Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Nope I'm in Serie A with Juventus and Simp just started one with Hertha in the Bundesliga.
I might try to get some updates this weekend as I am heading home for the weekend. But plans may change because 2K just dropped a patch that fixed what stopped me from the playing the game. Also when I was last home I picked up the remastered GoldenEye 007. And I want to play that. But I will try to get some Juventus games in.Comment

New Manager for Real Zaragoza
Spanish Liga Adelante side Real Zaragoza have announced the signing of Irishman Paddy Keane to a 3 year contract to manage the side. The former underage international had his playing days cut short due to a serious knee injury at the age of 23. He didn't want to leave the sport all together so he signed up for his coaching badges. He has no managerial experience but has been involved in the Swansea City youth setup and underage sides. His vision for the club is to take it to the top of Spanish and European football while keeping the club based on it's own youth and local kids. It remains to be seen whether or not this has been a masterstroke by the Zaragoza board or if they have been left with egg on their faces.
Mr. Keane wasn't available to comment, as he was on holiday, but he did release a plan to take the club forward.
Plan
SpoilerStep 1.
Get promoted to La Liga in 2 seasons max. Preferably this season.
Step 2.
Stay out of relegation for the first season in La Liga.
Step 3.
Finish mid table in second La Liga season.
Step 4.
Push up into top 6 in third season.
Step 5.
Qualify for the Champions League in season 5. (6 if stayed 2 seasons in Adelante)
Step 6.
Win the League and Champions League between seasons 6 to 8.
Step 7.
Complete the treble by season 10.
He has also set a transfer policy of Spanish players or players from Spanish speaking countries. 3 players from non Spanish speaking countries will be allowed in the squad. Any current foreign players are allowed to stay for now and, depending on how well they develop/perform, will be sold later on. This also applies to the Youth Academy. Spain will be mainly focused on in the first season or two and then we plan to branch out to other Spanish speaking nations along with Portugal.

Real Zaragoza 1-0 Al-Ittihad
Porcar 78'
MotM: Lucas Porcar
We struggled to click until the goal constantly getting into good positions but not being able to make that final pass. The goal itself was a show of good persistent play by Porcar. Munir had his attempted pass through to Porcar cut out but the MOTM took advantage of a poor touch to steal it and then go through on goal to finish under the keeper.

Kuban Krasnodar 2-1 Real Zaragoza
Baldé 19'
Popov 85'
Diego Suárez 88' (Dorca)
MotM: Diego Suárez
Some bad decision making led to Kuban's first goal. The ball should have been cleared but instead we tried to pass it out. It bounced around the box before Baldé put it away. Guti missed a couple of good chances soon before this goal. Alcolea kept us in the game with a good save and then Basha along with Suárez hit the crossbar and post respectively. Popov was allowed to dribble through our defence much to easily and score Kuban's second. Suárez eventually got on the score sheet 3 minutes later. He really impressed with 5 out of 5 shots on target.

MotM: David Muñoz
Started with a 4-2-3-1 which got us a 2-1 lead at halftime. I switched to a 4-3-3 Attack to see how it would do. It didn't go very well so I switched back to the 4-2-3-1. 2 of their goals were lucky. The first Óscar Whalley (Keeper) was too slow out to a ball and that allowed Bae Ki Jong to score. Their second was even luckier. Rico slid in and blocked a shot but the rebound went up in the air to the other side of the box where Oh Jang Eun volleyed it home. Muñoz and Ruiz de Galarreta combined well for the 2 goals. Unfortunately we were unable to keep out Chong Te Se for the third goal.

Match 1
CD Lugo 1-3 Real Zaragoza
David López 7'
Javi Álamo 25' (Borja)
Borja 56' (Pedro)
Porcar 74' (Borja)
MotM: Borja Bastón
On loan striker Borja Bastón had a great first league game today. Scoring once and setting up two more in a Man of the Match display. Óscar Whalley made a mistake for the first goal throwing the ball to the opposition. The ball was worked into López and he first timed it into the back of the net. Ruiz de Galarreta played it into Borja, who had his back to goal. His first touch took it across his body and then he gave a reverse pass into captain Javi Álamo's path who touched it into his stride and curled under José Juan. Pedro won the ball off David de Coz on the left and made his way into the box where he pulled it back for Borja to tap in for the lead. Óscar Whalley kept us in it with a brilliant close range save from Valle before Porcar made absolutely sure of the victory scoring across José Juan in the 74th minute.

