    Season 1

    November

    BPL
    Southampton 2-0 Leicester City

    Simmed

    BPL
    Aston Villa 2-1 Southampton

    Fonte 16
    Weimann 65
    Benteke 89

    This game ended the same way it started but with different results. Benteke had the first shot of the game in the first minute but was denied by Forster. Fonte headed in Ward-Prowse's corner after the visitors dominated the game. But the Saints couldn't kill the game off and allowed Villa to come back into the game. Weimann equalised after Benteke's shot hit the post and he was left with an open net. But Benteke wouldn't miss his chance in the 89th minute with a powerful header to win it for the home team.

    BPL
    Southampton 2-2 Man City

    Tadic(pen) 21
    Fernando 43
    Jovetic 50
    Mane 82

    This was a very entertaining game and a draw was probably the right result. Tadic opened the scoring from the spot after Kompany fouled Tadic just inside the box. The visitors dominated the first half and finally got their goal through Fernando's header. And they took the lead when Nasri's cross was tapped in by Jovetic. The Saints took control of the game as they looked for the equaliser. And they finally equalised in the 82nd minute when Tadic's corner was headed in by Mane.

    December fixture list
    Capital One Cup: Man City H
    BPL: Man Utd H
    BPL: Burnley A
    BPL: Arsenal A
    BPL: Palace A
    BPL: Chelsea H

        Out on Loan

        CM - Nick Awford (54)

        * Denotes Youth Academy Graduate

        Defense - The back line's first priority is of course defense, but each of the outside players are encouraged to overlap on the attack and provide added support to send in crosses and occasionally to cut the ball inside for a shot of their own. Each of the center backs are defense only, and will only venture forth for set pieces.

        Midfield - Three midfielders, three different roles. James Dunne starts as the only holding midfielder. Even though he isn't a defensive specialist it is his job to distribute from deep and the be the direct link between the back line and the rest of the field. He is set to always stay back while we are attacking. Nigel Atangana is also an option here and is more of a true defensive midfielder. Marlon Pack takes on a box-to-box role, and his stats fit it well as he is an effective defender as well as a solid attacker from the midfield. Danny Hollands is also a great fit here and has high/high work rates to really suit the role. George Francomb plays in the "number 10" role and is tasked with being a creative presence to both distribute and score goals of his own. He has spent his entire career on the outside, so this is an experiment, but he seems to have the ideal attributes needed for what we see this role as.

        Attack - Jed Wallace on the right is a capable goal scorer and will be relied on to beat the defense and send in crosses from the right side. Bradford Jamieson IV is the lone striker, and he is the go to guy to lead the counter attack with his quick pace. His job is to try to get behind the defense while the rest of the team threads the ball through for him to outrun the back line. Manuel Hahn plays a similar role to Wallace, but on the left. He is relied on slightly more as a goal scorer similar to Barcham's role last season from the same position.

Any trip into the city usually has 2-3 incidents along the 40-minute journey, mostly on the metro or bus. I haven't had any problems once I'm in the actual city, but I've been spending most of my time at museums and coffee shops.

          I've also been sucked into The Witcher: Wild Hunt, so much so that it's been ages since I've even touched FIFA. I do plan to keep up my career mode with Sunderland, which is at around mid-September, but there won't be much flourish or creativity. It'll just be major news, results and a monthly table. And at the end of each season, I'll do a detailed season review and preview. Sorry about this, but between life and work, I just don't have the kind of time I used to.

          Thanks for the update man it's great to hear you're doing alright. It sounds like you're enjoying Russia the way I would if I moved there: museums, coffee, and video games lol. I take it Witcher is good? I didn't really care for the previews until I saw the box at a store. Looks like an interesting open world game.

          The racism bit actually doesn't surprise me since its Russia. During one of your incidents you should try asking one of them how they feel about the U.S. legalizing gay marriage. I think that would be a good ice breaker. It may not do much about the hostile environment, but hey it'll at least get their racist thoughts on hold for a bit lol. In all seriousness though, I hope you find a way to avoid any more of those encounters.

