I had the pleasure of watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens today and man, that movie was great! JJ Abrams did a very good job with the movie. The characters feel real and they are well built, there is real chemistry between the actors, the action scenes are fast-paced and thrilling, the lightsaber combat looks amazing and real instead of it being over-choreographed or just dudes poking with sticks and the camerawork is beautiful. My only problems are that I have to wait two years for the next one and that the movie had many Star Wars (or A New Hope)-like moments in it. This might be a small spoiler, even though it's not giving any plot aspects away, but there is a Starkiller base in the film and it's basically a third Death Star.

Overall it is a very good movie! Much, much better than the prequels but not as good as Star Wars or Empire Strikes Back. Still, it's a great film.

Also, yes, I do know that it comes out on the 18th in America :P

Lightsaber duels have been the best parts of the films! But yes the duel in this film did seem very real. This is my thought on it:

The duel didn't look as crazy as it has in other films, like in ROTS, because the people that dueled in VII are not fully trained. Neither Rey nor Kylo have completed training. While Kylo is very powerful with the force, it is clear he never completed his training before turning to the dark side by judging his skills with the lightsaber as well as the construction of his own lightsaber. I'm anxious to see how bad*** Abrams can make lightsaber duels once Kylo has completed his training like Snoke instructed at the end of the film, and once Rey gets trained by Luke. I'm also hoping that we'll get to see that Luke's still got it in Episode VIII. Can't wait for May 2017!!!

I didn't mind the A New Hope similarities. Amazing film!!

That scene, though. You know the one. Near the end. With the guy. And the other guy. And he does that thing. And we all saw it coming. Tragic.

it was still unbelievable. However, I think it was necessary for that to happen in order to set it apart from the other movies.

I also enjoy the lightsabre fights a lot but, and this will sound very mainstream, at times the amazing choreography is too amazing. Take for instance the Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel in RotS. The choreography is just flawless. You could argue that they were the two best jedi and that they knew everything about each other but still. The fight itself also goes on for a bit too long. I personally like the Luke against Vader fight(s) the most because there is a lot emotion in them and the choreography isn't over the top. John Williams' score made the duels even better, though.

To be fair Kylo got injured in the base when Chewie shot him and Rey found a connection to the Force. I still liked the duels very much because all of them felt very real. Almost any real person would've fought the same way as Finn or Rey.

Also, JJ Abrams is not directing the other two films. Rian Johnson is directing and writing the second one and Colin Trevorrow is doing the third one. I'd personally let Abrams do everything because he did an amazing job with this one and because he certainly knows how to make a sci-fi movie.

New patch has been absolutely wonderful. The game runs like a charm on WC using the OS Community slider set. Since I was just out of preseason, I started my career over. Will be getting the first post up today with updates from preseason up until the end of August.

Looking to start with Chelsea and Stoke for my first careers on '16 at Christmas. Any suggestions on players to sign/areas to strengthen for both teams?

If you want to keep it realistic with Chelsea, grab either John Stones or Raphael Varane with Antoine Griezmann. You should also get a partner for Nemanja Matic on his level. We've been linked with Marco Verratti and Moussa Dembele. If you aren't looking for realistic signings, just pick up Mats Hummels, Robert Lewandowski and Paul Pogba. You can offload Oscar and John Obi Mikel to make room for them.

If you want to keep it realistic with Chelsea, grab either John Stones or Raphael Varane with Antoine Griezmann. You should also get a partner for Nemanja Matic on his level. Yeah I was thinking about those two for a fourth centre half and as a replacement for Terry when he retires. Either of them and Zouma will make my centre of defence very solid for years to come. Throw in Courtois behind and I'm sorted. Griezmann actually never entered my thinking but now that you mention it, he would be a realistic but also quality 2nd striker behind Costa with Remy, Falcao and Traore backing up. Thanks for that suggestion! Verratti could also be a great buy alongside Matic, I could possibly push Cesc further forward or even sell him on. Pogba will probably wait until season 2, we'll see how Oscar and Cesc do. Mikel, I think I might keep around for backup since he's been a loyal player all these years.

Damn it, why do I always have to differ from you! I've always felt the Anakin vs Obi-Wan duel has been the best duel on film!! I can watch it over and over again and as I'm watching it I don't want it to end! IMO that's also a VERY emotional fight. In fact, Revenge of The Sith is one of the few movies that can actually make me cry. That's right, Hayden Christensen makes me tear up and not in a bad way. His scenes with Padme in Attack of The Clones make me cringe but I've always felt he NAILED Revenge of The Sith. He got the perfect blend of anger and suffering in his acting for that film. I'm actually hoping to see him in one of the upcoming films [emoji33]

Yeah Kylo was injured but he still hasn't completed his training and it is evident. I think they made it obvious he isn't fully trained on purpose. Can't wait to see what he's like once he has completed his training and hopefully he becomes a powerful and feared villain like Vader, as he aspires to be.

Really?? I didn't know Abrams wasn't directing the rest until you mentioned it. I don't get why they're going with 3 different directors, but I think Disney have a clear picture of where they want these films to go. Seriously I hate that we have to wait again. At least Rogue One will serve as a nice appetizer

Alright, to get back to the FIFA topic I wanted to let you guys know I have finally started a career mode outside of Mexico! I'm on season 3 with Guadalajara but I decided to start a new Guadalajara career after all the winter transfers so I figured what's the point of continuing my first career if I already have plans to delete it. I decided to start my first career abroad in Germany for the sole reason that I want to face Bayer Leverkusen and their goal scoring machine Chicharito! Lol. Initially I was going to use Union Berlin as I've always talked about doing, but out of respect for our dear friend Simp I decided not to and instead I chose FC Köln. I've been playing on legendary and the beginning was a failure, I want this career to be a struggle, but now that I figured out how to use this team I'm worried that I'll finish near the top of the table which is not what I want. If it gets too easy I'll be dropping this career and go somewhere else so I'm still not sure if I'll be posting about it. What I will say though is that the Bundesliga experience in FIFA has blown me away!! I never realized how generic the Liga MX is in the game until now. Just WOW. Makes me want to play in England again!