Match 2
Real Zaragoza 1-1 CD Mirandés
Urko Vera 34'
Porcar 43' (Borja)
MotM: Lucas Porcar
This game ended 1-1 with both goals coming in the first 45 minutes of play. Borja forced an early save with a header but it was Mirandés that took the lead. Mario failed to win the header with Igor Martínez and as Fernández tried to block the shot Martínez stopped and rolled it across to Vera who finished it well with a first time shot past Óscar Whalley. Borja forced another save before he set up Porcar for the equalizer. Porcar ran across behind the center half, who Borja had dragged out, and into the space. He stopped and took it inside the Mirandés captain, César Caneda, before curling it in from close range with his left foot. The keeper saved another Porcar attempt and a Borja header to end the game.

Thoughts
2 losses in Preseason wasn't great but the team was still gelling and it was a different team for all of those 3 games for the majority. The first league game against Lugo was a good game and Borja was great. He did well again getting another assist in the second game. That meant he has been involved in all 4 of our goals this season. The 3 loan signings were for some depth at the back. Miquel as my 2 better CBs are old and a bit slow. Bellerín was brought in for depth at RB since Diogo is over 30 as well. The rest of the team I am fairly happy with. They are all fairly young and we have enough depth I believe. Munir was just brought in for some pace up front as we lacked that. Though because of his stamina I don't see him taking over the starting slot. I still have around €1.6 million so that will be going into the Academy with some left over for contracts, January and making Bellerín's deal permanent if he impresses. I hope you guys like my idea of only 3 players from non Spanish countries in the squad to base the team on Spanish players. This is also going to happen with the Academy.
Next Month's Games
3/9 - RCD Mallorca (a)
6/9 - Real Betis (h)
14/9 - CA Osasuna (a)
20/9 - UD Las Palmas (h)
24/9 - SD Ponferradina (a)
27/9 - CD Numancia (a)
A couple of tough fixtures coming up @Chico's place and hosting Sportsfreak's Betis. A couple of mid table sides then with Mallorca and Numancia along with a team down near the bottom, Ponferradina. UD Las Palmas are just one place below us so that will be a tough fixture as well. I want at least 14/18 points but preferably 15 or 16 from the 18 available.
Hope you enjoyed the first post! Thanks for reading!
Your loanees are looking like very good choices and i'm looking forward to how they fair later on in the season. Not a bad start to the league as well. Lucas Porcar and Borja Bastón look like your star players and they've been chipping in with most of your games in the first month.
Hopefully, this CM is a lot more exciting and that you do well in it!

CAM - 72 OVR, Juan Carlos Valerón, 39 yrs old - Free Transfer from UD Las Palmas
A true Deportivo Legend is returning to the club. Having left in 2013 after 13 magical seasons with Deportivo as one of the most important players in the greatest stretch of club history, Juan Carlos Valerón is returning to the club. At 39 years old, his best days are far behind him, yet the supporters couldn't be more excited to have a piece of club history back. This move will surely enamor new manager Tex Bumoseis to the fan base, but the results will still have to show on the pitch or the novelty will wear off quickly.
CB - 71 OVR, Juanfran, 37 yrs old - Free Transfer from Levante UD
Juanfran is another signing that Bumoseis was able to bring in for free. He started his career with Levante, and worked his way through a number of clubs, including Galician rival Celta Vigo, before making is way back to Levante in 2010. With the defender now 37 years old, the club and player found it to be the right time to part ways, but Bumoseis is betting that the center back still has a year left in the tank to help control that back line and provide a veteran presence to help organize the defense.
CF - 63 OVR, Jose Pozo, 18 yrs old - €1,900,000 from Manchester City
Jose Pozo joined Real Madrid's academy at just 11 years old and spent 5 years with the Spanish giants before moving to Manchester City in 2012. After earning a nomination for Academy Player of the Year, he was sidelined with an ankle injury before making a recovery and began putting in solid performances for the youth side. Feeling ready to start seeing regular first team football, and knowing he was a long way away from that at City, Pozo agreed to join Deportivo where he will be given consistent chances on the pitch and return to his home country.

