Both. I have found strong center backs and strong strikers using physically strong. In fact that's exactly what I set my new scouting trip for because I want a target man. You might also find a CDM there, but I'm sure it will mostly be strikers and defenders. You'll also find a few strikers when scouting for technically gifted, but they're not as frequent and they are a different type of striker more like CFs.

Here's the kid I was talking about. I was a little off on his potential it's actually more than I thought. Decent stats for a winger though he has a good foundation. Really good curve so he could become dangerous from free kicks! That'll be a surprise for the opposition. 47 jumping and 40 strength: yep he's gonna be pushed around like nothing!

I did sign the CMD so we'll see how he works out when I promote him.

Good to know about the physically strong players, I want my next scout trip to look for CBs not strikers. May try for technically gifted players after, see what that brings.

Accidentally deleted deleted my 2 CM saves while erasing some saves from the CMs I started just to play around and see how what it was like.

. So my Chelsea League 1 to Premier League CM is on hold if not cancelled. I had already reset my squads to default and then the latest so it'll be a while before before I get up and running again if I decide to continue. I was really coming to like the squad I had, so I don't know if I'll feel the desire to start it up again.

I might just start a normal CM with a League 2 team, problem is I always like to have 3 kits and I don't think any of them do, not to mention, I actually don't like most of the kits anyway.

Players growth and my opinion

Starting XI:
Luigi Scavone 78 (+5) (Promoted from Youth Academy)

To be honest, he didn’t impress me at all. I was trying to get rid of him in the winter transfer period, but I couldn’t get a decent price for him. But oh boy, he turned it around in the second half of the season. He was so solid, and I’ve come to the point now where I’ve decided that I won’t sell him at all, unless a club offers a huge pile of money. Rating: First half of the season 3/10, second half of the season 8/10.

Greg Hallisey 66 (+6) (Promoted from Youth Academy)

Became a first team starter after the loan spell with Karsdorp came to an end. I had no other right backs and he came out of the academy looking strong and decent. He grew quite a lot in his first season, and he’s still very young. He picked up a minor injury, but was solid for the rest of the games. He’s not too good going forward, though. But so solid defensively. Might turn him into a CB in the future. Rating: 6.5/10

Even Hovland 75 (-1)

My captain and leader. What an example on the pitch. Rarely picks up any cards, and is so solid. He’s decreasing, but he’s still very good. Makes little to no mistakes, and I won’t let him leave our club, ever. Rating: 8/10

Jan Kirchhoff 78 (No Growth)

Well. This man is so weird. He’s decent when he plays as a CDM, but he falls behind when he gets the ball. He’s sluggish, and not really good on the ball. I moved him to CB, and he doesn’t suit it at all. He’s very tall, but he loses a lot of aerial duels. He’s not strong, he’s shaky defensively. I’m going to look for a new CB next year. Rating: 5/10

László Sepsi 71 (-1)

Had to play him as left back after the glitched loan deal with Gomez ended. Sepsi is solid, nothing more to say about him, really. Rating: 7/10

Luigi Cerri 82 (+3) (Promoted from Youth Academy)

My beast, my tank, my custom made Marco Verratti. He’s so similar to Verratti. He’s short, but strong. He’s a very good tackler, and his interceptions are top notch. He improved on his passing this year, and he’s capable of picking out players way better now. I like him, and I’m starting to love him. Don’t forget that he’s just 19 years old! Rating: 8.5/10

Dele Alli 78 (+2)

Very, very good signing. I won’t regret his signing one bit, because he’s so powerful and generally good. He’s tall, he wins a lot of physical duels, and he can pick out players like it’s nothing. I do hope that he improves on his scoring form, because that hasn’t been his strongest asset. Then again, he’s not the man to score the goals obviously. Rating: 8/10

Alessandro Schöpf 77 (+2)

My star man. My talisman. He’s our vice-captain, and will be my future captain when Hovland resigns. This man is so good, he feels way higher than 77. He has 5* weak foot, I didn’t mention that before. He’s so good going forward. He’s fast, technical, and a very good dribbler. His free kicks are very good, and he usually hits the target with them as well. He does need to improve on his 1 on 1 finishing though, because that’s his flaw. Rating: 8/10

Yannick Bolasie 78 (+2)

Even though the fact that I don’t like him, he still performed this season. He popped up with quite some important goals. But he’s quite bad when dribbling. His first touch is very bad, but he makes up for it with his pace and strength. His dribbling is decent, but no more than that. I’ll either replace or bench him next season. Rating: 6/10

Jürgen Locadia 80 (+3)

He grew a lot this season, but he didn’t perform nearly enough. He’s supposed to be main goal threat, the man who does the damage. But he barely scores, let alone create anything. He’s very static, and he’s really only good in the air. Although, he wins like 95% of his aerial duels, so that’s the area that he needs to focus on. I will replace him when I get a decent offer for him. Rating: 7/10

Leroy Sané 78 (+1)

