Orlando City Wins Season Opener From 2 Wonder Goals From Ronaldhinho

Orlando City started at home against Colorado, a team not expected to make the playoffs.... It was 0-0 with 60 minutes gone by and I had picked up 3 yellows, so I decided to make 3 changes, Ronaldinho, Gunter, Marvias... It wasn't until the 70th minute until Ronaldinho got a perfect free kick for a brilliant right foot like his, right outside the box about 20 yards, he curved it past the wall and directly into the top right corner! amazing. (First FK of 2014 for me, played with players not as talented i guess lololol)....

4 Minutes later, Ronaldinho was on the end of a brilliant pass from Adryan to knock in his 2nd goal with his head....

Orlando won the first match of the season, 2-0.

Your story is great, one of the ones I actually looked at before starting my career with them :P

I've already started investing which will be shown in my next update, most of my funds next season will be going into youth development since I'm pretty happy with my squad. Thanks for the suggestion on Williams, I'll keep a close eye on him.

If I remember correctly, Bilbao's transfer policy is only players with Basque roots, OR non-Basque players that developed in a Basque youth academy. Pretty much you can scout anywhere and they're eligible. Also any youth players from Real Sociedad since their Basque as well but don't have the same policy. Bilbao always intrigued me to start a career with but when I did I only lasted about 2 seasons before calling it quits. Don't remember why. This was before I got into the youth academy so I probably needed that to keep me interested. After reading all your posts I feel like picking them up again! Good luck!

Other than that the squad looks good, just assess your team when playing games. If certain players are struggling or not playing like you would like them to, decide if you want to cash in for a different player or deepen the squad to have more options. You have that luxury now with the funds at your disposal. Good luck!
Ok so I did what you suggested in dumping a LM and picking up a RM. But I kinda went overboard. Had the money so said what the hell. Here's the FIFA article lol.

Manchester Utd and Real Madrid Finally Agree On Terms For Bale

Real Madrid have confirmed that they have agreed to let Gareth Bale go to Manchester Utd in a deal that will see Wilfried Zaha join Real Madrid and a transfer fee rumored to be around $120,000,000
Just saying before I get attacked for that fee, Bale is 90 OVR at 25 y/o. What an addition to my squad.

Diego Chara has arrived on contract expiry to Orlando City. 69 ovr CDM with great work rate, and offensive threat as well with pace.

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:RelyOnVML/> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]-->At the start of the 2015 summer transfer window, I was given €36.5 million and €180,000 in wages to strengthen last year’s title-winning squad. Rather than the ‘two for every position’ philosophy I generally use when competing in the Champions Cup, I opted for a strong starting XI with a very capable bench.

Because he was so outstanding during last year’s loan, the first thing I did was bring Tomáš Kalas in from Chelsea on a permanent basis for €7.5 million. I also needed a forward who could play wide or through the middle.

With just a year left on his contract at CSKA Moskva, Jeremain Lens seemed like the right fit. CSKA wanted €8.5 million, but they settled for a million less rather than risk losing him for free.

The next move was for another Dutch international, this time PSV left back Jetro Willems for a relatively low fee of €3 million plus Bojan Jokić (valued at €1.6 million).

In between negotiations with the club and the player, Real Betis came in with a €2.2 million bid for Moi Gomez, who was the only player I listed for loan/transfer.

I’d made the crucial signings, and I wanted to upgrade the role of attacking midfielder; Jonathan de Guzman simply wasn’t the right guy for the job. I still had close to €20 million left, so I decided to get a player I’ve admired for quite some time. For the staggering price of €13.5 million plus de Guzman (valued at €4.4 million), I was able to secure Adam Lallana from Southampton.

For now, the team is set up to play 4-2-3-1 in the three preseason fixtures and opening league games. But by the end of the transfer window, I'd like to make one more change so that I can play either a 4-4-2 or a 3-4-2-1.

Here is a quick backdrop. Added 18 teams from MLS to Chile League, kept Chivas & San Jose in MLS, added Orlando City to Chile.

Added the top Chili teams into the Columbian league, replacing lower level sides to MLS.

Wanted to Create the best set up for the South American Champions Cup and include MLS sides.

3 teams from MLS, 3 from Columbia, 4 from Brasil, 4 from Argentina, 2 from Mexico

Orlando City Loses To NY Red Bulls In Clausura Finals
After beating RSL in two legs 4-2, and beating Columbus in two legs 2-2, we met the New York City Red Bulls in the finals, and for some reason, we were no match for them over the 2 legs. We lost 4-2.

So its looks like Orlando City, Red Bulls & LA Galaxy have qualified for the South American Champions League.

                Awards & Trophies
I won manager of the year.
Adryan was awarded the golden boot for scoring 27 goals
As a team we won both the Apertura & Clausura regular season titles
As a team we also won the Apertura Championship, our only trophy.
Winning the Apertura final qualified us for the South American Champions League.