Granada CF 2 - RC Deportivo 2
GRA - Bangoura 8', El Arabi 21'
DEP - Riera 36', Perez 87' (PEN)
MOTM: Perez
Bangoura received the ball at the top left side of the box and turned to dribble towards the middle before firing a strong right footed shot into the top left corner. Nyom found El Arabi unmarked at the top of the box and he was able to use his left foot to place the ball in the bottom left corner and double the lead. Juan Dominguez found Riera on the right side of the goal for a quick turn and shoot just inside the near post to cut the lead in half. After the keeper misplayed a cross and barreled through the attacker to concede a penalty, Perez stepped up to convert it into the left side of the goal for the late equalizer.
RC Deportivo 6 - Rayo Vallecano 2
DEP - Pozo 14', Cuenca 59', 76', 90', Perez 67'
RAY - Baptistao 32', Bueno 45'
MOTM: Pozo
Pozo opened the scoring after Postiga found him up the middle and he finished across his body to the right post. Baptistao answered back with a diving header off of a cross from Bueno on the left wing. Bueno then added a goal of his own with a header off of a corner to put Rayo Vallecano ahead. Juanfran attacked down the right wing and layed the ball off for Cuenca on the right side of the goal to finish to the far post. Pozo got ahead on the counter and faked a shot inside the box before playing it to Perez on the left side for the easy finish. Pozo sent a low cross in that found Cuenca but his initial shot was blocked by the defender, but his effort on the rebound found the back of the net. Pozo then led the counter once again and played it to Juan Dominguez just as the keeper rushed out for the easy tap in. Luisinho hit an audacious shot from outside the box on the left side of the field that hit off the post and deflected right to Cuenca's head who was able to direct it back into the net for his hat-trick.

Deportivo La Coruña Player of the Month
Isaac Cuenca
Isaac Cuenca was outstanding with his performance against Rayo Vallecano. In this short month, that single game was enough to separate him from the rest of the group. His 3 goal performance saw him score in a variety of ways as he led Deportivo to 3 points in an offensively dominant performance.
Manager Comments
Academy Update - We have assigned a scout to search across Spain for talent to add to our new youth movement. This is the first step in establishing a home-grown, self-sustaining team. We were also able to add our first academy player under this new policy, Ivan Fauria. Ivan's talents are mostly in the defensive half of the pitch, but has shown some ability to play as a central midfielder in the youth set up. Still, his future is most likely on the back line. He has plenty of room to grow, and should be a player to keep an eye on for Deportivo moving forward.
Transfer Business - We did well to earn a profit in this window earning a total of €2,445,000 through the sale of players, and spending €1,900,000 on players brought in for a profit of €545,000. Club legend Juan Carlos Valerón is rejoining on a free transfer to the delight of our fans, and we have also added central defender Juanfran from Levante on a free transfer. The only money spent was on 18 year old forward Jose Pozo from Manchester City. He has a lot of promise and will get a chance at the first team football he has been craving and unable to get at City.
Season Start - Only 2 games in, the returns have been positive so far. I am happy with 4 points in the 2 matches, and our offensive explosion against Rayo Vallecano was a very positive sign. Still a lot of work to be done, and we need to find some consistency on the back line in order to help out Fabricio in goal. I think there is still plenty of room to grow, and by the end of the season we have a chance to playing at a very high level.
Lots of transfers out so that's really freed up your sqaud for a new wave of players. Good luck with this season!

February 2015
SpoilerBild, 5th of February 2015
Hertha BSC announced two hours ago that they have sacked Jos Luhukay, the manager who brought them to the Bundesliga two years ago. The announcement came as a huge surprise because the Dutch manager had lead his team to ninth place in this season's league table. According to Hertha's board the departure was "a mutual agreement".
It took under an hour for Hertha BSC to announce Luhukay's replacement. The fan-favourite Pal Dardai, who was the board's option number one, didn't become the manager just by himself. The job was given to the 38 years old German man Simon Müller who spent the last three years as Luhukay's assistant and ten years before that as the coach of Hertha's U-21's, as well. The board will hope that the two men will have a good relationship with the players and that they can fight for the Europa League places.

