I know I mentioned Salomon Rondon in my last Alcorcon update and he'd be a great signing for you as he was with Malaga for 2 years before being signed by Rubin Kazan (Russia) in the summer of 2012. If Malaga's roster is anything like what I see in sofifa you could definitely use a 25-year old striker in the hight 70's who develops into the mid 80's

Awesome signing Indi! As long as you play him consistently and he doesn't run into any injuries you won't have to worry about a stats decrease. Can't wait to see how he fits into your squad!

I really can't wait to start updating my Stuttgart CM, but my kids are hogging the PS3, which makes it really hard to get in the FIFA time...

So hopefully I'll be able to update today or tomorrow--be on the lookout...I've put a fair amount of time into the aesthetics.

EDIT: Finally got to at least sim through the friendlies and such, so expect a few updates today and tomorrow.

VfB STUTTGART EAGER FOR RETURN TO TOP HALF OF TABLE
              June 1, 2013

Stuttgart -- 2012 was not very kind to VfB Stuttgart. They finished 12th in the Bundesliga table, only a season after finishing 6th. Manager Bruno Labbadia was in danger of losing his position, and some players wanted to move on to greener pastures.

But club president Bernd Wahler wants the supporters to know that this is not 2012. With a new year comes renewed hope that VfB Stuttgart turns around their fortunes and makes it back to the top half of the table. "It's a tough league--there's such balance between the teams. No team is a pushover. It's not as top heavy as the English league," Wahler stated recently. While manager Labbadia was kept on following the down season, Wahler stopped short of giving him a ringing endorsement. "We want to return to winning. It is our hope that Bruno is the right man to take us to the top of the table." With the club president's comments, it is clear that Labbadia is on a short leash. If VfB Stuttgart do not perform well early on, a change of leadership is likely.

For his part, Bruno Labbadia is not fazed. "I was not happy about last season, but I do think we just had some spots of bad luck that led to the disappointment. I'm not worried. We have great players, a great club. We won't be down long."

VfB Stuttgart commences their season with friendlies against SSC Napoli, LOSC Lille and Hellas Verona before kicking off Bundesliga play with an away game at 1. FSV Mainz 05. They are also competing in the Euro League with group play against Rosenborg BK, SC Braga and FC Utrecht.

Q: What what an exceptional run to go from 5th in February to top of the table at the end of April. You have already secured promotion to League 1 with a game yet to play. How big of an accomplishment is this for you and your players when most experts counted you out at the start of the season?

A: This has been a magical season and I am proud that these players will get to move up and play against the competition of League 1 next season. No group of players deserves it more than these guys and they have made me a very proud manager to have led them to this point. We are all looking forward to the next challenge and can't wait to compete in League 1.

Q: There are several whispers that the young players in your academy could be promoted for next season. Is there any truth behind these rumors? With the rise to League 1, will they be ready for the competition?

A: I have not yet evaluated to players and the situation in their positions yet. After the season is over I will take the time to evaluate each of them and determine if they are ready to contribute yet or not. I will be able to answer this better after the match against Wimbledon.

Q: With one match left in the season you are tied at the top of the table. Your goal differential has you far ahead of Portsmouth, but the league title is still yet to be decided. A win against Wimbledon will secure your spot atop the table. How are you approaching this match with the league on the line?

A: First of all let me just say that Wimbledon are a good squad that are certainly no pushovers. ChicoBass their manager has done a great job of organizing them and making them a very competitive team in this league. However, our goal is to win the league right now, and they are all that stands between us and that goal now. We will be fielding our strongest team other than the injured Jack Sampson, and we will be taking the game right to them. It is our hope that we will be the better team and come out on top with the league title in hand.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

                    October

                    Southend United 2-0 York City
                    Leonard 27', Futács 33'
The first match of the month resulted in a straightforward 2-0 victory for Southend United over York City. Ryan Leonard opened the scoring with a curling 20 yard shot which left the keeper standing still before Futács finished off the scoring by rounding the keeper and cheekily tapped it in without looking.

