MAKING THEM DREAM
SEASON 2
PS4
LEGENDARY
Milner Arrives At Anfield
James Milner, the England international with over 50 caps, has arrived at Liverpool's training ground, Melwood, to join up with his new teammates for pre-season training after agreeing to join in January. The versatile midfielder has joined on an £80,000 a week contract and is said to be stunned to sign for the reigning European champions.
Berni Joins Up With New Team-mates
Italian goalkeeper Tommaso Berni has arrived at Anfield to join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training. He had been brought in as further depth for the competitive duo of Bernd Leno and Jack Butland. However, sources from inside the club claim he could be in line for being the first team goalkeeper.
Southampton Star Joins Liverpool... Again!
Southampton and France midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has joined Liverpool for a £16 million fee on a £50,000 a week contract. After Southampton were surprisingly relegated, the star man who was the only light in their season put in a transfer request. Liverpool swooped in to sign another player from Southampton after the swoop of multiple players last summer. Morgan is quoted as saying "I am delighted to join a club of this stature and be playing European football. I hope playing for a club like this will put me back on the international map. I am grateful for Southampton for what they have done but I cannot play in the second division if I want to further my career."
Exodus of Young Players: Out on Loan
Liverpool have loaned out 4 young players, Samed Yesil, Andre Wisdom, youth academy product Jack Walker and, most surprisingly, Mateo Kovacic. With the signing of Schneiderlin, the manager decided to loan Kovacic out to help him develop as Morgan becomes first choice.
Match 1
Norwich 1-2 Liverpool
Balotelli 34
Odidja-Ofoe 67
Balotelli 73
This was the first game that Leno played well in a Liverpool shirt. He made an excellent save early on to stop Odidja-Ofoe and then another to deny Jerome. Ruddy made a good save to deny a Sturridge header. Redmond had a great chance but Leno saved it and the youngster headed over on the rebound. Balotelli gave us the lead, curling in after Schneiderlin's piercing through ball. Leno made a great point blank save to stop Johnson, but 10 minutes later Odidja fired in after a shambles defending a corner. Balotelli soon regained our lead with a free kick into the top corner, curling it beyond the wall. Sturridge missed a great chance late on.
Match 2
Liverpool 1-0 Arsenal
Sterling 90
Such a dull first half, Leno being tested once to stop a low Welbeck cross reaching Ozil, and Otamendi forcing a good save from a corner. The second half wasn't much better, but we made a lot more attacks, Balotelli firing shots that were usually being blocked by the defender. Schneiderlin had a header well saved and Henderson stroked just past the post. We took the lead through Sterling who ran onto Coutinho's perfect through ball that sliced between the 2 centre backs.
Match 3
Crystal Palace 0-4 Liverpool
Sturridge 9
Balotelli 32 (PEN)
Sturridge 50
Sturridge 58
Sturridge gave us the lead, curling the ball into the top corner after running through on goal. He later forced Speroni into a great save with a powerful effort from the edge of the box. Balotelli made it 2 from the spot after Henderson was brought down by Hangeland. Sturridge got the third, firing in on the rebound of Origi's shot that hit the post. He then completed his hattrick, thundering the ball into the top corner after a wonderful ball over the top. Milner had a shot saved well before Leno was finally challenged, stopping the ball to put it out for a corner.
Copa Europe
Liverpool 3-3 Borussia Monchengladbach (5-4 pens)
Kruse 18 (PEN)
Sturridge 61
Coutinho 84
Mlapa 90
Mlapa 118
Sterling 120
What a match! Kruse opened the scoring for the Europa League winners, firing in thanks to a dubious penalty. Leno made a great stop to deny Herrmann before we began to mount an attack, Sturridge forcing a good save from Sommer and Coutinho had a curling effort go just wide of the post. Sturridge equalised, curling in from a good ball through. We took the lead with Coutinho's amazing solo effort, running past the defence and curling into the top corner. Unfortunately, Mlapa headed in in stoppage time to take the match to extra time.