In Müller's and Dardai's first game in charge Hertha BSC had an average performance against an average Mainz side. Both teams defended well but at the end Änis Ben-Hatira's cross found Salomon Kalou's head in the box and the ball found it's way into the net.
Hertha BSC 0 - 0 SC Freiburg
Just a dull game. Nothing to add.
Hertha BSC 2 - 0 Bayer Leverkusen
Kalou 58', 89'
Hertha's first game against a top five team under the new managers ended in a convinsing victory. Every player knew what to do and the home fans left the Olympiastadion full of joy. Hertha's defence had a good game and the keeper Thomas Kraft saved everything, including a penalty in the 67th minute. Salomon Kalou was also on fire, getting a brace and deciding the game in Hertha's favour.
VfL Wolfsburg 0 - 2 Hertha BSC
Stocker 5', Kalou 43'
Second top team in two games didn't seem to slow down the Hertha train. The away team got off to a great start when Valentin Stocker finished a powerful shot into the top right corner of the net only five minutes into the game. Forty minutes later the in-form striker Salomon Kalou scored the second goal of the game from a counter attack.
Hertha BSC 3 - 0 FC Augsburg
Ronny 31', Haraguchi 72', Kalou 90'
With this win Hertha BSC went through a whole month without losing a single game and they only lost two points under the command of the two new managers. Augsburg didn't play well enough and Hertha controlled the game. The first goal was scored by Ronny after a good counter attack. Forty minutes later Genki Haraguchi got his first goal of the season with a tap in and Salomon Kalou netted his 11th of the season in stoppage time.

Man, I have missed Germany. This was the first post of the Hertha BSC career that I'll try to post next to my Oxford one. We'll see where that goes. Also, Hertha lost in the DFB Pokal round of 16 to HSV (I think) during the simulation to February. I must admit, I'm a bit disappointed that they were in 9th place.
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!
Hertha are back! I'm looking forward to seeing these updates again! Except for the boring game against Freiburg, you've had a solid month and you've conceeded no goals throughout that month which is very impressive! (I couldn't do that for the life of me!)
Good luck with the rest of the season!

SkyBet Championship Match:
Charlton Athletic 1 – Exeter City 2
EXE – Saiz Alonso (15’)Reece Brown sprints down the left and cuts the ball back to Alonso who’s on the edge of the box. He has enough time to stop the ball in its tracks and hit the ball along the ground and into the bottom left corner.
EXE – Appiah (21’)Glen Mabil boots the ball up field to Feudjou who knocks the ball down to Appiah on the half-way line. Appiah flicks the ball past the last defender and uses his pace to break away. Appiah runs into the box. The keeper rushes out but the ball is smuggled underneath his body and Exeter City are now two in front.
CHA – Tucudean (72’)Vetokele easily turns Gomez and he puts the ball into the empty space for George Tucudean to open up his body and tuck it away. Maybe Charlton can get back in this now.
EXE – Lopéz Ruano (RED) (81’)Franck Moussa is tackled by Ruano. He is then pulled back by Moussa and is shoulder barged of the ball. Ruano stumbles and tries to get the ball but ends up catching him from behind and it’s somehow a straight red.

