Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Looks like my post on the previous page was ignored. Oh well I guess I should comment on some of the CM's I've actually been paying attention to.

@Keano: Good start with Accrington, I'd be happy with that start from a team like that.

@Simppu: Interesting choice picking Bilbao. I'll have to go back and read your earlier posts but good job in October. Shame in being knocked out of the CDR so early but nobody's perfect.

Moose: I'm like 5 videos behind on your West Ham CM man I'll try to catch up when I get a chance.

Those are the only ones I've been able to see at this point. I know we've got a few "newbies" in the thread so I'll be checking up on u at a later date. It seems like we're missing a few people but I can't quite figure out who.

Basically, during that long spell of going winless (which is still going on) the team just seemed to lack any sort of creativity, attacking quality, motivation and effort. Good example of this is the home draw against rock-bottom Hannover where we took the lead in the first five minutes. We then went ahead to pass the ball around defence and Hannover equalised around fifteen minutes later. Instead of pushing for a leading goal at this point, the team continued to pass the ball around the back with a few hopeful long balls now and then. Furthermore, all of our attacks consisted of a few one-two passes, passes out wide and hopeful crosses. There were also a few terrible calls from officials (two penalties were not given against Darmstadt and an onside goal which would've put us in the lead got disallowed) but we can't blame the referees.

There isn't a qualifier for the last Europa League spot. In Germany, the fifth and the sixth team of the league qualify for the Europa League group stage while the cup winner or the runner-up, if the winner has already qualified for a European competition, qualify for the third qualification round of the EL. If both the cup winner and the runner-up qualify for European competitions like Bayern and Dortmund this year, the seventh-placed team of the Bundesliga (Hertha!) take their place in the qualification round of the Europa League. So to recap it quickly: Schalke and Mainz are in the Europa League group stage while Hertha is in the qualifying round.

As far as your Accrington career goes, you started the season off very well and Morgan was banging in goals. Then he suddenly went missing in October and you dropped quite a few points. What happened? Luckily that didn't mean anything as you're still in a very good position to earn that automatic promotion!

Indi - Congrats on the title, what a season with Sunderland! A shame about the FA Cup final loss against Chelsea, though. I'm sure it will make you hungrier for titles next season. You have a very good squad, too, with old favourite Buckley doing a great job. By the way, I voted for Sunderland without financial takeover.

Yanks - Some good performances in February and March despite the fact that you are still a bit inconsistent. What do you think, why have you been struggling in quite a few games this season? Eriksen looks like a quality signing and he has seemed to have an immediate impact for you. The league table is looking very, very tight but you should be able to finish in the top three.

Sportsie - Yes, absolutely finish your Real Betis career! It's great to see that you are still trying to get a career mode going!

Rabbit - Newport: Great season so far with you going for that automatic promotion and with a spot in the J. Paint Trophy final! A very eventful transfer window, too. I was shocked to see McKay and Salo go but I absolutely agree with your decision to sell them because you got a ton of money for them. Luan looks like an amazing Bosman signing while Ambrose and Beom are quality signings with very good potentials.

Kayseri: You struggled quite a bit in September and October after a great August but I wouldn't get worried about it. Türüc and Rivas have been very important for you and I'm sure they are a big reason behind your fifth position in the league. Also, huge congratulations on qualifying for the World Cup with Venezuela! I'm sure it will be special to play with them there.

To answer your question about what my beef with Finland is, I honestly have no clue. Living in this country isn't that bad but for some reason I despise Finland when it comes to sports. Nice 0-0 draw with Bulgaria there, too

SMH - A shame about Mallorca as it was just about to get interesting as you got promoted to La Liga. I personally voted for Hannover but I'm really looking forward to your career with Malaga!

Moose - Congratulations on the FA Cup title! What a game that was with Mark Noble basically controlling the game! Good to see that Dybala and Lacazette are playing well, too. With one game to go you can still steal the title from Chelsea and I wish you luck in that. What are your plans for the summer transfer window?

Cruzerr - Solid performances with Everton so far although December was a very inconsistent month. Lukaku has been getting a lot of goals for you so far. By the way, you never did this :P
What about the league post you promised, Cruzerr? - Well, Rabbit, it will come today! Stay Tuned!
Ducks - I apologise for not watching your videos but I really haven't had time to watch them.

Tex - Happy anniversary! Good to hear that everything is going well with Mrs Bumosix! Good start to the season with Sheffield as you picked up solid results. Are you continuing this career?

Cabee - Good and busy transfer window! I'm a bit surprised to see how many good players, like Une Larsson, you sold but you also picked up some good replacements for them in Zivkovic and Tielemans. The starting eleven is looking very good! Good luck this season!

Aquaman - I'm fine with any career you do as long as you do one :P

That should be everything. I'm very sorry if I missed someone!

Man that sounds rough and obviously tough to watch as a fan. Have you guys got money to spend in the summer?

The only reason I asked about a playoff was because I thought I saw an article about Mainz and Hertha having to play to decide the league position because or them being tied. I must have been mistaken then! Europa League is probably more Hertha's level atm I'd say.

Aye, Morgan had a tough October. He was just really unlucky, keepers making great saves or hitting the post etc. Thankfully I've got four decent strikers at my disposal.

damn this thread was fire over the last 24 hours or so. Simp, welcome to the club of watching awful soccer. I think if you had watched West Brom play all season you might feel better about Hertha. I thought for sure I'd be a WBA fan by now since I follow them so closely after Rondon's signing but no, they're AWFUL to watch. Almost makes me wanna do a WBA CM just to feel better about it but it'd be too easy for me lol.

Oh yes, it was horrendous to watch. I'm not quite sure about the budget but we should be able to get a couple of good players in. So far we have been heavily linked with Hannover's Hiroshi Kiyotake who is a capable and creative attacking midfielder and with their defender/defensive midfielder Salif Sané who I find to be a very good defender. The only problem is that quite a few clubs are going after both of those players. Also, I really don't think we need another attacking midfielder. A quality winger would be much more useful.

I guess the article you read was about Hertha and Mainz facing each other in the last game of the season to decide which team would finish in sixth.

Just like the good old days of summer 2014 when there were around 10 new pages every day!

That sucks about West Brom. I actually had a similar experience with my local Finnish football team that got promoted to the highest division last year. I was glad that I could finally have a local football team that I could get a season ticket for but after going to one of their games I did a full 180 and never went to their game again. The game, which was against the Finnish champions, was dull and boring and the atmosphere is comparable to one of a funeral.

You though Hertha had a bad few months? My team Palace were in 5th on Boxing Day and now we just barely avoided relegation!

think of it this way: at least Hertha scored more than a goal/game

Fifa 16 has been a horrible experience for me and I'm reverting back to 15 in hopes of regaining the fun factor that FIFA used to bring to me.

it took me a long time to adjust to '16 after skipping '15 and playing '14 for a long time in my 360. Now I can't get enough of '16 on the One, why do you think I run two CM's lol

I'm the opposite of you in terms of 16. I can't stand it this year! 15 was way more entertaining for me as shown by my Betis CM going 8 seasons before my disc broke.