I’ve got no clue what the deal is with this man. He barely grows, he goes invisible in some matches, his statistics aren’t good. But on the other hand, he played some world class matches and he absolutely trashed some teams. For instance, he played a worldie against his old club Schalke 04, as he was a constant thread. Still, when I think about my previous career, with Arsenal, then I have no other option but to say that he’s way better than Alexis ingame. Weirdly enough. Rating: 6.5/10

BENCH:
Rúrik Gíslason 73 (No Growth)

One of the first players to get in the match whenever I make a substitution. Solid performer. Rating: 7/10

Marcus Holmén 73 (+3) (Promoted from Youth Academy)

His growth is decent, as are his stats. But he’s too small to do anything on the field, so I will sell him in the next transfer window. Rating: 5/10

Marvin Friedrich 70 (No Growth)

I didn’t think that he wouldn’t grow at all. He’s decent whenever he plays, never made any mistakes but never played a phenomenal match either. Rating: 6/10

Thierry Ambrose 76 (+4)

Our little Thierry Henry

he’s growing fast, and he’s improving in various areas. I’m curious to see where he will end up. Rating: 6.5/10

Ondrej Petrak 72 (No Growth)

Decent whenever he gets to play. Solid defender, that’s about it. Rating: 7/10

Hanno Behrens 73 (No Growth)

It’s a bit of a surprise that he’s still at our club. I didn’t like him at all at first, but he’s improving himself. Decent defensively, decent going forward. Does the job whenever I need him. Rating: 7/10

Timo Gebhart 73 (+1)

Shocking perfomances. Will sell him in the next window. Rating: 4/10

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: LUIGI CERRI

I will make a screenshot of him ingame soon. He was choosen as our player of the year because he has been the most consistent player this year. Does his job, but with flair and desire to win. He’s aggressive, but in a good way. He tracks back, he’s constantly annoying the opponents with his interceptions and tackles, and on top of that he’s very good going forward. His short passes have improved a lot this year, rising above 80 now. His long passes are decent, but that again is not his area. Alli is the playmaker next to him, so he’s the man to dictate the play. Cerri will grow to be a world class player, I’m sure of that. The man is only 19 years old and has an estimated worth of €40 Million euro’s. That says enough.

I was chasing him the whole summer. Everton kept on denying the players that I offered for him, and I didn’t want to splash too much cash on him after the other transfers (which you’ll read about shortly). After selling Holmén for €8.5 Million I finally had enough money to get Brendan. He’s tall, pacey, and very young. He has potential, and is versatile. He can play as a LB and a CB. I signed him to be my first choice CB, which is exactly what he’s doing right now. So far so good.

BOUGHT FROM OLYMPIQUE LYON FOR €8 Million + Yakovlev.

Now, this man has been haunting my dreams for 2 seasons now. He was too expensive last season, but I finally had enough resources to buy this man. He’s been so good so far. Very solid defensively, very pacey and excellent going forward. This man will dominate our right side for years to come.

Maximilian Arnold

BOUGHT FROM WOLFSBURG FOR €12 Million.

Our most expensive player this window. And probably our best. He has massive potential. He had some troubles getting into the squad, but he’s been vital lately. The only problem that I have is trying to fit him, Alli, Cerri, and Schöpf on the midfield. But that’s only positive, giving me enough freedom to try different players every match.

Hi guys,
You may have seen that I haven't been posting for a couple of weeks now. First I'll apologise for disappearing without a thrace. Now, the reason behind my sudden no-post time is that I happened to spill water over my laptop which lead to half of the keyboard breaking. Today I finally bought a keyboard and everything is working again. I'll continue posting the Hertha career shortly with an update covering everything that happened in the first half of the 2016-17 season.

So I am in the third season of my Portsmouth CM (Shoutout to all the Pompey Fans out there...lol) and we have been turning some heads but a first, a quick look back on how we got here

Season One: I took over Pompey from the ruins of League 2 (60% increase in budget, disable transfer in the summer and i did financial takeover)...The money I got from the takeover when straight into getting three 5/5 scouts and boy, it paid off immediately. Also I also used the money from the financial take over to bring in loan listed promising players btw the ages of 16 & 21 on a two year loan deal (a decision that im kind of regretting now. Fast forward to the end of season one, I won the league scoring 110 goals, conceding 51 and winning 45 games while losing 9 with 18 draws. I sold my best winger Bennet for $1.2M. I got kicked out of the J Paint Trophy but reached the semifinals of FA Cup and Quarters of Capital One.