EXE – Feudjou (47’)The ball is booted into the box by Inters Konate to allow Feudjou to nod the ball past the keeper and into the corner.
CAR – Brayford (Two Yellows) (51’)Brayford got his first yellow in forty-second minute for failing to get the ball from Allassani and the second is for a very similar incident where Allassani nudges the ball just a little to far for the right-back to reach after sliding in.
Bee will be happy with the clean sheet.
Our Best Performer: Glen Mabil
SkyBet Championship Match:
Barnsley 1 – Exeter City 2
BAR – Máyor (6’)James Bailey squares the ball to Máyor who delays his run before turning and sprinting dangerously into the box. Joseph Gomez slides in but the attacker cuts in before curling the ball around the keeper and into the corner.
EXE – Brown (16’)The ball is cleared up field by a strong Ryan Inniss header. The ball falls to Reece Brown on the half-way line and he rushes towards the goal. He does a little dummy before taking the ball past the keeper and rolling the ball across the line.
EXE – Cowan-Hall (72’)Benjamin Feudjou chests the ball down in the box and then nudges the ball along the ground for Paris Cowan-Hall to absolutely smash the ball into the top of the net.
Our Best Performer: Reece Brown
Dr Peter Riou (Senior Physiotherapist):“Tim Payne will be out for 2 months with a Broken Rib. This happened during an international match with New Zealand.” (Will be replaced by Ajeti)
SkyBet Championship Match:
Exeter City 2 – Derby County 2
DER – Martin (43’)The ball is cleared away but Cyrus Christie gets the ball and lobs it into the box where the unmarked Chris Martin who takes a touch and smashes it past Mabil.
EXE – Dean (PEN) (44’)Exeter City start the game off and a simple one-two with Feudjou allows Ajeti to sprint dangerously towards the defence. He flicks the ball to the right and charges into the box where he’s clattered into by the sliding challenge of Craig Forsyth. Craig gets a yellow as Aaron Dean places the ball on the spot. Dean runs up to the ball and smashes it into the top left corner. The keeper dives well and gets a touch to it but the power is just too much.
DER – Coutts (45’)Wow. Three goals in three minutes! Moore-Taylor loses the ball on the edge of the area and Paul Coutts unleashes a very skilful shot around Ruano and around the keeper and into the top right corner.
EXE – Appiah (86’)The keeper passes to one of his defenders from a free-kick and Feudjou instantly tackles the defender. Feudjou back-heels the ball across goal for Appiah to neatly finish.
Our Best Performer: Kwabena Appiah
I would just like to take this opportunity to discuss the changes I made to my team in preparation for the QPR match. We had been conceding way too many goals and especially against tougher opponents. This is why I have drastically changed my formation and tactics for this game. From a 4-1-3-2 I changed to a flat 5-4-1, in the ‘Ultra Defensive’ mindset and a counter attacking style of play. This allows Tamás and Ruano to push forward in their wing-back positions but also nicely slot into the defensive line of Moore-Taylor, Ryan Inniss and Joseph Gomez when having to defend. Having this, allows me to dispossess QPR whilst soaking up the pressure and going on the counter attack quickly. I’ve chosen Liam Sercombe and Saiz Alonso as the central midfielders because they are reliable and won’t bomb up the field for no reason. They also have very accurate passes which means they can feed the ball to the wingers in tight situations. Reise Allassani and Cowan-Hall can then break with tremendous pace! Lastly, I’ve chosen Appiah to lead the front line. He’s quick and he will be able to run past the defenders while also being able to get onto the end of a cross from the wingers. Hopefully it works as I have never done this before.
F.A Cup Match:
QPR 2 – Exeter City 3
QPR – Austin (RED) (32’)Exeter City have been given a big chance to advance into the quarter finals after Leroy Fer squares the ball to Charlie Austin on the edge of the Exeter box. Sercombe jumps between the man and the ball and muscles Austin off the ball. As soon as Sercombe tries to get it clear, Austin slides through the back off Liam Sercombe in anger. Sercombe is taken to the sidelines for treatment as the striker literally sees red.
QPR – Phillips (43’)Matt Phillips gets too much space deep in the box as Samba Diakité passes to him. Phillips spins around before placing the ball into the left corner.
EXE – Cowan-Hall (PEN) (47’)A throw-in is simply delivered into the box for Allassani to control the ball, turn and run at the keeper. Alejandro Faurlín tries to recover after being beaten by Allassani but all he does is slide through the back of the man and give away a penalty. A tense moment for QPR as the referee jogs up towards Faurlín, obviously reaching for a card, and it’s a yellow. Surely QPR would have been in a serious condition with two men sent off! Cowan-Hall steps up for the penalty and he gets it in the very top left corner. No keeper could have saved it and now Exeter have their equaliser!
QPR – Taarabt (80’)QPR go on the counter attack with Matt Phillips. He skips past a challenge before giving the ball to Taarabt who dances past Moore-Taylor and Joseph Gomez to finish into the bottom left corner.
EXE – Feudjou (81’)Exeter start the game off again and attack ferociously with a string of offensive runs and nippy passes. Sercombe sprints down the wing and cuts back inside to pass to Feudjou on the edge of the box. He turns and flicks the ball past the sliding challenge of Nedum Onuoh. He manages to run into the box where he opens up his body to neatly finish past Stéphane Ruffier and into the bottom left corner after coming on just five minutes ago!
EXE – Appiah (83’)QPR start the game off and instantly lose the ball. Exeter attack ferociously and all the QPR defence can do is track back and try to fill in any holes before they get exploited. Feudjou, on the half-way line slots the ball through the defence perfectly for Kwabena Appiah who sprints towards goal. Stéphane Ruffier rushes from his line to put Appiah off but he shows great composure to ready himself and then place the ball into the bottom right corner. Can Exeter hold on?!
Yes! Yes they can!
Our Best Performer: Paris Cowan-Hall (I’d just like to say that the team played amazingly as a collection. It was difficult, but I chose Cowan-Hall because he kept getting past Yun Suk Young time after time. It’s a shame that we did concede two goals but I’m willing to admit that they were errors by me and not that anyone was out of position or anything. I might use that formation and those tactics a little more! )
SkyBet Championship Match:
Leicester City 2 – Exeter City 2
LEI – James (27’)Anthony Knockaert whips the ball in from a corner from the left and Matty James beats Moore-Taylor in the air to tuck the ball into the near post for the lead.
EXE – Appiah (35’)Liam Sercombe intercepts the ball on the half-way line and threads a great through ball into the path of Appiah who tries to curl it around the keeper but it’s saved. The rebound falls straight back to Appiah who then easily finishes it for the equaliser.
EXE – Sercombe (54’)Liam Sercombe collects the ball on the half-way line and sprints into the opposition half. He’s ushered onto the left wing but he cuts back inside and makes his way into the box where he smashes the ball and beats the keeper at his near post. Great individual skill shown by the captain!
LEI – Nugent (62’)Ryan Watson whips the ball into the back post where David Nugent rises above his marker to beat the keeper at his near post once again.
Our Best Performer: Liam Sercombe