            FIFA World Cup - Group B
            1. Spain - 0 points
            2. Hungary - 0 points
            3. Mexico - 0 points
            4. Uruguay - 0 points

            Spain 2 - 1 Mexico
            SPA: Alcacer 20' Susaeta 25'
            MEX: Torres 90'
            A terrible start for Mexico in the World Cup opener against the 2010 world champion Spain. Chavez had had a bumpy relationship with the Spanish national team leading up to this match as he criticized the manager's capability because Osasuna's Guillermo, the only Spanish striker in the top 3 Liga BBVA top scorers, was not called up by Spain. He questioned whether the Spanish strikers at the World Cup truly were the best Spain had to offer and was persistent that Guillermo should have been in the squad. Paco Alcacer made Chavez eat his own words in the 20th minute though with a powerful header off a corner kick that put Spain in the lead. Alcacer made it a point to celebrate near Chavez's bench. Only five minutes later Bilbao's Susaeta made it 2-0 off a rebound and Mexico looked really bad now. The entire team wasn't working. Chicharito would often drop to midfield to make it easier for his teammates to link up with him, but Hernandez is a man you want near the box at all times. Carlos Vela struggled when Hernandez left him alone up front, but if Hernandez didn't drop the midfield would never give the strikers the ball. All around the pitch it was absolutely terrible for Mexico. Near the end of the match Chavez substituted off Hernandez and replaced him with Erick "Cubo" Torres, specifically instructing him not to drop to midfield like Hernandez. Cubo made an impact straightaway by winning aerial balls as Mexico focused on attacking through the wings in the closing minutes. In the final play of the match Jürgen Damm sprinted down the right wing after dribbling past him marker and pin pointed Torres with a cross. Cubo was marked by Fabregas but he beat the Chelsea player with superior positioning and headed the ball past David De Gea.

            We knew it was over and there was no chance Mexico could equalize with the time remaining, but Chavez and his team still celebrated that goal as if it were an equalizer. The goal would mean Mexico would have a -1 goal difference instead of -2, and in a group stage your goal difference can either send you to the next round or send you back home.

            Hungary 3 - 3 Mexico
            MEX: Hernandez 19' 45' Corona 60'
            HUN: Kovacs 37' Szalai 54' Kovacs 77'
            Many thought this would be easy 3 points for Mexico, but the Hungarians came out inspired and put in an incredible match against Mexico. The Mexicans started on the right foot though, with Jürgen Damm beating his marker on the wing like in the last match and dribbling all the way to the end line. It looked like the ball would go out of bounds for a goal kick but the German-Mexican winger managed to cross the ball right at the last moment. Chicharito cut in front of his marker with perfect timing and headed the ball into the net!!

            You simply cannot let Hernandez head from that distance because you know for sure he's going to slam it into the net. Kovacs would equalize for Hungary in the 37th minute off a rebound inside Mexico's box, but Hernandez put Mexico back in the lead just before halftime. Hungary had been pushing forward aggressively and the Mexican defense cleared the ball far up the pitch. Jesus Corona brought the clearance down in midfield and dribbled forward but as soon as he saw Hernandez making his run he send him a through ball. Mexico's top goal scorer of all time did not disappoint as he drifted wide, cut back inside into the box between two defenders and then put a powerful shot into the net to retake the lead.

            Mexico were winning but Chavez still looked worried on the sideline and with good reason, since Szalai would equalize for Hungary just 9 minutes into the second half with a volley. Just six minutes later Hungary's defense would make a terrible mistake that allowed Hernandez to tackle the ball away and then put Corona one on one against the goalkeeper. Corona took a hard left footed shot on goal that hit the inside post and bounced back into the net. Mexico were back in the lead!