                    Cheltenham Town 0-2 Southend United
                    Straker 13', Jolley 69'
Southend United claimed yet another victory this season, this time away at Cheltenham Town. Wingback Straker opened the scoring when he burst past the Cheltenham defense and curved it past Scott Brown. Cheltenham Town threatened in the latter stages of the first half and beginning of the second, forcing Bentley to make 4 saves and hitting the post twice. Despite that, Southend scored the next goal through Christian Jolley. Luke James tore down the right wing and sent a delightful cross, which the former Newport County striker headed past Brown to finish the game.

                    Southend United 3-0 Stevenage
                    Futács 29' 61' 88'
Márko Futács had the game of his life as Southend United defeated Stevenage in their first Johnstone Paint Trophy match this season. The Hungarian opened the scoring after a misjudged header by a Stevenage defender and he calmly slotted the ball to the keeper's near post. Stevenage started throwing players forward as they looked for an equalizer. However, it was not to be as they left too much space down the wing for Conor Clifford and he sent in a cross that found Futács for his second goal. After that, Stevenage fell apart after they went two goals down and Southend laid siege to their 18 yard box. Futács rounded off his hat trick after stealing the ball off of a defender and powering it into the net.

                    Problem with James?
Luke James has not had the best of times lately, with the forward goalless in six games. The former Hartlepool forward has gotten plenty of service as he looks to break his drought but things simply aren't going his way. Open goal misses against York City and Cheltenham Town has lowered his confidence and has made fans question the signing of James in the first place. Manager Surajreet9 spoke to the press yesterday about the 18 year old. "Yes, Luke has not been in the best of form lately but he is still adapting to the role I assigned him. His job is to link up with the midfield and drop a little bit further than Márko does to bring the ball forward. While his scoring may have gone down, he has registered 3 assists in recent matches, which is wonderful from him. Trust me, he'll be back to scoring in no time."

                    Southend United 3-1 Exeter City
                    Futács 4', James 58' 83'
                    Storey 47'
Luke James returned to scoring ways as Southend United defeated Exeter City 3-1 in Roots Hall. Prior to the match, Surajreet9 gave his full support to James as he looked to regain his scoring touch, having not scored in six previous matches. Futács was the man to open up the scoring, latching on to a brilliant pass from Ryan Leonard to power the ball into the roof of the net. Southend continued to dominated and James was unlucky not to score on the stroke of halftime after being put through by Futács. The forward hit the ball and it was destined for the top left corner but the keeper got a hand to it. Exeter City got their goal just after half time as Storey was found in yards of space to tap the ball past a onrushing Bentley. They weren't equal for long as James finally broke his drought with a rebounded effort from Leonard's shot. The 18 year old finished the game with a goal of the season contender. White ran down the wing and sent in a cross. James controlled it with his first touch, let it bounce, then smashed it into the net. He celebrated and ran to the touchline and hugged his manager.

                    Bury 2-2 Southend United
                    Eastwood 18', Jolley 70'
                    Milller 20', Nardiello 90'
Southend United dropped points for the first time this season at Gigg Lane against Bury F.C. Eastwood was handed a start and did not disappoint, beating the offside trap and slotting into the bottom left corner after a superb pass from Laird. Bury hit back instantly, running past Jacob Murphy, who was surprisingly chosen at right wingback for the match, and sending in a cross for Miller the Killer to power past Bentley. The two teams were equal at half time and for 25 minutes of the second half until Jolley was found with a stunning cross from Murphy to put the Shrimpers up 2-1. Bury did not roll over and a horrible error from Thompson gifted Nardiello a goal to tie the match.

                    Southend United 0-0 Northampton
Without a doubt the most boring match of the season so far. Both teams simply couldn't attack or even bring the ball forward in any way. Southend goalkeeper Bentley touched the ball an astonishing 24 times as the league leaders faltered to give Chesterfield first place in League 2.

