Also, you shouldn't say "a fellow Star Wars fan". You should say "at least four fellow Star Wars fans" since at least Chico, Indi, Jamie and myself are very into SW. You may have read about the big Star Wars discussions we had some weeks ago.

Yeah, I skimmed through those. There is a fair bit of a following on here, you're right. My bad! I do have a bit of faith in Abrams. Armageddon is one of my favourite movies of all time. Makes me sob like a baby when Harry Stamper says goodbye to Grace and hits the detonator, then again when Col. Sharp shakes Grace's hand back on earth. The man knows how to touch your heart. Still, it's a bit odd to see the same dude directing Wars and Trek.

Rupp changed to a CM after one of the last updates, he has done a solid job so far but next season I feel like a need to bring in a big name in the middle I'm considering Geis and Goretzka if I have the funds. In terms of formation I normally go 4-2-3-1 but for some reason it just wasn't working for me in this career and the lack of goals has really forced me to go 2 up front. I'm guna try out a couple of formations including 4-1-3-2 to see what to use for next season. Not sure I'm guna have anything to play for really as I'm 12 points of Europe but focusing on the cup for now so kinds gives me a chance to try new formations and players.

One thing I'd suggest is to get a sturdier partner for Geis in there. You'd probably want someone with a high defensive work rate as well. The midfield duo really needs to be able to win and protect the ball until a CAM or ST makes himself available for a pass.

Thank you! I finally understand what Tex meant by that! I'm very happy that our Star Warsian brotherhood is growing each day and each night. Soon we should start a rebellion (pun not intended) and change the name of this thread to "How is you Star Wars fanboying going?". Who is with me? Because if you're not with me, then you are my enemy.


Seriously speaking, let's have another Star Wars discussion. We covered the balance of the Force, our favourite characters and moments, what else could we talk about? Maybe about Jar Jar Binks being technically responsible for the downfall of the Jedi and the Republic?

You and Jar-Jar man lol our goofy friend gets so much hate but I personally disagree and do not believe he caused the downfall of the Republic. Yes, he was put in a tough spot and he voted in favor of Palpatine, but do you seriously believe that one little vote from a Naboo native would have been enough to stop Palpatine, who is the cunning mastermind Darth Sidious? Nah. Had Jar-Jar voted against Palpatine, chances are the majority vote would have still been in his favor since he clearly won everyone over with his speech, and even if he didn't have the majority vote he would have still found a way to get what he wanted. The Sith aren't honest people you know. With Palpatine in office the Republic was gonna fall one way or the other.

If you still don't see it my way though, then let's not look at it as "Jar-Jar caused Order 66" and instead look at it as "had it not been for Jar-Jar we wouldn't have gotten Episode IV, V, and VI. Thanks Jar-Jar."

So the league results have still not improved. We tried going back to basics and managed to get 0-0 draws against Bayer Levurkusen & FC Koln which for a team with european aspirations isn't good enough. Dortmund battered us but again an individual mistake by the reliable Scuffet in goal changed the game really. We hit the bar twice but lacked that clinical touch in front of goal.
We did manage to go through to the semi final of the Deutscher Pokal and drew Levurkusen and with Eint.Frankfurt and Erzgebirge Aue as the remaining teams left, we have a real shot a winning the cup. I was pleased that Drmic and Seferovic got debut goals and will be crucial for the rest of the season.

After Real Madrid agreed to pay the £35 million buy out clause in Brandt's contract we had a lot of money to strengthen in the window.
The biggest problem we have had all season is scoring goals so I moved quickly to sign Swiss Internationals Josip Drmic and Haris Seferovic.
We then managed to pick up Julian Draxler for a small fee of £10 mil after he handed in a transfer request at struggling Schalke. The board gave the green light to make him out highest paid player on £70,000 a week which could prove to be a smart move looking at the talent he has.
We then took advantage of Schalke's poor season again picking up Max Meyer for £6.5 mil adding even more quality to our midfield.
There were a couple of departures such as Josh Gatt, Enes Unal and Nicolai Jørgensen with all 3 players failing to make any sort of impact in their time at the club really.


New Look Lineup

We have decided to switch to a 4-2-2-2 in a bid to score more goals and with the partnership of Seferovic and Drmic being bought in we needed a formation to fully utilise them and I feel this is it. With Werner out injured Draxler is now even more important to the team. Kempf has been looking solid in the games he has played and Süle has been a rock all season despite the amount of goals we have conceded. I won't judge this formation until the end of the season but I liked what I saw of it in the cup game against Freiburg.

That's a huge fee for Brandt and it looks like you invested the money well. Drmic and Meyer are very good players and they should do well for you. You are also in a good position in the league and next season you should be really challenging for a top 6 finish.

That's the aim for next season I feel like I am now really just a top quality central midfield away from challenging the top 6. Geis is my main target for next season but it all depends of how much money the board give me. I'm also considering getting in Volland and partnering him with Werner up front to rotate with Seferovic and Drmic.

No, no, no, no, you're looking at it from the wrong perspective, unless I misunderstood you. First I'll just say that I also don't think that Jar Jar ruined The Phantom Menace.

What I meant was that in Attack of the Clones Jar Jar is the one who suggests giving emergency power ,and in it's aftermath, the power to control the huge clone army and the ability to execute Order 66 to Darthcellor Palpadious.

It's funny if George Lucas made it like this intentionally.

The book 'Darth Plageuis' is a great read btw. Really shows how Sidious' entire plan to take power was set up and how deceiving he can truly be.

There really isn't any reason for you to blame him because Jar-Jar isn't made to be an evil Sith. It's also true that Palpatine would've gotten the power anyway but it's just fun to toy around with these theories.