            Kovacs completed his brace in the 77th minute with a header and made it all equal again. Hungary didn't stop there though and they were extremely close to netting a last minute winner but the post saved Mexico's life. Chavez was just barely able to hang on to the draw against Hungary, which only raises even more doubts among the Mexico supporters.

            Mexico vs Uruguay
            This is it. The final match in the group stage. At this point Spain and Uruguay are through to the next round with 4 points each, while Mexico and Hungary are out with only 1 point. Hungary could go through by defeating Spain, but that's a difficult road for them despite putting in a fantastic match against Mexico. Mexico still have hope in the competition though. They need to defeat Uruguay, no exceptions. Uruguay and Mexico both share a -1 goal difference, so a win by 2 goals for Mexico would secure a spot in the knockout stage. A win by only 1 goal could take them through as well, but the tie breaker would have to be settled by total goals scored since the goal difference would be equal. A draw or a defeat would send Mexico back home and Uruguay to the next round. A difficult test for Chavez who's been struggling lately and his job is on the line since he is expected to reach the Semifinal. The pressure may be getting to Chavez, and he has made adjustments to his squad. Mexico will not be fielding the 3-5-2 formation they've been using since Chavez arrived, and instead they will return to a 5-3-2 formation. Similar formations, only with two wing backs instead of two wide midfielders. Also, #13 GK Guillermo Ochoa (82 OVR) has been sent to the bench for this match, and instead #1 Alfredo Talavera (77 OVR) will make his first appearance in the World Cup. A risky move to change goalkeepers in the most important match for Mexico.

            ~~~~~~~~~~
            Mexico 0 - 1 Uruguay
            URU: Suarez 14'
            It started off with Luis Suarez putting Uruguay in the lead with a powerful low volley in the 14th minute after his teammate headed a cross to him inside the box. Mexico was a step closer to elimination so Chavez immediately shouted at his players to get their heads in the game and push forward. Chicharito heard his coach and tried to get into the box for a scoring chance but he was taken down by Abero's slide tackle! The referee saw his chance to make the headlines and showed Abero a direct red card!!! Uruguay's players crowded the referee arguing against the sending off but the referee was held his ground. Finally after regaining control of the match the referee set up the penalty. Chicharito stepped up and shot to the right, but Muslera saved it!! We couldn't believe it but the ball went high into the air and when it dropped Chicharito headed in the rebound.
            Mexico 1 - 1 Uruguay
            URU: Suarez 14'
            MEX: Hernandez PEN 20'
            URU: Abero RED CARD 17'
            Muslera had almost became the hero of the match but he wasn't able to stop Hernandez's second shot. Mexico had everything set up to complete their exploit but Uruguay was not about to give up their ticket to the knockout stage. They were really making Mexico suffer despite being a man down and at times they would even threaten to take the lead themselves. Chavez began to get desperate in the closing minutes and the formation was changed from 5-3-2 to 4-3-3 Attack. He also put all the meat on the grill by having Chicharito (ST), Vela (LW), Corona (CAM), Fabian (LCM), and Davila (RCM) all on the field at the same time with Jürgen Damm in an attacking role (RW). Without a defensive midfielder on the field it became difficult to recover the ball and Uruguay saw it as an opportunity to take the lead. Mexico just couldn't get a touch on the ball which only made them even more desperate. In the final play of the match, the very last opportunity for either team to score, Mexico's defenders won the ball back and passed it Ulises Davila. Davila didn't waste any time and sprinted to the attacking third. He passed it to Chicharito who held it at the edge of the box looking to play it safe. Marco Fabian made an overlapping run from behind Chicharito to the right side of the box and Hernandez gave him the ball with a through ball. Fabian stepped into the box, with Muslera coming out and everybody in the stadium shouting "Shoot!!! Take the shot!!!" Fabian took a heavy touch on the ball and it looked like it would be tackled away by the defender but he slid in and took the shot with a slide! The ball had nothing but power behind, no attempt of placement at all, and it skyrocketed into the back of the net!!!!
            Mexico 2 - 1 Uruguay
            URU: Suarez 14'
            MEX: Hernandez PEN 20' Fabian 90'
            URU: Abero RED CARD 17'
            Mexico have done it!!! They needed a win to at least have a chance at going through and they barely managed to obtain it in the final minute of the game! What a match! Fabian barely reached the corner flag when his teammates on the field and on the bench crowded him and jumped on top of him. Unbelievable! After a difficult international break leading up to the World Cup and a difficult start to the World Cup, Mexico now had a shot at advancing to the next round!!
            FIFA World Cup - Group B Final Standing
            1. Spain - 7 points (+5)
            2. Mexico - 4 points (+0) (6 GF)
            3. Uruguay - 4 points (+0) (4 GF)
            4. Hungary - 1 point (-5)
            Thoughts
            I honestly didn't think the group stage would be that complicated. We suffered more than we should have and if I start noticing some gray hairs on my head I blame FIFA. It'll only get more complicated from here since we are scheduled to face Italy, the 2006 World Champions, in the next round. I plan to keep the same 5-3-2 formation that I used against Uruguay. For some reason the 3-5-2 hasn't been working anymore and I actually liked how the 5-3-2 worked out. I usually adjust the CM to become CDM and my main concern is that once the opponent has the ball he doesn't get any pressure until I pull one of my centre backs. This time I did not adjust the CM and instead left him as is only with the instruction to stay behind while attacking and I really liked it. I didn't have that same problem anymore and in fact Vazquez (CM) finished with a 8.2 match rating before I subbed him out for a more attacking player. He's still a little behind the other two center midfielders but he's not as far back as a CDM anymore. Another thing I liked is that the attacking third doesn't get as crowded with the 5-3-2 like it did with the 3-5-2 which gives my midfielders and strikers more room to work with. This is how the team will come out against Italy.
            Not many changes as far as instructions go. The RWB/LWB are instructed to always overlap of course, and Hernandez's instructions have been changed to "stay central" and "get in behind." I found that with the get in behind instruction he stays close to the back line and his speed makes him very dangerous. Everything else remains the same.
            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