                Transfers Getting Ready For 2014
We were awarded almost 19m in transfer budget, and a big chunk of wage.... My goals for 2014 are to win the South American Champions League and then look for a job in Europe, so I went all in this market, getting older players who I know they know how to win.

                JOINING THE CLUB:
                Drogba for 3.8M, 60K Wage
                Landon Donovan 3M, 70k Wage
                Ronaldinho 5M, 70k Wage

I tried soo hard to get Pirlo, but the guy wouldnt accept a 150k wage, so screw him.

                DEPARTED THE CLUB
Valentino CB to Ado Den Haag 325k
                Braun CM to ODD 100k
                Woszczynski GK to Cambur 210k

                Objective
The board wants another playoff Championship.

Im EXCITED having built this team up from a 2 star team to a team that I hope can win the South American Champions League and Dominate the MLS

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

                    Bayern Munich update here!

Won the treble last season as expected. Including a 4-2 win over Real Madrid in the CL Final.

                    2014-15 SEASON:

Starting the season, I got into my usual routine of going though contracts. I offer players who are <= 1 year. Kroos being the only player who was critical to keep. I offered him a contract extension, and to no one's surprise, he turned it down. This was disappointing for a couple reasons. I plan on using Kroos as my right footed free kick taker (Alaba on the left). I am also now going to be down a CDM player. Schweinsteiger and Martinez are the other two playing in a 4-2-3-1. Another major issue is that my ideal replacement (Vidal) had just been signed to Manchester City. I am keeping with Bayern's IRL transfer policy of only buying finished players. So no Draxler, Pogba, etc. Although Pogba would be the first option, he is only 81 rated at the moment. Which isn't enough for the first team quality in my squad. Since then, Kroos has become "less adamant" about leaving. I'm hoping he stays. My other targets are David Luiz and Yaya Toure, one of which I will sign in January if Kroos doesn't sign the deal.

Mandzukic left for Real Madrid, with the pre contract arrival of Lewandowski. Boateng wanted out and asked to leave. In order to find a good replacement of equal value, I sent him + cash to BVB for Hummels. Worked out well for both teams.

Again, I sit atop the Bundesliga with 21 points after 7 games. I just finished perhaps my most intense game of FIFA I've ever played. Against BVB Dortmund, at Signal Iduna Park. Here's a bit of a recap:

With the rain pouring down heavily, this match was intense from the start. A very intense battle started in the midfield, neither team able to really take control. Shaqiri got a break down the left side and cut in on Grosskreutz, only to have his shot from just inside the box tipped out of play by Weidenfeller. A few minutes later, Reus got open down their left side and sent a bullet straight for the far upper corner, but sent it just wide. Aubameyang almost broke the deadlock with a 1 on 1 with Neuer, but the ball glanced off the woodwork and was cleared away safely by Badtsuber. Going into halftime, the score was 0-0, with both teams having something to be happy about. After the break, Bayern took Shaqiri off for Ribery. Around the 60 minute mark, Lahm crossed a corner into the box, which was met by Muller. It was aimed towards the lower left side of the net, but Weidenfeller was able to push it out...right to Lewandowski, who cooly shot it first touch into the near side. 1-0 Bayern. The rest of the game was an intense push for the equalizer from BVB. In the 86th minute, they were awarded a penalty on a questionable call by the referee. With everyone's hearts racing, Reus stepped up. He drilled a low shot to the right, but Neuer was able to dive and make the save. For that, he was awarded man of the match.

Pep Guardiola had this to say: "Ich denke, wir haben gut gespielt.

(google translate xD I know some German, at least enough to hold a good conversation, but not all the words. Just tried to add some realism into my post here. lol)

That's all for now! More later!

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

                      Chesterfield FC - 2013/14 Season

Hey folks. I've been reading this forum and thread for a while, but never posted until now. I just started a new CM with Chesterfield FC in League 2, and thought it would be fun to track and share my progress as I try to advance them up the league pyramid.

I'm playing 10 minute halves on World Class using zjac's sliders. I plan to up the length and difficulty as the seasons progress. But the ugly football in League 2 can be a chore sometimes, so I don't want to drag these first few seasons out too much.

To make this a little more challenging and realistic, I have implemented a few guidelines that I have to follow. First, I want to keep transfers as reasonable as possible. For instance, why would Luke Shaw want to leave a starting spot on a BPL team to come down to League 2? I have no doubt Anthony Martial and Zacharia Bakkali would love to play in England, but I don’t imagine they’d choose Chesterfield. So I'm trying to limit myself to young players or those not getting playing time in leagues just above mine, or from smaller leagues overseas.