Youth Academy:
Anthony Arce Jr. (United States) 16 years old 45-55 OVR 71-91 POT
- Anthony Arce Jr. is looking like a promising defender. He’s left-footed and he stands at a tall 6’3 which will be helpful at the back. Unfortunately, not much is known about him at the minute as he is a new graduate to the youth squad but time will soon tell.
Press Conference:
Q: We have recently seen you switch to a five-four-one formation in your last few games. Could you tell us why you chose this formation and why you changed it in the first place?
A: I decided that we were letting in a few more goals than what I was expecting. It is very
understandable due to the calibre of the teams in this league but we were letting in a little too many. I decided to change to a more defensive formation but exploit our speed on the counter-attack. This allows me to play Jordan (Moore-Taylor) whilst allowing Appiah to stay up front and play Paris (Cowan-Hall) and Reise (Allassani) on the wings which kept everyone happy.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
It's good to see Hertha's crest back on this thread! Also nice to see that you hare going to have a bit of a struggle to bring them to the top. They have a pretty solid squad, just need a little bit of developing and a few key additions and you can start to really challenge at the top of the league.
In this episode, we're moving deeper into our cup competitions, as we host PSV in a Europa League Round of 16 first leg clash before Arsenal come to the Boleyn for a massive FA Cup Quarterfinal.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PwVZsVoITJw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
Big goals from Carroll in both games. It's a shame that both games were at home so you will have to go on the road for the reverse fixtures. Really unlucky goal on the 2nd goal from Arsenal off of that deflection it looked like. Hope to see you moving on in both competitions though, especially as it's starting to get closer and closer to the final.
Really solid month and you were able to go unbeaten with only 2 draws being where you dropped some points. You are doing well to be on top of the table, but you don't have much separation from the rest. That's a good sign that the competition is getting harder considering how much you won league 1 and league 2 by. Still a few months left, but I am looking forward to you clenching one of those promotion spots!