            World Cup - Round of 16
            Italy 1 - 3 Mexico
            MEX: Hernandez 35' 45' Torres 89'
            ITA: Rossi 77'
            A very tense match with two teams that run pretty much the same formation. Italy came out with a 3-5-2 very similar to the one Mexico had been using until changing to a 5-3-2 which is still the same, only with wing backs instead of wide midfielders. With both teams running very similar formations we were given a first half without many shots, but A LOT of action in midfield. Neither team was risking too much going forward until Jürgen Damm dribbled past El Shaarawy and sprinted down the right wing. He crossed the ball into the box where Chicharito Hernandez, of course, beat his marker with superior positioning and headed the ball past the Italian goalkeeper Sirigu.

            Mexico was up 1-0 and the fans went wild! El Tri had just taken a step towards the fabled Quinto Partido (the fifth match). The players were pumped too and right before halftime Chicharito extended the lead again! Hector Herrera sent a through ball from midfield and Hernandez used his speed and close dribbling to run past Italy's back three and beat Sirigu again with a powerful right footed shot!

            The first half ended with Mexico high in the clouds dreaming of reaching the Quarter Finals of the World Cup, a round reached only twice (1970 and 1986, both hosted by Mexico). Rossi, not De Rossi, began to cloud that dream in the 77th minute by beating Alfredo Talavera and getting one back for Italy. The Italians were going all out attack now and pushed hard for the equalizer. Erick "Cubo" Torres secured the Quarter Finals though after Marco Fabian lobbed the ball to him and he put it into the back of the net with excellent finishing.

            Mexico are through to the Quarter Finals, but now the competition begins to get even more tense. Mexico will face the 2014 World Cup champions Germany, who humiliated Argentina in the Round of 16 with a 3-0 scoreline.

