanding defensive midfielder.
@Indie - Unbeaten so far and off to a great start. I like seeing a French career since it is out of the usual. We rarely have them and I had been thinking about doing one for my next career for a while, but then you took care of that so I moved on to St. Pauli!
@Falaph - Amazing start so far, you aren't just winning you are straight murdering teams right now! Keep it up man and you will win the league by a wide margin.
@Chico - Great month, you won all matches until a draw in the final one of the month against Rabbit's Alcorcon. Only 1 point behind 1st and you are in great form right now. Guillermo Fernandez has been outstanding so far, luckily his injury was minor and only 5 days.
@Sportsfreak - Rough October, but wow what a win against Sevilla. But way to follow it up with a great November starting with a win against Atletico and then a well fought draw with Barca.
@SHoward - Brutal start to the season, reminds me a lot of my St. Pauli start. But, that means you can turn it around just as easily. Once you find the right system for your players and get used to how they play it starts to get easier. Looking forward to how you finish the season! Pretty neat to see a friendly against St. Pauli sneak in there!
That Barca game was annoying for me as it was the last day of the month and I had a game 2 days before so my best strikers were totally Screwed
Also I have a surprise in store for The January Transfer Window so watch for that guysCurrently Playing:

Manchester United win the Champions League with a great come back!
"HolyJesus, I can't tell if I'm dreaming or not. We ended the season -and the game- in a spectacular way. It's just like in 1999 when ManU beat Bayern with two late goals. I'm even more happier about the fact that we are the first team ever to win the league, Capital One Cup, Champions League and FA Cup quadruple. That's a terrific achievement that no one else will achieve any time soon!"

I have an important question for you. Do you want me to continue the career with Hellas Verona or stay for one more season at Man United? I know I said that I wouldn't do another season but the world cup will be played next year in the career and I have a very big chance of qualifying. Leave your opinion here or vote in this poll:

The next post will be a squad report.
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!
What an absolutely amazing season, has to be one of the most successful we've seen here yet. Great job Simppu! As for whether to continue at United or go back to Verona, I'm undecided right now. I went to cast my vote and couldn't decide. And then I saw that the results were tied so I didn't want to cast one that could be a decider when I'm not even sure myself!

I know you've had a history with them before and enjoyed it a lot. And on top of that they are a club with a lot of history that you can recapture. I guess it all really depends on if you prefer to play in England, or want to be in a different country.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
You weren't as dominant as the past months, but you were kicking so much a** previously that the two defeats didn't make that much of a difference on the league table. You're still first and you have a 5 point advantage over 2nd place. I'm surprised to see that you didn't keep any clean sheets this month since your defense was outstanding previously, but your attacking third have been on it with close results like 3-2 and 4-3. Will you be making any changes to help improve the defense or will you just wait it out since they have already proven in the past that they can be one of the best defenses in the league?Comment

If it persists for another month though then I will definitely be doing some tinkering with the formations or instructions.
Do you have any suggestions on possible changes to tighten it up though?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
What!?!!?! You have absolutely terrible luck with your careers. I like to see Forest or a team like that but I'd be equally as happy to see Nantes again if that's what you and others want. I don't know how you'd feel with restarting at Nantes though considering the seasons you had with them. Might not be the same.
Really??? That's terrible. Like Keano said you have bad luck with your careers. If I were you I would've choked those little brats. Damn, your Nantes career was going well. I wouldn't start a new Nantes career because it wouldn't feel the same and you could get annoyed thinking about how well you did in the lost save. I would go with... hmm... maybe another French club, Italian club or a Spanish one. I would love to see a Malaga career (which you have been thinking about a few times) but I would enjoy a return to Parma or another Italian team, too.
No backup file either??? Gotta keep a couple of copies of that bad boy around for any situation... brutal luck though. I would love to see Nantes return, but it's up to you because that would be brutally tough to try and replicate previous form, etc. and anything different *for you* may feel weird. So if you feel comfortable I would love to see more Nantes, but would definitely be open to your return to English football as well.

First of all, you guys have the right to know what happened with Nantes. I got as far as December 1, when I was top of the table on goal difference, with just two points separating me from fourth place. Younes Marzouk had got off to a flying start, bagging 11 goals in his first 8 appearances, including a brace against PSG, who we beat 3-0. We beat Dundee 4-2 in the first Europa League match, downed PAOK (who were really good) 1-0, and then beat Leverkusen... 5-1. Gakpe hat-trick, four assists for Cataldi, 96% pass completion for Veretout with more than 65 attempted, and 6 saves from Riou. It was the PERFECT team performance. My lowest-rated player that game was Sidibe, who got a 7.8!
All said and done, I think I could do a job with Nantes again. We'd just need to pretend the whole first season never happened. It's weird, because I was thinking after my 1-0 loss to Nice that I might have done things slightly different in the first season if I'd known some things I learned in the second, and now I have the chance. Since I can't decide, I want people to vote.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
You're telling me. I'm just glad I don't have the problems I did with the PS3, which was just rank. Corrupted files, randomly deleted saves, hard disk crashes... bloody useless machine.
I've tried a Dutch league career. It's just not competitive enough for me. The big three/four are always miles ahead of everyone else. No other team ever has a shot.
Well, I did yell at the little weed that saved over Nantes. My wife said I was overreacting, but she wasn't mad since I didn't yell at her nephew. Malaga has been a long time coming. Toppling the big boys of Spain could be an option, especially with Valencia making a comeback.
I've pretty much always relied on autosaves for progress. Thought I learned my lesson well and good once a long time ago, but it seems I let bad habits take over again. Trust me, I've learned properly this time. I'm making a new save on the first day of each month from now on.
It feels like I have unfinished business in France...