First game of the month was against Wolfsburg, and I knew that we needed to start taking points again in order to maintain our place with the rest of the teams. We started off quite well, as we were keeping De Bruyne out of the game and letting Maxim run wild on their side of the pitch.
I felt that it was only a matter of time, before Maxim would bag one in. And just was we hit them on a counter, Maxim took a great step past the defender and put it in the bottom left corner. As time went on, we were building up pressure and making moves. The team looked very well focused and everything seemed to click to our favour.
Second half, our luck struck again, as some great movement by Maxim and a terrific pass got Drmic open in the box, where he put it away safely. The second goal took everything out from Wolfsburg, and it was enough to secure the victory.

After a good win, we went up against Bremen at home. I made a few changes in defense, since I knew we were the favorites in this game and we would not be pressured as much. Now, the defensive side of things, the game was fine. Werder did not have plenty of chances. However, they were sitting back and not letting us get a good chance to score. They came to our stadium to play for the draw, and it was working.
Maxim had a good chance that hit the bar. Drmic managed to score from a cross, but it was called offside later on. We didn't have plenty of chances, I mean, we had more then them, but it was not enough to get a goal, so the game ended in a goalless draw.

Our third game of the month was against Augsburg. I didn't know what to expect from the game, but when Maxim played Drmic through and he put it past the keeper very early in the game, it seemed like good things were on our way. Yet a few minutes and a cross into the box, Hojbjerg scored a great header to tie the game up.
The team was still hungry for goals, so we looked really good; creating chances, trying to catch them in the counter. It took us a bit of time, but a cross from Harnik finished exactly on Drmic, who headed it to Maxim. Alexandru took a slight chip over the keeper and gave us the lead again. We didn't give up a there, as another great pass by Maxim gave Drmic a great chance to score his second. He fought off the defender and took the shot. It was a bit lucky, going through the keepers legs, yet a goal nevertheless.
Just before half-time, we scored another one, as a cross from Harnik was headered by Herrmann to give us a three goal lead. I took off Maxim and Drmic at the start of the second half, to give others some playing time aswell.
Second half was not as interesting, as we did create chances, yet nothing too big to actually score. Bobadilla did managed to bag one in the end, as he showed some good trickery in our box to get open and hit in the top right corner. Fortunately, it was too late to actually make a difference.

Last game of the month was against Freiburg and I was hoping to finish the month well. The first half was rather boring, but luckily, in the second half, we managed to take the lead, as some good passing play got Maxim into the box, where he put it in with ease.

