Both victories came by 1-0 margins, and earning the honor of Player of the Month is midfielder Mariano Arini who scored the decisive goal in an away triumph for the Wolves at Bari.

    Manager's Thoughts
Two wins and advancing in the TIM Cup are positives, but I felt we were really outplayed against Bari and tremendously lucky to get the 1-0 result. There were too many turnovers of possession and other mental lapses, which is disappointing because we performed very well against Pescara. One of the few bright spots from the Bari match (besides the 3 points) was that we were excellent defending corner kicks. The problem was, they had at least 6 or 7 of them, which obviously is way too many. I don't know if we can gain promotion this year, but I'm definitely looking for a more consistent level of play from our guys.

    September 2015 - Fixtures
    9/1 - vs Virtus Lanciano
    9/5 - at Pescara
    9/12 - vs Como
    9/19 - at Trapani
    9/22 - vs Ascoli
    9/26 - at Salernitana

It will be a busy September with 6 league matches. Honestly, it's too early to tell who are the legit contenders in Serie B. We know Pescara is a solid side having played them in the TIM Cup, but the rest of the slate is a toss-up at this point. I'm just hoping to take as many points as possible, with the idea that we need to be in the Top 3 range.

I must admit I'm behind in catching up with a lot of CM's but I blame the NBA Finals and Copa America. Who's been following the CA? Euro starts this weekend right?

Arnautovic made a great turn to get around Brayford and fired a shot from the edge of the box into the top left corner. Pritchard stood over a free kick from 30 yards out and decided to go for it hitting a perfect shot curling away from the keeper into the top left corner. Clasie sent the ball ahead into the box and Sidwell ran past his man and slid to touch it around the keeper and into the net. Townsend attacked on the counter and beat his man before sending a ball around him on the ground for Abraham to run on to and finish under the diving keeper for the first Premier League win of the season.

Match Summary: Long sent a beautiful cross in from the right wing and found Juanmi all by himself on the back post for the volley out of the air and into the net. Emptage in his debut beat his man down the left side and crossed it into the box and it bounced once and then Adams hit it on the volley into the top right corner for the late equalizer.

Match Summary: Alcock cut in from the right wing and split two defenders to get into the box and then fired a powerful shot with his left foot into the top left corner. Collins lined up a free kick that seemed beyond his range but he hit it perfectly and saw it sail into the top left corner to double the lead.

        Sheffield United 1 - 0 Sunderland AFC
        SHU - Townsend 79'
        MOTM: Barcham

Match Summary: The score remained deadlocked until late in the game when Pritchard played the ball outside to Townsend and he beat his man to turn into the box and kept working towards the middle to get his shot off and inside the left post to earn all 3 points for the home side.

                Amkar Player of the Month

RM Georgi Peev, 63 Ovr, 36 years old, Bulgaria

In a sterling month of December for Amkar Perm that saw the club jump into a European spot, club legend Georgi Peev played out of his mind in leading the Red and Blacks to 3 victories. Peev scored the only goal of the match in a 1-0 win over Lokomotiv Moscow while also earning Man of the Match honors. The Bulgarian then notched a brace and another MOTM performance in a 4-1 triumph over Kuban Krasnodar before ending the calendar year with the game-winning goal as Amkar prevailed 3-0 over Spartak Moscow. Despite being 36 years of age, Peev has unquestionably been the strongest performer all season for manager Konstantin Zyryanov's side.

                Manager's Thoughts
We have finally hit peak form, and it has pushed us into 5th place in the RFPL table, which is a Europa League position. I don't know how long we can continue to play like this, but in addition to the 9 points in December, we also grabbed crucial victories over clubs fighting for the same league standings as us. Georgi Peev was brilliant and seems to have found the fountain of youth. Evgeniy Pomazan has been very good in goal, and the secondary scoring from players like Fegor Ogude and Alexandr Salugin has been very vital to our success.

                January 2016 - Fixtures
                1/30 - vs Krylya

The Russian winter break leaves us with only 1 match in January, a clash against lowly Krylya Sovetov Samara. With our current form, we should definitely expect a victory, though we can't forget a 2-0 loss to Krylya on Match Day 1. We will also look to strengthen our side in the transfer window as a European finish is now a real possibility.

I hadn't been able to watch any of your videos for this CM so far so I decided to take some time to catch up since you videos aren't that long.

1st video: liked the team choice, right away I recognize Alnwick because he had a very good season for that club in my Newport CM in the season I just wrapped up in League 1. The other name that stands out to me is Samuelsen, the loanee from West Ham, because he actually repeatedly caught my eye IRL when Peterborough faced against West Brom in the F.A. Cup this past season. Hell of a start to pre-season.