Southend United 2-1 Preston North End
                    Futács 33' 57'
                    Davies 19'
This was always going to be a tough match for Southend, and it got even tougher as Craig Davies put Preston ahead with a thundering shot for 30 yards out. Southend United pressed forward and were rewarded as Márko Futács found himself in space and slotted past Declan Rudd to equalize. Both teams pushed forward and controversy struck as Futács was given what appeared to be a non contact penalty. Preston manager Graham Westley was seen arguing furiously with the fourth official and was sent to the stands. Futács made no mistake from 12 yards and sent Southend United through to the quarter finals of the Capital One Cup.

                    Thoughts
I gave Eastwood a hard time about being a useless striker but I'll admit, he has been pretty decent for me recently. He makes runs at the perfect time and he hasn't been offside once. The only thing letting him down is his woeful strength. Garrero has improved but I am definitely replacing him in January. I have some targets lined up and I will tell you guys about them in the December update. Futács has been amazing for me. I can't stress how good he is. He can be sluggish on the ball but his strength is what beats everyone off and allows him to score. He has 16 goals in 15 matches so far. Murphy, Leonard and Laird have also impressed. Straker has been awful. He scored a goal but he is out of position all the time. He may be a left midfielder but I set his work rates up to be medium attacking, high defensive but he is always out of sight. Anyone have recommendations for a left wingback?

P.S: Would you guys prefer if I had 2 month updates? I am only doing monthly updates right now so if you guys would like 2 month updates, I will definitely do that.

Wow, your youth players are pretty good. James Watson looks like the next Gordon Banks! Also, great job on getting Morecambe to first!

yes!!! You did it man! I knew all along that you would and Watson looks A-MAZING. No doubt you'll call him up after his birthday and the other two look like they could contribute at this time as well. Excellent job!

Q: Congratulations on winning the league title! This was a season full of unexpected successes. What can you tell us about this special season?

A: When the club brought me on I had a vision to win, and win we sure did. These players have been outstanding and I couldn't have asked for a better group. It was a little nerve-wracking to only manager a draw against Wimbledon, but the results fell in our favor as Portsmouth drew against Hartlepool. At the end of the day here we are as champions.

Q: What can you tell us about your youth players currently in the system? Can we expect to see any of them making a senior debut soon?

A: Both Watson and Humphreys still need to get a little more experience before I will consider promoting them. They are both players with the potential to bust into this squad, but at only 15 years old we want to see them mature a little more. Jack Bowditch will be moved up to the senior squad. I can't be sure when he will make his debut, but you can expect it to be this season.

Q: With League 1 coming up, what changes do you expect to make to the squad to prepare for the new challenge?

A: We have several pre-contract players coming in that I know will be able to contribute greatly to our squad right away. Other than that I would like to bring in another defender and possible a striker as well to provide better depth for the 5-3-2 formation that led us down the stretch this season. I will have to wait and see what funds are available and I will be able to make more decisions at that time.

Hello everyone, sorry for the inactivity, but my work computer broke and that was what I was putting my updates on with. It's fixed now, and I just wanted to say my Aston Villa career didn't save and I started a milan road to glory career, and am already one season in starting second season, winning the Coppe Nazional and the League by simming, which is a shame, so I will do one more season with updates and take a job offer, as it is easier than expected

Indi I love it your back

Simp I vote Inter due to them having some nice old players and some great young talent although buying a few more players would be good.

Getting a bit lost on the league 2 updates but still loving it

Finally I'm having one last roll of the dice with a fifa 14 career mode tossing up between Stoke, Changing their style and making them become a Title contender, Derby, Promoting them to the PL and staying up for more than one season. Giving them stability and after a few season getting them into Europe. Or finally; Nottingham Forest (retry it) and get them back to their glory days.

So Inter it is! The appointment press conference and the squad list will be posted in a few hours.

Choose Stoke. They have a lot of old players and they are an interesting team. The budget isn't bad.
