Finally got my database edited and started my CM with Newcastle. Through my first three friendlies I went 1-0-2 with 2 1-1 draws and a 1-0 win. Loaned out my younger players that weren't going to get rotation time and packed Cabaye's bags for Germany and sent him to Byern for £9.5m after Arsenal lowballed me at £4.5m (had to laugh at how true to life this was). Bought Sterling for £3m to rotate with and step in for Remy when his loan is up. Now I just need to get a replacement in the center for Cabaye. After the transfer Gosling apparently lost his mind because he came to me and said he would be a good replacement for his spot.

Love how the fullbacks push up this year and Santon has already notched two goals for me. Not really looking forward to my first premier match with Man City.

Started up my Burton Albion CM (Randomly selected them in FIFA 13 and fell in love with them) but have to stop it until I find a decent set of Sliders.

I have played around 8 games and there have been a total of 3 Goals scored... It doesn't help that I am going with Manual for the first time but the CPU hasn't been able to really do anything against me either.

Looking at the Team I am just trying to sign a RB on Loan since we only have $500,000 USD for Transfers... and I need to use most of that to secure a GK since my Starter isn't the greatest and my Backup is a Loan.

Also, what do you guys use for Financial Strictness? I have it set to Moderate (75%) but I would like to play as realistic as possible.

A few weeks into my second season with Burton Albion, I gained promotion to League 1 in the first season, I started getting international offers.

I received offers from Paraguay, Venezuela, Hungary and Wales. I accepted the Wales position (Bale, how could I not?).

Not sure if it was like this last year, but basically the offer is open for about six weeks, so I had time to mull it over and wait for other offers to come in. I accepted the Wales job in a heatbeat.

I took over for the team two games into Euro qualifying. One thing I dont' like is I can't check the tables for other Euro groups, which is a total drag.

My goals are to qualify for Euro and qualify for World Cup. So far, I am 2-2-0 I took over the team at 1-1-0) and atop the group, which includeds France, Ireland, Poland and Turkey (one other team is in it, too, but I can't remember.)

Random thought: Anyone else ALWAYS play against Finland in friendlies? It happened all the freaking time in FIFA 13.

I've started one with West Brom (the club I support). I brought in Antunes, a Portuguese left back who plays for Malaga, for £3.5 million. I am in October (I got the early release and then had to buy the retail one). I've had a good start.

League:
West Brom 2-1 Southampton
Lambert scored in the first half, Mulumbu equalized just after half time and Sessegnon scored a great goal to win the game

Everton 0-1 West Brom
Anelka scored a penalty just before half time

West Brom 3-2 Swansea
They scored with Bony, I replied with Amalfitano. Sessegnon put me 2-1 up at half time. Michu equalised for them. Amalfitano scored a header in the 87th minute

Fulham 0-0 West Brom
Boring no score draw

West Brom 4-2 Sunderland
Went 2-0 up with McAuley and then Antunes. They levelled with a brace from Altidore. Long scored a brace in the last 5 minutes

Man Utd 1-0 West Brom
My first loss. Smalling scored a corner in the last minute. I had some good chances

West Brom 1-0 Arsenal
Good upset victory. I had 16 shots (9 on target). They had 2 (1 on target). Anichebe scored a flick header

League Cup:
West Brom 5-0 Leeds
Best performance of the season. Leeds didn't have a single shot and only 39% possession.

West Brom 3-1 Reading
Didn't play to well, only 45% possession. I only had 3 shots as well. Reading had 6.

Summary: 3W - 2D - 5L (11 points) - 11th in Bundesliga
So I chose Werder because they're one of those teams that was very up and down during the 2000's but has fallen on hard times a bit. Plus, who am I kidding, they're kits are gorgeous. I went after my namesake and distant relative (I'm assuming) in Sebastian Rudy from Hoffenheim. A solid holding midfielder who has a little creativity.
In his first match, found some room in the midfield against Nuremberg and hit a long range effort, ended up winning that match 2-0.

Highlights:
1-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund. I played them so tight, but a piece of artistry from Reus on a volley put me behind. We played with out hair on fire for the final 30 minutes only to come up short.

2-1 win over VfB Stuttgart. They struck early, but Elijero Elia, my speedy LM took over from there. An assist and a fancy finish on a cross (love finishing on this game by the way, don't feel like I've scored the same way twice) and I had the much needed win (form was dropping until then)

However, after the Stuttgart match.... I was curious and checked available jobs. Atletico Madrid was there so I goofed around and threw my resume in. They offered me the gig so off to Madrid I go. 39 million in transfer fees and a potent lineup has been underachieving (7th in the table) so I'm on board now.