2nd video: There was a very sweet through pass at 4:50 that got my attention. The subsequent shot went wide but the pass gets my seal of approval. I'm glad Alnwick is performing for you the way I expect him to but then I noticed Samuelsen wasn't even on your bench for the season opener and I wonder what his status is? Congrats on starting the season with a W.

3rd video: There's Samuelsen starting at CAM! But it doesn't seem like he had a good game vs Birmingham and you lost that game Great reaction from your guys to score a goal at the end of the first half vs Oldham right after getting down 0-2 but too bad you couldn't complete the comeback. Looks like Samuelsen had a bit of a better game but can't blame you for trying someone else at CAM after 2 losses. ARE YOU KIDDING ME with that save Alnwick pulls off at 5:52? WOW. And Samuelsen comes in to score off the bench!!! lol. And then you tried him as a striker in the following game but he couldn't come through for you, shame. Solid start to the season man.

I swear every game I watched West Ham play this year he was unbelievable. And then what he just did to open the Euros was just world class in every facet of the game.

As Keano pointed out, it's good to see that Roberto (who might just be your lover :P ) is already making an impact with that 'lovely head of hair'. Well-deserved win against Watford, too. Out of the players at the end I'd go for Rondon because he isn't that popular on the game and it'd be fun to see how he does for you. As some YT comments suggested, bringing Carlos Tevez back would also be amazing!
Haha, hey I can certainly appreciate a luscious head of hair like my own! He's a classy player as well, so really doing the job. I see a lot of you guys have some love for Rondon so I'll keep that in mind!

As for strikers, go really young imo (Solanke, Rashford) or a bit older, is Vardy still decent?
It's tough, I will say the nice thing is I think that we have so much quality all over the pitch that we can play 4-4-2 diamond and let Payet be the real star, or we can go 4-4-2 flat and the wingers can add some width to our play.

The real thing that I want to try is maybe the 4-2-2-2 with Payet one side playing a bit more narrow, and then the likes of Tello or another winger on the other side who can add some width, so that could be an option?

Two class midfielders that are bringing your team to the next level. Sure the prices were a bit hefty but I'm confident they'll repay every penny and Sergi "fine head of hair" Roberto is already on his way to doing that. You dominated your two opening games but my God, Lacazette's finishing was awful. Dybala showed him how to do it and the gave a great cross to Roberto so he could use his "great head of hair" and score. Great to see Masana get his first goal for the club.

Imo I'd go for Rondon as your backup, he's a proper beast up front and has Prem experience which is invaluable. Slightly older too which is also nice considering Lacazette and Dybala are still young.
Yeah, it's definitely shocking that Lacazette hasn't finished, he better find his shooting boots if he doesn't want a new striker to come in and knock him to the bench. It's like he's still on holiday after his last season! Fair points on why to bring in Rondon!

Brooks has been fantastic, he's so well rounded that he makes a few of our other center backs fairly expendable because we seem to have a ton of depth there and some young boys that need some match time!

HE'S STAYING, I SWEAR TO YOU HE IS GOING NOWHERE.

For real though I'm a minor bit worried that the likes of PSG or Madrid will make him their flavor of the month for 60million quid just because the can, but I don't think there's any way he leaves for anything less. My ideal scenario (and this is West Ham bias thinking) is that if he plays this well then with Europe looming for us he may actually attract quality players who were on the fence about coming to West Ham. I'M DELUDED.

Solid start to the season man.
vrabbit - Thanks heaps for watching and taking the time to write that feedback, I try to keep my vids to 10 - 12 minutes so it's not too demanding on the viewer and can maybe watch it on a break at work or something!.
Yeh I have always had a soft spot for Peterborough, I follow Everton in the Premier League but the Posh are my lower league team...I think everyone has a soft spot for a lower tier side!. Congrats on the promotion what a story Ambrose has become in your CM!....My scouts have him short listed!

Samuelsen is such a strange player looking at his stats, He is listed as a right mid, but has no pace, just really really good ball control, and he scored a brilliant goal IRL for Peterborough in a League game, I couldn't play him in the first game because our star CAM Marcus Madison returned from injury but subsequently got re-injured, So I tried Samuelsen back at CAM, He scored that goal playing as a striker, as I said his finishing stats are poor but his dribbling stats open up a lot of options...I like him at striker, as Coulibaly hasn't been in great form and I think i might run with Samuelsen as striker.... Alnwick consistently plays above his rating and manages too always get a glove to tough shots!!.

Thanks heaps for watching, and look forward to a Newport update!