We went into extra-time and the majority of it was uneventful. We wasted an amazing chance, with 4 strikers against the keeper, before M'gladbach came onto the attack. Mlapa looked to have won it, smashing in after they took advantage of a 3v1 counter attack. However, Sterling pulled us back to take it to penalties, cutting inside and stroking the ball under Sommer.

Liverpool Deadline Day Sales
Liverpool have sold 5 players surplus to requirements at the club. Youngster Jordan Williams has gone to Doncaster for £110,000, Tiago Ilori and Sebastian Coates have joined Sunderland for a combined £4 million, Luis Alberto has joined Aston Villa for £2.4 million, and Iago Aspas has joined Stoke for £8 million.
Brazil International Joins Liverpool
Hoffenheim and Brazil midfielder Roberto Firmino has joined Liverpool for £15 million on a £110,000 a week contract. The attacking midfielder is known for his flair on the ball, and that flair may be enough to link up with Brazil team mate Coutinho and young star Raheem Sterling. He says “I have the opportunity to start an exciting new chapter now. I am looking forward to a new challenge and am excited to find out what the Premier League has to offer. Of course, everything will once again be new to me at the start. I’m going to have to get used to a new style of play but I’ll also get the opportunity to improve my game even further. Of course, I want to be a regular starter at Liverpool and be successful with my new team.”
Shock Signing
Liverpool have signed Radamel Falcao for an unbelievable price of just £10 million on a £180,000 a week contract. The all-time Colombia top scorer has been a hot star playing for Porto, Atletico Madrid, AS Monaco and most recently Liverpool's greatest rival Manchester United on loan. Monaco had been asking for £47 million until Falcao requested a transfer. The Colombia commented that he is pleased to be given another chance in the Premier League after not getting much of a chance over RVP and Rooney last season.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
September 2018 - International Break
FIFA 15 (PS4)
India 0 - 1 Mexico (B-Team)
MEX: Fabian 18'
Chavez got a chance to experiment a little with his B-Team and included Jose Antonio Rodriguez (75 GK) Carlos Fierro (70 OVR RW/ST) Javier Orozco (69 OVR ST) Jonathan Dos Santos (79 OVR CM) and Oswaldo Alanis (71 OVR CB) into the starting lineup. Fierro is a player for the future and we should be seeing him at the next World Cup, Orozco recently scored on Chavez's Osasuna while playing with his club FC Lorient, Dos Santos (Giovanni's brother) hasn't impressed much but Chavez is giving him another chance, and Alanis has recently achieved promotion to La Liga with his club Real Betis. As expected, Mexico completely controlled the match with Jonathan Dos Santos now playing as a CDM instead of the RCM he's played under Chavez. He definitely played much better in his new role and was key in holding the ball and starting plays from the back. We didn't see much from Orozco, but Fierro was having an outstanding match. His speed and dribbling were tearing India's defenders apart, up until he was forced to leave the match early with an injury in the 15th minute. The injury didn't cause the players to lose focus though and just three minutes later Jonathan Dos Santos sent Marco Fabian (LCM) a pass to the edge of the box and Fabian finished the play perfectly with a strong low shot into the bottom of the net!
Mexico continued to dominate the match but they weren't able to extend the lead. The strikers were producing much and instead most of the scoring chances came from the midfielders Marco Fabian and Ulises Davila with Jonathan setting them up.
INJURY NEWS
Carlos Fierro (70 OVR RW/ST) will be out for 8 weeks with a Dislocated Shoulder.
Mexico 1 - 2 Uruguay
URU: Suarez 3' 26'
MEX: Fabian 51'
URU: Caceres RED CARD 60'
MEX: Mier RED CARD 90'
Definitely a heated rivalry that is on the rise ever since the 2018 Russia World Cup. In the World Cup Mexico and Uruguay shared the same group. Uruguay needed a draw or victory against Mexico in the final group match to go through but a last minute winner for Mexico by Marco Fabian put Mexico in the next round and Uruguay were sent back home. The Uruguayans saw this as the perfect opportunity for revenge, and they were treated to an early goal from their main man Luis Suarez from a direct free kick just 3 minutes into the match. Suarez struck again in the 26th minute with yet another goal from a direct free kick. Uruguay were up 2-0 and it the visiting fans were loud in cheer. During the halftime break Chavez brought on Marco Fabian, the one that sent Uruguay packing at the World Cup, to replace Hector Herrera in midfield; going for a more attack minded approach. Fabian needed only 6 minutes to score on Uruguay and he did so with a powerful shot to the near post.