            World Cup - Quarter Final
            Mexico 1 - 1 Germany
            GER: Gotze 69'
            MEX: Hernandez PEN 84'
            According the scoreline nothing could separate the two teams, but on the field we saw a completely different story. Mexico's 5-3-2 completely overpowered Germany's 4-2-3-1 and Germany's current top scorer Peterson was completely neutralized by the Mexican defenders. Mexico threatened to score over and over again but the German goalkeeper Leno was having an absolutely fantastic match and was the only reason Mexico couldn't get ahead. Carlos Vela and Javier Hernandez were tearing Germany's defenders apart, but Leno was always there to save the day. Mario Gotze came on in the second half for Germany and shocked viewers worldwide when he netted Germany's first shot on goal in the 69th minute. Yes, you read that right, Germany's FIRST SHOT of the match didn't come until the 69th minute!! It was enough to beat Talavera though and Gotze was the hero of Germany. Mexico changed formation to a 3-4-3 Diamond and now we got to see an extremely aggressive Mexico pushing for an equalizer. El Tri was running out of time and they pushed forward with everything they had. Hernandez, Vela, Corona, Davila, and Fabian were all on the field together. Mexico finally saw a light in the 84th minute as Jerome Boateng took down Hernandez inside the box with a slide tackle and a penalty was called in Mexico's favor! Everyone was on their feet and Hernandez stepped up to take it. All the pressure was on him now. The ticket to the Semi Finals, a round Mexico has never been able to reach, was just 12 steps away with no one but Leno in front of him. Chicharito shot right, Leno dove towards it, but he just barely wasn't able to get his hands to it! Mexico had equalized!!

            *I had taken a photo of the foul but for some reason I couldn't find it on my phone anymore.

            The match went to extra times where Mexico really struggled due to the amount of attacking players they had on the field. Germany switched to a 5-4-1 formation and went all out attack with Boateng pushing forward to play as striker. 30 minutes wasn't enough to get a winner though, and the match would go to a penalty shoot-out.

            1. Hart (England) - 3 Clean Sheets
            Leno (Germany) - 3 Clean Sheets
            2. Courtois (Belgium) - 2 Clean Sheets
            Lloris (France) - 2 Clean Sheets

            Conclusion
            Unbelievable. The match against Germany was amazing, but they didn't deserve to win. We were completely on top during regular time, and as soon as I noticed Leno had become Superman I got worried. Then Gotze scored in Germany's first shot of the match, which I was completely expecting because of how great Leno was playing. We've all seen it happen on FIFA before. I had gotten my hopes up during the penalty shoot out but I wasn't entirely shocked so see Leno continue to own.

            With all the stress aside, the World Cup was extremely fun. 8 out of our 9 goals in the competition were scored by Guadalajara youth graduates which of course made me very happy I'm really looking forward to the next Friendlies now. Player ratings changed in May so I'm anxious to try out some new faces and start planning ahead to the next competition. I just hope I don't get fired though seeing as the board wanted me to reach the semifinals. Even if I get fired I will leave with my chin up. This was only the third time in history Mexico has reached the quarter final stage and the first time they have done it outside of Mexico.

            I return to Osasuna now. My next post will cover our preseason and any transfers completed before our season opener against RCD Espanyol. Until then,
            Thanks For Reading!

              What a brutal ending. To dominate a match against such a great opponent only to have them score like that. And then the penalty shoot out as well where you started it off with a save. Still, Mexico would have gone crazy if they had a World Cup performance like that and the fans would be calling you a national hero haha. Very well done, and even though it could have been so much more, that was one memorable tournament.

                West Ham United - Episode #98: NEW Result at OLD Trafford?!

                In this episode we bid adieu to the players who left in the transfer window, and we see our big signings make their debuts in a massive top 5 clash away at Old Trafford against Manchester United. Can we finally nick a result there?

                  Hull City
                  Season 1
                  December 2014

                  Objectives:
                  The league objective is to avoid relegation.
                  The Domestic Cup objective is to reach the Round of 32.