Last month of action and we had to play against Schalke. I wanted to secore our second spot and finish well, so I knew that taking points against a tough team is vital.
Yet the play in the Veltins arena was quite different. They kept coming at us and got really close to scoring. Huntelaar missed a sitter and Draxler managed to put it past an open net. Somehow, someway, we were still in it in the first half. Just before the end of the half, Matip hit the crossbar. Things were looking bad, so I was hoping that second half we could play like we usually do.
But when they got on an attack and Boateng chipped the ball to Meyer, it was an easy goal. Ulreich was somehow out of position and the whole defense had no chance. We looked terrible and our attacks did not finish with a shot. The better team, by far, won the match.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
A great first season, and so close to 2nd! Bayern is still a step above everyone else it seems though, but it gives you some work to do in order to catch up with him in the next few seasons. Maxim was outstanding for you all year and you have a great young core of players to build around. Can't wait to see what changes you make to the squad for next season and hopefully you will get right up there with Bayern soon enough.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Ha Ho He
March 2015
VfB Stuttgart 0 - 1 Hertha BSC
Kalou 38'
A tough away game against Cruzerr's Stuttgart side was the first of the three games this month for Hertha BSC. Both teams had some chances but Ulreich and Kraft were in top form. Salomon Kalou's curling shot a few minutes before half time was enough to decide the game in Hertha's favour.
Hertha BSC 3 - 2 FC Schalke 04
Ben-Hatira 19', Fährmann 32' OG, Kalou 45'
Huntelaar 73', Boateng 90'
This game against the top team Schalke was the first game under the new managers in which the Berliners conceded a goal. The first half was dominated by the home side and Änis Ben-Hatira scored the first goal after cutting in under twenty minutes into the match. About fifteen minutes later Salomon Kalou's shot got parried by Ralf Fährmann but the keeper somehow managed to hit the ball into his own net. Right before half time the Ivorian striker got his goal with a powerful shot into the bottom left. The second half on the other hand was controlled by Schalke and they even managed to pull two goals back in the last twenty minutes. First Klaas-Jan Huntelaar headed the ball into the net and after that Kevin Prince Boateng curled the ball into the bottom right corner. Luckily for Hertha it wasn't enough and they got the three points.
Hamburger SV 0 - 2 Hertha BSC
Stocker 68', Kalou 75'
The last game of the month started off evenly as both teams defended well and neither team created many chances. In the second half Hertha woke up and Valentin Stocker broke the deadlock with a curling shot. Seven minutes later Salomon Kalou stole the ball from HSV's defender and scored successfully.
Player of the Month
Salomon Kalou
The Ivorian striker receives his second player of the month award in a row after another good month. Kalou was dangerous in attack once again and he scored a goal in every game of the month. He also rose to second in the goal chart and he is now a goal behind Thomas Müller.
Hot or Not
Hot
Salomon Kalou
The 29 year old striker has found his top form under the new managers Pal Dardai and Simon Müller and he has been deciding many games with his goals.
Valentin Stocker
The Swiss winger, who was converted to an attacking midfielder this month, has been playing well since Jos Luhukay got sacked. He created many chances in March and he scored one himself. Stocker has some talent in potential in him and he can reach that soon.
Sebastian Langkamp
Sebastian Langkamp, who is the starting centre back of the team next to John Anthony Brooks, has become a solid and reliable defender in these past two months. His marking and tackling have been top level and he stopped many dangerous attacks.
Not
Genki Haraguchi
The 23 years old winger hasn't been performing well lately. He loses the ball often, he fails to get past defenders and his shooting has been horrific, missing two one-on-ones, an empty net and he even gave the ball away for a throw in from a... shot, I guess.
Bundesliga Table
1. Borussia Dortmund, 61 pts
2. Bayern München, 58 pts
3. Borussia Mönchengladbach, 53 pts
4. VfL Wolfsburg, 47 pts
5. Bayer Leverkusen, 46 pts
6. Hertha BSC, 45 pts
------------------------------------------
16. Werder Bremen, 25 pts
17. 1899 Hoffenheim, 22 pts
18. SC Paderporn, 13 pts
Headlines
Amazing Form: After Hertha BSC changed their manager in the beginning of February we have overperformeda lot. Wins against Leverkusen, Wolfsburg and Schalke, two conceded goals and zero defeats is the current record of our two new managers. The fans are hoping that the team can continue it's current form and fight in the Europa League, or even in the Champions League, next season (note: I will try to play a few games on Legendary to see if I find it fun and more challenging).
Salomon Kalou: Our Ivorian star has been the best striker of the league in these two past months and he managed to score eight goals in eight games, coming off the bench in two of them. Hopefully he can continue to perform this way.
Manager(s) of the Month: Pal Dardai and Simon Müller have become the first co-managers in the Bundesliga history to become the managers of the month. The two men have been amazing for the club so far and huge offers from big clubs can be expected to come for them in the summer.
I know this update wasn't an Oxford one but I just really feel like playing with Hertha now. There are three possibilities how this will go down: 1. I'll post one more Hertha update before posting an Oxford one, 2. I'll finish the season with Hertha before posting a few Oxford updates and 3. The next update will be an Oxford one. I think that the third option is the least likely. I'm sorry if you are a fan of the Oxford career but I really want to play with Hertha right now.
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

Not the best of months but it was still a good one. You're still doing very well in the league and automatic promotion is looking possible. Even if you don't stay in the top two I still think that you'll get promoted.

Baldé 19'

Liga Adelante

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
[CENTER]Big goals from Carroll in both games. It's a shame that both games were at home so you will have to go on the road for the reverse fixtures. Really unlucky goal on the 2nd goal from Arsenal off of that deflection it looked like. Hope to see you moving on in both competitions though, especially as it's starting to get closer and closer to the final.Check out my Pitt Panthers Dynasty (NCAA Football 14)