Uruguay certainly weren't happy to see Fabian, dubbed the Uruguay killer, score on them again and the match got out of hand fast. Caceres received a red card just nine minutes after the goal and this was starting to look very similar to that group stage match in Russia. Unfortunately for El Tri they weren't able to repeat history this time with second half sub Raul Jimenez, who's failed to impress Chavez time and time again, missing an open net in the closing minutes. Uruguay spent the final minutes of the match holding the ball at the corner flags which eventually caused Hiram Mier to lose his head and slide in from behind while Uruguay's player was shielding the ball at the corner. The referee pulled out the red card immediately as it was a clear act of aggression without even going for the ball, and Mier didn't argue. The match ended not too long after with the referee undoubtedly relieved to see it end before it got even more out of his control.
Conclusion
Not a good set of matches. I was disappointed to only put 1 past India and the defeat to Uruguay was certainly bitter. We'll most likely run into them again in the upcoming Copa America. Next month we'll be facing Chile and I think Paraguay where I plan to continue experimenting with the B-Team. So far I was very impressed with Jonathan Dos Santos at CDM, a role I had never tried him at before, but the only thing I didn't like was that he pushes too high up. I need a CDM that will follow his instruction and stay back at all times. He has the skill though and could be competing with Vazquez for that starting role. Our 82 OVR goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa was benched during the World Cup, and he disappointed again in the friendly against Uruguay. He'll play like a beast when I face Malaga but with the NT he'll let anything in. I've never liked him IRL any way though so I don't mind starting Talavera (77 OVR) at all.
That's all for this international break. Next month we'll be back at Osasuna.
Thanks For Reading!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I agree. George Lucas may be the mastermind behind it all with an incredible story, but I question his capabilities as a director. From what I've read he only directed one movie in the OT and that was A New Hope which was also the weakest as far as acting goes. Empire and Return weren't directed by him. He directed the prequels and again you get to see some of the same acting flaws seen in A New Hope. He's also let the whole thing die kind of with no video games or anything anymore. I'm glad Disney picked it up and have a game plan with it.
Hey hey, that Star Wars discussion was necessary and vital for the survival of this thread. It even brought you back! That discussion has brought balance back to the thread :P
LMAO!!!
Hey man welcome to the thread! Looking forward to the Valencia posts! We've got another Valencia career going on right now but he's on vacation lol

Sunday August 24th 2014
Sevilla (0) Vs (0) Valencia
Man of Match - Gaya 8.2
Possession – 46% to 54%.
Shots on Target – 3 to 4.
No much to talk about in this game. *Defence were solid didn’t really look like conceding all game and limited the amount of chances Sevilla had but didn’t really look like scoring myself. *Best chance fell to Bernanrd who could have made it a dream debut when he rounded the keeper only to see his effort cleared off the line.
Sunday August 31st*2014
Valencia (2) Vs (0) Malaga
Alcacer 63’ (Parejo), 73’ (Bernard)
Man of Match – Alcacer 8.4
Possession – 46% to 54%
Shots on Target – 5 to 0
Another solid display by the back four limiting Malaga to no shots on target which is pleasing. *We looked much better from an attacking standpoint with Parejo going close early on after a beautiful dinked ball over the top by Alcacer but saved well by the outrushing keeper. *In the second half Parejo this time playing a perfectly weighted pass into the path of Alcacer who dispatched it with ease. *As Malaga chased the game we caught them 2 Vs 1 at the back with Bernard playing Alcacer who again finished nicely to wrap up the victory.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
He hadn't been developing well for me, only going up 1 overall. Also, I brought Schneiderlin in who has gone straight into the first team, and I didn't want to stunt Kovacic's growth by shoving him on the bench. And Falcao for £10 million was mad. I couldn't believe it when I did it!Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Matchday 3
Valencia (3) Vs (1) Espanyol
Alcacer 15’ (Pen), Bernard 53’ (Cancelo), Casilla 75’ (OG)
Bernard 7.9
Bernard had a terrific game in this one winning the penalty to begin with and topping it off with a goal. *A perfectly weighted pass from Alcacer led to Bernard being bought down in the box and to my surprise no red card shown. Alcacer kept his good form up slotting home the penalty making it 3 in 3 now. A debatable penalty was then awarded to the away side which despite going the correct way Alves was unable to save and he conceded his first goal of the season. *Bernard then got the goal he deserved when he met a Cancelo header at the back post to make it 2-1 and then Casilla was awarded the own goal although I still think that it should have been given to De Paul. *Overall another solid performance from both the forwards and defenders.
