Ultimately I'm just not sure how in-depth the career mode is for PES and I'm worried that I will be disappointed after spending the money on it.
It's not very in-depth in my opinion. I'm not sure how it will be this year but last year it was pretty boring. You just select players you like, tap a button and a day later receive news if they have accepted the transfer offer. The transfer window is just five days long and your players don't seem to improve at all.

      Valencia CF

      April - May 2016

      Valencia CF 2 - 1 Real Betis
      Griezmann 9', Sanchez 53'
      Balde 77'

      Quarter Final, 2nd Leg
      FC Porto (3) 2 - 1 (2) Valencia CF
      Josue 9', Eduardo 16'
      Bacca 90'

When Porto were winning the first leg for the majority of the game we knew it wouldn't be easy to beat them at the Estadio Dragão but we didn't expect to lose like this, either. The Portuguese team were the better side and they took the lead only nine minutes into the game when Josue shot the ball into the bottom right corner. Under ten minutes later Carlos Eduardo headed the ball into the back of the net to double Porto's lead. We then did everything we could to equalise but Porto's defenders and keeper were on top of their game. Finally in stoppage time Carlos Bacca pulled one back from a rebound but it wasn't enough to overcome a huge upset. Porto progressed to the semi finals.

      Valencia CF 0 - 0 SD Eibar

      Final
      Real Madrid - Valencia CF

Valencia had reached their second Copa del Rey final in two years while Real Madrid were playing their first one since their successful cup campaign in 2014. The venue for the final was the completely neutral Estadio Santiago Bernabeu which was sold out. Real Madrid had the better squad with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Robert Lewandowski and the benched Sergio Agüero but Valencia had already beaten the Whites this season, once in league play and twice in the Supercopa in August. Both teams played beautiful and attacking football and the supporters were already singing and chanting before kickoff. The night was set for a great game.

Real Madrid kicked off the game and soon they got their first chance. The ball was played to Cristiano Ronaldo inside the box but right as he was taking the shot Nicolas Otamendi dispossessed him. Some time later Gareth Bale took a shot from the edge of the box but Sergio Rico parried it easily to Marquinhos who cleared it. Soon after that Alexis Sanchez's shot got parried by Iker Casillas close to the corner flag but Antoine Griezmann reached it. The Frenchman then ran past Fabio Coentrão, cut in past Sergio Ramos and shot the ball over Iker Casillas to put Valencia into the lead in the 38th minute! The remaining minutes of the first half didn't have any action in them and the teams went into the half time break with Valencia leading 1-0.

The second half started and it was pretty even. Both sides had some chances but Valencia's defenders did a great job in containing Bale and Ronaldo. Sergio Rico and Casillas made a couple of very nice saves but the Bats were still in the lead. Real Madrid started pushing players forwards and that proved to be their downfall. The ball was played to Alexis Sanchez after a corner in the 72nd minute who shifted it forwards to Sofiane Feghouli. The speedy winger ran into the box and passed the ball to Antoine Griezmann who then just tapped the ball into the net with ease showing Valencia's SAS's (Sanchez, Antoine, Sofiane) or ***'s, since SAS is already taken, true power. In the final minutes of the game Sergio Agüero managed to head in a consolation goal but it wasn't enough. Valencia had won the Copa del Rey again!

        Portsmouth FC
        FIFA 15 - Season 3

        Pompey's March to the Top

        November 2016

        Portsmouth FC 1 - 1 Birmingham City
        POR - Pack 7'
        BIR - Gleeson 51'

Pack stepped up to the penalty spot after Russell was taken down and he used a hesitation to send the keeper the wrong way and then finish into the top right corner. Thomas' shot was saved by the keeper and Gleeson was there to follow up the rebound for the equalizer.

        Bristol City 4 - 1 Portsmouth FC
        BRC - Emmanuel-Thomas 6', 49' (PEN), 52', Smith 64'
        POR - Jamieson IV 71'
        MOTM: Emmanuel-Thomas

Emmanuel-Thomas cut the ball back to shake the defender and attack down the middle of the box to fire a shot inside the right post. Maguire was called for a penalty and Emmanuel-Thomas stepped up to the spot and slotted it right down the middle. Freeman's cross was flicked on by Smith for Emmanuel-Thomas on the back post to power home for his hat-trick. Little sent a cross in from the left wing that was headed back into the middle of the box and Smith finished it into the bottom right. Pereira played the ball to Jamieson and he turned his defender to go through on the left side of the goal and finish across to the far post.