                  League Match
                  Everton 2 - 1 Hull City
                  Lukaku 41' 62'
                  Hernandez 80'

                  MOTM Lukaku

                  I was disappointed to lose this game after what had been a good month last month but we were out played. Everyone's first goal was a fantastic effort by Lukaku. He received the ball with his back to goal just outside the penalty area and was able to turn his defender and strike his shot. He would double the home teams lead just after the hour mark. This time Everton were playing the ball around looking for an opening. Soon enough our defense was split wide open and Barkley found the big Belgian wide open. Lukaku had an easy finish around Butland. We pulled one back through Hernandez. He was played down the right side and then cut in to finesse a shot to the back post. We were unable to complete the comeback though and the match ended with Everton in the lead.

                  League Match
                  Hull City 1 - 0 West Brom
                  Huddlestone 39'

                  MOTM Huddlestone

                  A tight match that our B Team played in because of the fatigue. In all honesty sew really didn't play that well, our passes were poor, our defending was shady and for the most part our shots were easy to deal with for Foster. The only good chance of the game fell in the 39'. Huddlestone got on the ball and ripped a shot from distance that flew into the net with a wicked dip.

                  Huddlestone's goal.

                  [b]League Match[/b[
                  Chelsea 1 - 0 Hull City
                  Cuadrado 18'

                  MOTM Oscar

                  I'm just gonna say we were lucky to only concede one goal in this match. The defending was terrible and it showed in the first goal. Two defenders attempted to clear the ball at the same time and knocked each other down. All Cuadrado had to do was take a touch and smash it past Butland.

                  League Match
                  Hull City 0 - 0 Swansea

                  MOTM Tremmel

                  We dominated this game but were unable to get the ball into the back of the net. We played with a new formation this game and we held on to the ball much better and created plenty of chances. Tremmel was just too good though and proved why he is starting over Fabianski. I was really hoping for the win and we come away disappointed.

                  League Match
                  Sunderland 1 - 3 Hull City
                  Benteke 37' 65' 90'
                  Defoe 42'

                  MOTM Benteke

                  A great game away at The Stadium of Light to come away with all three points. We took the lead through Benteke out muscled all of the Sunderland defenders and went on to finish past Pantilimon. They would equalize so after after Defoe was able to turn his man and fire off a shot that FLEW past Butland. We retook the lead five minutes after the hour mark. This time Benteke used some skill to take the ball wide and then cut in to smash the ball near post. He would complete his hat trick just before the final whistle when he was played through by Ramirez and hit it low and hard to the far post.

                  Benteke's first goal.

                  League Match
                  Hull City 2 - 2 Leicester City
                  Kramaric 20' 90'
                  Hernandez 69' (PEN) 78'

                  MOTM Hernandez

                  A tight match that saw both teams come away with a point to our disappointment. Leicester went ahead in the 20' when we made a mistake in back and he was 1v1 with Butland he hit it off the post. We equalized in with twenty minutes remaining, Aluko crossed the ball in and Hernandez got on the end of it with a diving header that barely redirected the ball past Schwarzer. In the 76' Munir got on the ball and took on his man, he beat him and then was taken down inside the box. Hernandez stepped up take the resulting penalty and converted with a powerful shot to the right of the keeper. Sadly we were unable to hold on to the lead and gave up two points in the dying moments when Kramaric was played through and once again beat Butland. Alex Bruce has torn his hip flexor and will be out for about six weeks.

                  Hernandez's diving header.

                  Table:

                  My Thoughts:

                  For the most part this month was good beside the draw with bottom of the table Leicester at home. The stand out game was the game against Sunderland, we played fantastic and I believe Benteke scored the first hat trick for us this season.