So we just got through September in my first year. Here are our results:

This year I've decided to manage Portsmouth. They have got some young players and some experienced players with a reasonable budget in League 2. Hopefully I can gain promotion in my first season but it will be challenging. I will keep you updated.

I started a career with Blackburn and it's crashing and burning around me because, for the life of me, I just cannot get behind these kits.

Blue & Red are awful in combination; they look like some gaudy nightmare kit that the U.S. would have worn in the mid 90's.

Oh well. I really wanted to go with Nottingham Forest but I really don't like their away stripe this year. Still, it's better than Blackburn!

After a VERY frustrating Sunday playing '14, I decided to just stick with my VP Career and not play my Manager Career until I can consistently do well on World Class. For now I'll stick to Pro without sliders, maybe with for as long as my ego can take it.

Position: RF (I wanted this to be ST)
League: Barclay's Premier League
Team: Arsenal/on loan at Cheltenham Town
Objectives: 7.5 avg rating, 19 goals, 5, assists, 22% shooting

I haven't done a Player Career in a while. It's kind of refreshing to not have to worry about ever aspect of the team and just go out and play. Also, although I support Arsenal, it's the only time I'll play as them since I like to start from the bottom. What hasn't changed is that I'm fighting the compulsive urge to restart this Player Career in order to fine tune my player. That RF instead of ST is gnawing at me.

Anyway, I played the first friendly and was then put on list for loan, ending up at Cheltenham Town in League 2. I can't remember what my OVR started at but I'm currently at 72 with 24% of my accomplishments completed. I've been selected for US International Friendlies (my player is from the US), one of which saw me played at RM (I bet it's that damned RF listing).

I'm already pretty deep into the season so I won't bother going into lots of detail but we're currently in 1st place and tied with Chesterfield. I have 10 goals, 1 assist, and my shooting is at 18%. On that note I'll mention that this is the first time in a LOOOONG time that I don't think I'll be able to exceed all of my season objectives which is kind of exciting. I expect to be in a mad dash near the end of the season to get as man goals and assists as possible. More updates coming soon.

This is who I went with as well. Won the League 2 my first year and made the quarter finals of the FA cup but lost to Arsenal. Now onto my second year and hoping to continue the success of last season now in League 1. Slowly building my team up up players fitting the style I like as well as trying to develop an effective youth system.

First attempt is with Fleetwood Town. Big transfer budget, small wages. Going to push for promotion by bringing in some loans from Premier League and Championship League teams. May scour the free agents as well and see if any could help right away.

in my youth academy, I have a 5* 5* scout from Italy. trying to keep it relatively. if i see a youth that has a 94 potential from one month of scouting, i sign him immediately, then develop him in the youth academy and make a judgement when they reach 17 if they get signed or not. currently i have 4 prospects.

Coppa Nazionale: i'm in the semi's, currently playing napoli on the second leg after winning the first 1-0. hopefully i make it to the finals and win that, as the league title seems almost out of grasp from Juve and their run...

Decided finally to go with Leeds United. Thought it would be fun to do a what if scenario, such as what if the team was bought by wealthy investors. Went around and got young players that might be willing to play in the Championship for a season, if the team were to be promoted. My rules are I get promoted or I sell off my best players, highest is a 76, comparable to QPR in overall team ability.

I play on Legendary using Orion's sliders. I'm not full manual, but rather I am semi-assisted.

I also decided to start a webpage for my career mode, rather than posting as a blog here. It's $12 for the year, and I'm older, and have the money so why not. It's easier and better functionality. I'v almost got the website done. Should have the first game, a Capital One Cup tie against Blackpool up sometime tonight Eastern Time...if the wife and kids cooperate.

I'm at the beginning of my Chelsea career mode n using the Orion And Friends' FIFA 14 Sim Slider Set with 10 min. I lost just one game, against Fulham, in home (LOL), 1x2.

But i have a concern. I bought the catalogue option that give me a offer from "my National Team". Well, im an England lad in fifa, cause i want to manage the England Team. But i haven't receive the offer yeat n im at sept or october in game. Its that normal? It takes a while until I receive the offer? Cause in FIFA 13 i receive the offer (from Brazil in that time) just when I load the career after the buy.