        Portsmouth FC 0 - 1 Cardiff City
        CAR - Peltier 3'
        MOTM: Peltier

A great display of one touch passing led to Peltier getting the ball on the left side of the goal and he struck it first time with his right foot and blasted it into the top left corner for the deciding goal of the match.

        Blackburn Rovers 2 - 2 Portsmouth FC
        BLR - Rhodes 58' (PEN), 63' (PEN)
        POR - Russell 12', Murhpy 47'
        MOTM: Rhodes

Hahn pushed the ball down the right wing and sent a low cross into the box for Russell to tap in from the center of the box. Murphy attacked down the left wing and cut the ball towards the middle and used his right foot to place the ball into the bottom right corner. In a highly question series of events, Rhodes converted two penalties awarded to Blackburn to equalize the match.

        Portsmouth FC 3 - 1 Derby County
        POR - Pack 45', Russell 45', 59'
        DER - Martin 27'
        MOTM: Russell

Ward sent a great cross over the defense and Martin was there to head it in on the back post for the lead. Russell played the ball to Pack and he turned towards goal and blasted a shot into the top right corner. Holla sent a ball in from the right corner and found Russell for a strong header past the keeper to the left side of the goal. Holla sent a corner once again from the opposite side and Russell once again was able to head it home.

        Capital One Cup Quarter Final
        Arsenal FC 0 - 1 Portsmouth FC
        POR - Russell 120'
        MOTM: Pereira

Pereira found Russell running out on the right wing and he stopped the ball and cut it towards the middle before using his left foot to fire across the goal and in to the top left corner for the winning goal on the last kick of the game.

League Play - We hit a wall this month in league play, earning only 5 points out of a total 15. The Bristol City loss was an eye opener, and it showed that we really need to get better if we want to compete at the top of this league.

Capital One Cup - All game long we couldn't crack through their defense, and on the other side we held strong against their attacks. It wasn't until the very last kick of the game that Russell was able to cut the ball inside and send it into the net past the keeper. It just went to show us that even when we play a great game and beat a club like Arsenal, it is never by any means done easily. Now we move on to the Semi-Finals where we will play two legs against Manchester City. A lot of questions will be asked as to whether we can knock out another top team, especially over two separate legs, but we are confident in ourselves as long as we can play the game the way we want to.

F.A. Cup - The F.A. Cup begins for us next month, and we are awaiting our draw. We are hoping that there will be a few games that we will be able to get some youth and some reserves who don't see the field much out there. Still, we have to be careful not to take any games for granted. Getting knocked out early once again would be a huge disappointment.

Right, first off, I want to apologize to this video not having the greatest quality, I was using a new program since my Sony Vegas was not working, no idea why. Still, here it is!

This site used to have a YT player, where is it now? :O ANYWAY CLICK HERE BOYS AND PUT IT ON 720

Right, since I have no idea how to use the new program, my usual writings n stuff were left out, so, in order of the goals in the video:

          1. Mane vs Sunderland
          2. Rodriguez vs QPR
          3. Tadic vs Norwich
          4. Bolasie vs Swansea
          5. Elia vs Swindon Town
          6. Tadic vs Arsenal
          7. Bolasie vs Spurs
          8. Ward Prowse vs QPR
          9. Long vs Cardiff
          10. Elia vs Oldham
          11. Tadic vs Spurs

Here is the Strawpoll. You can vote for multiple options, but I honestly HOPE you vote for either one or two, so then we can get an obvious idea on what goal was the best and what were also quite good.

I hope you enjoy this idea, if you do, then I will continue it next season! (hopefully with sony vegas)

            Final Thoughts:

            The League:
We had a terrific campaign this season finishing 22 points clear at the top of the league, securing promotion as early as March which is a tremendous achievement. Sabitzer destroyed the leagues defenders scoring an incredible 33 goals and still only 20 years of age still has many years ahead of him. I decided to use the remaining fixtures to try out a new Formation and can confirm that we will be going 4 - 4 - 2 next season.

            Aims for Next Season:
Our main priority for next season will be to maintain out status as a Bundesliga club and we know that we won't get it all our own way against the leagues best clubs like we did for large portions of this season. It would be nice to go on a cup run as well but like I said earlier our main priority is survival.

            Transfer Targets:
We will be looking to add a few players to the squad most notably a new keepers as Gulasci and Coltori have been told to find new clubs after a terrible season by the pair. They made several high profile errors and I have had enough of it. I will be looking to add a defender, 2 midfielders and striker to the team. I have a few names in mind but won't give anything away for now.

