You definitely paid off the ref Simp! Like you said, bad first month but also realistic in the league. Champions League not so much haha but still, good going and I'm also looking forward to seeing how you do with France.

Nice signings Rabbit! Great to see Salo back and you've improved the squad quality. Some interesting strikers too.

Amazing team Gholdt! World class players all over the pitch.

I've been playing career modes since Fifa 2010, and I've enjoyed many of them as well.

I've spent most of my Fifa 16 play time on just a few career modes. I had one playing as Pompey, but I accidentally deleted my savefile I tried another career mode with Oxford United, but I made some bad transfers which ruined my fun.

There's one career mode, though, which took a lot of my time. I'm playing as AFC Wimbledon, and I'm currently in the 2027-2028 season. I can make another post and explain about my Wimbledon career mode and show my formation(s) and players. Just let me know if you would be interested to see it.

to end this post, I'm starting a Arsenal career mode after I posted this message. I want to make it semi-realistic as well. I just want to try and see how far I can bring the Gunners, with Fifa 17 around the corner. I'll finish this career mode and my Wimbledon career mode, and that should carry me to the release of Fifa 17.
Welcome! We love to see some new faces around here and I hope you stick around and enjoy this as much as we do. Your Wimbledon career is just insane! That's the most loaded squad I've ever seen, you definitely built yourself a juggernaut there.

Looking forward to seeing what you got for us in the future!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

            Arsenal career mode.

Alright, so here’s my first update of my Arsenal career. I’ve got to apologize for the August month because I forgot to note the goal scorers down because I was too busy thinking about transfers, lol. Sorry about that.
Speaking about transfers, let’s just start with those, shall we. I didn’t include the transfers that the game already made (Cech to Arsenal, Podolski and Diaby sold).

            TRANFERS 2015/2016

            PLAYERS OUT:

Mathieu Flamini has been sold to Southampton for €3.1 million. Reason: Age, too many players for his position whom are better.

Serge Gnabry has been sold to Barcelona FC for €3.9 million. Reason: Decent offer for a youth player which I wouldn’t really use anyway. I rate Iwobi way higher, for instance.

Only sold those 2 players, the rest of the money was from the pre-season tournament.

            PLAYERS IN:

            André Carrillo
            Sofifa link: http://sofifa.com/player/203299
            Position bought for: RW, RAM
Bought for €11.55 million from Sporting Lissabon.
Reason for purchase: 12 months left on his contract, and I don’t trust my right wingers enough. Campbell really isn’t doing the trick for me, and Walcott is more a backup left winger. Oxlade is nice, but I can’t depend on him for a whole season. I was actually using Welbeck as right winger, and he was on a decent run. But getting Carrillo, who has 5* skills as well, for 11 million is very good in my eyes.

            Marko Arnautović
            Sofifa link: http://sofifa.com/player/184200
            Position bought for: Backup CAM
Bought for €13 million from Stoke City.
Reason for purchase: I rate Arnautovic in real life. He’s quite good, and he’s been one of my best subs so far. He makes an instant impact whenever I sub him in, because he’s gigantic ingame. He wins a lot of headers, and his footwork is good enough to beat defenders. He pairs up very well with my striker, which I won’t tell you just yet who that is

            Kalidou Koulibaby
            Sofifa link: http://sofifa.com/player/201024
            Position bought for: CB
Bought for €21 million from Napoli.
Reason for purchase: Arsenal needed someone like Koulibaly. I wanted to get Mustafi because it’s realistic, but Valencia wanted 44 million which is just too much in my eyes. I was debating between Manolas and Koulibaly, but Kouli turned out to be cheaper. Has been solid so far. Basically black Mertesacker with pace.

            Maxime Gonalons
            Sofifa link: http://sofifa.com/player/193116
            Position bought for: CDM, CM
Bought for €21 million from Olympique Lyon.
Reason for purchase: I wanted a tall midfielder who can defend the back four and can pass a ball. He started off very well, with Cazorla next to him. But recently Ramsey is starting to take that spot, because I like ramsey better. Gonalons is good, and he controls the midfield expertly. But he’s sluggish when going forward, often runs past my striker, and his passing stats feel way lower than they are. Overpaid for what he brings to the team, oh well.

And now, the star man who has been doing so well for us:

            Edinson Cavani
            Sofifa link: http://sofifa.com/player/179813
            Position bought for: ST
Bought for €49 million from Paris Saint-Germain

Reason for purchase: Do I really need to explain why I bought Cavani? Giroud as my main striker is something that I will never accept, lol. Welbeck is good, but he’s more of a backup right winger as of now. Cavani is our topscorer as we speak. I’ve just entered the January transfer window, and he’s on 11 goals in the league, with 5 assists as well. Scored 4 in the Champions Cup, and 3 in the Capital One Cup. Basically all I can ask from him. I wanted to get Icardi first, but then I found out that Cavani’s work rate has been edited a few months ago. He no longer has high/high, but EA has changed it to high/medium. I really don’t like strikers with high/high, even though I used both Müller and Kane and they did very well in other careers.
tl;dr:Cavani is a beast and has been scoring goals left and right.