                  Next month in the transfer window I will be looking at some fullbacks, some wingers and a defensive midfielder. Our current starting fullbacks are good but I'm not happy with the back ups. Our winger situation is different, I like our wingers but neither of them is fast and I would like at least one of them to have some speed. Huddlestone is a good defensive midfielder but his stamina is so bad that he can't complete a match so he may be replaced or be used as a sub if I Can get someone in for a good price.

                  January Fixtures:
                  Everton (H) - League Match
                  Huddersfield (H) - FA Cup
                  West Ham (A) - League Match
                  West Brom (A) - League Match
                  Newcastle (H) - League Match

                    Yep, life is comfortable to say the least, as long as I don't need to travel into the city. I would say like most games, W3 has its good and its bad, but the good far outweighs the bad. Immersion, difficulty and depth of characters/story/creatures/world makes up for a few small bugs and a slightly irritating inventory system. I say get it if you can.

                    Yeah, gay marriage is probably not the best thing to talk about here. Far more people are openly against homosexuality than racism, and they're quite aggressive about it at times. One thing I've done is started carrying a hunting knife with me when I leave the suburbs. Bought one of those holsters to wear around my shin/ankle and everything! I haven't felt like my life has been in danger, but why wait?

                      SD EIBAR

                      Season 1

                      Preseason

                      My first month in charge was a rather uneventful one. We had limited funds, and my lack of experience with any of the players has led me to go on a trial and error system up until January at least. Our only purchase, a Colombian centre back called Yerry Mina. He signed on loan from Santa Fe for the season, as we were significantly lacking depth in this position.

                      EIBAR 0-2 REAL SOCIEDAD
                      Agirretxe 35’, Canales 75’

                      It was quite a disappointing start, but to be fair Moyes’ men deserved the win. We lacked creativity going forward, and while we looked reasonably solid in defence, we couldn’t handle to power of Agirretxe up front, who played very well.

                      ALETICO MADRID 2-2 EIBAR
                      Torres 51’, Matuidi 84’
                      Piovaccari 11’, 90’

                      What a point! We were tremendous in the first half, but when Matuidi scored I felt dismayed that we would lose the game. Some brilliant skill from Angel on the left wing, followed by a cross to the near post found Piovaccari’s head, beating Moya and giving us an unlikely point at the Vicente Calderon.

                      We made one more acquisition on deadline day, signing Christian Ceballos on a season long loan from Tottenham. A former club of mine, Ceballos showed to have potential, something that I hope he can start to fulfil back in his native country.

                      Ok so the transfer window is complete. We made two signings, both of which seem to cover the depth aspect of our squad as opposed to first team quality. However, we have had a few injuries in the first month, including Mikel Arruabarrena; a 5 month absentee with a broken tibia. Other niggles saw me envisage squad depth signings as more integral at this stage.

                      Considering the two sides we faced, I’m not too disappointed about our first month. The board want us to finish mid table, and if we play as well as we did against Atletico that will be achievable.

                      There are a few regulations I’m putting on this career. I want to rid the side of all non- Spanish/South American players by the end of season two. This won’t be hard as there are very few at this stage. I am also capping myself to no more than 6 transfers per window. This includes players going out. I will also only ever have 1 youth scout as I don’t want the side to be packed full of young talent whereas in reality, Eibar don’t have that facility.

                      We sit 18th after 2 games, but are ahead of Barcelona!! I’ll be looking to pick up a few more points in September however now that I’m getting used to the squad.

                        It's a shame about the racism you've encountered, but I can't say I didn't expect it. It was one of the first things I thought about when you said you were moving to Russia, but you obviously must have took it into consideration. At least it isn't bad where you live

                          Cech to Arsenal (FIFA 14 memories)

                          Ramos strongly linked to Manchester United.

                          Xherdan Shaqiri is very close to signing for Stoke!!!!!!!!

                          Imagine:

                          Shaqiri in an attacking three with Jon Walters and Peter Crouch with the legenday Charlie Adam behind them.

                            So, I lost interest in my Las Palmas career. However, I wanted to stay in Spain, and as a result, I will be switching over to Malaga.