Second, I want to build up my youth academy, but focusing primarily on British youth, so I don't flood my academy with platinum talent too quickly. My rule is, as long as I am in League 2, I can have one scout devoted to England. This will be my primary scout for the whole CM, and he will only ever scout England. Once I get promoted to League 1, I can add a second scout who can go to the rest of the British Isles. When I make it to the Championship, the second scout can begin to visit continental Europe. And when I reach the BPL I can buy a third scout who can travel to the rest of the world. I want to build through youth, but I don't want them to be nothing but platinum Brazilians I find with a fleet of 5*/5* scouts. Nothing wrong with that approach - just not what I want in this CM.

That said, I did allow myself one extravagance. The budgets in League 2 are restrictive, and I wanted to buy at least one good scout to start looking for future English stars. I didn’t want to go full-on financial takeover, so I created an 81 ovr ST and sold him to Sevilla for £7 million. I used that money to buy a 4*/4* scout, send him to England for 9 months, and bring in a few transfers.

                      Transfers Out
ST Green (created player), 81 ovr, Sevilla, £7,000,000
ST Hazel, 53 ovr, St. Pat’s, loan
GK Mason, 51 ovr, Colchester, loan
CB Broadhead, 52 ovr, Hartlepool, loan
LB Smith, 61 ovr, Charlton, £100,000
CB Hird, 62 ovr, Milwall, £250,000

                      Transfers In
CM Schuller, 64 ovr, free agent
GK Bentley, 62 ovr, Southend United, £350,000
LB Obita, 64 ovr, Reading, £550,000
CB Tarkowski, 63 ovr, Brentford, £875,000
CB Vegas, 55 ovr, Audax Italiano, £225,000
CM Grimes, 50 ovr, Exeter City, £65,000

Obita is the closest I’ve come to violating my guidelines, but Reading transfer listed him, so I figured I’d take a shot. They asked for 1.1 million for him, so I was shocked when they accepted my offer of half that. It took some negotiation to bring him down to League 2, and he’s now the highest paid player on my team, but man was it worth it. I love fast, attacking fullbacks. His pace and technical ability are so good that I can pass him the ball and just let him go down the field, cutting around and past opponents. I’m using him as a LB now, but he’ll probably become a winger later after he develops more.

My main priority was to shore up my back line and keeper. Bentley has been in great form and has taken over the starting GK job. Tarkowski and Vegas are primarily backups, but they’ve gotten a ton of playing time and have been fantastic when called upon. I found Vegas in a Plymouth CM a few months ago, and love his ability in the air. He grew really fast then, so I hope he’ll do the same this time.

Schuller and Grimes shored up my CM depth. In my 4-2-3-1, I always have left-footed LCBs and LCMs, and right-footed RCBs and RCMs. Chesterfield had no left-footed CMs, so I went after those two. Schuller’s been pretty solid for a free agent. I found Grimes through the GTN, searching for “potential.” Wasn’t thrilled with his OVR after I signed him at the deadline, but he’s got decent technical ability for a sub, and I hope he’ll grow.

Thanks for reading this first post! Sorry if it’s too long, but I would love to hear any feedback or suggestions you may have. I’ve played the first two months of the season, and will update progress after a few more matches.

                            TEAM: Man Utd.

so I played my first Capitol One cup game against arsenal. With Cazorla scoring in the 45th minute I was down but Mata pulled one back in the 72nd min. I then went on to extra time and Varane scored his first goal... but it was an own goal Ik the 100th min. so u thought I was Definently out of the match. But like united in rl i pulled one back again with kagawa in the 109th min. the game then went to penaltys and it went on for I while I was really nervous after de Gea saved Sceznys penalty and... who would have guessed it Varane stood up to take the penalty BUT HE PUT IT AWAY IN THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE NET! even though it was the first game of the Capitol one cup it was my best game yet and Varane made up for it at the end by scoring the last penalty

Final score: Ars 2-2 Man U (8-9) PEN

BREAKING NEWS: De Gea needs to recapture form- I have no idea what this is all about after he played a big part in the last game against Arsenal

in other words Germany have asked me to be their manager so I accepted like any normal person would do. you are now looking at the new manager of Germany

Nani is out for 5 weeks and I was planning on buying the ox incase this ever happend but I didn't buy him this summer and I have no other wingers. now welbeck is playing the LM role for 5 weeks...

I have only played two more games in the league as I have been pretty busy lately but I am still in first with 24 points there's points ahead of 2nd placed Newcastle but they have a game in hand.

I will update again once I am in January Window

Anders Lindegaard has requested to leave in Jan. which is no problem as he has not played one match for me all I have to do is replace him.

depending on your formation, move Mata/Kagawa to the left, Rooney to CAM/CF, and Welbeck/Van Persie Striker.

Good luck!
Yeah I imagine it could get frustrating following their policy season after season, thats why I want to build an academy that will provide me with some of the best talent. Good to know people are following my posts, thanks!