Matchday 4
Getafe (0) Vs (1) Valencia
Mustafi 54’ (Cancelo)
Mustafi 8.8
For much of the game it looked as if it was heading for a draw. *The hosts perhaps should have taken the lead after they hit the post early which was the brightest piece of play in a boring first half. *The second half saw us come to life with a couple of early chances which were saved by Guiata who was returning to face his former club for the first time. *But finally just before the hour mark Mustafi met a Cancelo corner to make it 1-0 which means the young portages right back now has 2 assists in his last 2 games. *A late onslaught from the hosts saw them bring on an extra striker but was unable to break down a stubborn Valencia defence. *
*
Matchday 5
Valencia (2) Vs (0) Real Betis
Rodrigo 64’ (Wijnaldum), Wijnaldum 75’
Wijnaldum 8.3
This game could have been 6 or 7 but that not too say Betis never had their chances. *After a good start by the visitors it could have been a difference story after a series of corners but we grew into the game and should have been at least 2 up by half time with Rodrigo spurning a couple of glorious chances. *A brilliant counter attacking move saw Feghouli win the ball in his own half and play in wijnaldum, who’s pacey cross was met by Rodrigo to side foot home. *Wijnaldum then got in on the act, captialising on some dodgy Betis defending to put the game to bed. Vezo was another player who came in alongside Rodrigo and Wijnaldum and had a solid game at the back as well as showing a good range of passing, defiantly one for the future.
*
Matchday 6
Real Sociedad (2) Vs (0) Valencia
Otamendia 6.2
The first defeat of the season for us at the hands of Sociedad and fully deserved as well. *Selection issues before the game (in a good way) saw Wijnaldum and Rodrigo keep their places ahead of Bernard and Alcacer but a mistake that was as the two rarely touched the ball in the first 45 minutes and were taken off at half time. *A Castro header after 2 minutes saw Sociedad take the lead and doubled that after half time with a well taken shot by Agrietexxe. *This finally sparked us into action as we threw everything at the sociedad defence with 30 minutes remaining but it was too little too late which means that September ends on a disappointing note. *
September Recap
With 3 wins from 4 September was a good month for us. *Bernard is looking like a bargain at £15,000,000 and is developing a good understanding with Alcacer. *The other summer signing Wijnaldum is also looking like a good signing although hasn’t had the amount of game time he would like but is sure to get his chance. *The back 4 has had another good month conceding only 3 goals as well as chipping in with 2 assists and a goal. *Hopefully we can put the Sociedad game behind us keeps up this good form. *Player of the month has got to be Cancelo. *Not only has he contributed from the defensive standpoint but also is proving to be a real threat going forward with 2 assists to his name now.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Matchday 10
Villereal (1) Vs (3) Valencia
Alcacer 8’ (Piatti), Bernard 69’ (Cancelo), Piatti 90+3(Gaya)
Piatti 8.2
Coming into this derby we were not in the best of form but form goes out of the window when it comes to derbies. *We made a brilliant start with Alcacer finishing a perfect ball from piatti however that lead was short lives as Gerard Moreno made it 1-1 three minutes later. *It was a real end to end game with both teams having the chance to pull level before the break however both keepers made some brilliant saves. *Bernard then showed his talent after picking up cancelo’s pass in his own half and weaved his way through 3 defenders before curling his shot round the outstretched keeper. *Piatti then topped off a excellent performance by converting Gaya’s low ball in to make the score 3-1, giving the bragging rights to the Valencia fans.