Thanks for Reading. Any comment or suggestions appreciated.

Thoughts: Disappointed that we were unable to meet the board's domestic cup objective, but all eyes are on Europe at this point. Despite a slow start to the month, picking up the full nine points in the final three matches, including a 3-0 home shutout of United, was absolutely huge. Riviere has solidified himself as the team's #1 striker and Ings is coming on strong as well. Back-to-back clean sheets for Kraft gives him two in his first month with the team which will only give him confidence moving forward. The second week of March is the most important stretch of the season yet, with three matches in seven days against Arsenal, and at City and Everton.

                Manager's Thoughts:

                Transfer Window:
We tried to bring in more experienced players to the squad but the wage constraints really restricted who we were able to bring in. With our highest earner on £35,000 a week we didn't want to disrupt the harmony in the camp so had to turn to youth yet again in the window and I am impressed with the quality that we were able to bring in.
There was a couple of high profile departures but the offer was too good to turn down and both players were unhappy playing second fiddle to Sabitzer for that lone striker role. We also had to sell in order to activate the purchase option at the end of the 4 loan deals.

                The League:
Well we have found out the hard way what this league is all about. With 4 loses from the first 4 games we are already 4 points from safety. There is nothing in the games and they have been decided by small margins but hopefully we start getting the rub of the green sooner rather than later before we get into serious trouble. I am confident with this squad of players however that we can finish a lot higher up the table.

                  Manager's Thoughts:

We have managed to get a little run of 3 straight victories in the league which has seem us shoot up the table into 13th place after spending the majority of time in the bottom three. I feel that we are finally adjusting to the step up from the 2nd to 1st division with the results finally matching the performances we have been putting in.

Marcel Sabitzer has carried on his tremendous form of last season into this with 13 goals to his name and currently sitting top of the leading goal scorers. However, despite the good form of Simone Scuffet, we still find ourselves leaking goals which is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Youngsters Mastour and Ødegaard have really stood out in recent games with Mastour getting 2 assists and Ødegaard getting 2 goals. Helmersen has also had good week scoring his first league and cup goal in the space of 5 days.

Overall I am pleased with how it is going, we are high on confidence and have got a couple of games coming up where we have a real chance of getting something which could hopefully see us start to pull away from the bottom 3 and start looking further up the table.

                  Upcoming Fixtures:

                      MOTM: Cropper

Russell split two defenders on the right wing to attack towards the middle of the box where he fired a strong shot off the keeper and in to the back of the net.

Jamieson got the ball down the right side of the box and he sent a low ball into the box and Murphy was there to direct it into the goal. Cropper punched a cross out of the box and took out Maguire in the process. The ball fell to Williams and he fired a shot that Cropper couldn't get to since Maguire was still down and in his way. Upton's shot was kept out by the keeper and fell right to Damari in the middle of the box and he slotted it home for the winning goal.

                      Middlesbrough FC 0 - 2 Portsmouth FC

                      MOTM: Holla

Holla fired a shot that was deflected straight to Pereira and he his his shot off the keeper and in. Holla lined up a free kick and sent it over the wall curling away from the keeper and into the back of the net.

                      POR - Pack 19', Russell 90'

Tessoro took out Pack from behind outside of the box and Pack lined up the free kick and curled it around the wall and into the bottom right corner. Adams won the ball and pushed the ball up field to play it to Russell on the right wing. He cut the ball in towards the middle and fired a shot into the left side of the goal.

                      POR - Pereira 40', Drennan 80'
                      MOTM: Cropper

Hahn found Pereira up the middle and he dribbled around his defender to go through on goal and hit it off the left post and in. Pereira sent a corner in and Drennan was able to get his head on it and direct it into the top right corner.

                      Huddersfield Town 1 - 0 Portsmouth FC
                      HUD - Wells 80'

League Play - We stay at fourth in the table, but the gap between us and Leeds has grown despite our win over them. There is still a lot of season left to play and we have to be sharp if we want to move up in the table, and we also have to make sure we don't fall out of the playoff spots either.

Cup Competitions - Next month brings both the two leg semi-final in the Capital One Cup against Manchester City, and the F.A. Cup against Watford. We want to do better in the F.A. Cup this season after a disappointing early exit last season. The Capital One Cup is huge at this stage though. City will be a very tough opponent, especially over two legs. Our job is to stay focused for all competitions right now.