                            Also, I finished my first season at Rubin. I'm going on vacation tomorrow, so the update probably won't be out until early next week.

                              League Cup Final

                              West Brom 0-1 Liverpool (aet)
                              Sturridge 105
                              We won our first trophy with a narrow victory after extra time over West Brom. West Brom had the first real chance, Mulumbu's shot being saved well by Leno. Anichebe later missed a great chance and our German keeper made another good save to deny Fletcher. Our first good chance came late on in the first half, Henderson firing just over from 30 yards. We were better in the second half, Sterling forcing Foster into an excellent double save before running clear and forcing another good save. Gerrard's shot from the edge of the box was stopped well and Coutinho's curling effort from the same distance hit the post. The match went into extra time and the deadlock was finally broken, Sturridge running clear to smash into the top corner. We won the cup!!!

                              Match 27

                              Liverpool 2-0 Burnley
                              Lambert 48
                              Markovic 73

                              The first half was dominated by Burnley, Mee missing the first great chance, slicing wide on the volley. A header by Marney was incredibly saved by Butland, tipping it onto the angle of post and bar with a fingertip save. Lallana put a diving header just over the bar towards the end of the half. Lambert gave us the lead after the break with a stunning 30 yard strike, into the top corner. Not very Lambert-esque. Markovic made it 2, a wonderful first time passing move resulting in Keita's wonderful cross field through ball which Markovic ran onto to fire into the corner. Butland made a good save late on, stopping a Zapater header.

                              Match 28

                              Liverpool 1-0 Manchester City
                              Sturridge 16
                              I can't believe it was only 1-0. Hart was a monster. 15 shots, 12 on target, to Man. City's 2 shots, 0 on target. We got the only goal when Clyne went on an incredible run after dispossessing Nasri, beating 2 defenders before trying to finish, only for Hart to make the save, but Sturridge fired in on the rebound. Clyne had another shot later on, Hart making another good save, and soon after, Balotelli forced another great save. There was a moment of chaos in the box, as the ball somehow failed to find the back of the net, with defenders falling over each other trying to get rid of it. Otamendi headed over twice from a corner. Hart made another sublime save to stop Sturridge, and then another to turn it onto the post. He was unbelievable.

                              Champions Last 16 Leg 2

                              Liverpool 1-1 CSKA Moskwa (2-1 agg)
                              Musa 6
                              Borini 115

                              Musa got an early goal for the Russian side, a wonderful passing move allowing him to run through and smash into the top corner. Butland made an excellent save to deny Wernbloom, stopping his powerful effort with one hand. Musa wasted multiple chances, and in the second half we came at them. Akinfeev made wonderful saves to deny Markovic and Can, and Musa managed to head a Can header off the line. Borini struck the post and Akinfeev made another good save to stop a Lallana strike, taking the game to extra time. We came very close through an acrobatic Lovren volley being tipped over the bar well by Akinfeev. We got the equaliser, and winner, through Borini, who ran clear and smashed into the top corner.

                              Downing 90

                              Downing opened the scoring with a powerful effort into the top corner. Carroll fired a shot wide from close range before we were finally able to attack. Brannagan had a good shot that was saved, but Borini followed up, firing in on the rebound. Valencia headed over the bar embarrassingly, the goal wide open in front of him. We took the lead when Lambert played Borini through and he feathered it into the bottom corner. Song equalised, smashing in from close range, and we went all out attack to try and avoid a replay. It was won for West Ham, 3 attacker through against our keeper, Butland had no chance and Downing bundled it in.

                              The first great chance of the game came to Dortmund, Kuba heading the ball goalwards for Butland to make an excellent diving save. Hummels headed over the bar from a corner after rising highest and beating Butland to the ball. We got the only goal with our only shot when Sturridge ran through, shrugging off the defence, to fire the ball across goal for Balotelli to slide the ball home. Sokratis fired wide at the end of the match but we take an advantage to Germany.