Matchday 11
Valencia (0) Vs (1) Athletic Bilbao
Parejo 7.3
Very few chances in this game and a draw probably would have been a fair result however Munian’s goal in the 19th*minute separates the two sides. *Our best chance came at the end of the game when Bernard had the chance to level things but miss hit his shot. *I was hoping we could build some momentum after that 3-1 win over Villarreal but this is another step back and with Barcalona approaching things need to improve quickly.
Matchday 12
Levante (0) Vs (0) Valencia
Mustafi 6.7
I just don’t know what is going on at the moment. *Things could have been a lot worse though if not for Alves who pulled of an acrobatic save to deny Levante from the spot. *We are not good enough going forward at the moment although perhaps should have been 1-0 up just before half time when Feghouli latched onto an Alcacer pass only to hit wide which sums up his season so far. Next is Barcalona so we will see what happens.
Matchday 13
Valencia (0) Vs (0) Barcelona
Gaya 8.0
In terms of the result, it’s a good point and I can’t complain about the performance but now the lack of goals has become a major issue. *We had several chances Rodrigo and Wijnaldum going close but were denied by Bravo who was in tremendous form today. *Santi Mina and De Paul came in for Feghouli and Piatti and had really good games giving the opposing full backs trouble all game. *Hopefully a good result in the cup can give us some much needed momentum. *
November Recap
Not much to say really other than we have to start scoring goals if we want to win football matches, simple as that. *Several key players have not stepped up since I took charge and may have to dip into the market come January which means that there may be some big departures, but the players still have December to prove me wrong. *Player of the Month is Gaya. *After getting an assist and putting in a man of the match display against Barca he is deservedly player of the month.
League Table
1.*Barcelona 35pts
2.*Real Madrid 31pts
3.*Valencia 23pts
4.*Sevilla 21pts
5.*Getafe 20pts
6.*Athletic Bilbao 20pts
----------------
17. Celta Vigo 13pts
18. Levante 11pts
19. Granada 10pts
20. Sporting Gijon 7pts

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Koeman resigns; Cruzerr steps up
10th of July, 2015
After a fantastic first season, Ronald Koeman steps down due to health issues
Sad news has hit the Southampton team and the fans, as Ronald Koeman has resigned from the coaching position, due to his bad health. "I love this job, I love the fans, the coaching staff, everything about it. Yet, I need some time off now."
Ronald Koeman came into the team last year and was an instant success, lifting the team to a high seventh position and bringing great football to the fans. While most of the people involved with Southampton have been very ambitious and excited about next season, the main man himself has struggled with his health and has missed the start of the pre-season training due to it.
"I don't think I can manage this job without being here at the same time. I want to stay, but the doctors do think that this is for the better."
However, we are delighted to announce that Thomas Cruzerr is taking his place and hopefully can be just as good for us.
Who is this mystery man?
For the people who don't know him, the name probably doesn't say anything. Yet for most of Southampton fans, he is not a new name, as he has been one of the right hand men behind Koeman, as an assistant coach. Ronald praised him, saying that Cruzerr is the right man for the job. "I trust him and I do think that he can stay in the course that we set last season."
Both Cedric and Juanmi have joined the team for the pre-season
Cruzerr will have his hands full though, as the season is just a month away. With still a bunch of deals in the air and possible replacements coming in for both Schneiderlin and Alderweireld, you never know how the team will play at the start. The man himself is quite positive.
"I like a challenge. The best way to improve is step-by-step, so my first step is to still focus on the team, and then focus on the market and see what we still have to do and what players we can still bring in."
Both Cedric and Juanmi have reported to been training already, so I guess the next step to see is how Southampton perform with a new coach and new players in their first pre-season games.Comment

Guadalajara's Marco Fabian won the vote and will be on the FIFA 16 cover with Messi (Mexico version). I might go across the border for my copy instead of buying it here in the States!