Transfer Window - The January transfer window is opening up, and we have been evaluating our squad all season long. We are happy with how we have performed, but there is always room for improvement. That remains to be seen if that means a new player is brought in, or someone within the squad steps up to the next level.

I love seeing you right up there challenging for a place in the playoffs. With a bit of luck, hopefully you can maintain steady form throughout the campaign while the others drop points. That should be enough to help you finish in one of the automatic promotion spots. Is that Jonny Russell scoring for you, the Scottish forward who starts out at Derby? He's a cracking player, at least at Championship level. Though with a couple of points worth of growth, he could bang in 10 or 12 goals in the Premier League once you go up. As for your run in the Capital One Cup, what a great achievement it would be to beat City over two legs and then win the final. You've already won the FA Cup, if I'm not mistaken. It'd be nice to add a different piece of silverware, plus you'd have Europa League next season to supplement your income. But there's also the added workload to consider, so you might have a different priority, but I'd be going all-out to win the League Cup. Excited to see how your career progresses, this is proving to be as exciting as Chico's time at Wimbledon. Perhaps a bit more so because you actually buy players!

Yep, it's Johnny Russell! Bought him at the start of this season and sold Jed Wallace and he has been great. Currently leading the league in assists, and now he's knocking in goals too. Capital One Cup is my main focus now since it is already to the semi-final stage. F.A. Cup is the big money winner, but a shot at the Europa League is more than worth that sacrifice. Having won the F.A. Cup and the J. Paint trophy in the past couple seasons already makes me want it even more. Glad you are enjoying the career though! I'm trying to slowly build my squad up to Premier League standards. Sticking with my original players for too long would only hurt me in the long run since it would be too hard to win with my current settings I play on. I can already feel the difference in competition in the Championship compared to League 1. So I will need to improve even more to get ready for that next step.

INDI BLUE NAMED AS HEAD COACH

FC Köln confirms the appointment of Indi Blue as head coach of the first team with effect from July 1, 2014.

'I'm delighted to be joining a club as wonderful as FC Köln,' Indi said. 'What stands out is how committed the board is to ensuring success, both on and off the pitch. At some clubs, the coaches and the directors pull in opposite directions, making it difficult or impossible to please the fans. Knowing that my board and I work together makes it easier to focus on my objectives.'

This wasn't a bad month by any means but looking at the fixtures before hand I thought it was a real chance for us to pick up 9 points but it wasn't to be. Sabitzer scored another 2 goals and has handled the step up very well and is on track to be the top scorer at the end of the season.

This was a tough month for us and really we needed to pick up 3 points against either Hoffenheim or Augsburg but could seem to find any way past them. Bayern Munich destroyed us without really kicking into first gear. We just couldn't handle Robben. We achieved the aim the board set for the cup but it was always going to be a bonus for the season and we don't really have the squad for a cup run.

We got back on track in January with 2 wins against teams that were around us and this has put us within touching distance of the europa league spot which is a surprise looking at the way we started the season. The game against Frankfurt was frustrating after a Scuffet mistake from a cross saw them win the game 1-0 in a game that really should have finished 0-0.

Not really many moves in the winter window. Promising defender Klostermann has gone out on loan for the season and will be an importnst player for next season. We managed to bring in 2 players, Fabian Winter from our academy and Joshua Gatt from Molde in a straight swap for Dominik Kaiser. Due to an injury Massimo Bruno sustained we had to dip into the market and Gatt seemed like an ideal replacement.

No 3rd or 4th division for England is a bit of a let down though since you know how much I love doing those careers.

Ultimately I'm just not sure how in-depth the career mode is for PES and I'm worried that I will be disappointed after spending the money on it.

For some reason I thought the career mode on PES had a lot more depth than FIFA's, but it turns out it's the other way around in my opinion. Based on what Simp has said, and a few YouTube videos, I think FIFA's career mode's pros outweigh PES' master league's. PES has some good stuff like cut scenes, player training, and every team already has a full youth squad when you sign as manager, but Simp said PES lacks player growth. FIFA also has weekly squad updates which I enjoy. FIFA's transfer window looks better than PES' as well since apparently on PES you already know if a team will accept your offer before you even send it, and there's also an indicator showing how likely the player is to accept a contract offer with your team. On FIFA you have to mess around with the offers more which makes it feel like an actual negotiation.

I might still rent it to check it out, but I'm less inclined to after I did a little research.