August games(as I said before, I forgot to note the goal scorers down. Sorry I’ll add the September games as well)

            Arsenal 4 – 0 West Ham
            Crystal Palace 2 – 2 Arsenal
            Arsenal 1 – 0 Liverpool

With these new revenue/expense features I am definitely planning to bring back some 5 year plan goals involving paying off debt and making profits each season. Lots of ideas going through my head, I went ahead and pre-ordered FIFA 17 yesterday haha

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Hey ya'll. So after my FIFA 16 suffered a premeditated attack from my dog (my wife is also a suspected accomplice; Investigation is ongoing and pending), I began to go through some FIFA withdrawals until one day I was at my parent's and I found my old FIFA 15 copy. Immediately put it in and began playing, but it only led to much more stress and frustration. I don't know how bad the most recent 16 patch is, but this 15 is really bad. I mean, really bad. After trying to start a new career mode and easily being disappointed by the gameplay and lack of career mode features when compared to 16, I ended up loading up my old Osasuna save. Guess who's hooked again lol

Osasuna has been really fun. I lack the energy to start a new career mode in 15, so Osasuna is perfect. Good set of players with plenty of talented youth graduates coming in ready to collect minutes. I'm currently using a 4-3-3 Attack, previously used a 4-3-3 Holding, but scoring is just so damn difficult. When I first loaded up the save I was 1st in La Liga. I'm now in 3rd and I'm the master of draws. Scoring is so hard that I'm lucky to rescue a draw every game. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not used to this game play anymore (which is pretty fast when compared to 16) or if I just lack the quality up top. I'm using an 83 OVR Guillermo as ST, with 73 OVR Davila on RW and 81 OVR youth graduate Romeu on LW. Believe it or not, Davila is holding his own creating great scoring chances for Guillermo while the higher rated Romeu has been only decent. He has talent and some games he'll be a beast, but he finishes way too many games with just a 6.5 match rating. To resolve, I decided to splash some big cash in the winter window and purchased Bojan from Stoke. Got him for $23,800,000 (a record breaking deal in my careers as most of you know) and I know Bojan has completely fell off from the pedestal he was once standing on, but that's what led me to sign him. I want to change his story and lead him to the glory he was supposed to achieve in Spain!

So that's just a quick recap of what's been going on over here. Glad to see there's still activity on here and I can't wait for 17!! I'll definitely make some time to comment on the careers here. And by the way, does anyone remember a solution to the flat back like in 15? It's so annoying when the opposition received the ball and I have to make one of my defenders sprint to midfield to pressure because the back line is sitting way too far back and to make it worse my fullbacks are sitting back like center backs. Help?

                  Arsenal career mode

The last update I gave you all was the Champions League game against Olympiakos, which was a disappointing draw. Overall I’m quite happy with the squad, as I said I’m in January at the moment, but there’s one player who is just not doing it for me. Mesut Özil. He only plays good 1 out of every 5 games, and even then it’s a mediocre performance. He feels sluggish, slow, bad on and off the ball. Goes missing for most of the game. Weird. I’m trying Alexis and Arnautovic on CAM and it goes way better. Still, I can’t sell or bench Özil, that’s just too unrealistic. Hopefully he’ll pick it up in the second half of the season.

Anyway, the October games are up!

                  Arsenal 1 – 0 Manchester United
                  8’ Carillo 1 – 0

                  Cech 7.9

Oh, I’ve got the most surprising news ever for every Arsenal fan…Wilshere is injured! He’ll be out for 8 weeks, after suffering a injury at the international break. Thanks, Woy.

Man of the match: Chambers 7.7

there we go. we won most of our games. we're struggling a little bit in the Champions Cup, as Basel kept us at a draw as well. we won against Bayern Munich though, and if it weren't for Neuer we could be walking away with a 5 or 6-1 victory. Bellerin picked up a red card in the Spurs game, but that's alright. I do miss Wilshere, because he was an ideal substitute to break a game open.

Anyway, if you guys have any criticism or feedback, just let me know

Notts County, Plymouth, Cambridge? Could pick anyone really. Maybe read up on histories and see what appeals to you.

Thanks! I looked into those, but I'm going purely on kits right now. I'm leaning towards Bristol Rovers, so that's probably the one that I'll start with.

                            LOL, me either!

I am in the process of working on an update for my Arsenal career mode. I'm at the semi-finals of the Champions League, with 4 league games left too (season 2; final season before '17 comes out). Update coming soon...

Arsenal Football Club | April 2017 Update

I've been steadily playing this career mode, but stopped updating it online--as I just got a bit burned out and wanted to spend more time playing rather than updating. Nonetheless, I am nearing the end of season 2 (my final season w/ FIFA 16) and thought I would post an update.

As a recap, here's how I fared in the 4 Cups in Season 1...

League Cup - Eliminated by Aston Villa in R16
FA Cup - lost to Manchester United in the final
                              Premier League - CHAMPIONS
Champions League - lost to Manchester City in semifinals
                              ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, it's the end of April 2017 (Season 2), and I've reached the semifinals again in the Champions League, getting ready to take on PSG in Paris, in the first leg.

There are 4 league games left--and I currently sit in 2nd behind Chelsea. Mathematically, only Top 3 can win the title. If Chelsea wins their next fixture v Everton, Spurs eliminated from contention.

Giroud obviously is having a monster season. I signed Lukaku after Season 1, and he can hardly see the field as I am scoring with Giroud in nearly every league appearance he makes.

The FA Cup Final set for Chelsea v Aston Villa.

Manchester City over Everton (on PKs) for the League Cup.

So guys, I've got some really bad news. I accidentally saved OVER my Arsenal career mode.......

I'm really really sorry about that. I tried everything to get it back, but all my automatic saves are from my Bristol Rovers career.....I'm sorry but my Arsenal career is gone

I wont be starting it again, as I really can't be bothered. My Bristol Rovers career is going well, we're at the end of the second season right now. But actually...

I've got a replacement idea for my Arsenal career mode, based upon this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knIN42dMbng

He opened 4 packs using a mobile app, which is a card collection game, and he used the players that he got in those packs. So this can be interesting to play a season with randomnized players. I'll be opening my 4 packs after this post, and I'll let you guys know which ones I got

by the way, the packs are based upon the new season.