Season Two: I started this season with the objective of selling all the players that i inherited while bringing in more scouted player to the team. The ones I was not able to sell was sent out on loan and the CPU also came in to feast in on expiring contracts like vultures Yipes! - Season two was not easy. At the beginning of the season, I lost the first three games, draw the next three and i didnt record my first victory until the 7 game of the season (you might as well call it the Mourinho Syndrome) - The board came knocking on my doors to get my act together and I went back to the drawing board. I switched from the 4-2-3-1 that made me a legend in season one to the 4-3-3 tiki taka invented in ajax but perfected at the Nou Camp. Before you know it, the flood gate of goal opened immediately. Although I was not able to win the league, I came in second to Huddersfield, managing to score 92 goals, conceding 51, winning 13, losing 8 but settling for a lot of draws, 20! I sold my CB Burgess for $450,000. Got knocked out of the FA in round 3 and Capital one in round 2. The board had to settle for just the promotion

Season 3 (in Progress):Finally in FL Championship (Hooray!!!) - The season started with a 2 - 0 defeat in the semi-finals of European International Cup to Arouca and season opener was not forgiving either. I played a 2-2 draw in front of my home fans. I redeemed myself with a 2-1 victory at home against bristol city. I thought the victory in capital one cup will bring me good fortunes in FL Championship but boy i couldn't have been more wrong. The next three games were alarming defeats. 2-1 at Peterborough, 2 -1 to Bournemouth and 4 -1 at wigan. The board came knocking asking what is going on and I gave them a 2-1 victory at Crawley Town in Capital one followed by a 2-0 victory at bolton. Since my victory at Bolton, I am yet to look back. Currently third in the league, won 13, drawn 4, lost 6, scored 29, conceded 19 (damm you Wigan!). I also i am in the round 3 of the FA and semi finals of capital one.

NOTE: The best game I ever played in terms of goal scoring was a 5 - 0 demolition of Notts County. Gosh! it rained so many delicious goals.

Russell Logan - Standing at 5' 11" & 174lb, 19 yrs old Russell Logan is not your conventional English Centre Back. Boosting a High/High Workrate, I cant help but play him in every match. Normally Logan will not make most team starting 11 but his playmaking ability has made him a force to be reckoned with. Logan can play both CB/CM but i deploy him as a LB. When I Logan plays well, then I have a great chance of winning.

Liam Bawling - Some players learn to be a leader while some are born leaders. The latter is the case of Mr Bawling. This 6 foot englishman has been the anchor of my defense from season one and he is showing great potential

Andre Domingues - A wise man once said that good things come in small package except when you are talking of Hitler or Napoleon - On that note, I present to you this 18yrs old left footed 5' 7" 66 OVR Brazilian centre midfielder. Although it took me half a season to give him the role of a defensive shield that was previously occupied by Hernan Roldan but I finally realize that this young man did have that special something. With a skill level 4 and medium/medium in workrate Andre or like I like to call him lil Dunga his putting smile on the faces of the home fan and recking havoc with every interception he makes.

Dimitri Philippoteaux : Coming out of the academy with the coolest last name (dont judge me), Dimitri has been a force to reckon with in the middle of the field especially getting crucial goal with his no nonsense attitude.

Enrique Ojeda: You know that your team is far from complete without a spanish playmaker. Just like Iniesta, this CAM Ojeda is not just short but also deadly. Curve - 88, Short Pass - 83, Long Pass - 80, Long shots - 76. He dribble and He scores - I cannot count how many times he has bailed me out in crucial games. He enjoys playing away games and he's got that special something.

York City enter 2016 with promotion in sight!
The first half of the 2015-16 has gone as close to plan results wise for York City as they currently sit in second place on the table, 3 points behind leaders Shrewsbury Town.
In a season that hasn't lacked in drama at all, The Minstermen remain unbeaten at Bootham Crescent and enter the new year with hopes of securing promotion and even dreams of overtaking the current league leaders.
It hasn't been all easy for York with plenty of drama taking place as the season has progressed. First there was Michael Coulson who has refused to sign a new deal with the club and will be looking for a move either in this window or for free when his contract expires.
There is also the current injury list which features no less than six names and is easily the longest in the division. Brad Halliday (2 months), Ryan Tafazolli (6 weeks), Matt Jones (2 weeks), Luke Summerfield (3 weeks) and Wes Fletcher (3 months) all picked up injuries over the Christmas period and will leave a huge hole in the team. Oluwafemi Ilesanmi (4 weeks) has also been missing for a couple of months after tearing his groin.
This season hasn't been about individuals however, it has been about the squad and a number of players have stepped up when given the opportunity along with the starting XI who have gelled together brilliantly so far this season.

Transfer Rumours
A number of clubs are believed to be interested in want away forward Michael Coulson including Blackburn.
Leeds United Are planning a double swoop for Goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik and Striker Wes Fletcher, though it will take a big offer to pry them away from the club.
Shaun Miller could be on the way out after finding himself out of favour at the club.

A 100 game player for the club after joining from Grimsby Town, Michael felt it was time for a change in his career and decided he'd like to leave Bootham Crescent. We would like to thank him for his contribution to the club

Shaun joined us from Coventry last season but struggled to regularly find a opportunities in the starting XI. We wish him all the best with his future.

Okay now this is really starting to bother me. I have 5 16 year olds in my youth academy and the tallest one is 5'5". SERIOUSLY????

Aside from those 5 I have a 15 year old who is 4'11" and I doubt he'll grow much in the next year. I don't know what the hell is going on or what these kids are being fed in Mexico. I might just fire this scout and hire another hoping that will get rid of the problem.
